Randomly walked by and stopped by for a bite and coffee. Their decaf coffee was pretty much best decaf coffee in a long time. Their vegan donut was also pretty good. Though the chocolate croissant my sister got was terrible. I would mot recommend it. Quiet and nice cafe with outside seating as well. Perfect for coffee rest

Amazing Must Try for any Coffee Lover

I first learned what a flat white was when I took a trip to Australia back in 2000. I loved them from the first sip. Then I came back home and couldnt find them anywhere Starbucks introduced them a few years ago but they are nothing like the real ones. Starbucks baristas cant get the foam consistency correct This place knows what they are doing. Their flat whites are silky smooth.

Good pastries, decent coffees, but the place has surprisingly few seats. Their entire upper floor is employees only for some reason, and the free WiFi is obnoxious in how much data they want to collect about you. The amount of natural light is nice.

Great spot near NYU to grab coffee. It’s a gorgeous space and the coffee is consistently good. A nice spot to meet too as they have expanded their seating area recently.

Could not stay due to awful detergent chemical smell in store. Also all hard stools in store. not a pleasant sit-down place to enjoy coffee and pastries.

Friendly staff and a good selection of beverages. More than just a coffee shop. Some interesting drinks and tea. I tried the beet latte and still not sure what to make of it.

I have been to other Bluestone Lane NYC but Cafe style with table services. :) This Bluestone spot at Astor Place is a quick grab and go coffee shop instead. But also have high ceilings with plenty spaces to sit down. The shop entrance is on 4th Ave, with a lovely view facing Astor Place Park. FYI - this is a totally cash free coffee shop!

I had such an amazing experience, staffs were super friendly to me and the food was delicious. I am definitely going back! This is my new spot.

Really like this coffee shop that a friend of mine introduced me to. I am not an expert in coffee but coffee shops like this definitely make coffee that have a different unique taste to it compared to your other typical franchises. Its also a great place to grab a light brunch and have small talks with your friends as well as doing any work or studying. The one around Astor Pl. is particularly quiet and not busy when I went.

Their apple cider donut is very good, and they added a nice cacao to the top of my cappuccino which I was a fan of.Good place to sit and do work... great lighting/general ambiance.

Sometimes Im confused when it has to be me who keeps saying all the thank you and sorry even when a staff like this place gives me a mulish stone face for HER mis-serving my plate--I didnt need apologies or anything but wondered where the unnecessary anger comes from. I already tipped the suggested amount upfront and didnt even touch my plate. I would still mark 3 stars because I know that the lady doesnt represent this whole place. The avocado toast I got, for example, was definitely better than average and adequately priced. The cashier who took my order in the first place was very friendly and professional as well. To prevent any misunderstanding, the server does NOT appear in the pictures I am attaching.

LOVE this coffee shop. Staff is so friendly and the food and drinks are top quality. Their app is also amazing -- so easy to order ahead, no contact payment, and they have the best loyalty program (Ive received so many free or discounted drinks!).

With a clean interior, public restroom and ample seating this coffee stop is fine. Service is very slow and staff are chatty amongst each other not noticing customers waiting. With no one else in like it took almost 6 minutes for me to get an Americano (after it was ordered). But sometimes fine is good enough

Theyre playing Mariah Careys Honey so A+ for that. Its bright and spacious and perfect for studying. The affogato was delicious.

I like this place overall but it is certainly on the pricey end of the coffee spectrum. Their coffee is strong, They do have all milk options, and are great for gluten free treats. The new renovation has created a lot more space for coffee chats and WiFi work. Service is generally quick. If you’re feeling a sweet tooth situation, try the salted caramel and chocolate bar. Wow. You won’t be disappointed.

Went there for coffee on a winter day while walking by. We were pleasantly surprised by it. The cappuccino was awesome.

Better than starbucks, the flavor is mild. Pour over was my favorite, it does not leave residue flavor in the mouth like.

By far one of the nicest and welcoming coffee spots in manhattan. Kirk is always in a good mood and the whole team works their heart out to make sure the food and drink comes quickly while the place maintains it’s super chill vibe. It’s also ideal for a meeting place as it’s an effortlessly cool spot in a well connected location. Can’t recommend enough!

Great place, great coffee and oh boy is that avocado toast amazing!!! Plus the superb customer service I received from Regina was spectacular. Let’s just say bye bye Starbucks and hello blue stone.

The Breakfast all day bowl, and the Prosciutto toastie are good for light snacks.They have small and large options for their espresso beverages.Latte and capp are both good and has a dusting of cocoa as well.

I love the atmosphere and their coffee but can’t stand the service. They tend to take my coffee and meal away while I’m still eating/drinking, sometimes even without asking! I’d rather do that by myself. Very disappointing.

Very good coffee served in a somewhat antiseptic space that blends “trendy coffee shop” with “trendy California spa”. Quite a few gluten-free options along with the requisite avocado toast.

Horrible cappuccino, more so because it was so much better before. Scaldingly hot, burnt milk, no foam.Ordered their salmon toast as well. It came in a shape that represented a five-year-old’s effort.Even after finishing the toast I could not get to my cappuccino - it was still too hot to drink. Discarded it: it was that bad.The staff couldn’t figure out both items were to stay, even the tip did not bring it up to their attention.The place fell victim to the high-volume location. It does not matter how bad it is, there’ll be customers coming.I will do my best to avoid this place.

The cappuccinos are okay, maybe just a bit better than starbucks but not better than any smaller cafes. Just know that they put cocoa powder on it - as told by the barista there, its there norm. I think they have gotten a bit sloppy with their coffee and food.

Slow and incompetent employees. I waited aprox 10 minutes and then left without coffee because they were busy with doing Facebook on their phones. I do not give negative comments randomly.

The service has really gone down since I was last here 6 months ago. The staff changed; they’re still nice but the new baristas are less experienced and much, much slower. I waited 10-15 minutes just for a hot Milo because there was only one barista. Shame that this branch used to be my favourite; now i might have to go somewhere else.

Kinda pricey, but soothing vibes and friendly staff

I came here for 45 min to get some work done on my laptop but I’ve been unable to get WiFi here. The WiFi service they offer makes you go through what seems like an endless loop of logging in. I would not have paid 5 dollars for a latte if I knew the internet wouldn’t work. Those around me are using WiFi from the neighboring salad establishment. Disappointed!
