Been using SMP for years, great service and guidance on solutions. A lot of the time Im calling with general concepts and Mikes helping me figure out what I really need. A+, highly recommend.

I started ordering from this company about 6 or 8 months ago. Upon receiving a call from Mike the owner there was an issue. He laughed at the way we answer the phone at my business. I found this to be extremely unprofessional, however we needed the shirt order to go through so I continued. The day before Thanksgiving I called to okay a proof and submit payment for another order. This is because this business wants to be paid 100% upfront before theyll start the order. I wasnt thrilled about this policy, but again I needed the shirts to be made so I overlooked it. Upon okaying the proof I asked if I could make my payment so that the order could be started and I could receive it the week after Thanksgiving. The girl working told me she would leave them a message but she couldnt take a payment. This morning at 8 a.m. I received two emails telling me that my payment is overdue. Overdue means late! This company does not start an order without being paid, so how could I be late? So I called Mike at SMP who explained how his system works but did not answer my question, which was direct and to the point. I asked if he had started my order yet. To which after several times asked he responded no. So then I asked how could I be overdue on an order that hasnt even been started yet. Mind you the only reason he has not been paid yet is because his employee couldnt take the payment on the 22nd when I okayed the proof. On the last order there was a shirt that had a rip in it. It was only an order for two dozen shirts. It probably would have taken about 30 seconds of quality control to notice that one of the shirts was ripped. When I called and mentioned that one of the shirts was ripped I was given an attitude as if they were to say what do you want us to do about it now? This is not how customer service is supposed to work. Payment due mean something other than payment overdue and the distinction is important but Mike at SMP does not seem to think so. After our conversation where I listened to Mike tell me about my own tone of voice and attitude instead of focusing on getting paid and going through with his order. He said no one else complains when they get email saying that their payments are overdue. And that if I didnt like it I could cancel my order. I still try to overlook this and go through with the order, but this mans Kurt and abrupt attitude just became unbearable. So I had to cancel my order. I would definitely not recommend this disrespectful business owner. He is more interested in being right then providing customer service.
