Explosive Flavor! Words cannot describe how amazing this chocolate is. I havent had something this amazing since I traveled to Switzerland. You will be hooked if you try it once. What an incredible gift ππβ€.
Second time ordering from Kreuther Chocolate is nothing short of spectacular. (First time was on goldbelly.com) This time I purchased the Fruity Bonbon collection for my wife and she absolutely loved it. Its really the aesthetic presentation and the taste of the unique flavors. It is worth mentioning that Kreuther had a small shipping snafu with the order. However, I was impressed with customer service (thanks Anna!) going above and beyond to atone for the error which I fully appreciate. Will definitely be returning customers!!
All the small packs of chocolate were priced $10.47 but when I checked out I was charged $13 something which turned out to be 15.02 with tax. I asked the lady who worked there why the numbers were incorrect and sheβs didnβt said anything and pressed approve payment *on the customerβs pad FOR ME* without my approval and it went through. She said that pack weighed more. I didnβt even have a chance to dispute the charge or tell her I didnβt want the product anymore. Funny. They should have weighed all the chocolate before putting on the price tag. If that chocolate was priced $15 originally I would have purchased it still, but in this case I felt extremely uncomfortable. Not an honest shop. Apparently they believe itβs ok to rip off tourists without repercussions because itβs just a one time business.
So delicious chocolate at the heart of 42nd Street. I didnt know there is a Two Michelin Star restaurant in that area and exquisite, delicious, mouthwatering chocolate next to it. Ive tried the samples and this oh-so-good Chocolate Trifle Profiterole. Buy one. Have some. The flavor is balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter. Its just perfect. I love it! I told my friends about this spot. Well, you better check it out! Good quality chocolate that doesnt hurt your pocket.
All the treats here are amazing. Iβve tried a variety of different types and none have disappointed. The chocolate is very rich in each item and the best part is that nothing is overly sweet or too sugary. They also offer beverages here as well. This is my go-to place for chocolate and sweets in general. The only downside is that they are closed on Sundays.
Weve stopped in a few times over the last two years. Its a special occasion venue because of the prices, but theres always something new to try, from the iced hot chocolate to the macaron ice cream sandwich to pear balsamic truffles. Its mesmerizing to watch the hand-crafted production in the workshop. We appreciate that the dark chocolate speaks for itself and is never over-sweetened, particularly for the ice cream and hot chocolate. The chocolate chip cookies are luscious too.
OH MY! Where in heavens did I just take a right turn and land in Wonderland. I am a die hard Neuhaus fan. However I have found an alternative that uses the thinnest layer of chocolate coating to encase the best flavors of what you can locate inside. All in the size of a small eraser or something that can delicately slip under your tongue. I was coming back from my fave little incense shop and chanced upon this place. Decadence in glass cases is my view. I wanted to stay there all day. If it werent for a dinner appt. I probably would have. My fave was probably the passionfruit one. The Dulce de Coco and Pina was a close 2nd. The Tahitian Vanilla was also heavenly. The mint was subtle and not synthetic. I can say that I bought 16 of them and have quietly consumed most but did choose to share with a few friends. They were VERY GOOD FRIENDS. I wouldnt waste this on someone who thought Hersheys was amazing if you get my drift. I can picture this as part of a bridal shower or baby shower gift. The place is immaculate and the people behind the counter seem very in tune with the product. A total plus. Definitely worth the price take of approx. $3.50 per piece. You dont need much, but you do need at least one. Enjoy!
I bought a 24-piece chocolate chef selection. The crafting of the chocolates can not be questioned but the taste of the fillings were extremely disappointing. The taste of most of them was a rich buttery ganache (tasty). However, I paid $$$$ for this box and I barely noticed the difference between miso, seaweed, or tonka bean ganache. The nut flavor (almond or hazelnut) was overwhelmed by the taste of burnt caramel in the praline. The overall experience was extremely disappointing. More looks than substance.
This is my favorite chocolate/dessert place in NYC. So far I tried their buche de noel, chocolate mousse cup, chocolate chip cookies, some cheesecake macaroons, and chocolate squares (wow I do love their things). All of their things were never disappointing - great for gifts as well (at least for me...)!!
One of the real chocolates I have ever eaten.
This is it... look no further ...Simply amazing, in every detail ...I strongly recommend it
Mixing the chocolates is one the tricks the owner showed me. It was a sensation to have so many different tastes collide. Absolutely delicious!! This is a must go place. He also will do private parties. Iβll be going back for dessert again soon.
Tried two of their very decadent little desserts in adorable little jars. They were absolutely divine, and of course, incredibly chocolate-y. The individual chocolates that you can buy looked very beautiful and VERY fancy, but they were pretty price-y. We didnt try any of those on this visit, but the desserts we had were so delicious.
Best chocolates in NYC! Magnificent and mouth-watering!
Excellent hot chocolate. The chocolates are superb. If the hot chocolate and the chocolates fill You up and You have no room for the macaroons do not fret. Commendable service. A large clean bathroom. You can watch the chocolates being produced before Your eyes. The prices are fair, reflecting the quality of their products. Highly recommended.
I usually have an excellent, feel-good experience every time I visit. Not today. As the young woman was packing up my order, some white middle-aged white man stormed up to the counter, interrupted our conversation and demanded help. He did not ask; he demanded. She told him that she was with a customer (me), to which he responded that there were so many people (only three - two employees and a trainee) on the floor that someone should be able to help now. The trainee told him that she is just a trainee. AND instead of telling this rude, entitled person that shell get to him as soon as shes done with my order, or that the other employee who was ringing up her customer would help him when she finished, the employee who was helping me abruptly stopped, told me that the other employee who was busy with another customer would assist me, and went to help that man. After all that, he left the store without ordering anything and I dont know where she went after he left. The other employee apologized for the wait and rang up my order, but by then I didnt even want it. My receipt is stamped 1:52 pm, right now it is 4:06 pm and I havent touched any of my chocolates. I shouldve treated myself another way. Next time I know not to celebrate a win here.
We sampled one of the green tea handcrafted chocolate that was absolutely delicious. We got this chocolate cake yesterday that was just right for 3-4 people. The toppings on it are so good! We also tried some of their hot chocolate ! It was sooo rich and so good! The atmosphere and the service is so nice too.
AMAZING!!Delicious and FRESHHHHH
This place was great! I got some chocolate for a friend of mine as a gift, and she loved it. Also, my experience at the store was wonderdul. The people that work there were so nice. The guy behind the counter was really patient with me. I had to ask if there were certain ingredients inside any of the chocolates, because there are a few ingredients I cant have. He was so patient, and also he was able to remember which ones did and didnt have those ingredients throughout their entire collection of chocolates. When I left, I was looking for my phone in my purse, wondering what corner it fell in. Then I heard someone calling for me, and when I turned around I saw a women, who must have been the manager, running after me. She told me I forgot my phone at the store, we were both walking back to the store, and the employee that had been helping me had stepped out of the store with my phone to give it to me. They were so great! Delicious sweets, and trustworthy and kind staff! I will definitely go back! 5 Stars all the way!!!
Amazing chocolates. The hot chocolate was the best Ive ever had! The almond brownie cookie was unbelievably good!
What a wonderful, high-quality, and friendly place. Delicious desserts and chocolate items, along with quality coffee drinks. I had an Americano and a small cold chocolate dessert and both were excellent! Friendly staff. But only three tables. You will have to share but even then you may not find seating. Absolute must-visit!
Really great artisan chocolate shop, right next door to the restaurant. The shop has chocolates, cookies, cakes, and all manner of assorted desserts. The flavor combinations are exotic and even a bit boundary pushing, but after a bit of hesitation, they all seem just delicious. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, from making selections to asking for recommendations, and describing the offerings. There is a small seating area if you cant wait, and you can watch the chocolates being made.
The place is super clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the goodies, OMG, the goodies were so good! I got the macadamia nut toffee, milk chocolate bar, and some assorted chocolates that we instantly inhaled!! I cant wait to come back. We also had the macaroons that were delish!
Fell in love with the chocolates here. Very expensive but worth the decadent trip. The employees are very friendly. My only quibble would be the tip jar. When spending over a hundred dollars on chocolate, why the tip?
Exciting and unique flavours of chocolate which leave you wanting more. The cookies that they sell are more like warm puddings after they are heated up and actual melt in your mouth! The interior decor is also beautiful and peaceful.
Oh! I love the truffles here. They are bite sized awesome treats! I tried expresso, chocolate and rum and raisin truffle. They were all good!
On my first visit, I bought some caramels and they were greasy and gritty, which meant they were sitting on the shelves for a while. I call them up and was told that itβs how caramel should be.On my second visit I asked which country did their cocoa beans came from and was told their chocolate werenβt made from beans and it came from France.Management really need to train their staff.and whoever made their brownies needs to shot. Its three layers of buttercream like Chocolate that is just sweet on sweet on sweet. It lacks any imagination or distinction and it is a crime and insult against the chocolate itβs made from.
I would just like to thank Kurt for the incredible service. He was very attentive in helping us pick out an assortment of chocolates for our coworker. (who loved them all btw)
One of the best hot chocolates Ive had.
First visit was so lovely. Seriously grown up hot chocolate and decadent cheesecake macarons. Excellent service. Came back to show my chocophile friends my new favorite chocolate shop and we were ignored for 20 minutes until I questioned the counter staff about my place in line. She carelessly replied that there really was no line and you kind of just come up to the counter. We were waiting forever. They saw us waiting. I was finally served after I questioned her but felt like I was a bother and for a dessert type place, it was a bittersweet experience. The hot chocolate is lovely and so I might have to brave it and return.
I went to buy chocolates for my client. Asked the staff for a favor to tie a ribbon on the bag and was willing to pay for it but instead I was made to feel like I was asking for the world. The product maybe good but with a less than desirable service I doubt I will return.
Amazing dessert! very comfortable environment and nice stuffs. Definitely my favorite dessert shop in NYC.
Possibly the best chocolate you will ever eat. This place gets the most credit for the unique flavor choices. It is, admittedly, incredibly expensive, and the experience of watching it made and purchasing it is very fancy and high-end.
Expensive but worth it. The chocolate eclairs are amazing and made with fresh ingredients. Will definitely return for a special treat.
No, not affordable. But I tell you what, the best piece of chocolate I have ever had. I bought a dozen:)
My favorite chocolate place in nyc!
Good customer service, answered questions that I had, cheesecake macaroons was really good but, too pricey if you ask me. their chocolates are good too.
Absolutely love the the atmosphere and service. The place is next to my office and is perfect for a quiet business conversation in style.
These chocolate tastes amazing especially the hot and cold chocolate drink and excellent customer service
Delicious hot chocolate and truffles made from the highest quality ingredients. Excellent staff providing great service and a tasting experience.
Exquisite chocolates and pastries at surprisingly affordable prices. Order your dessert, sip on a latte, and enjoy the view of Bryant Park.
The frozen hot chocolate is a yoo-hoo chocolate drink for $10. 80% ice in a plastic cu0 that cracks in your hand. There are much better chocolatiers in the area.
Best chocolates I had in NYC. After trying it I will never go back to Jacques Torres and alike. Though this please is pricey, $3 per piece, but it is so worth it.
Fantastic hot chocolate and tasty macarons right by the library.
Friendly staff and great pastries. Made the mistake of getting macaroons upon the suggestion of the staff, should have gotten more chocolates instead.
Incredibly good (and expensive, but the magical taste makes you forget the price)
The pastries are great. Dont order coffee though.
Im giving you a 5 for that frozen hot chocolate alone. Soooo good.
Beautiful and delicious chocolate bites.
Expensive tasty π chocolate π«
THIS IS THE WORSE PLACE EVER. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH NEED TO SERIOUSLY CLOSE THIS BUSINESS DOWN. THE MANAGER LAURA IS SO RUDE. SHE SMILES IN CUSTOMERS FACE TO MAKE THEM BELIEVE SHE APPRECIATES THEIR SERVICE BUT SHE DOESNT. I WALKED PASS THE WINDOW ONE EVENING AND SAW THE CHIEF LICKING THE CHOCOLATE SPOON MIXER AND THEN PLACED THE SAME SPOON BACK IN THE CHOCOLATE MIX. SO DISGUSTING
Service is fast and they are attentive
Delicious chocolate and desserts.
Delicious chocolates!
Love chocolate
Awesome place
Excellent chocolate !!
I never went but it seems good
Wonderful! Try the hot chocolate! Its a must see!
I am looking forward to it every time because there are seasonal cakes. You can also have it in the store, but the number of seats is small.
Tast good! β€
