I brought Tofael a laptop that needed a lot of help. Was very dusty, would not boot up. For a more than reasonable price, Tofael managed to a very expensive and machine that wouldnt even boot up. Thanks to datavision, I was saved me thousands of dollars in costs for replacement components.Not only that, but the machine was returned to me very clean, with a reduction in idle temperatures that I was able to notice right away. Highly recommended for anyone with a machine that needs serious repair.

After a few days of delays, I was informed by Fedex to follow up with the vendor due to lack of tracking information after it persisted. The audacity of the marketing director, who informed me that As you can see by tracking, it was shipped timely. (it is still in New York a few blocks away from the store address) he made sure to follow up with We apologize for the Act of God, which was beyond our control. It was nice that the tech support guy came up to look at my problem. Unfortunately he was pretty rude and unhelpful. I needed a laptop cable but he claimed he didnt have the one I needed and wanted to charge me 90 dollars for it. He insisted I bring my computer to him and as I left he said he would give me a loaner cable. I wonder why he could not sell me the cable he had? Anyways, I went to PC Richard and Son and the salesman was so polite. He advised that I can try a universal adapter set. If it didnt work, I could return it. Well it DID work! Yahoo! I will be needing alot of electronics and I will certainly NOT go to DataVision.
DataVision takes advantage of their buyers, especially young students and young women. Not only did the manager make a false claim about the product I was returning knowing that I wouldnt put up a hassle, but I was treated disrespectfully by every employee working on shift. If youre thinking of buying from this store with the possibility of needing a refund... Dont. You will not receive one. The people here do everything they can to make commission off of their buyers including charging you with a 15% restocking fee IF they even approve of taking the item back.It shouldnt matter how young or old I am. It shouldnt matter if Im a man or a woman. And it shouldnt matter how large or small of a purchase Im going to make that day. A store should be treating its customers with the same seriousness and respect throughout. However, they dont care about their customers. They especially dont care if youre a college student who just put money they didnt have into their wallets for a mistake purchase. The item was repackaged with every sleeve/cover assembled in its original condition, within just two days of buying it, and absolutely no wear and tear or damage. This seller doesn’t have free returns!I bought a computer from them online and chose two day shipping at checkout. Even though it was “two day shipping,” it took them ten days to “prepare” the shipping. After I finally received the computer I realized it is too big for my space so I decided to return it (I did a little more research about similar computers during the long wait for shipping and found some other computers with similar performance but smaller.) I kept all of the labels on the computer and the power was never turned on. I put everything back to the box just how it came. You can barely tell the package was opened. I even bought a brand new box and bubble wrap to further protect the original box the computer came in.After a month I didn’t hear from the seller so I contacted them. The emails they sent in response looked like they were computer generated - not written by human being. It was always one short sentence (typically not answering my questions) and of course without anything such as “hello” or “thank you” to show very basic manners. Finally, I got the refund but the seller charged me a restocking fee (because I had open the package) which is 15% of the price of the computer (about two hundred dollar). Yes, if you buy a two thousand dollar computer and change your mind, you need to pay three hundred to return it. The restocking fee actually starts at 15%, so you definitely will pay more than 300 if you dare to turn the power on and try it out.I know this seller seems like they have a lot of nice products for sale, but stay away. Only buy from them if you are absolutely certain it’s the product you want - in other words - you never change your mind on your purchases.
Placed an order on 12/9 which was never received. The package was “delivered” on 12/12/19. I called Datavision the next day and was told an investigation would be started and I replacement or refund would be issued in about a week. Each week I have been told to wait a week. I called two days ago to get an update and was told “these things take time.” Done, done and done. I re-ordered through Apple. This company isn’t even worth the time or hassle. My package did not require a signature. I finally got a replacement on February 15th after having to call and get connected to someone through the sales line because the customer service line was not connecting me to anyone. I then had to speak with a manager after an hour to just have the package replaced.
Their disqualified tech blew my laptops system board by putting high voltage power source and blamed that it happened because my laptop which was not charging. I recommend everyone to stay away of this business.

My experience with DataVision was 5-star plus. The day before a planned day trip to the city my cat knocked over my Asus Zenbook and broke the hinge. When I brought my laptop in, I explained my travel constraints to Uddin who went above and beyond in repairing my laptop that day (fortunately they had the part that broke in stock). Uddin found another problem which he was able to repair as well. He had already left for the day when I returned so I didnt get to thank him in person, so a huge THANK YOU for your fast and excellent service! Based on my experience I would highly recommend DataVision for laptop repairs.

Terrible business. Ive been shopping here for a while because its near my office, but its just the little things that REALLY irritate me. Today I bought a clock here. Just a simple little alarm clock. The color on the box showed a black plastic clock. The word black was printed on both sides of the box. But what color was my clock when I pulled it out of the box at home? White. Someone at the store must have pulled it out for whatever reason, and then carelessly stuck it back in the wrong box.Its all little things like this that just go to show how little this business cares about their customer satisfaction. No wonder they have so many negative reviews online.
I purchased a monitor on line from data vision through Amazon. The monitor would not work correctly. I attempted to return it. I had to spend $60 to return it. They then claim that items that were never sent to us were not in the box (manual) and they could not exchange it. They also said the monitor had lots of wear. We were never able to use it! I have never heard of such poor customer service. As I look at other reviews, I see that I am not the only person dealing with these issues.
I placed an order with this company through Google Express for 4 Surface Pro 6s just to see only 1 device that was delivered inside the shipment. I automatically knew that there was no way there were 4 devices inside the shipment box that arrived because it was way too small to carry 4 devices and when I opened the box I started to think of every way possible to fit 4 of these things into the 1 small box I received and its literally impossible. I paid almost $10,000 for 4 of these devices just to have 1 arrive. I hope these idiots resolve my situation as soon as possible and figure out why I havent received all of my items. Why not simply refund me what they couldnt fulfill? Or did they run off with my money? Ill be updating this review as soon as they resolve my issue. Stay away from these people until further notice. Scam artists.
Company charging extra 25$ for expedited delivery and sending via standard ground service which is in the same offer free of charge. Later instead of full refund of difference start dispute. My company moved from Midtown to Downtown, when we needed to get Ethernet switches and cables to set up our new fiber connection, we were being quoted by IT companies for upwards of 2000 dollars for 2 switches.I looked for places that actually sold switches in a store since nothing on Amazon was going to be quick enough. One place quoted me for almost 200$ more than DataVision. It was a long trip going back uptown, but it was worth it. I was even given a copy of my receipt a week later after I lost my original to file my expense report.-The team is helpful-The selection is wide-The prices are competitive with the Midtown/Downtown NYC areaOnly goes to show that in this day and age, you still need brick and mortar stores.
Walked in to get my macbook checked. Both reps were on the phone and barely acknowledged me. After I asked if they could take a look at it. They argued that if they open it up and find nothing is broken, theyll have to charge me even though its under warranty.
Bought AirPods 2 from here, but they didn’t fit well so I went back to return them within the 2 week return policy with the box and everything intact. They told me that they can’t accept returns for AirPods and that I have to return them at an Apple store (??). I called Apple and they said they don’t know why they are refusing to take it back, but I can mail it to Apple and pay for the shipping, and they can assess whether they’ll accept the refund. So annoying!I tried calling the store I bought them from numerous times earlier, but it kept going to their company directory and I couldn’t get in touch with a store associate. Plus, my CC got declined there, but when I called my CC company, they said my card was fine and it was probably due to a faulty chip reader. So I couldn’t even use the CC I wanted, they don’t have a direct number to the store so I could’ve gotten this notice before I even went there, AND they refused to take it back. I’m never shopping here again.

So I returned and asked for my money back.They would only give me store credit. Wow should have read the reviews before buying from this outlet got a macbook in February and wasnt working properly I was thinking of sending it back and get a refund but they charge a 15% restocking fee so I would have been out of 300 easy so I took the labtop to a local computer repair and manage to save the labtop either that or pay the 15% restocking fee! You guys over Datavision should not be charging 15% restocking fee thats a great way to tell your customers if you try and return our products backs to us you will pay dearly! 15% not even the mob are that harsh to there customer lesson learn. Grossly overpriced. Avoid this place unless you REALLY have to go here. I usually buy my camera equipment from B&H Photo but since they close at 2pm on Fridays and because I really needed a macro video camera lens at the time I was forced to go to DataVision. A lens that costs $15 at Amazon, B&H or any other reputable retailer set me back $62 at DataVision and they conveniently have a no-return policy.Like I said before, I really needed the item at that very moment so I had to be taken for a ride. If you can help it in the least do not patronize DataVision.
Worst Amazon re-seller. Zero customer service. Ordered an product on Aug18. No communication from they why the product shipment was delayed. After a few email exchanges with a store rep - Mike S. I realized I was getting no where. He is rude, unprofessional and unethical.I will never order from this store again. Purchased a 27 inch Samsung monitor from Amazon/DataVision. The monitor was very poor quality and had issues with the setup buttons. The buttons would be very slow to respond and sometimes the monitor had to be unplugged and plugged back in to respond. I requested an RMA number from Amazon and did receive one but when I read the return policy for DataVision and also checked the web for this company I wrote and ask them if I would receive all my money back and they stated they would charge a restocking fee of 15%. I paid shipping costs of $20 and would have to pay return costs of $20 and a restocking fee of $40 which would make the return a loss to me of 30%. I will not deal with this company again and do not understand why a good company like Amazon uses a company like this. Amazon is very good about taking returns back without costs involved but like I say why do they use a substandard company like DataVision???

I went to Datavision to get a hard drive casing. The person helping downstairs wasnt the friendliest person and store is packed with so much merchandise that its hard to get around the store. There are these men standing around in suits looking like FBI agents who send these other young guys to follow people around to make sure they are not stealing. They make it look so obvious! Horrible in store experience. Ill never go there again. Strictly shopping online with these guys. I should add I did visit the store months ago. Im not sure if they changed the staff recently. Reading other peoples reviews from 1 year go it seems like they had the same experience I did.
Information online does not match what is actually at the store. I feel the phone representatives arent very helpful with suggestions and alternatives. They seem to pick up the phone as if they dont want to be there. Makes me just want to go to MicroCenter...

It was clearly stated that parcel with this extra shipping service will be with me within 2 working days after clear payment. They sent my laptop using Fedex ground service which took a week. Asked twice to ship to a certified fedex walgreens for pickup because we are a working family and wouldnt be home to sign for fed ex... not a huge problem but still never told fedex to send it to the walgreens so now we have to drive an hour and a half! Placed an order through their website I waited days and never received my order. I sent an email and got a nasty response from Sean. He claimed my order was canceled due to fraudulent activity on my credit card. I was never notified of this and given the opportunity to rectify the problem like other vendors do when this happens. I reordered the device from another vendor and the accessories through yet another vendors website without any incident. The problem was with DataVision and not my credit card. At the end of the month I received a charge on my credit card for the same transaction they claimed they couldnt process due the my card being fraudulent I had to dispute the transaction to receive a refund from paypal. Ill never order or recommend them to anyone. Complete and utter waste of my time from a company whos more concerned about negative reviews than actual customer service.

Ordered a camcorder from them through Amazon and I was sent a defective item. The box that the camera came in was opened and the camera makes a rattling noise when I shook it. I returned the camera 2 days after receiving it and DataVision charged me a restocking fee. Luckily, I took pictures and videos of the issue and Amazon was kind enough to refund me the restocking fee.The customer service at DataVision is almost non-existent. I corresponded with 2-3 different guys and all gave me 1 sentence responses. Their return policy is outdated and faulty. It doesnt matter if you, the customer, finds a flaw with the product; DataVisions inept technicians will always deem their product working and you will get charged a restocking fee. Theres a reason why they get terrible reviews on Yelp and Google..
Bought a brand new x34 predator monitor through amazon. It had severe back light bleeding so i returned it. They called me up out of no where after a week and told me the monitor they sent isnt the monitor they received. They will have to check with Acer to see the origin of this monitor before they can issue me a refund. Luckily Amazon had my back and issued me the refund right away after contacting Amazon support about this issue. And also told me that Datavision werent suppose to contact me on the phone. They were suppose to just email me through Amazon so Amazon can also get a reference on the content of the conversation. After reading all these negative reviews, im sure they were gonna scam me for some kind of restocking fee or accuse me of swapping monitors so they wont be able to issue me an refund or ask me to pay some kind of restocking fee. Very sketchy company. You are better off buying things on Amazon LLC, newegg or microcenter.

I bought a Macbook through amazon, the new 2016 with trackpad. Ive been using this for about a week or two, and unlike my friends who bought the exactly same model as mine, application was crashing, constantly rebooting. so i tried to fresh install the OS, and it will get stuck on Installing 6 Minutes remaining for 2~3 hours. so i have asked for a refund as a defected Item. at first they did not return my email for a week. once they finally approved for a refund for a partial amount, i kept on updating them with the shipping info, and how the product was defected, but no response what so ever for about 2 weeks. finally they sent me the refund, and they are charging me for $300+ for a defected item saying they couldnt find any issue from their end making a customer liar.worst company ever, and Ive been reading some of the review about this company and this company will mention their customers personal name in public forum. that does not seem appropriate also.@Response from the ownerin the last weekThe customer used a computer, and reinstalled the OS. If I had an issue with a product, they would exchange without hesitation. Their pricing is not to be beaten either. This place taught me all consumer electronics are negotiable. It is their way of showing loyalty. I never buy from neighbouring competitors once Datavision has the product.

Repair service is a RIP-OFF.Went there to fix my laptop (screen cable was loose, so the monitor would flicker). Paid $50 for diagnostics. Not only they did not fix it, but actually detached the cable completely and when I came to pick it up it wouldnt show anything at all, they told me to pay another $100 bcs the screen needs to be replaced.I refused.Came home, found youtube video how-to unscrewed the cover, reattached the cable, and everything works perfectly fine. No need to replace anything.I know everybody needs money, but this is not the way to do business. AVOID THEM. You can actually fix most problems yourself, just google them.

I ordered a pair of memory ram online from datavision for $40 each. 2 days later, they sent an email to say that it is out of stock and cancelled the order, but they still sell the exactly same item on amazon with $65 each.
Purchased a digital photo frame from DataVision. When it arrived the outter box was undamaged but the manufacturers box was damaged and was punctured. The frame was damaged and had multiple black streaks. The frame should have never been mailed. I was able to return the item for a new one but DataVision sent me the same frame back in the orginal damaged box. Called customer service, left a message but did not receive a return call. Finally, I was able to return the return product but I am waiting to see if they refund the original purchese price. Both frames shouls never have beem sent out to a customer. m Very poor quality control.
Unbelievable.Take orders, take the money, and then write you emails that they can;t deliver a week later.Forget this place.
I love the store, it is convient, and they are open seven days a week. I love how they put those apple computers in the front, they are bright and attractive. the second floor is nice and they have a rocking chair for you to watch the high screen tvs. The tvs are nicely priced and especially the one I seen in there which was the 42 inch Mangavox for $499.99. They have good products and they treat their customers like professionals.
Horrible store, awful service. I purchase a 32 Samsung TV there but when I took it home I found the inside of the lcd screen broken. They refused to take it back, basically called me a liar saying I caused it myself (even though I brought it back not even 10 hours after I purchased it.) these guys are a bunch of con men and their days are numbered.
Probably the WORST so called retailer I have ever dealt with. They pride themselves in customer service and supposed brand new products, but please take it from me, avoid the mistake I made with them. I ordered a NEW laptop from them and was very excited about it, especially at the price I got it at. When I got it in the mail, the package was beat up and was USED. I called these guys immediately, and the response I got was a JOKE. They said the product was new according to there computer and thats what they were standing by. I even sent them pictures of the product and they still denied it. Now I have to pay for shipping to return this USED product. Not only that, but there customer service is shiesty. The guy I talked to the whole time was name DONALD, yet his email was under JOHN GRIFFEN. He was also referred to as JOHN GIFFEN when I asked for him on phone calls. He received one or two of my emails with pictures before all of a sudden he stopped receiving them and claimed he did not receive anymore even though I sent them from the same gmail account address and he was able to send me an email saying he would not pay for return shipping. Also, they have a loser name Elliot over there who likes to talk over you instead of listen to the same story you have to repeat three times in order for them to figure out whats going on instead of documenting what happened. Please take my advice, the price isnt worth it. actually like B&H Photo. They have the same price and are more sufficient, do not send you crappy used products and are wayyyy better at customer service. Good Luck!
I bought a computer through them. Had it for a month before it stopped working. E-mailed and called multiple times. Finally got it sent it to be fixed. I was told I would be receiving a new computer to replace the broken one. A month later I had to call again to find out where my computer was. I was on hold for over an hour before someone finally came on and told me my computer had been shipped the night before. I finally received the computer a few days later but when I opened the box it was the very same computer I had sent to them. Even the box was the same. I got on the phone the very next day with them only to find out that apparently it had been dropped (which it hadnt been) so I wasnt getting my money back or a replacement computer. They told me to call Sony for an Asus computer. Sony told me to call Asus. This has been going on for nearly four months now. Asus finally helped me out and is fixing it for me. My point is, NEVER EVER use DataVision because they will just take your money and screw you over.
Recieved a tablet for christmas that came from this company. Ive had nothing but issues with it since I took it out of the box. Ive been on hold with them for over a hour to have it taken care of. Amazon really needs to drop them as a seller.
WENT TO DATAVISION AND BOUGHT A LAPTOP AND WITHIN A WEEK HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE LAPTOP AND THEY TOKE IT BACK AND EXCHANGED IT FOR A NEW ONE WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED.BEFORE I LEFT THEY SENT ME TO THE TECH TO CHECK THE NEW ONE.I LEFT VERY HAPPY.WILL RECOMEND AND TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THEM.GOOD JOB DATAVISION?
Stingy... they dont offer refund, only exchange/store credit. Electronics in clamshell packaging wont be exchanged or given store credit. Products that appear on their website were not available in the store.
This company sucks. They sell broken product then you have to pay to send it back and takes them forever to return your money .Buy somewhere else.
They sent me a defective item, I sent it back to them and then they sent it back to me without telling me why. They have a poor rating on Google, Amazon, Yelp, and the BBB. They will scam you too.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I would leave 0 stars if possible. Buyer beware!! If you get a defective product, you will be stuck with the return shipping charges and no customer service. I had to escalate the claim to Amazon to get my refund. Buy from someone else, Amazon needs to drop sellers like this!! Their Sales manager Mike is a joke and a scan artist. Do not trust him or what he says.
Awful! After not even one week product stopped working. Wanted to make an exchange, emailed customer service, was told I had to call. Called, was on hold 15 minutes before speaking with someone, only to be told there is nothing they could do, and item must be sent back directly to manufacturer. Rude, unhelpful, unwilling to transfer me to a supervisor

Im not happy with this company right now. I have been trying to call for the last two days and it appears that the numbers disconnected. I ordered a package through them, which was supposed to be here today and it appears that I will not be getting it today... NEVER ordering from them again....
