Their cakes are great but the staff have developed an arrogant attitude towards customers. Especially the guy who has an European Accent thought that he owns the shop. I went there to pick up a cake and I forgot to bring the order number. He gave me a hard time that he needs to look up the name of the order. Here is what he said “ Next time you SHOULD bring the order number” this is how they now tell customers what to do.
We tried salted caramel today. It’s great. I like their tea and coffee. Very fresh and it has great aroma. The staff are very well trained but I always feel not pleasant. Maybe because they make customers wait outside. They talk without courtesy. I see the reason but I think it’s a bit rude. They can give up a couple of tables and make a space inside. I don’t know. And be aware, it costs $3.50 for a cup of hot water... I think they are going to charge for a cup of water as well. Also it includes 18% automated gratuity.I usually tip 20% so I am not offended but I see it as lack of appreciation toward the customers.
Lady m always carry amazing cakes, but this location always lacks customer service whenever Im here.
Usually very tasty, but today’s strawberry shortcake felt tasteless. It felt watery. Very disappointed.
I dont have much of a sweet tooth, but these toothsome cakes are absolutely irresistible. These cakes are so light and fluffy I feel like I could eat them all day. Its probably a good thing I dont live in New York.My favorite is the Signature Mille Crepe Cake. You cant really go wrong with that. They had a pop up in the Bay Area so for my roommates birthday I got him the Green Tea one, which was also delicious. They are pricey though, so I would only get them for special occasions. But in my opinion, they are well worth the price!
Wow~ wow~ wow~That is pretty much the only word that I can say after taste their cakes. The cakes guaranty to have at least 20 layers. I thought it would be hard and difficult to cut the cake. No...the cake is so soft and so good. Again, when you get a soft cake, you are thinking a water & wet button of the cakes. No... the cake is perfect under beneath. Not dry and still moisturized.Prefect cake. We have what they recommend, the green tea and the strawberry signature. Additionally, we get a green tea check cake as a seasonal item.
I always love the cake in Lady M. It’s very delicious and delicate. It’s nice spending an hour in the afternoon just to sit here and enjoy the food and the moment. The ladies are very friendly. Only the price isn’t too cheap, a cake and a drink cost me 20 dollars(include tax and tips). Still a good place to go if you like to have some nice deserts.
The cake is good as always but man, the lady working the counter needs a serious attitude adjustment... she talks to me with an attitude as if she has a problem being there.... if you dont like what you are doing, go find another career path. I just spent over $100 on cakes so the least yu can do is pretend to be nice when i gave you no trouble at all.
Only get crepe cakes. You must try this in all its glory! The layers are paper thin with the perfect subtle cream in between each carefully crafted layer. Take a second to enjoy cutting into the 20-odd crepe layers, it’s music in motion. And yea it’s $9 per slice... but 9 bucks is worth every bite of this. Just think of the complexity of building this baby, it’s worth it!
The first time we walked past a Lady M, we saw the line up and thought, oh, too sweet. But on Aug 27th, after we visited The Met on a 31° summer day, we were desperate, and there wasn’t many outlets in the area. Fortunately, there wasn’t a line up. Choosing was more difficult. I chose the Berry Short Cake and then changed my mind to the Strawberry Short Cake. They messed up the order and gave me Berry Short Cake which was a good thing. On a different date, I selected the strawberry short cake thinking that it was what I had – I found the whipping cream too much, the fatty feel on my throat caused some uncomfortable afterwards. The berry short cake was nice and light, with strong berry flavour. The filling was berry based so that the whipping cream was hardly noticeable. The most enjoyable part in this place was the crowd control. Whether eat in or take out, you can’t just walk in, you must wait to be served. I also like the 18% auto gratuity – it takes the decision away. Despite the fact that the space was narrow and tiny, the clean design and hushed environment provided a restful time. The cloth napkins was a nice touch and consistent with the branding. The servers are mostly polite and courteous despite the fact that they forgot the honey for my latte and got the order wrong which is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 star rating.
Great sweets! Have had various sweets from various locations, but just got a cake from this location. The staff was courteous and the cake is delicious. I wish they were able to make an inscription on demand (especially when there is absolutely no line with lots of staff!) instead of only offering it with an order at least 2 days before!
The Mille crepe cakes are spectacular but I will never patronize again after two terrible customer service experiences. Last year, at the height of the pandemic, there was construction outside of the shop and I awkwardly double parked while I ran inside to pick up a cake. I quickly gave them my name and asked if they could bring the cake out to my car, since I was almost blocking the street. They refused. I was shocked. McDonalds and many other establishments were offering curbside service at that time but not Lady M. Yesterday, I planned ahead and parked 2 blocks away at a meter on Madison. Half way to the shop, I realized I wasnt wearing a mask. I wasnt troubled, since I am vaccinated and NYC mask rules do not currently require them on the street or at restaurants, when socially distanced. Unfortunately, although I was the only one in the shop, I was told, no mask, no cake. Granted, Lady M has the right to make their own rules and enforce them, but any reasonable response would have been to hand me my cake (pre-paid) and send me on my way. I happen to be a physician, and was wearing my ID, but I think rule enforcement is more important to Lady M than compassion for front line workers. Instead, I walked back to my car in 95F heat (since Lady M also could not offer me a mask as many establishments do) and returned, masked to pick up my item. I dont blame the staff at the register for their actions, as they have obviously been drilled by management that there should be NO EXCEPTIONS!. My conclusion is that Lady M is overpriced (though the cakes command $95) and worse, too snooty and rigid to realize what customer service should be. I told my family that was the last birthday cake we would buy from Lady M.
Their green tea cake is amazing and definitely worth the money! My sister brought one over for my birthday and I was hooked. Its not too sweet and has a perfect matcha taste. I highly recommend!Since then, we had to try the rest of their offerings. In the E.78th Street store, you can choose to dine in or take out. The staff is always friendly and helpful with recommendations. We tried the Mont Blanc (chestnut puree with cream) and of course had a slice of the green tea mille crepe cake!Everything was delicious and not overly sweet.
You can NEVER go wrong with a Lady M cake boutique!! This location is removed from the Midtown Manhattan madness; wonderfully nestled on the Upper East Side. The cakes of course are absolutely PHENOMENAL (that’s Lady M) and their staff is friendly and attentive. The boutique is small and intimate but to me that just adds to the overall charm. Also it is very handy with its own restroom for guests.
Take a second to enjoy cutting into the 20-odd crepe layers!
I used to be a regular customer . great food but noisy environment.
Three years ago I visited this place and last week when I visited NY again I could not skip this. It was a great start for me in the morning to have a slice of sweet with just-the-right level of sweetness before going to The MET. The shop is small but you wont need it bigger for the perfection it already holds.
5 stars for the cakes unbelievable love them. But calling them I want to 0 star them. Called the number on the 78str that google provided. 17 min no one picked up. Gave up. Called again later 7 mins same no answer.

As always these cakes are insanely delicious. My fave are the classic and the green tea. Although they are pricey, you are getting an amazingly delicious piece of cake. The attendants were very courteous and helpful.
It is situated in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood very close to the MET museum. In my opinion its a lot nicer than that at Bryant Park. Here you could sit down, have a cup of tea and enjoy their crepe, slowly.
Such a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing cake boutique. It’s a must visit and definitely must try! The cake seems simple yet complicated but very very elegant. Every bite is light but also not too creamy. Everything looks so good! It doesn’t hurt to try a new flavor every time. One of my favorite things to do was buy a cake and go sit at the park and people watch. This is one of many things I miss before New York got into a lockdown. Now I’m craving Lady M....
Absolutely amazing pastries. All are delicious. But the crepe cream cake is their speciality, and will buckle your knees it’s so good.
Hands-down my favorite place for crepe cakes. Every flavor I tried was good if not great. Cant go wrong with their Matcha. Liked the Pistachio too. Passion fruit was refreshing. Coconut was nice. Tiramisu and the original were decent.
This place has delicious cakes that are not very heavy and too creamy. They have delicate flavours, tender texture and feel pretty light. I like that they have crepes for layers. A lot of tastes are unique, I recommend trying matcha cake, it is my favourite - perfect balance of flavours. Also, the pricing is reasonable for the quality.
The most wonderful crepe cakes you will ever taste! You cannot go wrong with anything here and there is always a wait to get into the boutiques. It is worth the wait. Find what flavors you like and then choose your cake. I have had the green tea which actually I didnt love but I think the matcha was a bit too strong for me personally. The basic crepe cake is to die for and its so light and fluffy, no problem eating the whole piece yourself. Be sure to check them out when in NYC!
I went to the Lady M boutique for lunch with my friends. It was my first time going there and sitting down. I’ve heard good things about the cafe, however have been let down greatly. We sat down with 50 minutes to spare, knowing it will not take that long. We ordered 3 salads, for $15 each. When our food came, we were given 1 sandwich and 2 salads (which were really just small plates of plain lettuce). When the bill came out it should have been $64 (we had ordered coffees and cakes as well), but the bill said $90. They charged us for 3 salads (when they gave us 2 salads and 1 sandwich). We had them change the bill, and the second time, it was wrong again. This time, they charged us for 2 sandwiches and one salad. When the bill came back the THIRD time, it was correct. But don’t get your hope up, because THIS time, two of us paid 45 dollars in cash and asked the rest to be divided between two credit cards. They were unable to do very easy and basic math, and we spent 10 minutes explaining how 36 divided by 2 is not 27. This whole process took 49 minutes and we ran back to work with one minute left. Absolutely ridiculous - first and last time going there!!!!
Nice place. Very nice.
The crepes are although pricy, but yummy and delicious. However the sizes of crepes got smaller compared to ones I had two years ago!Tiramisu is definitely a must!
Online order, after one hour pick up, they said also need take the line to order, i think what the hell, then why online order
It would be nearly impossible to find any similar place. A truly tiny temple practicing cake worship . Just east of Madison on 78st. Even if you visit once in a lifetime, the visual and olfactory memories will be permanently fixed. I am not exaggerating at all. It deserves ten stars.
Owing to quarantine only 1 person in the store at a time. Makes you feel like you have the store to yourself. Citrus slice and coconut slice were phenomenal.
Best strawberry cake in all of NYC! It was so amazing and tasty. A must try. Ordering online is super easy and the cake is ready all day waiting for the day you select for pick up. Great great cake.
I dont know that am i look poor? I order for dine in green tea crape cake and ice latte. When i call for check. I got charged for gratuity. But i come only one person. And they charge me 18%. Did employee know they cant charge one customer 18% for tips. Im not sure it illegal or not. But gratuity 18% that too much. U do your product luxury dessert. And a highend boutique dine in. But plz this is so rude. Tips is important for server i know. I used to work in restaurant before. But as i say 18% gratuity for ine customer. U ruin your image of your brand.
Great service and delicious cakes. Highly recommend the Passion Fruit flavor.
Omg I got the crepe cake, it is absolutely out of this world delicious 😋 the perfect sweetness without being overly sweet, just right. I must warn you though, once you taste it you can’t stop!
Hidden gem, this place has the best selections of cakes that will have you wanting thirds!! Only issue is they run out of their best sellers pretty early. They are also very pricey for their sizes. I also wish they would also stay open a little bit later. Other than that their food, staff and environment are up to standards.
Favourite dessert place. Every piece is so delicate, from color, pattern to taste, texture and moist level. Every bite melt in your mouth. Just right amount of sweet. Its a bit pricy but totally worth it. You can also order a birthday cake delivered or pick up to impressed your loved ones. Good luck looking for parking. Take public transportation.
Every time I go to New York, I have to find time to visit Lady Ms cake boutique. Its a must when visiting New York, they make the creamiest and most indulgent crepe cake i think on the east coast. A crepe cake is exactly as it sounds, layers of delicate crepes stacked on top of amazing cream until it reaches the height of a traditional cake. When walking into the store, you are transported into a classy high tea like place. The cakes are stored in an open refrigerator apparatus that keeps them nice and cold and the people behind the counter are super hygienic with food safety gloves and aprons on. It is always a delightful experience ordering from them and looking at all the different cakes they make in house. The next time i go back, Im going to try their passion fruit crepe cake, my best friends mom raved about them from her last time in New York! I cant wait to go back to New York!
Grabbed a small green tea cake here for my sisters birthday for $55. Great service. Price is always on the steeper side, but thats to be expected. Everyone loved the cake. Its light and pleasant. Not for the extreme sweet tooth type.
Lady M makes one of the most delicate and unique cakes ever. Created in many flavors, green tea being my favorite, 20 layers of crepe are placed on top of each other and fused together with creme between every layer. The green tea crepe cake is generously topped with green tea powder. The cakes come in 6 and 9 inch sizes at $45 and $80, respectively. When cutting the cake at home, the trick is to use a hot knife for each slice in order to get a clean cut through the crepe and creme layers. Similarly, each bite will melt in your mouth.
Location is perfect. The servers are friendly and attentive. The Salted Caramel Mille Cake was superb. Their green tea latte was really good too, which is my least favorite.
They make THE best crepe cakes period. Ive had the classic one, green tea, chocolate, and lemon ones... and theyre all to die for. Their other desserts are just as delicious.
This place used to be amazing. But have had it a few times in the last few months and I think the quality is changing. They put way too much cream now. The crepe cake used to be light. It feels way more heavy in the last few months. They need to lighten their fingers on layering the cream.
Bit over priced, and threadbare operations, but pretty tasty cakes.
The cake was very good! I got one of the matcha cakes and it wasn’t too sweet. However, the space was very small to the point that it is difficult to walk in and out. Also, the servers seemed to be confused about who exactly was serving us and two servers came by. They were all really nice but there seemed to be a lack of communication between them.
