I absolutely enjoyed this place. While I didnt get a chance to enjoy my drink outside, ordering my drink inside was a treat. Being inside I was treated to llamas on the side and all the awesome accessories being sold. The Barista behind the counter was friendly and helpful in my tea selection. My girlfriend got an iced coffee and she enjoyed it as well! I would definitely check it out if youre in the area 🙂.
I’ve been coming here since they opened and it’s one of my favorite places in the city. The kindest people you will ever meet, not to mention delicious coffee and eats. I have since moved out of the city but always make it back here to see Oya. She remembers all of her regulars and makes you feel loved each and every time. Great location as well!
Super cute! This coffee shop is adorably decorated with llamas and the coffee is good too. The baristas were nice & gave me a bandaid after I got a paper cut. We sat outside to enjoy our drinks and chat
Great coffee and lovely staff. Nice outdoor seating to read at.
Best coffee and hand made pastries in town with a super nice owner and wonderful baristas. Don’t only get your coffee, but also enjoy the friendly atmosphere and be a part of the family. Came here many times and will continue to do so…
This is my favorite coffee shop in the east village. Their oat milk lattes are perfect. The food is delicious and the people who work there are just so nice. The space is small but that’s okay. I often have a stroller with me, and they help me with the door and everything. Impossible to be disappointed here. Today I tried something different and it was freshly made an just so good. The owner makes these in house, they are Turkish pastries. The filling in the ones I bought were potato, and the other had feta. Delicious.
Charming, great for a quick cup of coffee/bite. Very polite and lively.
Fine coffee, but I had an absolutely terrible food experience. Ordered a mozzarella and tomato sandwich, and asked if the pesto had nuts (Im allergic). Ive been allergic to nuts my whole life, and I am always very careful with what I do and dont eat. The host responded with a confident no. I ate the half of the sandwich, and then realized I was having an allergic reaction to the pesto, which I thought didnt have nuts in it as I was told. Im not sure if the host actually knew what was in the pesto or not, but this is unacceptable service. My reactions can range anywhere from moderate to life-threatening -- thankfully this one was moderate. Reliable ingredient information is extremely important when it could be someones life in the story!
It was really nice how they served us. It’s also really clean. I’d like to go back here again.
TaCozy spot with great coffee, snacks and breakfast foods.
Best coffee in town! try latte asap!had a breakfast at 8 am, best place to start a beautiful day!
Delicious cappuccino. Everything else looks good too.
Nice smoothies, esp the mango pineapple smoothie.
Love this place great oat cappuccinos and a delicious egg sandwich.
Where do I start... well for starters HUGE! life savers. I walk in like a morning zombie lack of energy and all 😅 but once I get the big smell of the coffee and the beautiful good morning and great smiles from the baristas brings me joy. Once I’m handed my mocha just wow I’m out of my morning slug and ready for what the day has stored for me. I will forever be grateful for them helping me get thru my gloomy days and ever so busy days Keep up the good work!! You make this nyc messenger very happy and always energized to work. So I thank you very much ❤️🚴🏻♂️
This was the absolute BEST coffe and hot chocolates ever! We went here on a trip to the city. We were ducking out of a rainstorm while waiting for reservations. So cute and quaint, and the service was the absolute BEST! My 2 sons ordered hot chocolates.. They made sure they were ot too hot (I didnt even have to ask!) My youngest accidentally knocked his over after drinking a 3rd of it. We asked to order another since my son was obviously sad about the accident. They made him another beautiful hot chocolate and would not let us pay for it! Incredible hospitality and put a huge smile on my little boys face! Thank you!!
Easily one of the best oat milk cappuccinos in town. The Devoción beans are the finest quality. The team are all awesome people and super nice. Great vibe!!
Wonderful coffee, warm and friendly staff, awesome bakery too with goodies that go great with coffee!
OMG! Love Lazy Llama!!! They are my neighborhood coffee shop. Great coffee. Great conversations. Frequented by us locals (and out of towner b4 Covid 19). The Llama stayed open all during the pandemic and keep the neighborhood supplied with coffee & homemade baked treats throughout. It is a central meeting place and connection for the residents that did not leave the city. It’s cozy, comfy with out door seating and gives the neighborhood some sanity during this horrible pandemic. Thank you Lazy Llama! ❤️
I love this little place! The staff is super friendly and the coffee and food are delicious. You might miss it on the menu, but their egg & croissant sandwich is so, so, so satisfying.
This adorable little cafe sneakily has some of the best coffee and tea you can find in Manhattan. The iced tea is particularly fantastic, and it comes in additional flavors like Earl Grey and mango peach.
Great coffee and banana cake. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely come back. Cheers
This coffee is delicious!!! Nice aroma and freshness as soon as you open the bag!!! I will definitely be ordering some more!!!
Amazing stuff, delicious food, great coffee!!! Mozzarella sandwich is my favorite!
The best coffee shop in NYC.It has been 2 years now that I take almost everyday my latte & granola there. I’m addicted ! My husband is addicted to their egg salad and my daughter to their chocolate croissant & cookies. Everything is homemade and so delicious! & Oya the owner is amazing! 😍
Sadly after paying for my drinks the owner walked out the store behind me and told me in front of other guests that I stoled from his business. I felt embarrassed because this was not the case and he misunderstood the transaction I had with the barista where he dismissed the extra charge. In my previous visits within the week a woman at the counter charged me $12 for 2 lattes and I always left a tip I must add. She was lovely. But this time around there was a man and I asked about the extra charge and he couldnt provide me with why he charged me extra. Something didnt add up and I asked why. The staff member said forget it. After being followed out I was also rudely told by the so called owner that I didnt even say thank you. ¿So all this because I didnt say thank you or because I questioned the extra charge? ¡Nobody should have to be treated with such disrespect, especially an avid CUSTOMER! Dont get coffee here, I swear. I said Thanks Alot butmaybe he didnt hear because of my mask. ¿or maybe the owner didnt hear because he was busy speakin to the barista about his great time playing ps4 at home during quarantine? And I will report this and much more to the better business bureau. Classically, staff members who abide to law in nyc would NOT speak over my latte without a mask, and then with the owner? And if youre the owner, buddy, wheres my 6 feet? I feel like since ya wanted to school me, I should school yall. I AM still VERY UPSET because I felt targeted and taken advantage of because of my attire. I AM NOT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE BUT IM RESPECTFUL AND I TAKE PRIDE IN BEING DIFFERENT AND TO MYSELF and from that neighborhood ALL MY LIFE. I dare you to take a look at the camera. The owner needs to be dealt with accordingly. This is not well. I really hope that he was only posing as the owner because an owner must lead by example.
It was my first time visiting Lazy Llama. I ordered a latte and a black coffee (moderate pricing for nyc coffee ~$4/each.)After about 7 minutes it was evident that they forgot my coffee order.I reminded the barista, and after rudely shrugging off my request, she proceeded to make 6 more coffees before taking the 10 seconds necessary to pour my black coffee.I had heard good things prior, but it turned out to be a time consuming trip with terrible service. Don’t recommend.
LOVE this Coffee Shop! The owner and staff always deliver excellent coffee and fresh food Highly recommend this warm cozy place !
Good Stumptown Coffee and selection of other hot & cold drinks. We didnt eat here, but there were pastries and sandwiches on offer. Light bites. Not much room to sit down, but the little bench outside was lovely to sit and enjoy the sunshine (November), sipping coffee and watching the world roll by. Great find.
Good place to have a laid back conversation or meeting, but no place secluded enough for a remote meeting.
Best cappuccino I’ve ever had. Also ate an amazing chocolate chip peanut butter cookie. This is my first destination to go back to when I’m in NYC.
During our trip this was our favorite place to get breakfast. Yummy bagels, good coffee, delicious banana or pumpkin bread. And not to forget: kind staff and a music playlist so nice that we follow it now too on Spotify. All in all the best coffee place that New York has to offer!
Oat milk cortado $5Decent oat milk cortado. A little bitter for me but Good and strong uplift. Didnt like the look of any of the food IRL as much as in the photos online so didnt order anything else.Music inside was too much the day I visited and it was mild so sat outside instead. I wish more coffee shops would trust their ambience without music. The service was friendly.
Such a cute little spot. The staff is very kind and the coffee is great! Very peaceful.
My favorite coffee in the area, can’t beat it
Great little coffee shop with delicious pastries and fast wifi. Not much seating.
The barista was continously petting a dog as she was preparing lattes... and never washed hands. Coffee tastes great but sadly very poor hygiene.
Tiny coffee shop. Hardly any space. If it is warm outside there is a veranda to have a cup of coffee at. Good coffee and pastry.
Beautiful café. Had the chance to talk to the owner, Oya, and she was wonderful and kind and made great espresso.Definitely come here!
Great service
The coffee is a balance of bright and subtle sweetness, and the cafe atmosphere is welcoming yet hip. Would love to come back.
Best little coffee shop Ive visited so far in New York. Great cold brew, great sandwiches, and the sweetest staff!!
Avocado toast is awesome! Flat white was superb... Fast & friendly service.
Great!! And sunny terrace is a great plus ☄️
Coffee is good. What I really liked is that they let me sit for a couple hours with only buying one cup of coffee
The best coffee in LES! Heart warming people... it is definitely worth for a lovely smile in the mornings on top of your coffee! Btw, great avocado bread!!! OMG!!!
Great little place. Awesome espresso
Helpful staff and delicious, high quality options. Sweet ambiance. Im preferring this place over Starbucks.
Love the vibe. Fantastic flavor and friendly service. Try the mocha here!
Great cold brew, coffee and (Stumptown) espresso! Egg-Bites, salmon bagels and chocolate croissants (baked in-house) are all very delicious. Very friendly service.
Had a marvelous time with a delicious taste. Oya made our day. Try their Tea Forte you will love it!
The coffee is great and quick. I go here nearly everyday on my way to work. Its perfect.
Weird joint. A lot smaller then it looks in the pictures lol.
The worth coffee in town.
Nice coffee shop with food items, there is seating (about 8 spaces/chairs). Even though its called Llama theres no South American food here.
Cute little coffee spot with good coffee and bagels. They have a few tables which is nice!
Love this place- coffee shop with tons of options
Best Chai Latte in town ! Lovely staff 🥰❤️

Awesome espresso drinks and coffee and super-delicious pastries -- croissants are baked in-house. Great customer service!
Tiny spot for good coffee, nice to sit if you can get a space
Fun place with good coffee.
Friendly staff and fresh roasted beans. Brightened my lazy afternoon.
Great coffee, and lovely people work here! Highly recommend :)
The Lazy Llama serves Stumptown coffee and an assortment of delicious snacks in a retro-rustic space. Featuring outside seating and complementary WiFi, this is undoubtedly one of the East Villages most pleasant cafés.
Fantastic espresso. Very cool artsy vibe.
The only coffee my llama likes
Cool place.....nice and tasteful cookies and pastries. .... Friendly owner.

Perfect place to stop in for a quick, well-made coffee.
