DO NOT SHOP HERE!When I went into Carnegie Digital Computers, I assumed from the looks of it, that it was a nice and fair store. I traveled abroad to the USA, and wanted to buy a nice camera. The owner seemed very nice, charming and helpful towards me, so we went on looking at the different cameras. I am not a camera pro, so I asked him a lot of questions about the specifics, and what I wanted in my camera. He answered me with all the answers I wanted to hear, and even proposed for me the perfect lens for the camera I was about to purchase. Now when I am back home, I find the camera to be different from what he explained to me, the specifics are not the ones he assured me of, and I payed overprice for the camera and the lens. I am so sorry that I assumed the best of him, but even though the shop seems good, the salesman was nothing more than talk.For all future visitors at this store - Do not buy anything!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came in to their store recently and was greeted warmly by the staff members. They answered all my questions and recommended me the items which best fit my needs, and were not pushy nor aggressive. They have a decent selection of computer hardware at competitive prices (lowest prices I could find for many things). I would shop there again.

After purchasing a new IPhone ( boxed and in sealed wrap ) from here discovered 2 weeks later that it was what Apple calls a Franken phone. Made up of bits. Do not purchase from this shop.It is 5 years on from the experience but still feel impacted by it.

Visited this store while in New York City shopping. The price was very competitive and the salesperson was extremely helpful (a rare thing in NYC). I will shop here again and recommend it to my friends!

Big rip-off. Forgot to bring my earbuds one day and i walked in the store randomly. I bought a low quality pair of earbuds for $98 (later i found it selling for $14 at Walmart online). The store cannot give a refund after 5 seconds of the purchase.

Complete ripoff, all these reports are true. But these people are not bad, they even know how to fake positive reviews and webpages. Try to find out the owner on these pages ... very well hidden .... also on the store ...

Totally overpriced! They lie to you just to sell a product. The prices are even higher then anywhere, then they offer you a big discount after talking to the shop manager (still overpriced). And when you dont take it they get unfriendly...never again

Dont waste your time or money

Dirty bunch of scam artists, went in for a camera battery and was told $128, when I queried this was told price was $69.Same battery in other more reputable camera stores, $15.This shop has been ripping people off for years. Their receipts just show price, no shop name or addressDont shop here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thieves !!

These people are scam artists. They misrepresent products and use high pressure sales tactics to sell gray market equipment.I agree with the previous negative comments. DO NOT SHOP HERE, DO NOT WALK IN, YOU WILL BE SUCKED INTO THEIR LIES..Do not believe the positive comments in this page. They are not posted by real identities.

Totally waste of time. Tried to sell a 10yrs old used phone (and giving a forged receipt).. When asked to refund, denied bluntly.When had to step out to call the cops, they returned the money in a very insulting manner.

Worst rip off artist I have ever encountered. So much so, the took my phone so I could not compare prices. No items is priced and the sale items are not in stock, even when you can see the packages in the store. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!
