My experience with this dealership was just ok. I live in Ohio and I came all the way to New York to buy my 2019 Audi Q8. When I called the dealership I talked to Justin about the car and I asked if there was any scratches or dents in the car. He sent me more detailed photos of the car and it looked good in the pictures but once I got there the car had scratches all around the car which wasn’t a big deal because most of them could be buffed out but the part that upset me the most was a big dent and part of the grille was missing so it would need replaced. And the dealership wouldn’t fix or take money off so I can get it fixed‼️ Justin was off the day I came to pick up the car so I texted him about the situation he responded at first and once I explained my situation so he could make some phone calls to try and take care of the situation he stopped responding and I never heard from him since… Jeff was the person I worked with when I came and he was absolutely amazing but since it wasn’t his deal he was unable to help either but I appreciate his effort. So if you’re coming from far please look very closely at every angle of every picture and zoom in… because they told me the dent in my grille was in the photos but I had to zoom in very closely to even notice the damage… the first picture is what they sent me the second one is the same picture zoomed in…. You wouldn’t tell unless you go looking for it

Amazing customer service and very responsive!I was able to purchase the certified pre owned car that was listed on the website and there were no hidden fees. Patrick was very attentive and helpful. He addressed any concerns I had and was very quick to resolve them for me. He was very informative and made the car buying process very efficient for me.

How is this okay? They send me a link to the attached, but charged me double. When I called to get some understanding I was told by Arlene Caswell that it was due to labor in Manhattan. My physical invoice looks nothing like this. When I call around to other dealerships in the area I am quoted what is in fact in the image or less. Its outrageous. Its not competitive at all. I feel scammed. Ive had VWs for so long. I grew to trust. Not this dealership. To top it off my car wasnt even cleaned. And there is no pick up or drop off. Just terrible. 2021 Aug - Management rude and abrasive; pretty sterile environment. Discrimination at it’s finest felt like a scene and pretty woman with Julia Roberts. recommendations owners should seek a training session in sales to Millenniums customers. Because sister store Audi Manhattan good benefit to. Sales associate very responsible and responsive and pacified the situation appropriately.

Waited 2 months for a loaner with appointments for them to say we dont have any loaners. Worst dealer and customer service. Beware of buying a vw this will be my last VW vehicle

The saleslady is quite unprofessional and lacks some basic sales training.Here’s the list of things the saleslady failed as a decent salesperson:1. Stop replying email after I turned off her offer to buy my old car2. Focused on online shopping when I arrived and I needed to wait and remind her to start my process3. Made mistake on VIN number so I cannot transfer my insurance ahead of time4. Did not inform me that I need to bring my old plate if I want to transfer to new car, then called me unprofessional5. Did not explain to me what the overall process would be like and how much time each process would take. So I waited 40 mins for her to pull my new car down without knowing where she went6. Didn’t give me any walkthrough of the new car features7. Giving me strong attitude -> retaliation thru the whole process8. Writing long email accusing me making her job hard and blame on her incompetence after knowing I requested change of sales to her managerNothing more to add, this car purchasing experience is quite a whoa such a miracle experience. Never gonna go back to this dealer ever again. Appreciate my own time and energy.

I made an appointment online and we agreed on 147$ to copy my car key. After paying and them working on it they told me the car is ready after 2 hrs! but they said you need to pay 190$ extra to program your keys and I had a long discussion with them on why this price was not disclosed on the phone the technicians and manager (Daniel) said that whatever deal was mentioned on the phone was not her problem and she doesn’t even know about any deals made with me on the phone like they are separate and she is not obligated to go with those deals. I felt like I am being robbed but I didn’t know what to do! I asked her I want to speak to a manager she says I am the supervisor, and I am the boss here! I wanted my car so I decided to pay 190$ but when I went to check keys the old key stopped working! The whole point was that I can have a spare key, Daniel goes and says “use the new one that we made”! Unbelievable! I came for the purpose of having two keys and I come out with one! they stopped my old key from working completely and they charge me way more money and they disrespect me as well, Daniel says to me “ it’s not our problem the computer did the mistake of turning of the old key take your car and have a nice day” I felt horrible, And I would not leave even though she goes and she take my car down for me to to take it and leave!After a long argument, a lot of unfair logic and my day being ruined they approve to refund me only 190$ without fixing my old key! If anyone knows how can I make an official complaint please tell me.

Ive been bringing my 2019 Golf GTI to Open Road Manhattan for service since new. Its always been a good experience. They work you through quickly, everyone is professional, and the service waiting area is big and modern. Last week elevated my overall good experiences to a 5-stars. There was a miscommunication about a scheduled warranty fix. I did not have time to wait all day or leave the car and was about to get very agitated and walk out. But the general manager Anthony Riccardi was there in the service area overseeing things, saw what was happening, and immediately took control of the situation. He was able to get the warranty work and some other maintenance I needed done in less than two hours which saved me significant time and headaches. I really appreciate that kind of personal attention, responsiveness, and effort, its what makes for long term loyal customers. Very impressed with Mr. Riccardi and his team.

My two start is for costumer service.I called to schedule the apt for check engine light on my Atlas 2018, the person answer the call was very rude it looks like he had very bad morning, he offered me the appointment 9 days ahead, I asked him please if he can do it before than, since I only have this car to commute and basically I don’t want to damage anything, this is where I got posed off with his answer, well you can find another Volkswagen dealer! really dude, I have bean loyal to you guys even bought a car from you, I’m considering to find different Volkswagen dealer, that’s not how you do business.

We came in on a Tuesday and met with Jeff for a test drive of a Tiguan SE R-Line. The drive was smooth and because of COVID protocols he let us take the car on our own. This place is great. We had massive trouble with a car we bought last summer from a dealership in New Jersey. We started by bringing that car in to Open Road for a diagnostic and Amanda in the service department was awesome and gave us a fair and honest assessment. Awful service! Sale person Cienna easily took $500 deposit for the car (Tiguan SE) and was communicating with me over the phone regarding the deal. Once I wanted to cancel the deal it t took weeks! to get my money back! Cienna was fully incompetent to assist with the reimbursement! Took few weeks and much efforts to get the money back!

Their service department is THE WORST! Last year I brought my car there to get the scheduled maintenance. I schedule the appointment online and then called them to get the price of the maintenance. They told me one price over the phone and then when I got there, the price was over $100 more. When I told them the price I was quoted they went to speak to the manager and came back to me with yet a different price. They finally agreed to honor the price I was given but it only got worse from there. When I came back to pick up the car, the only thing that was supposedly done was the oil change. There was nothing else list on the invoice that included a charge of almost $400 dollars. When I asked about it, they said everything was done. My son worked in the luxury car industry for 10 years and even advised that was shady. All work done is listed on the invoice. The year prior they tried to sell me unnecessary work. When I had my son talk to them they backed down because he caught the service advisor in a lie. These people are thieves. DO NOT USE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

I bought a used Passat from them and had a wonderful experience. As soon as I got there, I was shown to the waiting area and given a bottle of water, and within 10 minutes I was on a test drive. They treated me with respect the whole time and really did their best to make the experience a positive one.A special shout out to Julissa. She was the absolute best. She never tried any shady sales tactics or tried to pressure me. She was just a solid person trying to get me the car that worked for me. Buying experience was fine.; never received title though. Called and never got a call back. Tried that a few times before having to request and pay for a duplicate title. I had paid for this service when I brought the car... they couldve done better in my option.

Ridiculous fees on a cpo car. Listed at 14k which was a decent price but not after they add their “mandatory fees” of $890+$299+$75 ($1275!!!) and that obviously isn’t for tax/title/license or anything… yea no thanks

I am from Pennsylvania and I had been searching for a Golf in a specific color with specific options. I found the car through Autotrader, and Jeff and I were able to complete the entire transaction over the phone. I had a exceptional experience at Open Road Volkswagen Manhattan. A few weeks ago I thought Id check out the 2018 VW Tiguan as a possible replacement for my RR Evoque. I was looking for another mid-sized SUV and was curious about re-designed 2018 Tiguan. I met with one of the sales persons, Jeff Issac-Hodge, who offered to showed me the Tiguan. We went for a test drive and Jeff filled me in on the attributes of the SUV. (The car has more functionality then the more expensive RR evoque) Jeff was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and had a very friendly demeanor. I decided to lease the Tiguan for 36 months and Open Road Volkswagen made for a easy transition into my new vehicle. Extremely pleasant experience I went in for a transmission oil change awesome prices compared to the Bronx queens and New Jersey . Yeah I was surprised too considering they are located in Manhattan. I added a coolant flush Later on in thee day and they added it to my bill and still completed the job at the promised time . Couldn’t be happier would give 100 starts if I could ✊🏽❤️

Purchased a car after reading many positive reviews. PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE ONES. They do up charge with VIN etching which is unnecessary and overpriced. The extended warranty, also not worth it. Most of this can be found on Consumer Reports.They sold us a pre owned vehicle with one key which we didnt know until two days after having the car. A car rental facility owned it prior for less than a year. When talking to the VW Manhattan, the at first ignored our calls then belittled us. When I ordered the replacement, the received the wrong key only to be told that towards the end of the day after taking work off to drop it off and pick it up. Must repeat the process. Also, we have to pay the labor fee for the service department to add the key. New key $145 plus labor $160....after two days of ownership. Called and went it and were treated pretty much like garbage. I regret my purchase

I bought a used SUV (not VW) sales person pushed and pushed to have VIN etching done for insurance purposes. I finally agreed to it. Second day i noticed there was NO VIN ETCHING done on the car windows. I asked for a refund for it (not for the entire purchase). They failed to provide the service stated on the contract and now refuse to process a refund for it. With all the BS fees they charge (admin fees over 800$) and VIN etching that can cost 30$ or even be free thru AAA, why cant refund the $160/180$.

I was DREADING getting a new car b/c every experience Ive ever had car shopping has been, well, dreadful. UNTIL OPEN ROAD. It was so easy! They were completely reasonable, respected our time and needs, and went many extra miles including a serious detailing job on the 3-year-old Alltrack we bought and love. We worked with Alani and she made the experience a breeze. Even the usually hard sell closing was nothing of the sort! Rick was super - no pushiness, just data and support and a terrific car. We are very happy and recommend Open Road with enthusiasm!

The worst place ever!! I bought the car passat and after a month I wanted to service the car at the other Volkswagen service center and they told me that half of the parts are off the market and i called them and told them about it but they didn’t care.Shame on you.DONT BUY A CAR OVER THERE THEY GONNA TRY TO TRICK YOU !!!

After my wife and me lost our jobs due to Covid and with a baby on the way I was told by the manager that i could return my 2020 leased Tiguan for $2000. He told me to enjoy the car for the weekend and then make the return Monday. After not being able to make it there Monday i called and left a message with no call back. On Thursday we tried to bring the car back but the manager was off for the day. Friday morning we get in touch with him and he says to bring it by but now ive been charged an additional $430 because its a new month and theres “nothing he can do about it” I was never warned about this. classic car dealer playing cool to screw you over. thanks for nothing Anthony

Completely awesome experience! Started looking for cars early November an after a few weeks 2015 limited edition Passat jumped out at me. Sent off an email and Jeff replied. He answered all my questions and even sent me a video of the car! On my first visit we went over a few things, my second visit I test drove the car and it was so smooth and comfortable!! Jeff emailed me over some paperwork to go over since I was at work majority of the time we were communicating via email. After going over everything I received a call with great news and picked up my car November 23rd! Just in time for the holidays! Great experience with this dealership. Leased a diesel vehicle from these guys and was pleased with my experience. They had to get the vehicle I wanted from another dealer and were easy-going about it instead of attempting to sell me whatever they had on their lot.I mostly dealt with Tim Comparato (general sales manager), Jeff Hodges (sales consultant), and Eddie Lopez (finance manager). All three were very professional and thorough. I didnt feel like I was dealing with sleazy salesman whatsoever which is more than I can say for some dealerships.I walked in thinking they were probably going to give me quotes significantly higher than Brooklyn or New Jersey simply because this was a Manhattan showroom... and I was pleasantly surprised. Tim worked with me on pricing, and I felt I left with a fair deal as he matched a quote I got from a different dealer. He didnt play hardball with me and make me go through a dozen rounds of negotiation.Jeff was very helpful the rest of the way - accommodating when we had a last minute schedule change on the day we were due to pick up the car, informative, and most importantly, honest when he didnt know something - didnt just make up information.Eddie Lopez was organized, efficient, and personable when signing the lease papers on the day of the pickup.Great experience - dont write these guys off right away just because they are in Manhattan.

He wasnt pushy, he made us comfortable, he was extremely personable, and made the whole car shopping experience a lot more pleasant than we anticipated. Ms. Nicole was very helpful in finding us a great salesperson who walked us around and showed myself and my husband a car that would be great for our growing family. The young man was very helpful and he treated us like family. He was very accommodating to our needs and wants. I will be back to do business with this dealership only because of the way they treated me and my husband. I will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family.
