I buy all my point shoes there. always friendly and eager to help. a bit pricey but you get what you pay for!
We always go here and they always remember our names. They have enough stock and even some sale items. But they are the only actual Grishko showroom in NY-maybe the entire US. School discounts and they order. I havent had great turnaround with orders there, so if they dont have an item, we just tend to get something else in the meantime. They will call you eventually, when it comes in, but dont hold your breath. Just believe me when I say they will. They are very nice and they have pretty good fitters, too. They have a beautiful selection of leotards and tend to have at least one or two of everything in every size usually, or try to. Its a small store in the heart of the theater district. Squeezed between a couple of restaurants and other businesses on a short section of 50th Street between 8th and 9th on the second floor. No storefront-no vestibule, just a carved wooden door with a buzzer, but lots of goodies inside. Its a short walk from the C/E train.
They are amazing at pointe shoe fitting. We had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
