I enjoyed my coffee and pastries! The door is a little hard to see when passing by, so look twice. The person behind the counter was very friendly, coffee was really smooth, and the cafe area is cozy.
Amazing cafe . Great baristas . Lots of people work from here - tons of seating and outlets with fast wifi. Recommended !
Definitely worth the subway ride here, I ordered a vanilla latte and it was amazing. It’s tucked away so a little difficult to find at first but ultimately a great place to relax and study
Such a cute little coffee shop! Loved my iced vanilla latte. Had a bit of a tough time finding it at first. Found out it’s actually inside a hotel on 44th and W 29th street. Hope this helps some of you !
I think it’s okay. Coffee is more on the sour side, ac is a little cold, there is wifi, you can work here. Staff is nice. All in all good though.
Among the best coffee shop in area. Super cute interior design and excellent quality of beverages. The only negative point is the limited seating, there is only a handful of seats by the coffee shop but you can also seat near the bar, which is on the back. Take into consideration that this shop is part of a hotel.
Great coffee and the barista was really nice. We got an iced latte and a hot latte with oat milk. My only complaint is the long wait time. There were only two people ahead of us in line and it took 40 minutes to order and receive our drinks. This is the longest I have ever waited for coffee. Not sure if this is because they are short staffed or if it is always like this
Great cafe inside the lobby of a cute boutique hotel. Small outdoor space on the roof is great for getting work done. Coffee barista (never got her name) is super friendly, Im planning to become a regular here for sure!
Great coffee. Amazing interior design💕
It’s a nice spacious coffee shop attached to the hotel. They have few tables around the coffee station but there are also tables available inside the hotel lobby. My latte was nice and strong. They don’t have milk out. I guess you have to ask if you need extra milk. It took some time to get our drink and the shop wasn’t busy in the afternoon. I imagine it might be a long wait in the morning.
Very friendly staff, & relaxed vibe. Lots of light & open space! Patrons (mostly studying or working) were appropriately distanced, & the beautiful furniture added a nice touch to the space. Plants on the rooftop welcomed us to a cozy atmosphere!
Great coffee culture (aesthetic). Not so great coffee. Understaffed.
A unique coffee shop hidden inside the lobby of the Made Hotel.Interesting architecture and design combined with comfortable seating make this a great place to enjoy your coffee - if you can find a place to sit! Once you do, it may be hard to leave...Initially, I did not care for the coffee. The drip isnt that good. Im not an espresso guy, so I decided to try the pour over. Its quite an experience! The barista spent well over five minutes of her time preparing it and the attention to detail was obvious. Once it was done, the presentation was perfect and the coffee itself tasted great. Ill definitely be back!
I am so glad that I discovered this coffee shop. It is a bit hard to find from the street as there is no sign on the building, just on the sidewalk. It is in the lobby of the Made Hotel, so if you find their plaque on the sidewalk you have made it to the right place.Great coffee and even better atmosphere. The layout is so interesting and feels very cozy. The staff was so friendly, and they told me all about the architect for the building and the Japanese company that provides their ceramics (hopefully they will start selling the mugs soon!) I love this shop and can’t wait to go back.
Delicious blended coffees. Clean friendly atmosphere. A total experience.
Really nice space, good coffee, limited pastry/food offerings.
A cozy cafe that used to have superb pastry, friendly service, and good coffee. Sadly, the quality of its espresso has significantly dropped when I visited on early Oct 2018. Also, only one C which was a leftover from the day before on a Saturday. No fresh pastry available on weekends. Compared to its current quality of espresso, its very overpriced. Despite with its homy vibes, will not go back again.
Tldr: Go for the interior/seating, but not for the coffee.Went on a Sunday afternoon, relatively busy, but still got a table. The inside is very cozy and well decorated. The single barista behind the counter was clearly overwhelmed, but soon after another barista showed up. The quality of espresso was quite disappointing, so maybe just get a cold brew…
Its located in the lobby area of a hotel, but it could really stand on its own as a cafe. The ambiance is warm and open, theres a good amount of seating - good for casual catch-ups and working on your laptop (there are outlets!!), and the coffee is goooood.
I like the atmosphere but unfortunately a matcha latte can be almost like a steamed milk
Great work space, coffee was quite good as well. Loved the interior decor and the bathrooms are super nice too! Wifi is a little unstable which is why I took a star off, but would return to get some work done that doesnt require a lot of strong internet connection!
You really need to go through the sliding glass to the outdoor area in the back. A really nice place to chill.
The atmosphere felt so comforting and chill. The staff are really sweet and calm.
Service was incredible and workers were extremely nice👍👍 i recommend!!
Worst experience ever. They didn’t have any snack or food options available. They had one of each pastry and ended up giving the incorrect stuff to everyone. They charged me for the food I didn’t get and then claimed to give a refund.
Had a lot of expectations about this place but the barista was rude and the coffee was extremely hot. Nice vibe inside but not worth the coffee. Had a simple americano. Wasn’t thrilled and too hot.
Organization of the counter could be a little better, there wasnt much space to go up and grab my coffee. They also didnt take a name, just called out the name of the drink, and mine almost got taken by the person that ordered after me. Thankfully the person behind the counter was on top of it though.Delicious latte (honeybear) and prices about what youd expect for a midtown Manhattan coffee shop.
We love your smoothies and strawberry cream puff. You deserve to be at the top list, guys! Very highly recommended to all of my friends!
These guys don’t mess around and the turn over is really quick. Staff were fantastic very attentive once orders were taken they are pretty quick in getting your meal to you.
Perfect for hanging around and getting stuff done
Pretty great for a hotel coffee shop.
Loved that they share the space with other businesses, it made for a very interesting people-watching experience. interior design is impeccable and the baristas were super friendly. was bummed that i wasn’t going to have time to explore brooklyn, but was pleasantly surprised to hear they serve devocion coffee.
Exclusive place. GREAT coffee
Great espresso, love the environment.Somehow feels like home in Italy. One of the VERY few places I go to in Midtown to have coffee!
Wanted to find a spacious coffee spot, relatively quiet and with sitting and found this location online. To my delight, the place was very nice and pleasant with nice staff and really good coffee and ambiance.Their vanilla latte with oat milk (pictured) was very very good; I recommend it.The only down things for me is that the coffee is a bit overpriced, there IS sitting but theres a really nice area that’s reserved to hotel guest, which limits sitting space and the music was on the louder side for me.
Good ambiance!
Average coffee. But the space is comfortable.
Service was amazing.
Best coffee so far in NY!Have lots of different options for the milk, soy, oat and almond. The croissants/pastry is delicious and the staff is super friendly! They have a sustainable approach and encourage their customers to enjoy the coffee in a standard ceramic mug.The venue has a great vibe and there’s care put into the whole design; from the cutlery to the furniture.Top work guys!Highly recommended!
This place is superb, staff are friendly and welcoming. We came to this coffee shop for breakfast after a recommendation from a friend.
Paper Coffee is one of my favorite places in midtown to get a delicious cup of joe. Rumor on the street says they are going to begin roasting their own coffee soon too! Amazing vibes here. The inside is warm, cozy, and so welcoming. Great place to hang and do some work, sit and catch up with friends, or grab an amazing burger in the back of the lobby. Super friendly staff. Paper Coffee is a hidden gem. Ferris downstairs is also one of my favorites. Enjoy!
I loved the interconnectedness of what they have going on with the hotel and restaurant. Very quick and social coffee spot where you can relax and do some work, meet up with a friend or hang out while you wait for dinner. Wish the hours would extend a little later but besides that I definitely enjoyed this shop more than the monotonous corporate hubs.
Great coffee and amazing service. I got there very close to closing, but the nice hotel staff (MADE Hotel) not only let me stay and work, but also made sure I felt well accommodated, despite not being a guest. Also got to pet lots of nice dogs. Will definitely be back soon.
This place is a gem! The staff were super friendly, and they have sparkling water on tap. It feels like a sunlight filled version of the Ace Hotel lobby with room to work. Around 15:00 they transition to more of a food service vibe, so best to go early in the day if you plan to spend any time hanging out or working on a laptop.
Besides the short business hours (closes at 5pm everyday), its an awesome place to sit comfortably for work, reading a book, or catching up with friends. Ive had the almond latte and teas and both options were solid. I just love all the different places you can sit, at the bar, long desks to laptops, the couches...
Paper Coffee is the coffee shop located in the very cool Made Hotel just north of the Flatiron District. Its pretty large and its wooden design and large windows invite customers to stay for awhile to work at one of the several tables. They sell morning baked goods and really good coffee. The baristas know what they are doing and my latte was one of the best Ive had in NYC (and thats saying a lot for a city with great coffee shops).I brought my 19 month old daughter and the staff were looking at us weird. Great coffee vibes, but they are definitely pretentious.
Best coffee shop in Midtown! Friendly staff and cool vibes. Great place for reading or working.
Ambiance is spot on. Not too loud. Theres a wine area just across the room.
Good coffee. Bad food selection. Pretty casual hotel lobby coffee shop, but if you bring in an outside bagel or food of any sort (to make up for their lack of selection), youll be reprimanded. We have a pretty strict policy. An odd thing to enforce, when options arent available inside.
Nice place to visit!
Coffee was really very good! Was in a little of a hurry and the barrista took their sweet time making one shot of espresso at a time. Ended up being late but the coffee made up for it. Really nice atmosphere. Wood benches and plants all over. A little on the cramped side though.
Generic offerings and average coffee quality. Cute interior attached to the hotel. But nothing special.
Delicious coffee
The vanilla latte was good but I wish the coffee was stronger. The seating area was nice. The servers were slow though. I stood in front of the cash register for 5 minutes before being served.
5/5 for ambiance and 5/5 for coffeeDefinitely recommend trying a special if you want something different.
Good coffee and the service was quick.
Hit or miss. Started making this the regular coffee spot on weekends as they have good espresso drinks, but the last few weeks the service has been really slow and unorganized. Orders not called out and orders missed altogether then blaming it on others taking it when we were watching what came out and ours wasn’t one of them. Nice people and good coffee, but slow and inconsistent enough to not be a reliable option.
Well for starters the no cash policy is not convenient. After that you get a horrible bitter burnt coffee that not even with oat milk has a chance of good taste. Sorry but you guys just don’t have respect for what your serving. On the good side the staff is great.
Decent coffee by NY standards, would skip the pastries though. Very nice hotel inside with nice atmosphere
Not a bad vibe! Lots of places to sit, friendly staff, great espresso. Can see it becoming pop
