I absolutely love Pearl River. I used to frequent their canal street shop so to come across this Chelsea Market spot was serendipitous! I loved Asian fashion and styles as a teen and young adult and seeing the store brought back so many memories. You can find cook books, gifts, novelties, dishes and more. If you’re in the nabe be sure to stop by!
A fun surprise within Chelsea Market, they have some really fun merchandise that would be only found if you went to Chinatown in NYC. We were thankful to have a location closer. Very fun and cute store, Id love to see some more pop culture items though!
Always a fan of asian food but this place made me feel disappointed. The place is located on the lower floor inside Chelsea Market. We ordered 5 dumplings (pork, beef, lamb toppings) for $10, got a original bulgogi bibimbap for $16, and Vietnamese coffee (which used American black coffee) with boba for $6. They do required vaccinations to sit inside. But I recommend to eat outside even you’re vaxxed. The tables are not clean at all!!!
I have been here many times. I like getting some Asian food items including snacks and refrigerated items. On the overall, its always a nice experience shopping here, at least for those items I discover here. Theyre rather well stocked and not looking like a typical Asian food or shopping store.
It’s a pleasant surprise to see Pearl River opened a branch inside the popular Chelsea market . I was sad when their old store in Chinatown was closed a few years ago. But I am disappointed to see few genuine, good quality products from China which I believe tourists are expecting here in Chelsea market! hope the new young owners of Pearl River can keep the legend alive!
Very cute collection of Asian products- from tea sets, shirts, books, jewelry, and more! I always stop here when I visit Chelsea Market
A spacious tourist souvenir store with a few interesting merchandise to entice local shoppers. Not all items are China theamed, but many items are made in China. There are quite selection of Hello Kitty merchandise and Japanese silk ties, cups and dishes, but not as cheap you expected at Pearl River Mart.
Staff was super kind, store has great merchandise and very cute items
The staff I met in the store is very disrespectful, maybe he is in a bad mood 😡
Such a cute store!
This is a smaller smaller store than their other location on Broadway. So they dont carry a whole lot of items. Which is understandable due to the size of the store. Still, it is fun to walk around and look. It does have a pop-up store feeling vibe. But overall, I would recommend this place to go to and since it is in the Chelsea market. Might as well stop by.
It has nam wah soup dumplings and many other products that can only get from Chinatown or flushing.
I dont really visit Chelsea Market often and never knew this place existed. I came here for a Lunar New Year event. While the store was very pack due to the event and having to wait in line for get some free dumplings, I was able to look at some of the things they sell. They sell lots of pretty cool, fun, and useful Asian novelty items. What impressed me more was the price. I actually thought the prices were reasonable. It surprised me actually. Its just a fun store in general to look around even if you want to spend money. I plan to go back and look around some more. I believe it is $10 minimum for credit card.
Cuuuute store. It’s a mini version of the one on china town.
Ignored me when i was in line and let like 5 people push in front? No thanks.
Friendly staff
