Amazing!!! And the waffle tastes even better, just like heavenly taste, so delicious also try the rose one and dont take any syrups the syrups tastes so bad, honestly just avoid extra topping even if its your favorite, it doesnt go well with the taste of ice cream and the waffle also saves you some money since each topping costs extra.
Found myself downtown and decided to stop in.. I LOVE this place, I ordered the fruity pebbles waffle cone with cherry blossom Ice cream with munchi on it .. It was excellent kinda messy but oh so worth It!! Some seating inside while you wait and absolutely NO PARKING out front .. great price Point about $10 for what I ordered.
When we walked in it was empty, most likely because it was maybe 7pm. There wasnt too many options for ice cream flavors or toppings what could go wrong with the basics? I ordered a vanilla waffle cone with chocolate drizzle, pecans, and whipped cream. While it was a very beautiful presentation, the flavors of the ice cream was pretty basic. When I think of the taste of the soft serve ice cream it reminds me of the ice cream from Mr.Softee and I wasnt impressed. While good, its basic and mostly for IG photos.
Fun ice cream! Nice to take pictures to.No place to seat. So you will have to shoot your pics standing. Tastes good
Eggloo is an Instagram sensation that delivers Hong Kong style bubble waffles served with icecream and toppings. The creations are beautiful and photogenic but the treat itself left we wanting improvement. While the waffle itself is great the icecream could be higher quality for the cost. An ample selection of topping was available but again the execution lead to a mess when eating. A trip to Eggloo is tasty and fun Chinatown snack stop but prioritizes aesthetics over flavor.
My group and I really enjoyed their ice cream. The warm waffle cone really added to it. Four stars because there were no ice cream sandwiches as offered on the website and because the toppings weren’t free as I have heard they are in another locations. Lastly, the location is tiny and slightly uncomfortable.
Really tasty, satisfying dessert. The warm waffle and cold ice cream go great together. Came here after class and had an impromptu Instagram moment with our desserts!
Waffle cone with cookies and cream ice cream, Oreos, chocolate syrup, and almond bits. Talk about a great desert! The waffle is made fresh so it is warm and with the ice cream its fantastic. For 9 bucks its a really good and its filling. It take a few minutes to prepare since they cook the waffle to order but its completely worth it! I will definitely be coming again!
Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 3/5 But you can take it to-go outsideOverall: I would come back and I have come back many times! One of my to-go dessert spots! Their sundaes are so cute and I love the Chinese egg waffle twist on it. However, that is not the only part that makes Eggloo so good. The waffles themselves are great quality - slightly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside (and they are also available in different flavors!). Their ice cream is actually really great quality - I believe that they make it in house possibly, because they have some really unique flavors occasionally. Toppings are choose what you want. For the price it is reasonable - it is a huge portion. I have been here many times, and Eggloo never disappoints!! Highly recommend!Tip: Bring it outside across the street and eat in the park. You can watch the Chinese elders sing and do taichi LOL while you eat.
Ive been wanting to try this ice cream food trend for a while and it did not disappoint. It was a pretty busy when we walked in this cute small store. There was limited seating so expect to just eat out on the streets. Also finding parking is a nightmare. I was expecting the waffle part was going to end up being soggy but it was still crunchy while eating the ice cream. I couldnt finish one by myself so plan to split with a friend. The service was kinda slow and they even skipped over me. But will definitely go back again to try other flavors!
General impression: nothing special (sorry guys)Place of a kind: is not unique in NYC. So,need to be compared.Interior: poor. Few creaky old bar chairs to sit and short bar counter as well near the window.Staff: friendly and helpful, loved them.Food: waffles are really yum!!! Mine was green tea. Nothing special about ice cream, just regular (strawberry cheesecake). But big big plus for tiny mochi as a topping. Thats really cool. So,waffles and mochi made it! Recommend to try at least once. And I guess I will come back to try sundae.
There are many small hidden gems in chinatown, and Egloo is one of them. If you are in the mood for a warm egg waffle (regular, chocolate ...) and some good ice cream, this is the spot to come after you fill your belly with authentic chinese food. The lines tend to get long, and the space is tight, but totally worth a stop! Kids and adults go crazy with the toppings selection!
Came here on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm. The store was pretty empty! It is a rather small shop and doesnt have much room for seating (only a few by the window) which could be a problem during the winter time as you dont want to be eating outside! We only got an egg waffle in the original flavor. The egg waffle flavor was good but some of the bubbles on the edges were not fully formed which makes me think they didnt fill their waffle iron with enough batter. They toped the bubble waffle with powdered sugar which I have never seen before. I have pretty high standard for bubble waffles as I used to live in Hong Kong and these dont arent quite like it in both taste and texture. It was still decent and I would get one again and would love to try the whole experience with ice cream and toppings next time (maybe in the summer when its warmer out!)
Tasty egg waffle ice cream cones, but a little pricey. You can get also get the egg waffles by themselves which is a little cheaper. The egg waffle isnt as good as the ones you can get in Hong Kong - they are a little bit overcooked and not fluffy in the middle - but it is better than the ones you can get elsewhere in Chinatown and still very good. They have a good variety of ice cream and toppings including pocky, oreos, more, including a ton of different drizzles and other add-ons.Portions are very big. If you are planning to get ice cream I suggest coming very hungry or sharing with another person. This place is pretty tiny but it wasnt overly crowded the couple of times Ive been here. But your experience may vary, especially during the hotter months.
The almond topping wasnt very fresh, but the waffle and ice cream were very tasty. Get the mochi topping too! They are so chewy. If you want to save some money and dont mind doing some DIY, you could basically buy a similar waffle from a Chinese bakery nearby and then top it with a ice cream from the original Chinatown ice cream factory, LOL.
Overall nice place! The staff is friendly and helpful! The location is pretty small! They have a lot of varieties of Ice Cream, Bubble Tea and other sweet and delicious stuff! Everything is fresh and yummy!! One of the best things that you can have is the egg waffle its one of a kind!!
This is a smaller store than I expected. Theres only room for a few people to sit in the store. We went on a weekday evening in February and it was empty so we lucked out! The ice cream and waffle was well worth the trip. Delicious! I got strawberry ice cream with a coconut filled waffle topped with sprinkles and Oreo cookies with strawberry drizzle to share with my 6 year old. I should have got us each our own. It wasn’t small- but it was hard to share!
The most beautiful ice cream creation! And super delicious! I took my friend visiting from Germany here and we are both vegan. The waffle cone is just perfect! We stuffed it with non-dairy chocolate ice cream and she had Oreo cookies, slivered almonds and chocolate drizzle. They make it fresh to order and the two people serving us were just the sweetest. Really special establishment.
Interesting ice cream place. There are better ice cream/hot cake purveyors in the area but it is a fun place to hang out with friends and family and everything looks amazing when it comes out. Location next to the park as a huge plus as seating is limited. Recommend trying at least once, not sure if this would be a repeat hangout spot.
Ice-cream in a tasty waffle. Fast service, takn’ consideration they make the bubble waff on the go 🏎🔥
Great place, pretty chill vibes, employees are friendly, hospitality is very nice! Quality of dessert is very good too! Heavily recommend the chocolate egg waffle and ice cream! Something different in Chinatown. After you finish eating at a restaurant, come here for some refreshing dessert!
Perhaps now a classic with all the new desserts spots popping up, you can never go wrong with whatever creation you make. The waffles are made to order and the variation in flavors and toppings is expansive. The shop itself is small and has limited seating (as expected for the location) but staff move the line quickly. Quality desserts at a decent price!
Great place to get ice cream. I work nearby and was in the mood for some ice cream. So I happen to catch them on instagram and found out they were only a couple of blocks away. So the ice cream comes in this chinese hot cake patty, and theres only a few flavors you can choose from but the toppings are awesome. Pocky sticks, gummies, chocolate, sprinkles. etc Definately a great place to visit
The homemade caramel is what made it good. It was a bit smokey if that makes sense. I cant quite put my finger on the flavor, but it was really good. The almonds could have been natural for all I cared about, the caramel flavor was good enough. The crunch the almonds provided was perfect.
Super tasty! Mochi was delicious and the bubble waffles are made fresh. Employee was very kind and gave me a wet napkin when I inevitably got ice cream sticky hands. Was very warm inside, which we appreciated. It’s a small little place on the inside, so you may or may not be able to get a seat. You need to climb up stairs to enter the place as a FYI. They have vegan waffle, ice cream, and topping options available.
Small shop known for bubble waffles and ice cream located in Chinatown. We werent hungry, so we just stopped by to get a drink. They had ice cream floats made with ginger beer. I tried the Berry Summer, which had black raspberry ice cream, condensed milk, whipped cream, sprinkles, and ginger beer. It was super refreshing and it made for a great sweet treat on a summers day. Definitely would go back to get a waffle.
It’s so cool how this is made. It also taste very good. Even though i had to wait about 10 minutes for it to be ready, it was worth going and waiting. It is a pretty small area.
