This store are the biggest crooks I bought my wife engagement ring from them a few years ago never got the ring appraised because I trusted them and took their word that the ring was what they said it was .I just replace my wife wedding band and bought her some new earrings and decided to get all her jewelry appraised for insurance purposes the appraisal told me the center diamond has been enhanced and was a very cheap bad stone but has been laser drilled to look like a higher clarity I was so hurt and disappointed when I hurt this.They are suppose to tell you what they are selling you,They didn’t give me the paperwork for the ring until a week also if you read all the reviews you will see they have a history of selling clarity enhanced diamond don’t waste your time or money with this shop.God will deal with this shop what you do to people other people will do to you and your family members.

I bought an engagement ring from them back in 2008. I just had it looked at by several jewelers recently who said diamond has been enhanced and close to worthless. Would not allow me to upgraded stone even though paper work they provided stated they would because all they sell are enhanced stones or color enhanced stones (which is same) and I was wanting to stone that was enhanced.

All in all, it was the personalized service and Mikes interest in working with us to create the perfect ring for me rather than just selling what was available at Leon Diamond. SCAMMERS ALERT. My parents bought a sapphire with certificate saying its a natural stone, gave it to GRS ( Swiss appraisal firm) and turned out to be synthetic ( man-made). 36K down the drain. You are to be warned walking into that store. Tried to contact them on multiple channels and so far I have been ignored.

These guys are a bunch of crooks! They are smooth talkers but shady characters. They WILL sell you a clarity enhanced diamond without ever telling you that it is. Thats what they did to me. After the purchase they sneak the paperwork into the bag stating that it was clarity enhanced and rated by EGL (which is not a reputable grading company). Stay away from these guys!

Nervously and secretly I did my diamond research, found out her size, and narrowed down the styles she liked (she had no clue). I bought my train ticket and headed straight to The Diamond District in NYC. I walked all the way to the DD to calm my nerves and gather my thoughts. I stopped by a nice Irish pub for a burger and a few beers to help. Suddenly, while walking to a shop I was referred to from a close friend, I literally bumped right into the owner of my barber shop in Long Island *(Shout out to Romans Barber Shop). I told him I was ring shopping and he instantly took me to meet Richie at Leon Diamond. Long story short and three shots of vodka later, I knew I found the perfect stone. Richie was a young man himself and had just recently gotten engaged. He explained to me everything I needed to know from laser enhancements to insurance appraisals. I thought I did my homework on the 4 Cs, but it turns out that there was a lot I didn’t know at all. I made sure to check out a couple other stores on the block because it was my first time ring shopping and I was still skeptical of salesmen. I experienced that most other salesmen didn’t want to mention laser enhancements until I brought it up. I just didn’t feel comfortable anywhere else other than Leon. Richie was very patient with me while helping me pick out the perfect stone and setting. Finally, it was complete. The ring was top quality and the price was worked out reasonably. I made my purchase a day later, popped the question, and everything worked out beautify. My fiancé gets nonstop compliments and the two of us are very happy.
