I was beyond impressed with the level of friendliness and customer service here! We came in to the store minutes before they were about to close and had a complicated ask of cutting multiple lengths of chain. The woman working there took extra care to help us and made sure we had what we needed. I wish more places like this existed! Simple customer service goes such a long way— I would definitely recommend this place over big-box hardware stores like Home Depot.

This place is wonderful, they have what you need, you do not have to get the item, they get it for you. i love the service, a real neighborhood great Mom-and-Pop store, Love shopping here better than a big store, they sell tools like drills, you name it they sell it, go there they have it all and the 2 people who wait on me are very helpful. they are on the corner cant miss it at all, an area store for years a Chelsea store a long time

The comments on friendly and helpful service are right on the money--even when your purchase is a small one. Went there last night--just a couple of minutes before closing--and I was personally shown what I needed (along with the available options, as they had more than one), cheerfully and without carrying on about the desire anyone might have about closing up the store. And no problems in being personally taken toward the rear of the store, to help me find exactly what was best for me. Highly recommended.

I have relied on Kove Brothers for years and they never disappoint. I have gone to them with so many questions: How do I fix this? What do you suggest for this? and they always have an answer. Theyre really knowledgeable, friendly, and know their stuff. Go to Home Depot (like I did recently) and you could spend 15 minutes waiting for someone to help you. Who most likely doesnt know very much. Not at Kove Bros. These people really know what theyre doing and they have a huge amount of stuff.

A really nice, old school hardware store in Chelsea. You can find a wide variety of items including plumbing and electrical supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful but the prices are a little higher than the major chains for obvious reasons. Worth the trip.

I prefer the 89 7th Ave location, but this one isnt bad either. Its a bit more crowded and stressful than its uptown twin, but you wont find a bigger, more convenient hardware store in New York.Im sure Ill return the next time the renovation bug bites me.

Place need better customer service and getting people out of the store faster rather than them waiting to pay and asking for cashiers

Kove Bros. is the hardware store where your Superindentent goes. Its an old fashioned hardware store that has merchandise from floor to ceiling including a full plumbing section. They have a lot of hard-to-find items. And if they dont have it, they can order it for you.

Horrible experience,,I went there to have some keys made and I asked the dark skinned African American man in there do you make keys and all he did was grunt yes,,(IM A AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN BTW)he was rude and had NO customer service,,Kove you need to hire better workers....I will Never go back in there.....terrible...

Were tourists who needed a large screwdriver to open a stuck suitcase. They had exactly the right one. The people were friendly and very helpful, plus the store has real, vintageNYC character.

You could go to Home Depot to save a couple of bucks, get zero to little customer care, and wander around a cavernous store -- or go to Kove Brothers where the employees are experienced and willing and able to really help you. And youll be in and out more quickly.

Everyone here is very warm and helpful. Im surprised by the stuff they have, its the place you go for when youre not sure to order something online/hardware you might not think a store has, but this place keeps surprising me.

Its small but it has a lot of stuff! Every time I go there I get satisfiedYou might some help from the - friendly - staff to find what you need, but they have good prices - besides doing cheap key copies.
