Very helpful and happy staff! Wide variety on ballet slippers (pointed) and performance shoes, and clothes, basically for women. I was able to find 2 training shoes for salsa dancing as you can see in the image. Both were fantastic shoes. Note, though, that the store is located on the 2nd floor. Dont expect to see but only a sign on the pavement and an arrow to the entrance on 51st, between Broadway and 7.

Absolutely the best possible service for dance support supplies and custom made order for ballet shoes. An was I also so happy that Ali family Muslim community was there helping me find where everything was in the city door to door service. Easy to locate and helping with all aspects of dance.

Capezio Flagship Store, 2nd Floor: This is the mecca of dance, and the store is staffed by enthusiastic dancers of different ages, genders, and ethnicities. It is a happy place, with attentive service to fittings, and frequent sales and freebies. American Ballet Theater, Joffrey Ballet, School of American Ballet, etc. receive a discount of 15% - 25%. Online returns to store are a bit of a hassle, but can be done. Customer information is stored online, for easy look up of past orders. Returns are effortless, within 30 days (and when presented with a receipt). American Express friendly!

The entrance was a little bit hard to find, but once you get up to the store which is on the second floor, its great. I dont have a lot of experience buying dance gear, but the staff was very helpful. It seems like there was a nice variety of clothes in all sizes. I was also surprised at how affordable things were here given where we were (midtown Manhattan) and how specialized a lot of ballet gear is.

Wow! Theyve got a great stock of ballet shoes... from narrow to wide + half sizes. Our associate, Crystal, was helpful and diligent in finding the perfect shoe for my daughters narrow feet.Their leotards and skirts came in all sorts of prints and colors. We also purchased a couple of pretty hair pins from near the register.

Staff was very helpful. A bit slow due to lots of beautiful little dancers needing assistance but great experience. Got a couple of discounts so that was a plus! Just need to keep two girls interested in dance long enough to validate my nearly $300 bill (2 jazz shoes, 2 modern shoes, 1 tap, 1 ballet, 8 tights and 2 gorgeous bags)

Bought some funky purple ballroom shoes for my dancing and the showroom is large! Saleswoman Marie and Kelsey at the register were amazing! Customer service was really good and the process was smooth. Prices were a little steep but the discount I received was a good one. Definitely worth the trip!💃💃

The selection of ballroom shoes is good, compared to Florida. The store is huge compared to the one on 72nd street. The saleswoman, Marie, was super helpful. The lady at the register Kelsey, gave me a generous discount after I inquired so I was even more pleased. Cant wait to break in my pretty purple ballroom shoes on the dance floor 💃💃

I had been here a couple times years ago, but I recently needed some performance attire. The space looked as good as ever, and their staff helped me with my requests. In one instance they didnt have what I wanted in stock, but made a call and found it at a sister store. They arranged to have it shipped. I was very impressed with their can-do attitude!

Very accommodating. I needed a shoe in an atypical color, and the associate did her level best to get it for me. When she was unable, she provided me with an alternative that, though it did not suit my timeline, would have gotten me what I wanted. Even if you dont get what you want here, the employees are sure to point you in the right direction.

My son and I had a fast and wonderful experience today getting shoes, pants, and shirt for his dance class at The Dock Street School. Capezio had everything we needed and the sales staff were very nice and helpful. The wonderful lady in the shoe department was very patient and fitted my son perfectly. My sons dance teacher highly recommended Capezio and I have to agree with her.

Great store! Wise variety of options! A big selection of items for kids, teens and young adults. But a small selection for adults. Still a very great store! The store is on the SECOND floor of an office building. Employees are very kind and helpful!

I went to this Capezios to get pair of ballet slippers with my daughter. After trying a few pairs on, the associate working in the fitting area told us to buy the shoes in a 5W. She said they were the best fitting, so we bought them. A few days later, my daughter went to dance class an the shoes kept slipping off. The instructor told us that the shoes we had bought were too big. I went back to the store and told them what happened, and they essentially just told me that it was unfortunate. They wouldnt return them, and took no responsibility for giving me the wrong size and they could not be returned because they had been used. Overall, not a great customer experience for me and my daughter.

This is where I go to buy dance clothes about once a month. This store is very well organized and well kept, well stocked and clean. They have everything you need. The service is not that good. It takes a long time to even find a worker, however once you do find one, they know exactly where to find what you need; although they are not so proficient, they are very helpful.

Seriously fabulous customer service - I was there trying dance shoes for almost an hour and Maria was so helpful & patient the whole time, as were folks at checkout. Everyone working there deserves big praise!

I have come to this store for 8 years now. I always find good stuff and sales. Last time I was in for pointe shoes fitting and the girl was really nice and understanding.Capezio is a very good brand and a little pricey but it’s worth it.What I like most of this store is that it has everything in a big space, as a dancer is just a nice place to visit. You get to touch, feel and try things you usually only see on the website or on very small stores.Definitely worth the trip to this store, plus it’s nearby Times Square so sure you’ll have plenty to do afterwards.

While the store was nicely stocked, the service was not what I expected. Called before going to the store for pointe shoe fitting and was told to just come in as they would see people in 30 minute intervals. When we got there the store was not busy, but we were asked to make appointment then. Arrived at 3 and the earliest slot was 4:30. Fine, left and returned at 4:15. Store was empty, staff just looked at us and went into back room, made us wait until 4:30 for fitting. Yes she was knowledgeable but very disappointed with the attention or lack there of.

On the 2nd floor right off of Broadway in Time Square. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Great for all dance wear. Clean facilities. No public Restroom. Nice staff. Credit cards accepted. We will definitely be going back.Thank you to the owner for responding. We look forward to patronizing your establishment again soon.ESJ

Excellent service, I bought my salsa dance shoes here and they even allowed me to practice in the shoes to ensure that the shoes not only fit me but also are comfortable to dance in. The shoes are still in good shape and usable.

Very disappointed. This is the flagship store of a well know and respected Dance retailer.There was one person there to fit shoes ( there was another fitter for pointe who was not involved in the rest of the shoe fitting).FYI : I went to get some tap shoes. I am a Dance professional and teacher, and grew up with Capezio. I was primed to enjoy my experience.The shoe staff person showed no interest in assisting anyone, brought the wrong shoes and sizes out, and was seemingly apathetic. I cannot attest to their knowledge because they scarcely spoke to anyone.It’s a shame that a respected brand is not training and paying their employees so they can provide a passable (decent would be good) experience.

Beautiful store, very pleasant workers. Had to get dance shoes for the first time for my child attending Broadway for All and I parked on 10th avenue and was rushing so I wouldnt get a ticket and the young lady that helped me was so on point and it made me feel so at ease. I still had a smile in my face as I rushed back to my car in 10th Ave. (no ticket😁) Staff like that help keep the calm.

This dance store has everything a dancer could want. The shoe selection is outstanding. Every tap, jazz, ballet, and pointe shoe in every size. The people who work their are very helpful and knowladgable. They have gorgeous leotards and dance clothes. I cant help myself each time I come to New York. The sale rack is my favorite part. They great deals on really nice quality leotards.

No street level signage but once we find it they had what we needed and were very nice. Was fun watching people try on tap shoes so close to Broadway.

HUGE assortment of dancewear. For a plus sized dancer you may have a little difficulty, but for NYC stores they have more selection than anyone. Some leos only go to L so thats a bummer, but theres lots of cute ones in XL. And they carry various brands so sizing is not always consistent. The staff was as hands-on as you want them to be; if you needed help searching for something they were willing and polite or if you wanted to browse and do your own thing you totally could.

Pretty comprehensive collection of dance goods. Neat store if you need something specific.

Outlet for anything ballet related and as this is NYC well worth a visit as a bargain for incredible quality can always be had.

They have very helpful staff to get you to what you need from the store.

Extremely disappointed. Service was terrible, store was messy, and there stock was terrible. We were not greeted and the sales associates wouldnt help when we asked and made us wait 15 minutes when the store was not busy at all. The dressing rooms were messy and it was hard to find what I wanted in the store. I even went to the other Capezio store in New York the one in Amsterdam and received the same service there. I will never shop with Capezio again after this terrible experience.

I was looking for a shoe that is use to dance folklorico which is a mexican traditional. I was calling different stores and the majority didnt have it or needed to have a order place and I needed the shoes like today. I call a store and a lady said or u can use flamengo shoes is the same style use for folklorico dances it has the nail on the tip and in the heel but she disnt have the size and needed to be order. I Google flamengo ahora and capezio pop and I call spoke to a young ladies name Caylee not only was she helpful she knew what I was looking for. Thank u for ur help n customer service .

My daughter got almost all her ballet gear here. The shop is located on the SECOND floor of an office building between Broadway and 7th st. They have mainly two parts . On one side is childrens wear and on the other side are shoes and adult clothing.

The black woman at the cashier is always super rude. Other staff are always friendly and helpful. I love the capezio adult leotard. So comfy and simple. Though my go to spot for pointe shoes fitting is still Charcott. Im very turned off by this cashiers attitude so made me reluctant to take on other services at this capezio store.
