On Oct.30 at 12.30 pm we came to order some Coffee and sándwich, the food is the best and Coffee, but my macchiato its wasnt I expect and I request to change to a regular Coffee and was a MAN with a really a BAd attitude he never try to listen me and saw my eyes, always refused what I said..but the young lady was completely different and she make the difference..great service from ALIANA she goes to our table and with her smile and attitude ask how she can help us to fix this inconvenience..Thanks Aliana we from California
If you’re into craft coffee, don’t come to this place. It’s run like a chain so you might as well go to Starbucks, which might still be better coffee. Cold brew and latte were both undrinkable. Both my husband and I tossed are drinks
I loved this coffee shop! This shop is my favorite place to hang and do my paperwork. I like the coziness and the ambiance of this place. It was so relaxing, quiet, and not too crowded. The coffee that they had was so delicious and not too strong. The cakes that they had were so delicious as well. The prices were very affordable. What a great coffee shop!
Beautiful spot, extremely clean and well designed. Coffee is ok, a little expensive but about average for the area. Service can be s little slow and its tedious that they dont accept cash.
Hot chocolate was poor. I went back up and asked batista for more chocolate and he was rude. Avocado toast was good. Overall would not return overpriced and underwhelmed!
Feckless and indifferent service of wildly overpriced breakfast. Avoid.
Aussie style cafe chain with very good coffee. The oatmeal and acai bowls are a nice quick breakfast or snack. This locations pumps out orders quick, which is very much appreciated during the morning rush. Theres a decent amount of seats but if often crowded on weekday mornings. You can use the Level Up or their app to pay and earn loyal rewards.
Great spot for coffee & breakfast! I visited this location on my first day in the city and came back here for the rest of the trip. Loved the cold brew!
If you are going to have a breakfast and not just hang out and do paperwork, be prepared to wait forever for your food. I ordered a salmon salad and had to throw out the salmon because it tasted disgusting and didnt want to wait forever for another salad so I ate the salad without the salmon.Coffee was the only good thing there .My wife needed to use the restroom and the only restroom they had wasnt open for use .I even dont know how you can run a place without the basic requirements for a functioning dine in place.
10$ for a salmon toast that looks like the photo below. Poached egg was hard boiled. Also, almond croissant was at least a couple of days old. 2 stars just for the coffee that was pretty good.
This review is specifically regarding Paulique. I ordered online, and when picking up my coffee there was a delay as a result of only one employee working, and boy was he working! He handled each customer with genuine sincerity and it was 100% evident that he was giving 110% despite how overwhelming he must have felt. There were some customers hovering around him and constantly interrupting him and yet, he remained calm and collected with each interaction. Even with my own, he was still so very sweet and apologized profusely for the delay - although it was not needed considering how hard he was working.I have to say Bluestone you have quite the employee and Paulique deserves a raise! I honestly didn’t mind the wait because as I stated it was clear he was moving as fast as humanly possible…my only complaint was that I was not allowed to give him a cash tip - one of which he obviously deserved.P.S. My apologies Paulique if I misspelled your name!
Chic coffee place in midtown. Aussie exotic coffees and teas :)
We were stuck trying to find a comfortable spot for coffee and a treat prior to seeing the Bolshoi Ballet performance of Sleeping Beauty (screening) at the AMC at 42nd off of 8th Ave. The pandemic has closed so many Starbucks that we gratefully found Bluetone. Id been to one on Amsterdam Ave and one at Hudson Yards. The coffee was just brewed, very good, and the chocolate chip cookie we split, fresh and tasty, but $16? The server was very friendly and helpful. Left her a $2 tip.
Ive just visited this place. Had a flat white and croissant. Coffee was balanced, not overroasted like in many other coffee spots. Croissant was fresh, not something exceptional, but you wouldnt be disappointed.
Omg the worst service Ive had in NY! Bad coffee, overpriced toast with minimal ingredients, my toast came with a hair in the box and the lady was willing to do nothing about. Big disappointment, would def not be back!
Kiosk and app only so the line is unbelievably long and slow moving, and prices rob you. Please go to any other coffee shop
I loved this coffee shop! This shop is my favorite place to hang and do my paperwork
Super yummy food but its more expensive then I thought, food 10/10 though Id give it a try!
Excellent coffee shop at 11 Times Square in the New York Times building. The coffee is great - particularly the cold brew. The nana toast is also DELICIOUS.This particular location used to have an odd convenience store type kiosk in the front, but that’s seems to have since closed down and is just a roped-off vacant space.Staff is fine - thought mostly apathetic.I came into this location at 6:30pm (for an 8:00pm closing time) and many stools are already overturned on tables, rope barricades removed, pastries all removed from the case, and all the mills to add to your cup of coffee are gone. I understand wanting to get things ready to close early, but this feels incredibly unwelcoming, especially this long before closing time.
There are comfy couches, chairs, and plants everywhere. The staves are nice and the atmosphere overall is wonderful. All of the staff were really accommodating and personable. Their coffee is good and one of a kind. This coffee shop nailed it when it comes to cozy vibes. I highly recommend this place to all coffee addicts.
Great food but slow service. We went with a party of about 15 - even contacted them before hand to tell them we were coming - and took us 45 minutes to get all our food.
During pre-Covid times of working in the city, I was a big fan of the Bluestone Lane Times Square location. Great, convenient location, friendly, courteous customer service, nice seating options, and tasty, fresh light food. I was so happy to see the store open again when I was in the city for work a few weeks ago. Had a great hot latte with oatmilk and cinnamon, kind, friendly customer service, and a nice place to sit to do a bit of work while I drank my coffee. Before departing the city for the day, I returned to the café and had a fresh and tasty “Clean and Lean” protein bowl with smoked salmon, spinach, feta cheese, a poached egg, and avocado. So good, and hit the spot! I also had a lemon curd Greek yogurt parfait, which was fresh and delicious! I will definitely be returning to the store during my upcoming work trips to the city. Thankful for the great coffee, fresh, tasty food, and kind, friendly customer service. Thanks to those who work there for making my experience at Bluestone Lane Times Square a tasty and enjoyable one!
[Review from 12/27/18 visit]Very pleased to have found this cafe! Its a great place to sit and take in the city around as you sip and munch away...The crew behind the counter were jovial and helpful in giving their input. We ordered the golden matcha latte (a lot of spices in there) along with an order of a regular latte, both with almond milk. The golden matcha was not too sweet. And the almond milk latte was perhaps the best Ive ever had... this of course will probably be determined by the type of almond milk used and your preference. If you like the version Peets Coffee offers, youll probably like this one too. The avocado toasts were fresh and tasty. Despite the generous portion of avocado used, it wasnt too heavy. If you can grab seating, you will be one of the lucky few. We got here about 11am so although it was busy, traffic earlier is supposed to be heavier. People tend to move fast here so you shouldnt have to wait too long. New York is awesome. Come to this spot, wait for a seat, enjoy your order and reflect for a bit as you gaze out the enormous windows.______________________UPDATE[Review from 12/31/18 visit]Weve been back every morning. It is on the pricey end. But for us were not interested in changing this good thing we found right next to our hotel. The avocado was a bit less on todays visit (as pictured) but delicious nonetheless. The almond croissant was fresh and just sweet enough. The bircher cup and and granola cup are small, nutty, tart, and great healthy options for breakfast. Also, I found out they use Milo and vegemite for some of the items they offer... if this is your sort of thing (definitely mine) 🇫🇯🇫🇯🇫🇯We love this place!
First off I would like to state that bluestone is definitely better than the average coffee available in New York, however that is more of a statement than it is a compliment.Despite being advertised as Australian inspired with Australian owners the standard was far below satisfactory. The coffee on offer was of lesser quality than Australian instant coffee - itd be a farce to even try to compare it to Australian below average espresso beverages. The long black I ordered had no depth, flavour nor crema. In fact it was outright bland and watery.
Bad service, mediocre coffee and just plain toastsI’m talking about the Time square spot
I think it is cool they have milk alternatives in such a busy/ crowded place. Very clean looking and sustainable materials, quiet and fancy. I thought my cold brew was alright and alright food.
Waited 28 minutes for a black coffee.
Food was good & great service!
Very slow and rude service.
25mins and still waiting for food
Convenient location and reasonable price for standard fare and ample seating. We ordered 6 drinks and they came out fast even though there was just one person running the counter and making coffee at the same time. If you have a sweet tooth the hot chocolate is not for you.
Very efficient service and tasty hot teas. I also got the jam toast... a yummy little snack. I loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere in an otherwise chaotic part of the city. If you need a break, some caffeine, and a bite, this is a lovely spot in the middle of everything!
Rude ppl
Would come here a lot before school would start! the staff ended up memorizing my order when i came in. their dark mocha is the absolute best :))
Really liked this place. Had an excellent cup of coffee, and added the avocado toast because the description was so enticing. It did NOT disappoint! Great design on the food box too! If youre staying at the Hilton Times Square .... this should be your morning go-to place. Why doesnt your business pop on Google?!?
Super friendly staff and opens earlier then other places. Just nothing organic served here or at least staff didn’t know. Otherwise 5 stars! Coffee is excellent
Great latte
Very good place to grab some breakfast and a coffee. Their banana toast and avocado toast are sooo good!! I’ll definitely go again when I’m back in New York.
This was recommended by some NYC natives and we totally agree. We were visiting from Melbourne AUST so we like to think we know coffee! This was the best cappuccino we had in the USA. The food was also good for lunch/brunch - and not huge portions ( in a good way). We didn’t know it has an Aussie connection at the time so we’re not biased! Also has a calm vibe next to the bustle of Times Sq.
Staff so sweet and welcoming. Tea refreshing and cold. Atmosphere quiet, calm, and inviting.
Chic coffee shop right in midtown with great coffee! The food there is also really good, but the coffee and espresso is the star of the menu. Dont discount the food though. The place can get crowded at times so I would recommend dont plan on sitting down during busy hours (noon-3) but the food comes out fast if youre looking for something quick in midtown. Theres also a convenience store attached to the place for nuts, snacks, drinks, etc.
Cute coffee spot. The decor reminds me of tiffany and company. Convenient location in the city but wifi isn’t too great!
Great avocado toast.Clean and elegant. The service is friendly. The prices are quite high.
Cute place. Good coffee. Decent menu of trendy but thoughtful bites. Nice location. Not too crowded. Great option for this neighborhood.
I regularly grab a coffee from this location on my way to work. The staff is always very pleasant. I also pick up bagged coffee from here so I can make it at home on the weekends.
Love love love this coffee place. Wonderful lattes and really awesome and healthy (!!!) variety of things to eat🤩🙌🏻👍🏻🤙🏻
A bright, freash and convenient coffee shop in Time Square across from the NY Times building. The coffee is top notch! You will always get greeted with a smile, they make you feel like royalty. It a no cash place so remember to bring a card.I do feel it might be a little too expensive for coffee for me personally, hence had to stick to 4 stars.
The coffee is ready good it is 👌 the best quality it makes me want to come back
GREAT customer service 👍. The cashier got my order of Golden Latte incorrect but when I received the wrong item, the barista immediately made my order with a friendly smile and an apology, and all was well. There is a bit of a wait in the morning rush (obviously), but their drinks are all tasty.
Even the kids loved this coffee shop, they have great pastries and make awesome hot chocolate and flat white coffee.
Great place only problem is they only take credit cards no cash
Nice cup of coffee just off a very busy street if you need some nice quiet time to clear your head from all the hustle of the city.
The page here and the app indicate that this location opens at 7a on Saturday. At 741a today (Saturday) the door was locked and I was rudely dismissed by the barista (who looked perfectly ready to serve coffee). This has happened to me once before - I reached out to Bluestone via the app and no one ever wrote me back. Either the hours are incorrect (in which case please get it together and update your info) or your employees are just not opening on time. Great coffee but really terrible customer service.
Service is a little surly but coffee was excellent along with zucchini bread. Doubt they make it here. Price was right
The shop is very convenient. Never a crowd, but i am there around 7:30-8:00 am. Very friendly stuff...
Australians figured out how to do coffee right, and this popular chain of coffee shops demonstrates it well. The food selection includes a nice set of Aussie breaky favorites from pastries to sandwiches. The coffee is the star; the expert baristas craft delicious brews pretty quickly, so theres little wait. The espresso is robust and flavor packed, so you always get a great cup. This location doesnt even seem to get too busy considering the highly trafficked area.
The entire staff is great. Everyone is genuinely nice and accommodating. The coffee is the best in the neighborhood--and I have tried them all!!go treat yourself. Tell them James sent you
This place was really clean and quiet. Courteous staff that was on top of the menu and what they had in stock/alternative options.
A really good and quiet coffee shop, nice place to relax within the always busy and noisy Times Square
Friendly staff, exceptional service, and the best coffee in the area!
Not the fastest service, but every cup is exquisitely brewed. Plus the avocado toast is amazing! Highly recommend the flat white.
Didnt care for it.Went here randomly after seeing it the day before, and returned the next day for coffee. They dont do Starbucks style drinks with syrups, just straight coffee and lattes without flavor (I was informed with an eye roll and a snotty attitude). Their coffee was OK, but EXTREMELY hot, and a touch too acidic for my taste. Their cafe was small and narrow, and they had plastic stools to sit on at the tables, instead of chairs (because, apparently they want to be more like a street cafe in Vietnam?). Overall, the coffee once it cooled down was worse than the plain coffee I sometimes order from Starbucks, but they charge the same. As I said, I didnt care for it. Your mileage may vary.
Nice place to go for coffee. I had a chai latte and my friend had an iced latte with carrot cake Bundt. They were yummy!
Quick stop. Surprisingly not too busy for midtown.
Good coffee, nice sitting places, free wifi.
Excellent coffee. The avocado toast was good but too expensive. I wouldnt take again for that price
Fantastic little place across from Port Authority. Great latte and super good Lox. Will be stopping there every time Im at Port Auth.
Great service, fast internet, quiet place ang strong coffee. They have many non dairy milk options
Nothing to do with specialty cofee shop that i was looking for. I really dont understand why people rated bluestone so high- is a cold, unfriendly place and staff, just to grab something in your way to the office, coffee and food not great at all- a sort of starbucks but even worse.
Great espresso! Flat White was perfect! Will definitely be back.
Great new place for coffee, tucked away in a hidden corner near Times Square.
