My MOST FAVORITE store to go to for DIY. People are ALWAYS FRIENDLY and if they dont have it their store they will call the other one on 52nd for u! Prices are very reasonable compared to some other stores in my neighborhood. Rather support them than the big stores.

My toilet kept running and running so I thought I should try replacing the flapper valve. I took the old one out, dried it off and put it in a Ziploc and carried it down to 9th Ave Hardware. In about 30 seconds, I walked out with my new flapper, came home and installed it.Boom! No more constantly running can!Fast and accurate help at prices similar to Home Depot, I think thats great.

If you want to leave early, then change your hours.I checked your listing on Google to make sure you were still open.Your hours say you close at 8. I called at 7:50pm to make sure you were still open.You answered, said Were closed, sorry and hung up.Dont do that!If your wife is going into labor, fine.If you suddenly realized you left the iron on and you need to run home, I get it.If its an emergency, I can understand. Were all human.But if you just really dont wanna stay til 8pm, then change your posted hours to 7:45pm!! Problem solved!When you are my neighborhood hardware store and I discover I cant rely on you, thats a problem. Had I known you didnt want my business, I could have tried to run elsewhere before they closed.To their credit they did let me in. I was rushed. I was asked if I could pay in cash because their credit card system had already been shut down, and they couldnt offer me a receipt either.I get it. Having a job can be inconvenient. But thats why its called work. We all need to take care of the people who are depending on us to serve them.Please dont do this to anyone else.

I needed a screw driver and I needed it fast! It was easy to find and the staff was helpful but not pushy. Plus I was happy that they used Apple Pay seeing as how I forgot my wallet in my rush out of the hotel room.

Good local hardware store. Small place but absolutely packed with stuff. Very likely they have what youre looking for. If they dont be sure to ask. Several times they had what I wanted but it wasnt out on the shelf and they has to go grab it for me.

This is my go-to hardware store in the neighborhood. They will ask you what you need within a few minutes of setting foot inside. For such a small store, they have everything imaginable! Prices are competitive. Its truly impressive the variety of items they fit into their small store.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Bait and switch at cash register using $20 bills switched for $10. WATCH cashier very carefully! Goods in store are limited to poorer quality plastic items and very high prices. Better Business Bureau will here from me about these guys.

Its a small neighborhood hardware and houseware store. Overpriced. Theyll help you find something if you need help. They could be friendlier in there as you are spending your money.

There are really only 2 hardware stores in this neighborhood. This and the other one on 42nd street. Its as if they both know this because the service at this hardware store is horrible and the prices at the other store are higher. The guys do not really know the answers to basic questions regarding the equipment and home-maintenance and it seems as if they just want to make a quick buck by selling you the first thing that pops in their mind. The other hardware store on 42nd street is a bit more knowledgable but they are definitely more expensive. So its really a choice: you can come to this hardware store but you better know EXACTLY what you need.. otherwise they will sell you an ox-yoke for a job that requires a socket wrench. The staff are unhelpful, I must re-iterate. The prices are good for the cheaply made junk that you can get. Just dont expect these guys to know a thing about hardware or exhibit a slight degree of interest in being helpful.
