Service is fantastic! The gentleman who was helping me is the best! John, Thank you π youβre professionalβΊοΈYou made my morning so special!I got 2 samples of a chocolate & raspberry jaw. For my order l picked a mango jar cheesecake and a chamomile tea.As Iβm not eating too much dairy on regular basis this desert was too heavy for meβ¦ I couldnβt finish it.I payed $32 total: $22 for a desert & $7,52 for my tea.My friend LOVES this place βοΈ if youβre looking for a nice small cozy spot in NYC, homey atmosphere and unique deserts come here!Thank you π
They have a great selection of desserts. A little too sweet for my personal liking. If you are someone who likes desserts a bit less on the sweet side (ironical I know) then you wont fall in love here. The main dessert portions are also small as compared to what they look in pictures if you are ordering in.I highly recommend the tea if you are dining in. The tea pots are gorgeous and they serve you enough for many refills. Definitely enhanced out dessert experience. The place is cute if you are eating in and the packing is cute too if you order to go/get it delivered.
Both βLe Mielβ π― and the chocolate eclair are exceptional. My taste buds were taken to a whole new world... When I told the staff that the amazing dessert makes me so happy after a rough week, he packed two more pieces and handed them to me, βLet me make you happier.β β€οΈ Some people are just sweet and kind to others... and you know they are real.
The chocolate explosion that I got was tasty and the free sample that they gave me was delicious too.Im not sure why theres no menu posted with full descriptions of all of the desserts. I wanted more of a gooey & rich chocolate dessert and the explosion was not that. The night I went, I had to discuss the dessert with the people behind the counter to find out more about each item. The ones in jars did not have description cards.I might go back to try something else.
The desserts here are pricey but this would be your worth it splurge. The chocolate eclair is so light, whipped, forthy chocolate. You want to eat this slowly to savor it. The same thing with the strawberry croissant. It is a heavenly whipped cream with strawberries. Soon to come is champagne and liquor once they get their liquor license. You can eat inside with iced tea, hot tea, and coffee. The music was a cool French hip hop. It was empty when my friends and I entered but it started to fill up quick. I would like to return just when the weather is cooler.
Very creative menu. Great flavors and attention to detail. Lovely ambience. Its a pricy menu so if youre cheap or dont understand the effort that goes into making these pastries, this place isnt right for you.The truffle madeleines are divine! I dont think I can ever eat madeleines anywhere else again. The honey tart is incredible.
Freshly made pastries here, very busy but friendly staff. The desserts are quite delicious, but they are pretty pricey so be prepared to spend more than $15 there. We had the 3 mini tarts, so good and not overly sweet. Fruit was fresh. Also had a wide selection of flavored teas that smelled amazing. Would definitely come back here.
Amazing shop with great desserts and teas. Waiting to pick up my chocolate brioche.David and his team were great and offered us some samples since it was our first time there. Will definitely be coming back here as often as I can.
My mom and I stumbled upon Sweet Rehab after dinner at Blue ribbon and it exceeded our expectations. We ordered a fig dessert to go and it was so delicious. We brought it back to our hotel and enjoyed it with wine. Highly recommend.
It was cool seeing them make some of the desserts behind the display counter, but I wish the prices were displayed by the desserts. It was also on the pricier end, but I suppose that should be expected for fancier desserts. I would go back if they offered cheaper options or if I had a special occasion to treat myself. The dessert (le miel) itself tasted great.
Definitely a popping place in soho, NYC. I wanted to visit this place so bad when I was planning to visit to New York. Iβm a visitor from Texas and I finally made it to visit this bakery shop in Soho. When you first walk in, the smell of bakery will welcome your nose and the beauty of decoration will welcome your eyes. Itβs one of the famous restaurants with famous bakery chief. It made sense and the staff was nice enough to provide the samples of vanilla cream. It was very tasty. I think it was the best marketing for them because I couldnβt just walk away since I tasted already. The price was definitely pricey of small portion. Thatβs probably the only reason. Overall, nice decoration of hotel dining level.
Today I was for the first time in this place and I would say that I finally found something really delicious in NYC. The price worth it!!!Iβm finally enjoyed the taste of the the deserts, not just sugar like usually. Itβs remind me some European places with a high quality of taste!πPiece of France in NYC.
The cookie bunch is very different from the picture. It looks like you get 4 pcs of the cookies shown. What I got was 2 cookies elaborately decorated and the rest was in a doggie bag. I asked why does the picture have 4 decorated cookies. Just got a shrug. When I entered 90% of the clientele look like that ethnic group of instagrammers and not food aficionados. The lady making the confections was a mess... dropping pastry bags and being sloppy all over. You can see the mess because its an open kitchen. What I got was basically a cookie slathered with buttercream (?) Hardly the pinnacle of French haute cuisine. Id rather have a bag of Pepperidge farms or Cadbury cookies and save myself the disappointment.
I went to this amazing French bakeryπ«π· in Soho, called Sweet Rehab π everything was so fresh and delicious. They make everything in front of you.I was completely impressed with the excellent quality and customer service. This place is a bit pricey but itβs worth it. Every pastry is a work of art.Raise your hand ππΌββοΈ if you love pastriesπ€€ whatβs not to love right?π They are closed on Mondays and they just updated their hours from 10am until midnight.
This is probably the closest thing to a French patisserie in nyc that I have been to. Itβs absolutely delicious and so beautiful. Everything is truly made fresh here and the service is wonderful. You pay for the high quality and beauty of the desserts. You can tell it was made with a lot of love and passion β₯οΈβ₯οΈπ«π·π«π·π«π·
This is a cute place and allβ¦ but when people come to pick up deliveries and you make them wait 20-30 minutes youβre taking money out of their pocketsβ¦ and food out of their kids mouths. Not cool, if you canβt keep up with your orders hire more people!
Mark was awesome, his customer service skills and his genuine kindness to every customer that walked through the door was like something Ive never seen before and Ive worked in restaurants and hospitality 10+ years. Unfortunately the sweets served day of were very disappointing. He tells me perhaps it was a bad batch of raw honey, the honey was not sweet, almost tasted alcoholic with a strong bitter taste, I was also served an incomplete dessert and when I asked why it was even brought to the table they told me they didnt have the time to complete the dish. I waited 30 mins since ordering for 2 pastries. Photos attached will show. Place has great potential Unfortunately my experience wasnt upto par.
Some desserts are good, some too sweet, some more beautiful to look at. Also dont bother ordering online. Ordered two times, never arrived and their phone number goes to voicemail straight away
John who served really have me an experience. He guided me through each pastry offered, even letting me know about the french ingredients. They were out of Brioche loaf and I decided to wait on the almond puff pastry-- both looked divine! I decide on The Mariage - Christmas Tea and the almond/berry mini loaf! Simply delicious and well made. I would highly recommend!
One of my favorite place in NYC. A must for all people travelling to the city. Nice exquisite food
Sweet Rehab is making a statement in New York: we can now eat great pastry in New York City! The place is also wonderful.
Best desserts in New York. My wife and I are food lovers with serious sweet tooth. We guarantee this place will blow your mind. So good!Options are limited which is great for us because itβs almost impossible to choose between all amazing options. every time we go though, they change a few menu items up so you can always try something new.
I was looking for a sit-down dessert place and stumbled on this cute French bakery thats about an 8 minute walk south of Washington Square Park. They have indoor dining as well as an outdoor seating area thats beautifully accented with flowers. Unfortunately, when I got there, all the tables were full so I had to grab everything to go. The place is small but its decorated nicely with the pastries and products on display as soon as you walk in. I bought their Dulce de Leche jar, Mango Cheesecake jar, Le Miel, and an iced tea and paid a little over $60 for everything which is pricey. The pastry chef also gave me a free madeleine and a free cookies since I couldnt do sit down! I waited an extra 15 minutes since they make the jars to order. I wasnt a fan of the Le Miel only because they put something on top that makes it bitter and I cant tolerate bitterness. The jars however were out of this world. I loved both flavors with Mango Cheesecake being my favorite of the two. The iced tea was not as sweet and rather fragrant which was actually refreshing considering how hot it was that day. And the cookie and madeleine were good but not anything special. I would come back here to try their other products since they also make cookies, eclairs, mille-feuille, and various fruit tarts.
Absolutely gorgeous desserts and tasty food. Their madeleines were very good, but the honey was even better (possibly due to a bee being their theme?) It tasted similar to clover honey but even lighter with a subtle sweetness that wasnt too much like some honey can be. The packaging was adorable, and the workers were very patient and polite, and even complimented me on a bag I brought in. They are delicate with their work and make each creation by order with careful touch, placing each piece perfectly to make beautiful creations. I highly recommend this place!
Wow wow wow. I ran into this place unexpectedly and the displays of the pastries caught my attention. Each bite I took felt like my new favorite song, it started with a crunch, then soft delicate cream came through, different flavors started to appear and it blended so well one after another that it melted in my mouth. It was sweet but not like a cupcake, it was sweet like love.
Love love the Madeleineβs and teaβs. A must go cafe if you are in the area. Great coustomer service John was amazing always suggests whats best.
Great place, very unique and delicious desserts. 4 stars though because their cookies are terrible (way way too sweet, such that you can see the sugar crystals), Chips aβhoy are honestly more enjoyable.
Overall great β¦ love there green tea always go when I am in the area.
Had the amazing pleasure to eat here. Their desserts are not just beautiful but carefully crafted, theyβre delicious. Had the addiction strawberry tart and was surreal, it was creamy, sweet (not too much, just how it should), fresh and crunchy it was everything at the same time. Going back for sure
I kinda prepared before visiting since a lot of comments mentioned how about pricy it is. The desserts were good, crispy Mille Feuille with rich vanilla flavor, and the Le Miel with balanced honey taste. And yes, they were really pricy. I would give 4 overall. Although I can tell they are trying to provide the high-class sweets, I believe it couldβve been a little bit cheaper.Last, the reason came to 3 eventually. I bought the Le Miel literally because of the tart base but it was different after I opened the box which they changed into a thin biscuit at the bottom. I was disappointed cause they didnβt mentioned the change. The store should be more professional with this price!
Absolutely nothing negative to be said about this place. The freshly made desserts are mouth watering and when paired with the refreshing teas, it makes you never want to leave. The woman behind the counter (Anne) was so lovely and was attentive when it came to my nut allergy. The owner, David, is thoughtful and ensures everyone gets personalized attention. When told it was my first time eating at this establishment, she offered multiple tips and samples to help me decide what I might want to order. Great place to go if you are having a date night, out with friends, or just craving something sweet.
Sweet Rehab is definitely one of the most popular & trendiest dessert spots currently in NYC since itβs run by famous Chef David Zaquine. The decor is elegant & brilliant with delicate desserts & pastries. The manager was super friendly and attentive to introduce all the options they served. They also gave us a sample with their signature mascarpone cheese & fruits. We had a hard time making up our decisions since all the desserts are beautiful like art. We ended up buying 2 small tarts, Yuzu and Le Miel, a fig jar and a couple of cookies. Our favorite was the Le Miel tart, which means honey in French, it was not too sweet with great balance of crust and mousse. However, itβs luxurious with higher price points and smaller portion. Itβs worth a try & visit on special occasions, not perfect for an afternoon with friends.
THE DESSERTS WERE FANTASTIC!!!!! If thereβs a Michelin star for bakeries, this place would get one. David, the owner, was incredible (and cute)!! ;) The kindest, warmest, most humble guy - and he even put up with my demanding mother. We came in after it closed and he welcomed us with open arms and even treated us to various must-try pastries. I never write reviews and I felt so compelled to because of my experience. If youβre lucky enough to try this place, run!! - donβt walk!
This pastry shop is the best new thing in SoHo. They have the most beautiful hand crafted desserts! They have 2 pastry chefs who are French and they make the desserts as you order them. Its a little on the higher end of the price spectrum, but totally worth checking out. Everything is absolutely beautiful inside, from the desserts to the decor.Great place to bring a date for dessert or date with your friends.IG-traveleen_gurl
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP JOHN. EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS
Sophisticated desserts and great teas. been here twice and will come many more times.the price range is a bit high, but the taste is so good, worth every penny
Their millefeuille cakes (??) are crazy good!!!!!!! And they stay crispy and crunchy after a day which is so rare w other spots. Highly recommend the chocolate one! The cakes were beautiful when made. Donβt mind the pics it was a really hot day to bring them home. Still worth it tho
They surely make you wait. Firstly we are the 2nd guest in line and they indulge the couple in front of us for 10mins before someone takes our order. Then we finally sit down outside for another 10mins and still waiting for our tea. I mean, how hard is it to serve customers when thereβs no other customers in the shop?
Loved the Le Miel and Rasberry Tart ππΌππΌππΌ
The French pastry chef working there was so welcoming and passionate about his craft. He even gave me a sample of a cookie with the house made strawberry jam. I was blown away by the customer experience. Although their pastries are expensive (mousse was $24, itβs truly a work of art. They use the finest ingredients and definitely worth a try. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake mousse and itβs divine. So rich and I savor the taste with every bite.
Overpriced to the max for mediocre taste. I went there because I saw many good reviews and the pictures looks goods but then was disappointed for paying so much for dessert that taste like from Whole Foods which probably would be better. I read those reviewers afterwards and I think they just pay them to write such good reviews cause thereβs nothing at this dessert place at all. Will not recommend. Go to Laduree or Dominique Ansel instead!
Iβm definitely coming back here!Every pastry is a work of art and you can see how much passion is put in every creation. The entire experience is unbelievable, from being able to see the pastries created before your eyes, to the amazing customer service, and of course the heavenly taste of the creations.
Dessert is my favorite part of the meal. I always reserve a little space in my stomach so I can enjoy something sweet, delicious and decadent. I found this cute little pastry shop last year while wandering around Sullivan Street. I tried a few of their tarts and eclairs and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the flavors and textures that pastry chef combined together. I was planning on bringing some friends to enjoy to this shop when the pandemic hit. I was so happy last weekend when I passed by the shop again after dinner and it was still open and BUSY.
Perfectly positioned in SOHO to be an absolute tourist trap. With no prices shown, I paid $45 for what is essentially a large croissant (take out) and then shamed into paying AFTER my card was swiped by being asked βis this a problem?β.My only advice.. ask the price of what youβre buying before you order! Prices are insane! On the plus side, croissant loaf was good.
The employees were as friendly & nice as it could only be. Iβve been recommended by the staff to get Vanilla + pistachio+ amazingly fresh strawberries & raspberries dessert (forgot the name) and itβs probably the best dessert Iβve had in my life (and Iβve tried A LOT). The raspberries and strawberries tested just like from my grandmotherβs garden back in Europe and dessert reminded me the smell of wild berries in the forest. Expensive but(!) definitely worth trying. Overall an amazing experience. Canβt wait to be back!
You get what you pay for and its delicious. Extra expensive, extra tasty. Take you person for a treat, they will love it.
Very nice tarts and eclairs, great presentation w an equally shocking price to match. $15 for a small raspberry tart. I didnβt even pay that much at the best French patisserie in Paris. something is wrong w the pricing.
Went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary for dessert we got the cookie, an eclair, and the most famous dessert. The eclair was a no. My boyfriend enjoyed the cookie but it was TOOOO sweet for me. The dessert I got βThe Honeyβ was super good but not worth $15 the crust was delicious and the inside was super light and not overly sweet. Not sure if we would go back.
Not a conventional place! You choose your dessert and they take the time to complete them (such as cutting up the cherries and arranging them). This gives everything a fresh flavor, and as if the dessert was made just for you (which it essentially was). The pastry chef finished the desserts in front of us.A little pricey but highly recommend! The interior is beautiful and thereβs a great seating area (for once indoor dining is allowed again).
The desserts were perfect, they werent too sweet which is often the case - they were delicious and unique. The guy who served us was great and friendly, he explained us about each dessert passionately and was really kind. This place is pricey, but it was a great experience which is definitely worth it, looking forward to get back to this place for more!
Hands down one of the best dessert shops around! The flavors are truly exquisite and you can tell that a lot of thought was put into the combinations and infusions. The staff is very friendly and will guide you in your selections. Definitely a high end experience. Must try Le Miel and the Lemon Yuzu Tart!!
Omg I really dont know how to describe this place.its such a cozy and welcoming place with delicious deserts. Best desserts ever .love it
I would love to give this spot a 4.5 stars as it was a great dessert house and the service was solid. The desserts were tremendously beautiful but a tad sweet for my taste buds which is why I would dock the half star. The ambiance was a perfect marriage of French meets Soho and the proprietor was very generous with after purchase gifts and keeping customers informed and entertained.
I would not go back. Girlfriend and I had 2 desserts with a pot of tea and the bill was $70. Make sure you bring plenty of cash if you stop at this shop.
I love you guys and everythingβ¦But please serve us smaller plates
Beyond delicious pastries I have never had anything so delicious. The staff was SO friendly and kind, I loved being here! And the smells of the bakery are crazy buttery and sugary goodness. Canβt wait to be back
Youβd only understand why this is worth splurging after you actually try it. jars are definitely must-try cuz the portion is much larger. Go eat some real cheap food first and spend the actual money here π
A bit on the very pricey side but what do you expect for excellent quality.
So.... was the Mille Feuille divine? Yes. Layers of fresh custard with chunks of honeycomb (and was that a pistachio paste?) with a butter crust that melted on contact. Perfection. Was it worth $45 for three people to share? Pricey, but itβs about an 8β long pastry and 2β high so Iβm going to say yes to that, too. What wasnβt right was being told to wait outside at a table and that it would be brought right out. After 40-min we were wondering where our dessert was and they said everything was being made fresh and there were still two ahead of ours. In reading the customer service reviews, I see weβre not alone in the opinion that theyβre not really high on valuing their customer. Seriously, just say βthis is going to take an hour,β not βgo sit outside, weβll get to you when we get to you.β
We love all the tarts here. The shell is so crispy and buttery. The fruit tarts were our favourite. They are on the pricey side. We bought a few back to Boston for some friends!
Great pastries! highly recommend for gathering with friends or date!
Still thinking about this place. Everything we got was super unique and delicious!!! David the owner was incredible!!!! Beyond nice and the desserts were pretty life changing. 10/10 recommend
Cute spot, very appetizing looking desserts, great service from the nice people who work here. Loved the coffee too. Only reason rated 2 stars since its crazy expensive. Im still wondering why the mille feuille is $15+I know its not a regular bakery but hey your prices are very high. Paid $60+ for 4 coffees & 4 pieces of dessert. Also theres no price list on the menu, there should be more transparency.
The best pastries and energy.
Amazing little place we just happened to stumble across. The pastries and sweets alone are incredible but the staff takes this place to the next level. They were super inviting when we came in, gave us a bunch of little samples and recommendations and were just genuinely friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. As we were paying one of the staff gave us a few extra treats for the road. Pricy, but the atmosphere and the deliciousness are worth it.
Amazingly light and delicious but pricy.Stopped by for dessert after dinner on a Friday night. The place was crowded and the staff seemed confused at times. We still ordered, got a table, and got our dishes quickly. Each dish was about $10~$15 and on the smaller side. But they tasted fantastic.
Divine mouthwatering desserts that make you go βaahhh mmmmmhhhβ uncontrollably! Chef David Zaquine and his team are magicians, every single thing on their menu is mind blowing. Besides, the design is so cute and tasteful; the staff is extremely friendly and nice. And the name is genius, Iβm a sweet addict and can so much relate to the Sweet Rehab lol. Everything is perfect about this place. My new favorite spot, canβt stop recommending it to everyone I know. Top notch! Round of applaud to the Sweet Rehab team!
A hidden gem π―πWent in with some friends close to midnight and had the best experience! Every dessertβs made just perfect, so you canβt go wrong. The staff was so welcoming, everyone say hi to David!
Ngl came here bcz i was waiting for rakubut desserts were yum!would go again if waiting for raku again but prob not otherwise
Desserts were delicious! Great combinations that brought together the flavors beautifully. The yuzu tart was super refreshing and the miel tart was a nice sweet flavor with a crisp orange zest added.Everyone was nice and helpful also. The only thing that was dissapointing was that the front cashier lady kept telling me to give her a minute and shed be right with me while all the while helping other customers while Im standing right there in front of her behind the counter. If it wasnt for my friend having already ordered food, this alone would have been enough for me to leave and get dessert somewhere else.
This was such a great experience today! I unexpectedly came across this bakery and was completely impressed with the exceptional quality and customer service. We got an eclair, a cheesecake jar with raspberries and pistachios (not too sweet and just perfect!) and chocolate chip cookies (made with coconut sugar) and they were some of the best I have ever had. This place is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for and it was well worth it. Everything you order is made in front of you, fresh. Great music too! I canβt wait to go back and highly recommend it.
Sweet rehab is a little gem in the middle of Soho. Everything from the ingredients and sophistication of the desserts to the warm customer service and stunning interior are beyond. If budget is an issue you should know ahead of time the sweet treats are not inexpensive, but they are profound and worth every delicious gourmet bite! Your taste buds will thank you! Support this special little bakery and in return you will feel like you experienced the best of Paris (sans jet lag).
