Though Im originally from Houston I found myself doing a major purchase in that hardware store- Basics Plus and I LOVED their personal touch. Thanks Steve for being so helpful

Decent selection, friendly staff and item pricing which is on par or less than the local competition. One word of warning to always double-check everything one purchases. Especially key copies (but they are very good at correcting errors). Open to 9pm everyday (as of Jan 2020).

There is a TrueValue two blocks south that is cheaper with better service. Store was overpriced and staff was rude.Now they threatened me in the reply. Says it all.

Being stuck in the city without home depot sucks, but fortunately we have this gem of a shop. Theyve manages to cram everything you could possibly need and Ive visited multiple days and multiple times within the same day. All the staff were males, some young that may have never worked construction but they know how to find what you need in that crammed place. All courteous and professional. Theyre open late until 10 when all others close!

There used to be a wonderful store in that location that sold a lot of household items from picture frames and light bulbs to storage cabinets and sleeper sofas. The selection was eclectic and the customer service always friendly and polite. I used to go there a lot even if I could find the same thing that I needed some other place for less. Now instead of a great neighborhood store we got a fancy warehouse filled with useless gizmos sold at ridiculous prices, staffed by a bunch of hipsters who have no idea how to treat a customer right.

This hardware store in one of the best in midtown. Always quick and very helpful when I need anything.

I recently was locked out of my Apartment building and was referrred to the Locksmith service Basics plus offers. The service was fast and price was reasonable. 👍🏽

I saw on Google and google Maps the store was open until 10:00pm. I rushed to get to the store and got there over 10 minutes before closing. I saw the attendant and the salesperson at the register and they had locked the door. I knocked until they finally stopped ignoring me and they opened the door and said they decided to close early. I told them I needed something urgently and had taken the time and money to go to the store. They said too bad for me and locked the door and did not want to sell me the simple thing I needed that they clearly had. So much for a neighborhood hardware store and supporting local and small store! Next time I’ll go directly to Home-depot or Lowe’s as they small store do not really care or respect the posted times on line or on google. Save yourself the time money frustration and disappointment and go to a big store.

They have a great selection of Miele Vaccum! Way more than PC Richard & Son and Bed Bath & Beyond. Very impressed on the knowledge for each vaccum as well. They even offer Meile vaccum repairs if they are damaged which is great. In all this small store is amazing!

Never call these guys for any reason having to do with locks!! They are NOT locksmiths. Theyre a hardware store who refer locksmith issues to a third party. We had to call them 4 times over a 1 hour period before we learned that the real locksmith wasnt answering the phone.

I walked in and was helped almost immediately by someone who knew all about vacuums. He was able to help me navigate to the right solution, he repaired my vacuum the same week and I didnt have to buy a new one 😊

I am amazed at all the household items I can find in this small store. It is like Home Depot and Bed Bad and Beyond had a small child.

Lady who answers phone barely speaks English and is very very rude. I asked to speak to Mr Cohen and she said thank you anywayI said but I called to speak to Mr Cohen and she goesI have to gothen hung up
