I love this location! Super big and has a really good selection of clothes. Staff was super nice and I had no problems with security at all. I am white and skinny so I cant confirm or deny what the other reviews say but I had a very good experience at this store and would for sure go again!
Terrible experience. I wish I could give minus star if possible. I love this brand and shopped every month. Only this time this experience made me never come back again. It is only because the security guard doubt that I was a thief! Can you imagine that when I paid my stuff and still thinking about should I need to buy another dress and then the security guard asks to check my receipt and of course I showed him the receipt. But the awkward and coincidence thing is that I did not check my receipt and did not find that the cashier forgot to scan one of the product. The security guard’s attitude makes me feel that I did it deliberately. And I followed him to the front desk and he still argues that why this women(that is me) took extra dress when she(me again) paid only one. Excuse me? I felt so upset about the experience and wanted to return what i bought because I did not want to see them any more. The security guard asked me why I want to return? I said I am not happy with this customer experience. He said super loud. In front of other people: I KNOW WHY YOU WANT TO RETURN. YOU WANT TO STEAL IT!!! Excuse me? Are you a judge? Do I need to steal for a 16 dollar dress! The cashier just forgot to scan one of them. Do every customer need to check their receipt carefully after they paid already? We buy because we like the design and we do not check the receipt because it is cheap and do not need to count how many we bought. I want the apology and did not receive it from his heart. I Because he still thinks I intended to steal it (but not succeed to do it) even though the cashier explains that she makes the fault and forgot to scan the product. I understand that securitys work is probably busy but this is not the reason you judge and doubt i stealing when i did not and that bad words brought more harms that they sounds. Anyway, I will never come back anymore. Never! This is a dead experience. And the owner of BM, please do not harm your customers by setting that security, just put an electric machine and nice person. That will help you a lot!
I’ve been here a few times, always had a usually good experience. Today there was a security guard I’d never seen. As I was exiting after buying some jewelry, the security guard stopped me and asked to see my bag and my receipt. Randomly stopped and didn’t stop any of the White girls who had exited before. Several people were staring at me. I don’t care if I have a tote bag, so does every other person in their 20s in this store: don’t make people uncomfortable in this way. Don’t humiliate people of color who are giving you their money. Never coming back here.

I have been shopping at Brandy for years and have been at their locations on Broadway multiple times even before they relocated but I dont see myself returning here anytime soon. The cashiers at this store are really nice but as a POC, I feel uncomfortable as soon as I walk in because of the security guards; I am followed around the store every time I go in. I started noticing this upon entering the store one time and brushed it off but then it became even more apparent every time I came into the store after that. I get my receipts/bag checked (I dont even carry bigger bags or tote bags) but have NEVER noticed any non-POC person get theirs checked. I thought I was imagining it but after reading many similar reviews there is clearly a serious profiling issue going on.
If you really want to get things from BM, i advise you buy online. A lot of the workers were kind but there was these girls at the register totally were gossiping and putting this poor girl down who they where trash talking! and the security guards where pretty harsh on some people.
I love Brandy and a good 85% of my wardrobe is their stuff, but every time I come in here when I wear short sleeves I get followed by security regardless of what kind of bag I’m carrying, and I KNOW it’s because I have a lot of tattoos. What is this, 1950? Security followed me around the store until I finally picked up the pair of earrings I came for and purposefully held them out away from my bag and walked around. The rest of the staff, however, are always polite. Work on your security detail and do better than this. No one feels comfortable shopping when they’re being watched like that.

They have nice clothes but like on one size-? my mom and brother just wanted to get out at that point cause they started seeing a lot of skinny people and the clothes were rlly small and in my opinion that store is basically telling teen girls that they don’t have the body to fit in those clothes or that u have to be skinny and stuff
A very wide selection of clothing, it can be somewhat disorganized. The staff can be allusive, so you can be somewhat on your own shopping. The security guard can be a bit aggressive.
Never again i got a dirty look from one the cashier they even forgot to put a ring that my cousin brought and payed for it never got the ring👎
The customer service is so bad. I was accused of stealing shorts. It was also hot out so I had a hoodie in my bag that I payed for online over a month ago then the security guard took it. Then the shorts I bought I was handed the wrong receipt and they insisted the computers were always correct while three of the computers were down. But when I was trying to defend myself I was just called a liar while they didn’t want to look through the cameras because it was and I quote “to much work.”
We like that the clothes are made in Europe. Good stuff for a fair price.

Ive never had a bad experience at this location! They always have super cute stuff for a pretty good price. The workers are all super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is how crowded the store can be. I know there is a line outside to limit customers, but inside it is nearly impossible to keep a safe social distance from others once you have been let in. I have had to walk out of here a couple of times because I was getting pushed around and WAY to close to other people in there. But other than that, everything else is perfect! I usually never walk out of here empty handed.

These employees have the biggest attitude. Also security are extremely aggressive for no reason. One day one of those security guards are going to cross the line and get sued.
I go to this store so much and everytime i do i swear they hire new people all the time. Now these girls are clearly new me and my friend come in because there was skirt i was dying to get. And this little worker instead of asking us if we need help she watches us just follows us to the area to grab the skirt and watches us like a hawk fake fixing clothes. My experience was terrible. he accused me and my friends of stealing when we had the receipt on us. than he proceeds to tell us to be quiet when we were defending ourselves. than he touched my friends stuff while doing bag check. after we went out he ran after us pointing his whole finger at our faces and started screaming at us. my friend was terrified for her life. please get this guy fired. this was on dec 10th

My experience was ok. the clothes are kinda over priced and some of the workers are nice there. except one, she was rude to my friend. my friend wanted to know the price of her things and then after the worker told her, the worker started scanning her things after my friend told her that she ONLY wanted to know the price of the items. then once my friend told the worker that she was only looking, the worker rolled her eyes. rude, right. once my friend and i wanted to pay, we got two stickers each. now after we paid for the other things and we LEFT the stores, we then realized the worker didn’t even put our stickers in the bag. keep in mind me and my friend paid 15 minutes before me. i don’t think that was a coincidence at all. why would she forget it both times? however another worker was very sweet to us when we asked if the dressing rooms were open (they weren’t). she honestly seemed like the nicest worker there.
Horrible shopping here. Security follows you everywhere. Literally in front of your face. You can’t even shop in peace. Staff was okay, but wouldn’t come back to shop here.
Easy to see right off of Broadway servicing SoHo and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the street is available, but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Moderately clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Clothing is made for the slender teen. We will most likely be going back.

SIMPLY HORRIFIC!!! I went here with my friend who was accused of stealing by the two guards with absolutely no reasonable suspicion. I myself was watched aggressively and incessantly by the power-crazed guards as soon as I entered the store, even though I am a boy and therefore had no reason to shop, let alone steal! If that weren’t enough, one of the guards even went to far as to SHOVE my friend away from the door, even after having given back the “stolen” shirt, which wasn’t stolen at all! Stay away!
The security guards here are so aggressive. I’ve been here multiple times and they literally always stop me to ask for my receipt. They follow me around the store every single time, no matter if I’m carrying a tote bag or a tiny little purse. It’s gotten so bad that I actually go out of my way to hold whatever I’m buying out dramatically in front of me to ensure that it’s always in clear view for the guards.
My friend and I visited this place yesterday and had an interesting visit. We were going in expecting to see a lot of nice clothes similar to the website but when we walked in we were stunned because of how unorganized the store was. We walked around confused most of the time we were there. Clothing displayed on the EXTREMELY unrealistically shaped mannequins weren’t anywhere near the display, some shirts were hung up really high and there were no employees to help you acquire the clothing (my friend literally had to climb the ladder on the wall to get the clothes for me), most importantly the clothes are so overpriced. Tiny plain shirts you could find at a Children’s place for $8 was $18 and above. Also don’t walk into this store expecting to see the same clothing you online.
Outdated styles for 2020. They’ve been selling similar stuff for years. You could easily find those on even amazon at a normal price. Rude staff that reminds me of cliche American teenage movies.
The cashiers and other workers here are really sweet but the security is terrible. I’ve been here maybe 10 times at most and I’ve been bag checked 2-3 times by the same guy. I am not opposed to bag checks because I understand why the store does them but what does annoy me is how he will only bag check me and my friends and the white girls behind me will have their bags open and he will smile at them and let them leave peacefully. Keep in mind my friends and I are all asian americans. This hasn’t only happened to me but to my other asian friends who go to the store on their own without me as well. Some of you may be thinking, maybe you guys were honestly being suspicious, fine but even after we are cleared we are treated with the same cold demeanor and are not apologized to. I simply don’t recommend coming here.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I was shoved by a security guard when trying to leave and then accused of stealing, AFTER CHECKING MY RECEIPTS, to the point of me sobbing in the middle of the store. the two security guards were following me the whole time, so I dont understand why they were convinced I stole. THEY finally realized I didnt steal and rudely walked me out of the store. Im debating taking legal steps because the two security guards shoved and pushed me. never. ever. shop here. unless you want to be traumatized.

I purchased 3 shirts and 2 accessories. Mind you I live pretty far. When I got home I wanted to show someone what I got and, surprise, I don’t find my accessories. I called them and the worker said “oh it happens a lot.” I couldn’t go back to get them cuz I live super far. So they said she would ship them over I just have to email her my information and my receipt. The worker also said that it would take a couple of days. For all I know they probably won’t ship it.
Do NOT shop this place online.. they are the worst.. NO customer service, they never answer the phone. My package never arrived and I cannot get through to them to initiate a claim with UPS. I’m basically out 180$. If you call a store they won’t help either. Good luck!!
Clothes: beyond cute. the store is always tidy and organized. the security are very intimidating but I had no problems with them. the cashier was very nice and polite, although none of the employees seem very intent on helping customers apart from checkout. the fitting room employee was rude.
I don’t understand this store, but my 14 year old daughter was in heaven. She loved the lights, decor and of course the clothes. Personally not a fan and seemed pricey to me but good service, helpful staff and quick moving lines at a very busy time.

Many people talk about having a bad experience there but I went today and it was a very nice store. The employees were nice and helpful. I had no problem with the security and the place was neat and organized. The two girls by the dressing rooms were helpful and kind to me and my mom, and the cashiers was nice and one of them complimented me and my mom. The clothing is a little bit pricey but I had a nice experience. (and yes, im a poc)
Bad attitude
The store was relatively packed and everything seemed to be going well until i was at the cash register. the girl, (safiya) who was packing everything up for me and checking all my things out was so disrespectful. i had about 7 items but it took so long for her to check me out because she kept checking her phone and chatting with her coworker friends. Im not sure what the company policy is about going on phones during the shift but it just seemed like she was there to have fun and talk to her friends.
I was super excited to visit the Brandy Melville store in New York, but I ended up being super disappointed. When entering the changing rooms, the employees gave me a look and had trouble with the right amount of clothes I was carrying, which caused them to give me a rude attitude - something an employee should never have.. When speaking of the clothes, this Brandy Melville just has the same shirt displayed 8 times all over the store - I can say that my local Brandy store is way better than this one.
Workers there are so rude they accused my sister of stealing something when she did no such thing. The workers kept on giving her dirty looks for no reason in particular. One worker who will not be named bumped into my sister rudely and did not say excuse me, that worker later on accused my sister of stealing which was totally uncalled for. I am never returning there again and neither is my sister. I do not recommend this place at all.

My wife and daughter went to New York for sight seeing and for Brandy Melville. They shopped at 2 of the Brandy Melville stores and liked the Broadway stores selection the best. Unfortunately one of the sweat pants had some small holes in it. We did not notice the holes until they were back in Chicago. I called the store and spoke to Izzy and she was very accommodating. She told me she would ship us a new pair of sweats and I assumed she would email me a return label. I never received a return label, but within 3 days we had a new pair of sweats. I called the store to thank them and to see if they were sending a return tag. This time I spoke to Vivian, who informed me she was the one who shipped us the replacement sweats. I asked about the return tag and she told me to keep the damaged sweats. All I have to say is their customer service is fantastic! My daughter loves her new Brandy Melville outfits too. Izzy and Vivian made what could have been a bad experience into a great one. Thank you ladies!
This store is awful. The clothing is really fashionable and I really liked the layout. However, the customer service is terrible. All of the workers were extremely rude and unwilling to help. We arrived at the store at 7:45, and it wasn’t supposed to close until 8. Which we were made very, very aware of considering the man at the door practically wouldn’t let us in and after finally agreeing told us we needed to “hurry up, we’re closing”. Additionally, in the fitting room the attendant gave us a truly rude stare, and said “we close at 8”. Finally as we were checking out, the cashier barely made eye contact and continued on in a conversation with another worker. As if all of this wasn’t bad enough as we were leaving at 8:55. There was a woman and her daughter, and the doormen refused to let them in the door. He was physically holding it closed and only opened it to let us out. The woman was almost begging him to let them in because they had traveled all day to see the store and would be heart broken not be see it. We informed them that they wouldn’t have a great experience considering that the attitudes of the workers didn’t improve in the store. The man began to yell in our faces-still holding the door closed- asking who was rude and basically saying it was our fault if they were rude because they were closing so soon. This was a truly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this shop to anyone.
My kids love Brandy Melville. I called the store ahead of time and asked if they had a specific item in the allegedly Flagship store so I could get it right away and not wait for shipping. They said we should. great! So I went all the way to the store in the rain and the cold and surprise they didnt have it. They didnt apologize, had 0 interest in helping me and every question I asked the answer was I dont know and, by their expressions, didnt care. When I asked if they sold an item online so I wouldnt get stuck again they said they didnt know and the woman rolled her eyes when I asked if she could please check. The inventory was poor as well. Brandy Melville is a cute, reasonably priced brand. But shop online. Coming to the store is a waste of time.

Most of the reviews list this store as either amazing or the worst thing ever. My personal experience: the security are very intimidating but I had no problems with them. The cashier was very nice and polite, although none of the employees seem very intent on helping customers apart from checkout.
As a teen it is definitely one of my favourite shops!! i keep pointing out cool shops and every time it ends up being brandy. definitely a good place to shop for teen! but it is one size fits all so it may not work for everyone
This location is alright. None of the workers ask if you need help or even care. The security guards keep following me around the store assuming that I’m stealing something. I was the only one at the cash register and the lady who worked there was nice. But another worker next to her was doing something else behind the counter and I could see her staring at me from the corner of my eyes and giving me a weird look. I look at her and she quickly turns away.
If this rating was just in terms of style and clothing, I would give it a 6/5 stars! Im so disappointed to give Brandy a 3-star rating (as I love their clothes), but I cant lie. The staff there arent the sharpest tools in the shed and are extremely rude. Idk if its just this location, but PLEASE GET BETTER STAFF!!! :)
There’s a lot of bad reviews about the staff in this brandy not being friendly but I actually had a good experience there. When I was walking around in the store an employee complimented me on my outfit and asked for my insta. I told her I wasn’t from around and she asked me how my trip was going. My mom later checked out and told me the cashier was really nice. I totally get how people aren’t happy with the ‘one size fits all’. After all I just go there because they sell really cute clothes..
The t-shirts here feel really soft however, I do not believe that a plain white t-shirt should cost $20+ bucks. Some tanks for about $15 which is okay but most of their clothes do not have different sizes. Only one size.

After reading previous reviews I was skeptical, the staff were all very helpful, nice, and talkative. The clothing is all great quality and gets a bad rap for being one size, many people dont like this but its one size not one size fits all. The staff were talkative and our cashier ran out side to give us a forgotten bracelet we left at the counter. The store gets very crowded and the poor workers get so much clothing to resort from fitting rooms! I loved this store and cant wait to come again!

Horrible services and staffs are so rude that they don’t want to serve and help customers. All they want to do is make customers uncomfortable and have bad shopping experiences. Ex: suspect you stealing sth without any legit reason! I am sorry that you have to do this customer facing job but failed to do it well during this holiday season, that is so sad to spread unkind among people in this world. If the brand plan to choose these workers to show its brand spirit then I am going to be very disappointed about it!
Theres actually two locations for this store within one mile radius. The staffs are nice when you ask them for help. yes, the clothing are one size fits all, but then its understandable that its cater mostly to teens and college students. It is always packed in the store, but there are many fitting rooms so less time to wait in line perhaps. The clothes does pile after washing, so I hand wash mine; and the black/red dyes of clothing does come off so I hand wash them separately and last.
I’ve been to brandy Melville stores back in California, but I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service. The whole time, all of the employees were just standing in one group chatting, not helping any of the customers. I went to the checkout and was buying a belt that I’ve wanted for quite a long time. The girl seemed very bothered with me even though I wasn’t doing anything. She told me the belt was final purchase and I was like all right. After coming back to my hotel room, I realized that the belt wasn’t even in the bag. I’m just visiting New York so there was no way i could have gone back to the store at this point. I contacted customer service but they never called me back. I love brandy clothes but they need to hire some girls who actually care about doing their job right.
The best store in NYC. But one of the staffs is the worst staff. She’s a black girl with the hair bandana thing. She thought I stole one piece of cloth because she didn’t see the other staff hung it up and the way she looks at me was like still didn’t believe it. Non of her acting makes me feel like being respected. Honestly, wouldn’t wanna go here only due to this reason.
I’ve been shopping at brandy for years...ONLINE. The single reason? TERRRIBLE EMPLOYEES. I genuinely don’t understand why a complaint that’s been made by hundreds of customers still has yet to be addressed. The employees are straight up rude and very obviously don’t care about the customer or the responsibilities of their job. Also, if your store states everywhere that it closes at 9, it should close at 9. Not 8. But who knows, maybe the employees just wanted to slack off even more. Won’t ever be shopping here again after this experience, online or in store. I’d rather put my money into a store I feel valued in as a customer.

I was leaving the store and the security guard accused me and my friends of stealing a headband. We showed him there was nothing in our sweatshirts and we didn’t have any bags, so he told us to show him where we put it. We showed him where we put it. I felt like I was being verbally assaulted. He said we stole something when we didn’t. I didn’t like how I was accused when I wasn’t. Hate this brandy. The staff also called me dumb when I went into the wrong fitting room. Please get better staff. Just disappointed in this store.
The clothes there are sooo cute. My daughter bought 3 shirts, one pair of sweatpants, a sweater and a pair of socks. All the clothing is soft and comfortable. The only thing i would change is the one size fits all. The employees were very nice.
Recently I went into brandy Melville and was accused of stealing a sweatshirt that I was wearing that I bought in December at a different store. It was obviously worn and there was no reason to believe I had stolen it considering I had even walked in wearing it. The saleswoman there was mean and demeaning to me and accused me of stealing the sweatshirt and wouldn’t let me leave. When I came back with my father right as the store was closing she locked me out and refused to let my father speak to a manager. In addition she and the other salespeople laughed at me from behind the closed door. This was a very upsetting experience for me (this was at the location at the corner of spring and broadway). The salespeople were unprofessional, mean, demeaning, and caused me incredible stress and upset. This is the last time I would ever shop at a store that treats its customers so poorly.

Visited this location on 1/10/2020 and the employee running the dressing room (hoodie, leggings, Ugg’s, hoop earrings) was EXTREMELY rude to my sister and her friend .... my sisters friend finished trying on her items and wanted to wait at my sisters changing room door and the girl very rudely yelled at her to “go sit down” ... nasty attitude the whole time ... really disappointing as we expected much better customer service and the blonde with her was much friendlier

Madison, the manager, knew there had been difficulty reaching Customer Service and spent a lot of time finding a way to replace a gift card which had never arrived.Thanks Madison. The Brandy Melville company is very fortunate to have you on its staff and so is my granddaughter who finally has her Gift Card.
Very cute teen clothes. The lines were long for the dressing room and the checkout. It was worth it.

To express my utter disgust and disappointment, this shop has the worst customer service. The shop attendant (the same extremely rude girl who was serving in the change room) and the security guard were implying that I stole their clothes and demanded to check my receipts and my shopping bag. I had to literally take every item out of my bag and showed all of my purchases PIECE BY PIECE to proof that I did NOT steal anything. Never again will I visit this shop. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
I love the clothes because theyre soft and comfortable and they fit me really well. But the one size fits all is not okay, and it shows that thin privilege is everywhere. The service isnt amazing either. Also why are there no Woc that model on their website?
