Let me start off with saying that Ladurée Soho is GORGEOUS. Every room is stunning and its my exact aesthetic and vibe so I honestly just want to move in and live there or hire their interior decorator. My friend and I had afternoon tea in their courtyard for my birthday and I want to make it a yearly tradition. Their tea and sandwiches were delicious but, of course, the real standouts were the dessert pastries and macarons. It was all melt in your mouth delectable. I couldnt resist buying a bunch of macarons before leaving either. This is genuinely one of my favorite spots in a city full of gorgeous and delicious places to eat. If you love France, beautiful places, and delicious desserts then you should absolutely stop by!
Fancy french restaurant experience! The whole restaurant makes you feel like youre literally at a restaurant in France. For our group the some of the food was amazing some were just okay. The desserts, especially the macaroons are amazing and everyone should try them! When we visited the temperatures had suddenly dropped and the restaurant was doing everything to ensure the customers were comfortable, they were even providing blanket/throws. Which was truly commendable! All in all the experience of dining at this restaurant is pretty memorable!
I have had dessert to go and dinner at the location on separate occasions. The pastries were divine and the dinner food was alright (I just wasn’t hungry enough that night and not a huge fan of cooked fish). The service and ambiance of the outdoor dining area was lovely. My favorite pastry was the Saint Honoré.
My friend and I had brunch here on a weekend. Food is fresh and tasty. Couldn’t figure out how they cook the eggs, seems mass produced (in batches) to me, but the result is perfect shape, color. We also ordered some macaroons since this is what they are known for. All the flavors we ordered were really good except orange blossom, the verdict was “tasted like perfume” 😬😅Decor and details are really pretty, many people take photos/videos for Instagram. Entrance of the restaurant is on Thompson St.
The place is really nice inside. They make great desserts and food; great place for a first date. The only downside besides the cost is the wait time to get your check. We waited longer to get our check than being seated, eating, and talking. Just that waiting time alone would discourage me from coming back. We asked multiple times but they never brought it. It wasnt that busy either. Other than that, food and deserts were great!
Really holds up to the original in regards to the food. Delicious food and macaroons as always. Went with a group of friends and arrived on time, my friends were a bit late but they were gracious enough to keep our reservation. I however, found it quite strange that the server asked us to move the sugar holder to place an order when we were ready(I have never experienced this in any part of the world) and that he would hand us our plates and not pick them up from the table. Maybe it’s an American thing. Also got my order of macaroons wrong. But either way had a great time because of my company and the food. Maybe I recommend not to go on a weekend or when their too busy, or order to go.
This is a French style bakery/restaurant chain. The design is very authentic and unique. They have a large variety of pastries and desserts, and many different types of macaroons which they get delivered from France. We tried some of their macaroons, al of which were pretty good (not necessarily the best I’ve had, but definitely worth trying because they are delicious).
Sorry, the food was not good :/ it may look nice but the taste doesn’t matchI’m not sure a savory brunch dish was the right choice because honestly my eggs Benedict were pretty gross......sure it looked lovely but the taste was off. My latte was also watery, burnt tasting, and the milk was not properly steamed. The best part about my meal was the croissant, but even that wasn’t as good as I expected.I am only giving it 2 stars because of the setting, ambiance, and servers/staff. They did sub avocado in my Benedict for free to make it vegetarian, which I appreciated. Come to enjoy the surroundings, not the food.(Oh and the seats inside need to be washed, they were really stained & dirty- kind of surprising)
Brunch at the outdoor patio was lovely!! They did a great job with heat lamps and and such to make it warm in the winter months. Everything here looks so cute and classy. My cappuccino was really good and my French toast was amazing. It even had ice cream on it?! Wow. Presentation and quality of the food were excellent, staff were very friendly, the ambiance is so nice. I’ll be back!!
Laduree on Broadway is a full fledged cafe, we went there for brunch and it did not disappoint us even one bit. It’s has a fancy yet simplistic vibe and the food is out of this world. You must try the chocolate hazelnut pancake and rose croissant, two of my favorites. There is no other place where you can get rose croissant like this. Book in advance to eliminate the wait time, or go first thing in the morning, you will get a table easily.
I really wanted to try professionally made macarons from this place. I make them myself and they are not easy. The construction of the meringue cookie was exceptional. You could barely pick them out of the box without denting the delicate exterior. The consistency of the cookie was just right. The fillings were just ok however. I have had much better tasting ones but not better constructed ones. DO NOT get the rose water one. Tastes like you are taking a drink from your bath water. The service also was not very friendly.
The food is delicious and the garden is magical. Had a scrumptious lunch there with friends today. George was our server and he was so attentive and wonderful that he made the experience even better. If you go to this restaurant definitely ask for George. He’s amazing!
Great outdoor cafe, all the male servers were excellent. One of the female server was stressed out. Macaroons and pastries on that day were a little dry. Maybe that day cause it usually tasted great. I did try Angelina Paris store just opened 2 months ago at Broadway, the macaroons were more moist and somehow tasted better.
I’ve always loved the Ladurée garden.. it’s a peaceful escape to Europe in the middle of the city. I heard they recently added vegan options and was curious to see if it lived up to the hype. Melrose salad was good, but the real highlight was the Millefeuille. We had no clue what to expect and were so delighted with the dessert. Highly recommend trying this over the vegan macaroons.
Worst experience. Unhelpful staff, forgot to give me my order sent me outside in cold weather with lots of open seating. Poor quality food and service. Go to Dominique Ansel for a better quality experience.
You will find lots of food options to choose from. For breakfast, I recommend the spinach omelet or French toast. For lunch, the croque madame, and for dinner, the pastry with mushroom sauce is fantastic. Make sure to save room for a wide range of tea options and macaroons. I recommend both the rose or strawberry sugar-frosted flavors.
We started with an espresso and an Americano. The foam and extra pour came in real silver mugs. It was a rich and deeply tasty cup of espresso. All I needed was a cigarette but no go in New York City restaurants.Yet it felt like I was in the heart of Paris, tucked into a nice courtyard in an alley. The décor is spotless to the time. Soft blue curtains, grandeur chairs, amazingly beautiful greenery that starts with the trees in the courtyard and end with the flowers growing around and over the bar. There’s a little European style fountain that trickling water. We order the Quiche Lorraine that comes with fries and salad and the white omelette which just comes with salad. The fries are decadent, superb little things that are crunchy and salty. The quiche though, that thing is an artery bomb. Creamy egg filling. Generous chunks of bacon in every bite. A flaky, butter crust is my favorite part. Worth every crumb. The white omelette is filled with goat cheese and spinach. Its simplicity hides nothing. The ingredients are fresh and executed perfectly. While not nearly as luxurious, it’s good clean food.We finish with a strawberry croissant that was a crispy, flakey shell with a soft, airy, and chewy center. Extremely delicious.Amazing meal. Amazing atmosphere. Kind of expensive, but worth what you pay.
Called 4 days in advance to book an outdoor table for Hub’s birthday. They didn’t have it when I get there. Hostess didn’t even apologize. I showed her the number I called and it’s the right number but I don’t remember who I spoke to. She took us inside for an indoor table, which it’s just as nice to be honest but not the same vibe. I was unhappy for the fact she didn’t apologize for their mistake and make it looks like I made it up. Gregory, the sweet waiter saw that and ask me when he sat us down, he went straight out to straighten it In a matter of 2 mins, we got an outdoor table. Service from waiters and busboys were excellent. Nice decor and ambient. Merci!(This was the second time we went. The first time was also a not so friendly hostess. )
It’s a beautiful restaurant. I recommend sitting outside. Waitstaff are friendly and accommodating. Food is average, but the pastries are amazing. I’d recommend only going for pastries and drinks, but either way it’s a nice experience for an afternoon or evening get together.
Phenomenal french cafe and bakery. We were here for a bridal shower in the courtyard and they made it so incredibly special. We took up two full tables in the center while regular lunch patrons ate around us - I was pleasantly surprised that we didnt even notice them. Our staff was incredibly attentive - Gregory was on top of every order, remembered our drinks, and was probably one of the best servers Ive ever had. The woman helping us out, whose name I wish Id gotten, seemed to be a head hostess or on-site party planner/party manager. She helped us keep an eye out for the bride to surprise her, worked with the hostesses throughout the day, and most importantly made sure our guests with allergies and gluten sensitivities were well-fed while staying safe. Such a beautiful day at an exceptional place that I definitely recommend and will visit in the future.
If you are craving yummy macarons then look no further!! They have about 18 flavors to choose from and each one is so good! You can’t go wrong with the basic vanilla and chocolate but I highly recommend the orange blossoms or cherry blossoms or strawberry candy or s’mores or raspberry! So many to choose from. Yes it’s a bit pricey but they are excellent quality ingredients. There are seating in the back garden and some seating in the front. This location is a lot better than the Upper East side location. Definitely more space! Check this place out!
If it wasnt so tasty I would have giving less stars becease of the service attitude if the customer are loving the product I can be condescending.Everything we choose was very good except from the croissant.
Came for brunch and sat in the courtyard. Absolutely beautiful setting and very good quality food and drinks. Would absolutely return again.
Laduree is always a wonderful experience. It was so nice to return for my birthday for a relaxed brunch. Of course COVID precautions are still in place and only outdoor seating is available, but there are faux fur coverings on the chairs as well as electric fireplaces and heaters for comfort. Service and food was phenomenal as always. As a plus our dog was with us and we were able to order some chicken for him and he gave it an A+ for service too!
Beautiful outside area. Unfortunately, the service was very poor.I went there on Friday night, around 8:45 Pm. They werent busy. Everyone was super friendly and nice, but very distracted and not giving attention to the guests.I had to look for the server for an extra glass for my friend who arrived later. The apps came without side plates. I also had to ask, and they sent the Entree and forgot the send the silverware. Not sure if Id come back, I sent a guest there the night before because I walked by and found it very pretty. I hope my guest didnt have the same experience I had.
Great place & delicious desserts 🥰
Lovely dessert and coffeeLoved the rose croissant
Beautiful place, it’s backyard is so cozy. Food is delicious too. And the tableware is incredibly cute.
Laduree is always a delight! I love going there for lunch and/or dessert. When in NYC last night felt like going over for dessert. The online app said there was no space for three. Being in the neighborhood, my son, a friend and I decided to walk over and fortunately were able to get a table for three for dessert even though it was dinner time. They were extremely accommodating and followed through on our request to get us a table in the covered area in their outside patio. The rain and the pretty patio view with the string lights made for a perfect ambiance. Of course sipping cappuccino and munching on delicious macaroons and the to die for ispahan with my son and childhood friend was lovely beyond words. Thank you Soho Laduree for another wonderful memory!
Really love their Marie Antoinette macaroon. Its very creative and has very strong tea flavor in. And of course my favorite is still the rose and lavender macaroon. Im glad they have added additional seats outside of the shop.
Just... wow. They were busy on a Monday and seemed to be a little short staffed, but as we were not in a rush, it didn’t really matter. The portions were just right, and the Eggs Benedict were perfection. The blackcurrant violet macaron was also a standout. The garden was lovely and all the servers were sweet without being unprofessional or overbearing. Already looking forward to my next visit.
A must visit if you are in NYC. Delicious french desserts. I wish if I stopped by again before leaving 😢 the lady at the cashier was very friendly.
The outdoor garden is beautiful, and of course the french toast
Extremely luxurious Parisian style restaurant with an absolutely BEAUTIFUL patio/outdoor seating area. Food was decent but expensive for what it is, however, I see it as a premium for the environment. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant! My glass of water was always full. I ordered the Gourmand Avocado Toast which consists of smoked salmon, an egg, and mashed avocado, all on top of a lightly toasted croissant. The egg was just right--runny yolk without being too undercooked. I also ordered a scoop of Rose ice cream which I was pleasantly surprised with because it actually tastes like rose, and not overly sugary sweet.Overall, the food was decent, but honestly my primary reason for if/when I come again would be just to enjoy their stunning outside patio area rather for the food alone.
Love the pastries here. Very complex and delicate. Recommend the Sucre Plaisir, Paris breast and Eclair! Pictures provided incase you were wondering what their selection are right now.
Fun. My sister wanted to come here hence the whole family went. Not my usual cup of tea but it was definitely fun “pretending”. The food was good, nice drinks however the service could use some work. Overall, the decor and vibe is whimsical
Good pastries
A place that girls love.
Thanks to Sara at Laduree Soho for an exceptional girls afternoon out! My 9-year-old daughter and her best friend had the most amazing first taste of Laduree macaroons while I enjoyed a lovely cocktail. We cannot wait until our next visit!
If you have ever been to any Laduree in Europe, you’ll be disappointed with this one. It’s basic. Food tastes just ok, but forgettable. Pastries are well done, though. Cocktails are way too strong. Not impressed.
I have been chasing that Parisian feeling for the last few years since I left. I was super excited to have holiday brunch at Laduree Soho on New Years Day but was surprised to see that this was not the case as advertised on Open Table. Now, I would have moved my reservation to a time to accommodate the brunch service I had expected but had no way of knowing I would have needed to. The server speed was very French which would have been fine any other day. The food was expensive and bountiful.
Good food; excellent service and ambiance. Has both indoor and outdoor space.
I do not understand why people are critical of the Eggs Benedict in this restaurant. Sure, the yolk of the egg is runny, but that’s normal for any mammal egg when not fully grown but opened. Mom got the Lobster Caesar Salad, and she says the lobster is juicy and flavorful. She has been in France, and other shoreline restaurants, and has also tasted worse seafood than what the salad had to offer. I get that you can’t please everybody, but we were pleased from the get-go.
Don’t get fooled by the restaurant honestly! I’m honestly shocked because I heard so much good stuff about this restaurant I’ve always wanted to come here finally i got to, the food is just ordinary no flavor ! the service was terrible i Order drinks drinks didn’t come out till 15 minutes after getting food my brother order lobster pasta noodles was so hard one guy told us that we couldn’t pay in cash then another guy said that it was OK to pay in cash It’s one thing when food looks good but one food doesn’t taste good as it looks
Delicious eggs benedictine and a lovely setting.
This is for Brunch: great ambiance and friendly staff but the food was justOkay by brunch standards. The finger sandwiches were cold and soggy. :/Bakery looked beautiful though!
The best macaroons I have had so far. Matcha flavor is my favorite one but all of them are delicious. It just melts in your mouth. Feels like you are in France once you enter the store with French decor and ambience. Besides macaroons they serve other food too. Pricey but worth it.
Cee and I came here for a quick breakfast. When we first arrived, the store was empty except for one surly customer and two people on staff. We tried getting their attention instead they were short and walked away while we were still talking. (Perhaps, this is also the reason for the customers bad mood). We decided to take a walk since after 5 minutes no one came back to the front of the store to assist. We went back after 30 minutes and the staff was a bit friendlier the second time around. We asked if they had any available seats and was told we had to enter through the back. Their back garden is beautifully decorated and has lush luxurious feeling to it.We didnt have any reservations but, there were quite a few empty seats. The gazebo/veranda is for reservation only. We were seated promptly. I ordered the Pain au Chocolat ($4) and a scoop of salted caramel gelato ($3). Cee order a pot of The Jardin Bleu Royal ($7).Cee enjoyed the tea and the pot had enough tea for two cups. The salted caramel gelato tasted exactly like Talentis gelato. I thought for some reason they would be making their own gelato in house, but this doesnt seem to be the case. The Pain au Chocolat left a lot to be desired. It was very plain tasting and not exciting at all. There was a very thin layer of chocolate and it was only half an inch wide so, the chocolate taste wasnt very pronouced. It felt more like an afternote than the main attraction. The staff was friendly and they constantly came to check in on us. I think next time I will stick getting some macarons to go.
What a disappointing experience. It started with cold coffee served with milk instead of the cream we requested and being told that we couldn’t order the bread basket because the only bread available was croissants. Our food arrived and both of our meals were lukewarm at best. We took a couple bites and then stopped eating. Our waiter walked by at least 5 times and 30 minutes later, still hadn’t asked us how everything was. A different waiter overheard us complaining to each other and he was the only one to ask, “Is everything okay?”. It obviously wasn’t. We walked out.
The Laduree cookies Cacao Meringue Buttons I bought on Sat5/15/2021 went bad on Tue 5/18/2021. How is that possible? It has expiration date on 5/29/21. It is moldy inside and looks really gross that I dont even want to open the boxes. They need to pay attention on the ingredients they use to make these and how they store these. Not a cheap baked goods but I wasted money on this thing. Horrible.
I drive almost an hour to come here just to have an ispahan. There is really nothing better then this is fresh it chewy it’s sweet as well as sour from the fresh raspberries and it is so worth it.
Visited during summer a year ago. The place is accessorized with vintage like drapes and adorable chandelier. The service, however, was not the best or worst... the servers can be dismissive of you if you do not seem to fit their usual clientele. As a new customer, I didn’t feel very welcomed. My friends and I went there to satisfy a quick sweet craving and we ordered pastries. I ordered an eclair, and it tasted stale and not fresh. One star for adorable decor and another star for sympathy.
They have great garden with a nice bar. I had delicious food and drink. Amazing atmosphere....
Cozy and stylish place. Delicious and nicely presented food. Nice, friendly and professional service.
The cutest place Ive ever been to! Delicious food!
The service and the cappuccino was amazing!
Love this place!
Perfectly cooked breakfast.
Beautiful store decoration and presentation!!! Macaroons a bit too sweet for me though.
Came here for some macaroons and the place is packed! Macaroons were great and staff were friendly - would’ve been better if there were more staff assisting so the wait was shorter. Macaroons were perfect, and delicious, but the price is reflective of that.Next time will try out the cafe.
First and foremost its their macaroons... and at the same level of excellence are their pastries. The setting or presentation is very elegant. The staff are curtious and helpful. It is a must visit place.
We specifically asked if they were offering seated service, were told yes, spent 60$ on pastries, and then given plastic forks and no service. When I asked if we could have real silverware and plates the waitress said “let me ask” and then returned to say “no sorry”. We could not cut into the pastries with the plastic forks, so we had to eat with our hands. This is the service level for 60$ pastries? I used to be a loyal customer, but won’t be coming back now. What a joke.
Beautiful scenery. the food (lamb chops in particular) was exception.
Probably the best macaroons I’ve ever had, the Marie Antoinette is probably one of my favorites. The turquoise one. Great staff also.
Gorgeous location and such a great place for an intimate tea time, lunch, or even dinner. Love the accessibility to the menu so I could be prepared for the gathering I had with some friends. I ordered the rose tea which was beyond amazing and the Risotto with mushroom which was good as well. I just wish the entree would have something different than simply the risotto such as a vegetable side or anything. It was a huge portion of the same thing and It would be a little better with a side. I as well got a delicious raspberry dessert that was so refreshing with fresh raspberries and puff pastries. Overall would recommend for tea definitely! Also if you get a chance, try the seasonal passion fruit macaron they have right now. So good!
Best avacado toast iv ever had. Great ambiance and amazing food. Service is great. Overall 5star expiernce
Beautiful place, friendly customer service, a variety of French pastries! They are delicious! I got a chocolate covered macaron and thought it was alright, but the eclair was absolutely delicious and I would have it again.A bit pricey I guess but worth at least the one time try!
Laduree is a gorgeous gem delivering a quaint, timeless, romantically feminine French experience right in the middle of Soho! Your cultural senses will be so pleased from the beautiful courtyard, quaint very French dining area to the authentic appearing French bakery. The service was first class and our food and beverages were divine. The Rose Latte was so beautiful that you dont want to drink it....but delicious! George took excellent care of us from the minute we sat down. So professional, proper, and attentive. The entire restaurant filled in right as we were getting seated for our 10am brunch but service times were still excellent. Our salmon egg benedict, french toast, and mimosas were fabulous as well. Laduree has the perfect combination of quality, ambience, and service to deserve 5++ stars! As a business owner, I could really appreciate the quality of the team they have assembled from the chefs to the hostess----well done Laduree. Definitely would recommend.
We dined in last Saturday and made dinner reservations for 2. Upon reaching the restaurant, we were seated outdoors at the corner and wasnt informed that there was an event being held. We requested if we can be transferred indoors because of the loud noise but we were refused to do that. The service was really slow to the point that i had to approach a server to take our order and it still took a long time before they came. The server seemed in a rush since they were too busy with the event. Upon receiving our food, it was already served cold. The Summer Chicken was pretty dry and was lacking sauce considering that the price was $40+. The Filet de Boeuf was tough and a steak knife was never provided. It was also hard to get anyone elses attention even just for water. Tried to contact their customer service but they werent responding either. This was such a disappointing experience for us. It was a waste of money for an awful service and food that made us feel sick.
Great afternoon spot!Always love their macaroons. Not too sweet and the size is perfect. Their pastries have mini sizes and their drinks were very frenchy. Their ice cream was tasty but not smooth enough for me.Coming here with a group of friends for afternoon and getting a set would be fantastic! The atmosphere was classic but the service was a little slow. Overall a good spot.
Fantastic experience here tonight with my wife. I had the beef tartare, scallops, and a chocolate pastry (I forgot what it was called, but had dark chocolate on top). My wife had the French onion soup and the truffle macaroni and cheese. Portion sizes look small at first, but are deceptively filling. Im glad to have made the journey here, and would recommend it, especially for Restaurant Week!
Delicious Macaroons! That’s all I have to say!
Great atmosphere in the garden for a Sunday branch. High quality music system, great food an service was very fast. Avocado toast is recommended.
Very nice place to sit, drink a nice cup of tea or coffee and order the best macarons in town.A bit stiff up lip waitresses and very French style. But cleanliness is next to godliness and God lives in France 😇
