We made a quick stop for coffee and olive oil cake for take out here. The cake was moist and tasted pretty good.

Tried an espresso there. There’s a small outdoors seating area, and didn’t seem like there was seating indoors.Ok service, price, taste. Wouldn’t mind coming again and also didn’t get anything exceptional about it. Perhaps I needed to try something else on the menu.

So cozy. I feel like this is the embodiment of an east village cafe. It looks and feels like an institution but they’ve been around 15 years or so. Strong iced lattes! Beware they do not offer milk alternatives (while I respect this as it’s very European, but we are in NY after all) so lactose intolerant people beware.

I enjoyed my visit here. I had a hot chocolate with hazelnut bliss and a small muffin. Everything was great, including the service! You could tell this place was a local favorite hangout spot. It was quite busy, but we had many seating options, either inside or outside. We will be back for sure and recommend the place to my friends.

Pretentious is a good word to describe this place. Passive aggressive signs everywhere outside asking you to make sure your dog doesn’t bark and also don’t have your phone out while ordering or they get mad!$4 for this tiny coffee in a bodega cup, no thanks! Also the owner? or manager (older guy) wasn’t wearing a mask or gloves as he prepared everyone’s expensive coffee. Mud on 9th is a better option for coffee at a fair price without the snobbery.

Ive been wanting to try their coffee and olive oil cake for a while. This saturday i went and was disappointed. The was nothing specialabout the cortado, maybe it depends on the barista. The shop is lovely and good vibes, but the server was kinda snobbish. They dont offer decaf or non whole milk option. I fully respect if they think its the best way to make their coffee, but the problem is the coffee was very plain and tbh overpriced.The olive oil cake was good, goes well with any coffee. I like that the rim is very crisp, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

I came here to finish writing a letter and have a coffee in the sun. I understand that it is not okay to take up space for too long a time, but I had not even finished half of my two drinks and sat for less than 10mins when a person told me they do not allow the use of laptops. There were several empty tables still free and it was outdoors. No laptops in their outdoor area seems an obnoxious snobby rule since theyre getting all that space for pretty much nothing. Also, the sign that says so is absolutely tiny and easily missed, otherwise I would have found another place. I get it, no laptops can add to the flair of a place and that, during normal times, they apparently put a sign on tables indoors, but no such signs were on the outdoor tables and only after the person came did I find a tiny sign attached to a fence. Cant recommend-theres better coffee available in the area and nicer places (e.g. elsewhere cafe one street down on 6th).

This is my biggest nightmare coffee shop! The coffee and food were both delicious and relatively cheap. It has a very enjoyable and refreshing atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to answer all of my questions. The wi-fi connectivity are also fantastic. It has my highest recommendation!

The best coffee is served at this coffee shop, and the desserts are to die for! I love those flavors, and the food was perfect. If youre having breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it doesnt matter and you will enjoy it! The portions are big, and the whole thing is still very new. With college kids working in study groups and visitors dropping in for a bite, the place has a cool feel.

Although the Baristas are not super friendly, the coffee sure makes up for it. The baristas were not necessarily rude but were focused on making the coffee more than socializing with the customers.I asked a few questions regarding the coffee and pastries and they knew what they certainly knew their stuff.Americano - They made this with precision, making sure they added just the right amount of water.Earl Grey tea - [my favorite] they were very mechanical even with their tea.They had multiple pastry options that looked amazing and tasted delicious. No healthy options here. The place was busy with locals and the shop was huge with the capacity to accommodate multiple large parties.There is plenty of street parking available. Expect to spend about $10 for coffee and pastries per person.

The coffee and pastries that they had were so delicious. The barista was so friendly and pleasant to talk with. One thing that I got fascinated by this place. They had the most affordable and delicious coffee in town.

This is a great place to hang out. It has a spacious seating area and there is a no wifi / no laptop policy so you get to meet new people. Theres also an alcohol license so cocktails and beer are available. I would say its a nice middle ground between a coffeeshop and a bar.

The nicest, coziest and tidiest coffee shop in the city! Their coffee is the best, especially my favorite one, Espresso! And they have other menus, too, like pasta and pastries. And I tried their Bolognese, they were the best! They serve beers and wines, too. Perfect place to unwind and chill with your friends and partners.

The server is just an angry man who think he can talk rudly to clients to assert his little need of dominance daily especially when the place is crowded of early birds with dogs on Sunday morning. I returned my order and get reimbursed when he started to talk loud for social distancing and at the result made a mystake on my order and lied about it. I don’t even care if the coffee is great or not. I simply don’t accept when a supposedly cool reputation place involve impolite behaviors. “Impolite” is NOT cool at all... it’s the opposite. He should maybe try vitamins and consume less caffeine. Why not.

The plain black coffee, which I order everywhere, was as bland & mediocre as Dunkin Donuts, & a small cup cost...$4.

Decent coffee, attitude less so.During covid, they make the coffee, leave it by the register and expect you to guess when it’s ready from 10 ft away. They don’t call out and eventually when I got the coffee it was cold. I asked to warm it and was given a lecture how this was a big favor for me and how it’s my responsibility to make sure I get the coffee. With all due respect, it’s a f cup of coffee, respect your clientele.

Shop was fun. Not bad if you swing by for a quick cappuccino. I would avoid the pour over unless you like to add cream and sugar. Coffee was a bit over roasted for my taste on its own.

In some ways, Abraço is the opposite of what I want in a coffee shop, but somehow everything has come together to make it my favorite coffee shop, and one of my favorite places in general, in the city.Things I love about Abraço without any hesitation: The espresso is so tasty and consistent here!!! It’s not ashy at all, and it’s also not super light and bright (I enjoy super light espressos but I realize they aren’t for everyone) which I think makes it easy to drink for a variety of different palettes. The staff is all really nice! A man who I think is the owner has been working during most of my visits and he’s really good at engaging with customers while making their drinks. I haven’t tried any of the food other than the olive oil cake yet, but omg that cake is incredible. The music here is always really good, and they also get bonus points for having a clean customer bathroom.Things I love about Abraço after some initial hesitation: They’re cash only, which I thought would be a bother (and maybe it really is a bother to some) but they make up for it by having reallllly fair prices, especially given the quality of everything they serve. They have a no laptop rule, so they’re out of the running when I want to work on programming or whatever while I drink coffee, but that rule reduces the number of people who camp out for hours and is probably the reason why I’ve never traveled here from Harlem only to find that there’s no place for me to sit and enjoy my coffee. Abraço also seems to be pretty family friendly, which was jarring at first, but I’ve grown to like that tbh. The space is big enough to accommodate energetic children, and it’s nice being in a place where everyone isn’t totally disconnected from each other.

I pop up for my morning coffee, and I was surprised from the quality of the coffee!These guys do a really lovely coffee. Sometimes there is a queue and you have to wait for your drip coffee but worth a wait. Definitely recommending.
