Ive been ordering from them for years. Their customer service is excellent. If they dont have what you ordered, they will call you for an alternative. I Also Love their fabrics and have recommended my friends who sew.

I received my order today from AKN. I ordered 8 different fabrics totaling $178 and only received 3 that were the exact patterns and colors and one was the correct pattern but not the color combination I choose. I am so glad to took a screen shot before I placed my order. I am so disappointed. I will never order from this place again. The other four fabrics I received are what AKN choose to replace my choices with rather than refund my money for the patterns they could not fulfill. Inside the box was a hand written note that said they tried to call me but that my voicemail was full. No contact to discuss what I had received. I am not sure why they could not have sent an email or just refunded my money for the ones they did not have, that is retail standards. I did not give permission for AKN to replace my order with any other patterns other than what I choose. So I have $138 worth of fabric I did not select.This is very disappointing! When a store is out of an item they do not choose for the customer they give them a refund, I will never order from this business again. I spent a lot of money and I cannot use the fabric choices that AKN decided to replace for anything that I had plan to make.

The fabric is fab the selection is extensive. I had one bad customer service experience last week. Im going to go back on Monday and see if it was an off day and edit my review to suit.

Definitely one of my favorite fabric stores. There is a tremendous amount of stock for such a small space, but the turnover is so fast that it seems like all new stuff whenever I go back. Most of the fabric is around $3 per yard. Note that they ONLY sell African fabrics: do not go looking for regular solid color piece goods. Also of note: They are on the 5th floor, with no signage in the lobby. If the building you are in has the slowest elevators in the world, then youre in the right place.

My review is for the in-store experience. DELIGHTFUL well-stocked store, helpful customer service. Give yourself at least an hour to poke through the inventory. There is so much pretty fabric-- it is hard to choose!

Terrible terrible terrible customer service but the fabric section is expansive and really nice. But the customer service is tragic in there.

Absolutely beautiful and unique African fabric. Amazing quality for such inexpensive prices! I got 12 yards for $30! You cant beat that for such unique fabric

Seevice is good, but one of your staff was so disrespectful. I dont know who this tall Ghanian with his bloodshot eyes was to question me about not knowing the language when I was there to shop with my mom and didnt even say a word to him. What business of it is to know if I knew the native language for Ghana or not. I came there to shop, not to be lectured. I bet if i was white he wouldnt talk to me like that. Jesus.
