The staff especially Yosel who was like the best staff ever, super friendly with his big smile. They made me feel very welcome on my 1st visit. You can find an amazing vibe and delicious variety of food and coffee in this excellent little Moroccan Cafe. Casablanca Sandwich is amazing! I will sure come here again and again.
Excellent little Moroccan cafe with a delicious variety of (chai) teas and delicacies. Their pastries are fresh and their service is friendly. If you have a difficult time choosing from their menu, they offer a superfood latte sampler. Great place to go with friends, for a casual date, and also to enjoy by oneself for a quick bite or drink.
Visiting nyc for a few weeks and have been working here during the day! Only two sockets to plug your laptops in and the music is sometimes too loud for meetings but apart from that it’s a full package. Great coffee, lunch, snacks and WiFi! Lots of folks around that are here to work as well - love this cafe :)
Diverse selection of food. My drink was the perfect temp. The outdoor dining area was one of the more nicely decorated setups
Looks great. So many picture perfect spots. Not like I took any though. Those chairs that looks like a sitting palm, I would avoid them next time especially if I want to eat. Not ergonomic at all.I didnt really enjoy my spaghetti bologonese, the sauce was too saucy. Too much ingredients that I could not even understand the taste.I love the very creamy coleslaw.I think the fresh juice is too pricey. Hello, were in the food basket of the Nation! Even though the basket seem to be empty as prices are on the high side but I think its way expensive for the quantity. My opinion though.Service was kinda slow too and when the food was brought, it was lukewarm. Im still wondering what happened...
Beautifully decorated places and the vibe in general is very relaxing! The food is great especially the shashuka and Moroccan sausage omelette platter! We have both of the above and were really satisfied. The coffee can be better as it was just okay. The chicken curry salad was great too! Overall a great place to unplug and enjoy a fine breakfast
Wow finally a place that has terrific food!!! I just moved to the lower east side on Clinton and let me tell you I have yet to find a place I can buy breakfast lunch and dinner and be satisfied with every meal. This place is the best place to eat in a three block radius. I am not exaggerating one bit. The food is made with extreme love and the atmosphere is awesome. The service is second to none. This place is a true gem.
Amazing found while I was waiting for my friend!! The staffs were friendly and the foods were so nice!! The sandwich definitely amazed me so much😍 I will return again
I waited for a while outside. When they didn’t bring me my sandwich and I asked about it, they proceeded to ignore me and my question. Definitely not a place I’d go back to
This place is just amazing. Great quality of food, and so affordable. You can get a delicious breakfast sandwich for $4!!!They call it a “half sandwich” but trust me the portion is just fine.Great Moroccan mint tea & Moroccan decor.Fast service. A true hidden gem! I love it!
First time in and they were certainly packed, but all of the employees were friendly and helpful. Theres a pretty extensive menu with plenty to try. My crepe (banana nutella) did take a while to arrive but it was most definitely worth the wait and Ill be back here for sure!
For years, i would meet up with friends to plan the rest of our move at pause or for a quick study sesh when i’d be visiting but today was myfirst time going after i moved to the city myself. they have wifi and outlets which make it a great place to work even now. there’s always good music and beautiful decor, comfortable seating and the food is fantastic. had the meatball shashuka on a plate (rather than sandwich)and it was DECADENT! love this place
The decor is worth visiting this cafe for-beautiful Moroccan inspired paintings and accent pieces especially the mosaic water fountain. The food and staff were also absolutely amazing! Highly recommend their cheese scallion scone toasted with butter-one of the best scones I’ve ever had. Would definitely go back when I visit NYC again!
Honestly such a gem in the LES. The sandwiches are awesome, wide selection of coffee, power/regular smoothies açaí/Pattaya bowls? Chef kiss. Their desserts are delicious as well. HIGHLY recommend, they are dog friendly as well!
As a developer / designer, coffee shops across the globe have been my go to when entering a new city. I must say since I’ve been in NYC, the hospitality this coffee shop provides is beyond words. Great coffee, awesome staff, comfortable atmosphere. This is what we as developers dream of when away from the office. I think I’ve found a new home away from...... home. Take a “pause” when in the city and visit this coffee shop ASAP.
Nice store and lots of outdoor seating, but Ive ordered lattes on separate occasions and gotten different sizes and quality of steamed milk each time? Based on the other reviews though, maybe I should be ordering something different from the menu
I ordered a large latte. I received a small. After asking about it, I proceeded to watch a woman pour my drink into a larger cup with more ice and the same amount of drink. I felt truly embarrassed and offended by this action and never want to be near this place again. :((
Decent cafe. Not enough outlets. If you order an iced drink without ice they give you a smaller cup :/For the $7 you charge you can at least not be skimpy.
Love this place - I always get either the turkey lovers salad or the eggs with turkey bacon. Both are great. One critique is that the iced coffee could be a bit stronger.
Great sandwiches, plenty of seating (2 outdoor parklets), and friendly service.
The cafe has a Moroccan theme. The vibe when you enter the cafe is so cool. From what I saw, they have a lot of healthy food options. They have these small date bombs which are AMAZING. Definitely try them. The neighborhood is sweet, so just grab a coffee and go for a walk.
Amazing service, atmosphere and lattes! Loved my dirty pink latte with oat milk - I had no idea what to expect - YUM! I will be back for the food!!
Nice environment. Very fresh cool outside and inside. They have greenprint straws.
Loved the place, the atmosphere, the food and the coffee. Personnel was also very friendly, helpful and patient.I got a smoothie bowl and it was one of the best looking and tasting in my life. I will definitely come back to try something different.Be aware of the crowd, trying to find a place to sit$8 small acai bowl$2.75 small americano✅restrooms
Friendly staff, super cute morrocon themed interior and great selection of food!
Love this spot the snacks and coffee’s are delicious & they are super friendly every time I walk by or stop in...Kate is amazing she always remembers me and my order.
The call it café, but if you love coffee, you have been warned, you will only find machine coffee served with tasteless pastry choices that scream health without joy
Pause is home to the best chai on the lower east side. They also have superfood bowls, green juice, purple detox juice, egg and smoked turkey platters, lox bagels and a whole host of baked goodies. The atmosphere is bohemian, warm, and welcoming. Its hard on Saturday and Sunday when locals pack the dining area. Just hang tight you might be able to wedge between the bar and bench seating.
This is my favorite LES neighborhood spot for coffee and food! The staff is so friendly, and the atmosphere screams cozy NYC local coffee shop. The food is amazing - the smoothies, salads and sandwiches are all 10/10 across the board. I take all my friends/colleagues here when we’re looking for a good spot for a bite and cup of coffee
This is a really cool place, and the menu is great with fair prices. My smoothie was good. The missing star is for the mint tea. I asked if it was home-made and ended up with a tea bag in my cup.
Got there a little after opening on Saturday - our food SOMEHOW even though we were the first there, took more than half an hour. Ordered breakfast and a matcha green hot chai (sounds yummy? Wouldnt know... Didnt have much flavor). I did enjoy the meatball shakshuka but apparently it was the only dish with flavor (my three friends got crêpes, savory and sweet, and none were good). I cant say the value matches the cost. The decor is very nice and the outdoor dining is really cute too.
There isnt anything bad here. Everything is worth a try and definitely take a pound of coffee home. Its worth it
Delicious food. Decent prices. Great coffee.
Just found this place and instantly had become a fav. Loved everything about this cafe! I will be back....often!
Fabulous service awesome selection and best coffee
It was really good there coffee is so fresh I will be back
I loved their chocolate muffin so much I got another!
Nice spot. Very busy. Good food delivered quickly. Staff buzzing around non-stop but really well organized.
Passed by on my way out of Ivan Ramen and stopped in for some pastries and coffee. Cute cafe really homey design, really felt like a warm comfy spot. The coffee was good, and the pastries we ordered were really nicely done. Soft where it needed to be and firm when needed. Not too sweet could really taste the ingredients. Came back the nex day for an acai bowl and was not disappointed. Great place to go to get out of the cold or do some self introspection. Gets quite busy though!
Friendly, efficient and delicious coffee and baked goods!
Reminds me of tulum. The ice chai is dank.
Green detox was really good :) not too sweet, just right. $9 for a large
Love their Acui bowls
Really cool cafe with a variety of cafe drinks and food items. I enjoyed the garden veggie sandwhich and ice coffee. Its a nice place to meet up with friends and offers comfrotable outdoor seating. I think the only issue I had was they took a while to prepare the sandwhich, but after receiving it was worth the wait and freshly prepared.
I enjoyed their atmosphere, the sandwiches, and coffee.
Nice hipster filled Cafe in LES. Good for a bit or a cup to go.
One of our favorite cafes in the area! Consistently delicious food, plus it’s halal! Would definitely recommend.
Came here for afternoon reading. They have pretty good oat milk flat white and I like that they have both outdoor and indoor seatings. However, the seats were in a pretty awkward height so it wasnt too comfortable if you plan to stay for a couple hours.
Love love love this spot. Super fresh healthy food and great vibes. Cool spot to work from too!
Excellent little Moroccan cafe.
Very nice Moroccan cafe. The Moroccan drip coffee is sublime. Everything on the menu is delicious of course. I wish if there was a location on the Upper West Side however. Please try the Moroccan coffee as it has the most exotic spices simmered in milk and coffee.
Only go here if u are on a bland diet. The wait time was quick tho
Come here nearly everyday since it’s its right near my work and it never disappoints!! I especially love their quiches. Hands down my favorite spot in NYC. The prices are reasonable, the staff is superb, and the food/coffee is a delight. See you tomorrow!
Authentic, fresh, delicious. Small and cozy with healthy food and an incredibly friendly staff. The owners are Moroccan and mix in authentic items along with sandwiches, salads, smoothies, acai bowls, and of course coffee. This place is plenty busy (since the food is so good) but always moves fast. Recently expanded the location and now has plenty of homey seating. One of my favorite quick bites and cafes in LES.
This place is an experience. The vibe is definitely North African. A plethora of healthy and tasty options on the menu. And their smoothies are one of the best in the City. Give the Thinker Juice a try and their Iced ginger lemon tumeric tea as well. Ask for honey with it!
Really nice place. Moroccan nomadic atmosphere makes me feel at home
This is def my favorite coffee shop in New York. A true gem. The owners are so hospitable and the place is so warm. Highly recommend it if you are craving a refreshing acai bowl, a north african mint tea or delightful pastries
Best chai latte & delightful atmosphere, loved this spot
Great prices, nice staff. Sometimes they talk in Arabic and think no one can hear them but its okay haha. I got the hot chocolate and it was delicious and they bring it in a tall glass with froth on the top.also had a chance to try their smoothies which we amazing and had the perfect amount of subtle sweetness.
Solid 2 star breakfast place. Lady got my order wrong & food is extremely bland. Take your money elsewhere
Go-to coffee/breakfast place! The chocolate peanut butter açaí bowl is the best, and the sandwiches, salads and coffees are great. Lox bagel, pecorino salad (it’s spicy) and Casablanca sandwich are my favs. Great nice and friendly staff, and ambience.
You. Must. Try. THE CHICKEN AVOCADO SANDWICH!Staff is super friendly and the environment is super chill.
Coffee and smoothy bowls are so good. Recommended the mixed nuts bowl. Sandwich also good. I always come here when I come to nyc
