I cant begin to say enough positive things about NYC Doors in particular Guy himself. I called in a panic because our back commercial door wasnt meeting the building inspection criteria. It wouldnt open freely and needed a great deal of work to operate correctly. I couldnt believe that Guy scheduled a repair for the same day and did everything possible to repair the door. He did an amazing job and worked diligently to ensure the door was perfect. He really deserves 10 plus stars. Great work and a true angel. Thank you Guy for coming to our rescue

***** Edit 6/24 - Guy’s response to my review attempts to rewrite a bit of history. I will be posting screenshots of our correspondence showing dates and times that contradict his account as well as a copy of what we signed, which doesn’t state anywhere that it is non-refundable. *****I really wanted a long term relationship with NYC Doors and More, as we have had trouble finding reliable and consistent contractors for our buildings ongoing door needs (old building, landmarked, lots of recurring issues!) but instead I never even got out of the gate with them. After paying them a deposit before scheduling (which is not indicated as being non-refundable on anything we signed), our Super needed to take time off for some medical issues. I told Guy, the owner, that when we were ready to schedule, Id be back in touch.Meanwhile we had some other work done and the contractor that was working on those things offered to take care of the door repairs. I advised Guy of that and politely asked that he refund the $1100 hed already charged our credit card. He refused, saying hed already purchased the parts (tho nothing had been scheduled) and couldnt return them. First, thats unlikely. These parts are common and standard and not done special order. I told him that if our $1100 paid for those parts that wed take them off his hands and to let me know when hed like to drop them off - since hed basically said we owned them. He refused. Then he offered to refund half of what was charged. I told him that since no work was ever scheduled or done and no goods were ever delivered, unless he could show me what I signed that said non-refundable he needed to do the right thing and return our money.He then stopped responding. I offered him another day to respond in a professional manner but still got radio silence.So now instead of parting as an unfortunate timing incident and a potential future business relationship, it will be a contentious charge back that well file with the credit card company - in addition to the many public reviews and warnings I will post so that others dont suffer the same unnecessary situation.Maybe they do good work? Ill never know because theyre dishonest and thats all I need to know to stay away and convince others to do the same.

To be 100 %honest. I called and a man answered the phone. I told him I was calling for someone to help me fix my door frame. He replied we dont fix doors and hanged up the phone but yet all these reviews state they do fix doors. When I called back I got no answer. This place is plain old rude. That was disgusting customer service. Im baffled.

This is the best place to go! My door broke and they were able to come within 25 minutes of calling. The handy man was so sweet and fixed my door up perfectly. Trustworthy company! Never going anywhere else again. These guys are really the best! 10/10

Finally a company that has it all!!!! They were able to fix any issue and I thought they were going to clean me up because I did not ask in advance how much, it turns out they were cheaper then the two estimates I had and better quality!!! God Bless forever thankful!!!!!

NYC Doors was there to replace a broken lock and fixe the intercom in an efficient and cost effective manor! It’s so nice to know that you can rely on a business to care for your loved ones in an emergency!
