This is THE best neighborhood hardware store in so many ways. The people who work there are the nicest, they have fair prices and those weird goods you cant find elsewhere but need when youre trying to fix stuff. Ive depended on this place for as long as I can remember.

Good local hardware store. It is on the small-medium size for NYC, but has most of what Ive needed and the staff are very helpful.

Good selection, helpful staff, clean. Impressive collection of McMaster fasteners for all occasions, something thats hard to find even in larger hardware stores.

Excellent staff, very helpful! I fumbled around for about 30 minutes looking for an adapter on my own at Ace hardware down the street before giving up. I walked into this place and the staff got me set up and out the door in 5 minutes.

This place has everything we need. The owners are kind and friendly, things are reasonably priced and they have lots of selections. We will definitely keep shopping here!

Hours inaccurate on website. Sold me the wrong piece even though I brought in the old one (in a food storage bag). They have good merchandise generally though.

The employees at this store are amazing! Ive only had great experiences here and have saved a TON of time thanks to the know-how of all the folks who work here. They seem to have just about everything crammed into the place and a team that genuinely cares about their customers. Would give 6 stars if possible!

I miss walking into this place and seeing THE LADY that works in the back I believe her name starts with the letter M she was very helpful kind and very nice when I came in the store 2 weeks ago I wonder what happen to her I don’t see her there anymore

Samuel Lam gave a one star rating earlier as his first and only review ever. I call BS. He claimed he was thrown out of the store, really? I claim disgruntled employee or internet troll or paid reputation assassin, which is actually a thing in SEO (Search engine optimization). This is an amazing small business. They have great stock, and the employees know where EVERYTHING is located. Anything you need from hardware and plumbing parts to houseware items. This is a nice, well run small business.

Every time I go in there, the staff is always so helpful and attentive...like actually walking me over to the section I need. Prices and selection are pretty good too. Great neighborhood hardware store!

Lazy staff with no desire to help

Thought the presentation of merchandise is sloppy, the place has a decent selection. However, the staff can be extremely rude. I had a device with some difficult to remove screws. I asked to see if their screwdriver would remove the screws in question and was physically shoved out of the store, as if I were somehow exploiting their merchandise. Up the street on Columbus and 90th is a much larger and more professional ACE Hardware. Their staff actually took my device and removed a couple of the screws for me to be sure they were selling me the right screwdriver. The experience was night and day. I would recommend supporting the fine staff at ACE and not the Latin mafia at True Value.

Local hardware store, with all the basics you need to fix things around the house. They also have Sodastrem replacements, which for me is quite convenient. I will say it is a tad expensive, but this is NYC.
