I highly recommend Modern Vice for any private label design that you would need. I have been working with Jordan for over a year now and he has been nothing but extremely helpful and knowledge able! I can to Jordan with just an idea for an eco-friendly shoe and he delivered to say the least. We spoke at least 2 times a week and he answered every single question I had. I visited modern vice for my girlfriends Anniversary, she’s been asking me to take her here for years, i recently ordered a pair of shoes to pick up as present for my girlfriend anniversary present, I was greeted by a very friendly and helpfully passionate staff, I went over the different options and sizing happen to meet the owner Jordon gave me a free pair of sandals to give to her for the special day. He then gave me a personal factory.I can’t wait to give her the shoes they look amazing.

Ordered my shoes in December of 2019... still have not received them. I understand issues with COVID, so I picked new leather because of availability issues, and that was January of 2021 after a few placating emails with new deadlines that were never met. Very little communication with constant requests for responses, and all I get back is another 4-6, or 12 weeks, and were very sorry there is no one available to make the shoes....yet I see a lot of advertisement for new shoes made and that they are available to be the production house if you have a shoe line you need made. I just want my shoes! Please just send me my shoes! I have been trying to be patient, and through all the reviews Ive read across all of the websites, I have waited the longest and been the most patient at a whopping year and a half now. If youre never going to send them, please send me my money back or honor the price I paid and let me pick out a pair in-store...but Id still prefer the shoes I ordered!

This is one of my favorite local shoe companies, their style is always fun and break the usual mode of basic footwear. They have a cheeky sense of style. At this point, I own about 6 pairs from them with a few more on the way!Jordan is friendly and passionate about the company and it shows, Yaroc is super helpful and has the patience of a saint! Both of them took me and my sister on a tour of the manufacturing which happens right behind the showroom. Ricardo from the production team even measured is to get ensure the final shoes were a perfect fit.This is old New York garment district factory, run by and operated by a local team of old school cobblers and artisans with heart and soul. You can see the skins of each shoe being cut and sewn and prepared to be turned into the each pair, all earmarked for clients.Outside of the people, the shoes speaks volumes. I have never had to break in their shoes, they are supple, comfortable and people stop me on the street to ask about them.

I cannot rave enough about Modern Vice! First of all I have to come to their defense because there are some people that dont seem to understand what the made to order concept is.Yes, if you order a pair of Modern Vice shoes it will take a while to receive them but heres why: THEY ARE HAND CRAFTED, MANUFACTURED IN NYC, HIGH END DESIGNER, ARTISAN SHOES! They only produce specialty items ONCE AN ORDER IS PLACED. They are not a mass produced fast-fashion-sweat-shop factory. Their mission is to create beautiful-fun shoe art using long standing methods. They strive to put in all their passion and skills to make their customers happy. The very people who make these wonderful pieces are skilled masters of their craft who only want to use top quality materials. They curate and only work with the finest leathers and fabrics to make a statement shoe that will stand the test of time. So yes, if you order from Modern Vice please be patient. Their shoes are worth the wait and worth the price.So back to my personal review of my experience with Modern Vice. I knew what I was getting into wanting my dream pair of shoes from them. I appreciate the time, care and passion their team put into my pair of David Bowie Bolt boots! These boots were ordered earlier this year and as we all know how 2020 went....well of corse there were going to be delays. But we kept up communication via emails, Modern Vice took the time to walk me every step of the way as they created my boots. They did everything they could to catch up with all their orders since the pandemic forced them to shut down for a long time.Once their design studio was opened they did their best to make sure I got my boots. I moved and they updated my order to deliver them to my new address. Once I received my boots I immediately tried them on and OH MY GOOD they softest leather! They are so beautiful! I sent them an email to thank them for my AMAZING boots and they were so kind and sweet. You can tell that they really pride themselves in the quality of their shoes and the ability to make their customers happy! I will MOST DEFINITELY purchase shoes from Modern Vice again, they have a new loyal customer for life!**Side note, my line of work has me standing for long periods of time. These shoes are going to be super comfortable during my long standing shifts**

Honestly one of the best quality shoes & companies out there. I have multiple pairs of boots from them and love every single one. Ive spent time at their headquarters in NYC, where they personally toured me through the process of making each shoe. They have made me multiple custom pairs that are incredible. They even made me custom white shoes for my wedding. I honestly can’t say enough good things!

I love my boots! Yes - I had to wait for them, but it is worth it. I think every business now is going through some logistics issues due to the COVID, but best things come to those who wait:). I don’t regret that I did not take my money back and waited just another couple of weeks for my boots to arrive. They are a lifetime piece and I will wear them for years. The boot’s skin is soft so I wear them barefoot. They don’t rub my feet.

Ive LONGED for modern vice boots for so long and Im proud to say Im officially a part of this amazing club. They are the most comfortable shoes Ive ever owned. They fit like a dream and did not require a breaking in period. They were 100% comfortable from the start (and this is coming from someone with a wide foot) and they are true to size. I went with the Holiday Teal boot and every time I wear them, Im stopped and complimented. They are fun, flashy and make you feel like a rock star! I cant wait to add more of these glamorous boots to my collection!

Ive been eyeing a pair of boots from MV for some time and finally ordered the Jetts (pre Covid). It did take a couple of months for me to receive the shipment, but that was understandable given they are a small, NYC based company and were hit hard with the shutdown. I imagine having to navigate a reopening plan and catching up on orders was a challenge.That being said, I am in love with these boots! They are even more exquisite in person and the craftsmanship is impeccable. You can really tell they take great pride in their work. I was anticipating the leather to be a bit stiffer, but was really surprised by how supple it was and how it had a nice give. Perfect for adapting to a wider foot. Im usually a 7/7.5 and the 37.5 size was ideal. The heel height is also really comfortable to walk in. Have gotten so many compliments on them. Honestly, can rave on and on about these but will just say, dont sleep on this brand. Their boots are beyond quality and worth it! Would definitely order again.

The boots are great and consistently deliver on time with their production windows. Sure it’s not two day delivery from Amazon, but these boots are made to order so they’re killing it!Even with Covid going on, Modern Vice delivers on customer service. I’ve met the owner maybe twice before for boots for my girlfriend.The first pair was couriered over to her office with Balloons and a card, the second pair I picked up from the factory itself.Try to find another company maintaining this high level of quality, communication, service, and safety (up to code through out entire factory) - you won’t.

These boots are so chic and well made! I purchased The Original Bolt in pink suede. They are a total statement piece and worth it. The heel is perfect and they are comfy too! I am so happy with this company and definitely recommend these boots!!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEI ordered a pair of shoes back in March of 2020, right before Covid started in NYC. I thought they would’ve communicated through email about how the crisis would impact my order. Still, I hadn’t heard ANYTHING from the company about how they’re coping, how they’re dealing with their customer’s orders, etc.It wasn’t until I HAD TO reach out to them in July about my order that they finally told me a little bit about what was going on. This was kind of fine, but we, as in NYC (where the store is also located) was already reopening and moving on to phase four.Their email was also so full of typos that it was unprofessional.Again, I heard nothing from them about my order for MONTHS. Until last month I had emailed them about formally requesting a refund for my order. They told me that they would process my refund ASAP and send me an email confirmation.Now, it’s February 2021. I have received NO REFUND, NO EMAIL CONFIRMATION, Nothing.I LIVE IN THE SAME CITY AS THE COMPANY, AND I REMINDED THEM OF THAT SEVERAL TIMES.This situation could’ve been easily resolved through email if they were professional enough. I would’ve even offered to pick it up myself since its right by 42 st on the N train.Anyways,I sent a complaint to reportfraud.ftc.gov for bad business practices and scams. Tomorrow, I will be contacting my bank to get my money back.DO NOT BUY FROM MODERN VICE!YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Amazing production, manufacturing and design all in NYC. Nothing better than Made in NYC

Similar to another reviewer below, I ordered several pairs of shoes during a promo for the Super Bowl in early FEBRUARY 2020. Totally understand they were understaffed and closed temporarily due to COVID. At the time, I also lived in NYC, so I get it. Also knowing they are made to order, I didn’t reach out until MAY because I was moving and needed to change the shipping address. They emailed me back promptly and said they changed the address and would alert me as soon as my order was ready. Cut to SEPTEMBER when I emailed them again about the status of my order, they said it would be 8-12 weeks as they were on an extreme delay. Ok fine. In OCTOBER I finally lose hope and ask to cancel. I then get a shipping notification from USPS followed by a pretty unprofessional response that looks like someone sent it through their phone - spelling errors galore, no sign off, etc saying that my order was stopped because I asked to cancel but they were ready to ship. I say ok fine ship them. The tracking number they sent was never updated, and it is now March with no update or sign of my order...TLDR: I ordered several pairs of shoes over a year ago and have gotten little to no update from the company, and when I have, it’s because I emailed them first.

Sharing my Modern Vice experience….a friend in the entertainment industry introduced me to MV last year so I’ve been fascinated with their site. Being local, I took the opportunity to visit their showroom/factory in the Garment District. I’m still smiling. The experience was one that I didn’t know existed in NYC. A factory adjoined to their awesome showroom. I was fortunate to have been introduced to MV’s Founder/Designer, Jordan Adoni. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a factory tour from Jordan as he passionately took the time to introduce me to their amazing craftsman, Ricardo, as he was hand-making shoes, his attention to detail was phenomenal. It was so refreshing to see such a vibrant multi-cultural team actually enjoying their jobs and colleagues. I can see why they have so many raving fans and return business. It doesn’t end here – it was truly my lucky day when Sarah advised they had my red Nikki boots in my size in stock and I walked out with them! I had been stalking them on the MV site for a while and loved the rock and roll vibe. They are such a great quality and value for the money. Especially that I could see how they were made by hand – no industrialized factory assembly line here. Lastly, as a native New Yorker, I felt really good about supporting our local business.

Since I discovered Modern Vice boots last December, this company has become my go-to brand for boots. I am lucky to live only an hour from NYC; I was able to tour the factory, meet the shoemakers, and even met Jordan, the owner, who ensured that I was personally fitted for the correct size. I have three pairs of super-stylish boots (and more on order) and get tons of compliments whenever I wear them! My feet are slightly wide so for the first time in my life, I have boots that fit properly without pinching my toes (or sizing up just to get the right width). I am truly a customer for life.Modern Vice is a small company and the process to craft boots by hand is time-consuming. They have been overwhelmed since the holidays so some orders are taking longer to fulfill, including mine. But these boots are totally worth the wait. For anyone complaining about trying to reach Customer Service, please send a PM on Facebook or Instagram; they will usually reply within 24-48 hours. This company is legitimate and is not trying to rip off anyone.

Let’s start out with I have purchased two pairs of boots from this company. I absolutely LOVE them. I am a hairstylist and stand on my feet 8+ hours a day and can wear my boots no sweat. Customer service however, is deplorable. With my last order somehow the coupon code didn’t go through so instead of paying 319 for my shoes I paid 789. BIG DIFFERENCE. I IMMEDIATELY called and spoke to an Asian woman about what happened. She asked for my order number and told me she would credit me the difference.....cool. Weeks went by and no credit. I have called in excess of 14 times, emailed and still nothing. I am wondering who I even spoke to in the first place? Now I have to get my bank involved so let’s see if they can get through to them. 👎🏻

I am new to the fashion/shoe industry and went to Modern Vice private Label for my shoe designs. From the moment we walked into the midtown manhattan factory and met with Jordan and Lauren we were blown away. The overall experience of the design studio to the customer service was exceptional. Jordan and Lauren have a very cool design style that make you feel inspired. Their approach was relaxed but comprehensive which made me feel very at ease to partner with Modern Vice. I really love my Modern Vice boots. These boots look new even 4 years later! I have bought a total of 8 pairs of Modern Vice Boots and I am super happy with each pair. They are soo freaking cool and super comfortable, the leather from inside and out are so soft I dont even wear socks. The leather comes from a place in Italy and then all the boots are hand made in a factory in NYC. If you have a chance I highly recommend visiting the factory. I was starting to get doubtful that I would even receive my boots since it had almost been a year that I had ordered. I was on a quick trip to NYC and decided to reach out to Modern Vice to see if they would be able to help me out. They said to stop by and they would help me out somehow. When I got there, The Staff there was PHENOMENAL. They didn’t have the particular boot Style I ordered since they get a lot of their material from Italy(another place that covid hit hard) but they were still able to hook me up with another pair of beautiful boots. I am so thankful and happy with how they helped me out. Having physically been there I was able to see how well made their shoes are. Their team was meticulously making each pair of boots by hand. Seeing the process of how long it takes to produce a quality pair of handmade boots I completely understand now why orders are taking so long. Covid slowed everything down especially in NYC since Covid hit NY hard as it was the epicenter to the US. Rest assured everyone, they are working very hard to get everyone’s orders out, please don’t lose hope, and be very patient. I promise you it’s worth the wait!!!!

I just left this review on another site. I feel it’s worthy of repetition.I died and went to boot heaven! I fell in love when I saw the boots as an ad on social media. Then thought I need to check them out. I seriously feel lucky to only be a few train stops away. Jordan, the owner was so incredibly gracious and helpful. I have an issue with my left foot from a motorcycle accident and need my boot to be wider all around. He wouldn’t let me leave until it was perfect. I’m beyond happy with the service and how hands on he is. He has a great team there as well. I worked with Yaro and she’s absolutely fabulous. I must admit I have an obsession with boots. Modern Vice without a doubt has some of the most amazing and unique designs. I now own several pairs and see more in my future! Ordered boots in November and EIGHT MONTHS later received very little communication about the status, considering I had empathy with the mess of Covid-19. Theyre scammy and gives you the run around. I asked for a refund still didnt get it. Had to go through bank.

I got The Original Bolt an these are rocknroll perfection. I swear you feel different when you wear these. Cant wait to get these in more colors! If you can, do go to their NYC store thats also a factory, its an experience. Had two pairs of shoes made recently. Love them both so much! Had an issue with one pair and they fixed them for me so, so quickly. They’re perfect now! Totally worth the wait, be patient they’re made to order and sometimes can take a while.

Order placed in March 2019. After countless attempts to contact via email, Facebook, Twitter and IG, they stated the boots would delayed due to COVID because their factory shut down.They were ordered a year before COVID would have affected them. After a few more weeks of inconsistent communication their rep said they “guess the boots were lost” and offered to remake them and re-ship and it would take a couple more months. Hell no, Modern Vice, I’ll take a refund instead. Finally received a refund 8/22/2020.

This business deserves significantly more than just five stars. I had been pining for the bright red original bolt boot for months. I finally decided to purchase them and was ELATED to pull the bright red patent leather out of the box about six weeks later. I put them on and they fit my foot PERFECTLY. The only problem was...I have wide calves. I couldn’t get them to zip up all the way. Hurt but not giving up: I wore them to work in the hopes I could stretch them out a little and break them in. Either way the quality was amazing and I was already getting compliments. I decided to reach out to their Instagram page to see if they had recommendations for stretching out the boots or what some alternatives were for my thick legs. Instead I was met with the offer to send me a completely new pair of boots custom made to fit my calf. “Wear and enjoy the ones you have until I can get a new pair sent out to you” they said.Read that again.Customer service is not run like this anymore. I was flabbergasted and honestly felt like what I was being told was too good to be true. What care! What craft! What quality!I know they’re pricier than what you find at the big box stores and outlet malls but for the pure concern and enthusiasm I have been shown alongside how absolutely beautiful the product is: I think I will only own Modern Vice shoes until I die.

I went into Modern Vice in NYC and was immediately greeted by the head designer himself and he took me into the showroom to look at all the different styles. I proceeded the custom make a pair of shoes and was very helpful and gave me his opinion and then he showed me where they handmake all the shoes! What an experience! I can’t wait for my custom made boots!!!

I would highly recommend Modern Vice boots. I got my pair of disco boots in silver and they are beautifully made. You have to wait some time for these boots but they tell you that before you buy them. It’s worth the wait. I own two pairs and I plan to buy more. Thanks guys!

I had been dreaming about buying from Modern Vice for so long. I decided to get them for myself for Christmas, and I’m in love. Just ordered my second pair. It is SO worth it to spend the money on this company. They not only make an amazing product, they have great customer service. ♡

Customer service is very frustrating and not nearly as professional as the brand is presented. Because of Covid-19 I received my shoes in October that were ordered January 4th, and they arrived with a nick in the sole. Many emails went unanswered about an exchange and once I tried to call they argued that the nick was normal because they are custom but I was just very put off by the whole experience. And after asking for a refund instead of exchange they wouldnt change the order and Im still waiting on the new shoes.

I got my first pair of Modern Vince boots. I need a different size. Supposedly free return. I cannot get them to communicate with me. So I am going to have to pay myself to return. I am cancelling my other orders. I do not want this hassle. BUYER BEWARE! Their customer service isnon-existent. Such a shame. Their boots are lovely.Since they will not answer their phone or communicate with me in any other way, I want it on the record that I am returning Order 1100 with the fourteen days requirement. I need to be reimbursed for the shipping. I am cancelling Order #10998, Order#10999 and Order #11848 as of today.

I ordered these boots last December (pre-Covid) and never received them. Tried contacting customer service many times and got no answer. Finally disputed with my credit card company to get my money back. I was warned by a friend that the company was terrible but Instagram had me believing it would be fine for me. Awful company.

Bought a pair of the 5 Buckle Jett Classics. Beautiful boots! Were super comfortable as soon as I put them on, felt like they had already worn in. Lovely soft leather, and nicely finished. These should last for some time!Delivery was supposed to be to my address in LA, but they let me pick them up from the factory in NYC when I was there.Will definitely buy from these guys again.

I love working with MV! I am a private client customer of Modern Vice, and commissioned them to make my first prototype for my new private label. I wanted to work with a local atelier in NYC so that I could be up close and personal with the entire process and also meet the people making my product. Recently got another pair of the most fabulous custom built shoes. The fit was perfect and I got to pick out the color of my leather for these shoes. So far I have been complemented many times by strangers. Loving these shoes.

Not sure if things have changed at this place recently to have made my experience so positive, but I will say I was VERY hesistant to place an order based on a lot of the reviews. However, my experience was beyond pleasant.Not only did I receive my order on time, I got it a whole week BEFORE the first expected delivery day (40 days from placing the order, I got it in 32.) Shipping was super fast and they came in a huge box.I ordered a half size up in the Special Edition Croc (in matte leather) and they fit perfectly. The quality of the leather is amazing, but a little more supple than I expected. They are very light but feel sturdy. Everything feels high quality and special about these boots. I plan on taking care of them forever!!

I had been eyeing the Bolt boots online for awhile and when they went on sale, I snatched them up immediately. They are beautifully made and so unique. I needed some more room in the ankle area and they adjusted them for me. It was easy to communicate with them through instagram and although it took about a month to receive them, they were well worth the wait. The staff is very kind and accommodating.

No doubt the customer service is really poor, and shipping times are terrible. However, after countless emails and a phone call and a lot of following up, the boots I ordered in February finally arrived. I love the boots, and they look great! I would order again if the overall experience was better, but as of now, I’m not confident in handing over that much money again. Great looking product, bad customer service. If they can afford to scale up their customer service and their likely understaffed studio, I think it will really pay off for them in the long run. I hope they can turn it around!

I love this company so much. I love unique shoes and shoes that are able to be works of art and not just something you wear day to day. These shoes are totally that, theyre custom made to whatever your foot is like. They fit amazing, theyre super high quality and all around great shoes. I can not stop raving on and on about them, just take my money already.

It’s something magical when I find something handmade, that’s badass looking and sooo comfortable. So happy I found Modern Vice! Can’t wait for the next pair!

Really wanted to love this company but this has been the worst shopping experience. Unbelievable considering the price point of these boots. I ordered a custom pair that were supposed to take between 45-60 business days. That time came and went so I asked for an update. They said they’d be ready the following week. Two more weeks went by, then they said they’d be ready at the end of that week. Three weeks after my original conversation with them, they finally shipped. However, they shipped to the wrong address. Someone at their company changed my shipping address to the Spotify headquarters in New York. The boots were delivered there, a place I have no contacts at, that is unreachable by phone. I talked to Modern Vice and first they accused me of entering the wrong address. I have a receipt with the correct address listed to prove that is not the case. Then they said they’d wait until the package came back to re-ship. Considering it was marked delivered and signed for at the wrong address, that seemed unlikely. But somehow a few days later Modern Vice emailed me to say they had the boots back and were shipping them the next day (Thursday 12/19). It’s now the following Monday and I asked them what the tracking number was for the new shipment because I hadn’t heard anything. They then told me they were still waiting to get the original package back and said someone will call me. Why then was I told they were there the week before? Why have I had to hound their customer service dozens of times only to be fed lies and run arounds? I’ve asked for a refund on several occasions now and have been ignored. All I wanted was the boots but apparently I’ll never get those so someone there needs to step up and give me my money back. I’ve spent several hours of time now trying to reach Modern Vice, trying to reach USPS, trying to reach the Spotify office to return the boots. This is CRAZY and has been overall a very expensive and very upsetting experience.

Modern Vice boots are absolutely beautiful. Mine were in the wrong size and I went down to their factory and the whole team, including the shoemaker, spent the time to talk to me about what I wanted and needed, and the shoes turned out beautiful and fit my feet well. They have great sales often and theyre good people. Definitely worth an in-person visit if youre in SoHo.I ordered online and had them sent to a friends house because international shipping was about $50 CAD (before duties) and had the second pass sent there too. I wasnt in any particular rush to get them (because I had to wait til I was back in the city) so that may have worked in my favour. I would say go in person to the NYC store, because it seems much trickier to buy online.They are very well made boots but they do take time. I also wish their inventory was more accomodating to larger sizes, I got my usual size and it was teeny tiny. I know sizing differs, but there is usually some degree of standardization for footwear. Ive never had to buy wide footwear before. I still give top marks because the customer service and quality. Theyre fabu.

Ive been wearing Modern Vices Santa Monica snakeskin shoes for years now and theyve become my favorite pair. I had them recently repaired at the NYC showroom and they were extremely accommodating and had my shoes ready for pickup within a week.

I absolutely love this company. The shoes are amazing, and the customer service is A+. Had a very minor problem with one of the many boots Ive purchased and they took great care of me. Good things are worth the wait. I am a loyal and forever customer

Don’t buy from this store. I ordered a pair of boots in November that didn’t come in until mid April. Their customer service is awful. After them being two months late, they stopped responding to all of my emails, and no one would even pick up my calls. I emailed for months asking for a refund, no response. They finally shipped after I’d already asked for a full refund. I finally got them, but they’re so narrow I can’t even get my feet in them. I’d totally return them, but I don’t want to have to go through the hassle of communicating with this company again, so I guess I’m stuck with very expensive shoes that I can’t wear. I should’ve read the reviews before ordering from this site, don’t make the same mistake I did.TL;DR this company has awful customer service, don’t buy from them.

Ordered a pair of boots 4 months ago and I have yet to receive them. After trying to contact them several times I finally got an email back saying my order would ship in 10-15 days. That never happened and now they won’t return any of my emails or calls. It’s impossible to get ahold of them and in the rare occasions they do respond they just feed you lies. I was forced to dispute it with my credit card company. This company is a total scam and it’s so disappointing because I really love their products. Don’t waste your money!

Cool little shoe store. Its more than just that, thought! I got a tour of the factory and it was amazeballs! If you go to the store, its factory direct prices so you can get a really great deal. Im definitely taking my girlfriend next time and I know shell love it :)

I know these boots are supposedly custom made and thus take 5-8 weeks to arrive; however I placed an order in mid November and I still have not gotten my boots.I was so in love with the boots when I bought them that I was somewhat forgiving when they delayed. However now it is March, and no signs of the boots.I’ve reached out multiple times — through email, they never replied, and on the phone after the sixth call they did — was promised the boots to arrive two weeks ago, and still no boots.The second round of calls I made last week, I finally got tracking information, of which the status has not changed from “label created, not yet in system”, and I am so sick of this brand.I never leave reviews, but I do NOT recommend you buy anything off of this website. Ever.UPDATE: I’ve asked for my money back, and I will not be shopping here again, I suggest you don’t either.

Cool boots. Deceiving web page.I bought a pair of boots a month ago and I paid for priority shipping to receive them in 10 business days. When I received the confirmation email they said it would take 30 to 45 business days for my order to arrive (they make you pay before telling you that!!!!).I’m still waiting and no one has given me a proper answer.

I have three pairs of boots by this company, and they are total works of art. The first time they shipped, it took less than the 6-8 week time estimate. Unfortunately, I had to exchange them for another size and that made the wait longer. The customer service was super great, and the staff was always really helpful when I called with questions about my order status. My only suggestion is that if you are ordering from the USA, maybe size up. I regularly wear a 9.5 in heels and flats, and a 10 in boots. I initially ordered a size 40, and the boots were too tight in the toes. I exchanged for a 41 and they are perfect.

Truly amazing boots. I have never had more people comment on a pair of shoes. The quality is so above anything else Ive had with so many nice little details: from the gold lining to the zipper to the box they came in. Ive owned some pretty nice shoes before but these are above and beyond.

I have been waiting for two months for my refund after talking with multiple customer service representatives who assured me id see the money back in my account within two days. These shoes are beautifully made, but their sizing is extremely wrong. I couldnt get my feet into the shoes even though I sized up. I am really disappointed with their customer service at this point and am unsure if Ill ever see my money back.

My boots are stunning! Good to keep in mind that each pair of boots is made to order, so the wait is long, but worth it!! They are very accommodating in store and via Instagram!

Just got my first pair of NIKKI boots and they are amazing! I ordered a 6.5 an they are perfectly true to size. I was worried that my shoes wouldnt arrive by the time I left for vacation, but they really went above and beyond to make sure I got them in time and were very quick responding to me when I messaged them on Instagram. When they realized that my order had been delayed in the shipping department (the 1 day delay would have meant that I didnt get my shoes in time)- they didnt downplay my panic, but instead tracked them down and had them personally messengered over to me! Cant wait to break these babies in and pick my next pair!

A complete scam.Update: Finally received my order after a total of 13 weeks (THREE MONTHS). The boots are impossible to put on. I have never had this issue before and I am not overweight in the slightest. The fit is all wrong. I own multiple pair of Modern Vice boots. Their boots are, admittedly, spectacular. Very well made, and beautiful and unique.However.This is the most bullsh*t company I have ever interacted with. It has been MONTHS since I ordered my boots and they straight up refuse to answer any of my emails, calls, or live chats (that have a guaranteed response within 24 hours).And despite the fact that they already have insane wait times for their stuff to arrive, and are late on like, everyones order, THEY ARE STILL RUNNING SALES ONCE A MONTH.Get your act together, Modern Vice. This is absurd.

Its been over THREE MONTHS since I placed my order. No shipping info, no word on whats going on. Ive sent them quite a few emails and sometimes Ill get a useless response over a week later. Two weeks ago, they said they would finally ship last week. Of course that didnt happen, and I havent heard from them. I sent yet another email and Im still waiting to see what theyll come up with now. Cool boots, but not worth the hassle.

Unfortunately I have to add to the numerous one star reviews here. Ultimately, there are just tio many problems with Modern Vice. They are constantly running sales but clearly dont have the product to back it up.I placed an ordrt back in April. April 1st to be specific (April fools, amirite?). It is now mid-august and I have not heard anything from Modern Vice. I contacted them twice, and have received absolutely no response. Its reached the point where I had to dispute with my bank.Dont waste your time here. Buy your cool boots somewhere else.

Just left the Modern Vice factory- Jordan and Jara couldnt have been lovelier... I hyperventilated looking at all the shoes adorning the racks like casual works of art... I was able to try on different sizes and customize the Jett boots that I ordered back during Memorial Day and am now more excited than ever to get them. Plus, I even walked out with another pair of stunningly gorgeous boots that were in stock and just waiting for me! People, ignore the negative reviews! These boots are absolutely worth waiting for! Where else can you get quality hand made boots at a price that you can actually afford? Thanks Jordan and Jara, it was lovely meeting you both, and youd better believe youll be seeing me again!!

No new story to report here. Ive had the same experience as many other reviewers: ordered in December, nothing received still, empty promises when Ive contacted them, and serious lack of customer service. Also, Ive only received a response on about 25% of my inquiries.I didnt want to believe that this company is a scam, because their boots look so rad. Too bad none of us ever get to experience these phantom boots.Ive contacted Amazon Pay to get them to reimburse me my money and to get them to remove their contract with this terrible company. The representative from Amazon Pay said that they can see why theyre asking customers to wait so long, because after a certain amount of time, you cant file a claim with Amazon Pay to get your refund. In other words, if you keep waiting and you paid with Amazon Pay, Modern Vice can withhold your boots AND money until its too late to try to get reimbursed through Amazon Pay. So, DONT WAIT TO GET YOUR REFUND!

Love this shoe boutique! Got the most amazing shoes made custom for me at no extra price. Met the owner and the guys who made my shoes. They sized me and let me choose what leather I wanted my shoes made from. Great price for the quality.

No one will respond to a simple question: Where are my boots? I have emailed; messaged through their site; tried to call; and even responded negatively to an Instagram post trying to get their attention. They have taken my money, and will not communicate with me on the status of my boots. I wish I would have seen these reviews before I ordered ...

This company is poorly run. Don’t expect to get your product within 3 months if at all. They also don’t communicate with you at all and will ignore any attempt you try to get a response. After paying ~$300 for something, I expect to at least get a response. No option of cancelo g order or getting a refund. It’s a scam.

One of the sickest shoe boutiques ive ever come across, hands down. In my first visit there I was taken on a full tour and was introduced to the shoe makers who would then be making my custom leather chukkas. Jordan and the team couldnt have been more helpful and were able to match me with the exact shoe I was looking for.I highly recommend visiting the Modern Vice factory to all fashion lovers.

Sometimes you throw caution to the wind and buy online and hope for the best. Best customer care from Sylvia and my boots fit perfectly. I cant say enough about every aspect of my purchase. Im a customer for life.

Im not surprised to find a surplus of one star reviews. Ordered shoes at the beginning of April. Its now late August and they just arrived. Asked customer service for an update at their maximum 60 business day estimate and they said it would take another 10-20 days and a Well let you know kind of deal. As far as Im concerned they are extremely under staffed and relatively unprofessional. For how much these shoes cost, I expect a higher level of customer service and for them to uphold a certain standard- especially when they are setting the expectation for creation of the shoes and shipping. Overall the shoes are very high quality. I ordered the Palo Altos and would recommend going a half size up. I did and they fit perfectly. I will probably buy from them again, but at least this time I know that I should expect a 5 month wait.Update: I loved the Palo Altos because they are super comfortable and well made. I decided to go for it again with another Modern Vice order - this time the Jetts. I placed the order in December of 2019. Today is August 18, 2020. Its very difficult to be patient when its hard to get a reply or update. I understand that COVID hit New York hard, but is it really that difficult to update the people who are keeping you in business? I havent called my bank yet, as I am still hopeful to receive the shoes I ordered.

Horrible!! Waste of time and money. NEVER responded to any of my attempts at asking where in the world my order was until 4 months later they said they were experiencing technical difficulties and allow 24-48 hours for a response. Too late I already filed a claim and got my money back weeks ago.

Absolutely love my Modern Vice BH&BR boots! I have two pair and love them both so much. The style? So unique and really well crafted! I always have people asking me where I got them!! Im definitely a big fan of the Breaking Hearts & Burning Rubber brand. The Vibram soles are incredible!! Whenever I ride my motorcycle, I know that the soles will hold true and be reliable. Ill continue to recommend Modern Vice to my motorcycle friends and fashion mavens.

I ordered the Santa Monica Peep Toe Boots December 13. By the time March 20th rolled around, I had been promised for several weeks boots are ready, they are going out friday. or sorry there was a delay with the production, they are going out monday. Telling me that they were ready time and time again. Promising me they were getting shipped.Even the ceo text me personally to tell me he would send me a free pair of shoes as an apology for the trouble. Given the time that had passed, I ordered the boots in early December and at the end of March they still had not shown up after they claimed id have them within a certain time period. I was really looking forward to my shoes, but being lied to by customer service and then also the ceo over the promise of the arrival of the shoes, enough was enough.The ceo originally offered me a refund or I could take the free pair. So i accepted the free pair thinking that maybe those would show up at least. Those also didnt show up.I text him to in March to let him know that I had disputed the credit card charge and he blew up my phone about hurting a small business and how he had offered me the free pair, as though that was doing me a favor.Even though I should have had the shoes in January.Needless to say, if you cant deliver on your promises to your customers, dont be in business.End of story.I was really looking forward to my shoes as well and had sent several friends to their showroom via social media, who had also custom ordered shoes from there. Never again.

I have to say I had one of the best experiences of my life today when I visited the modern vice HQ in the fashion district. I already owned a pair of their boots and love them but when I saw the sample sale going on I could not resist. When I walked in and saw all the boots I had been eying on Instagram for months I fell more in love with this company. Then, Sara, the woman in charge of getting the (incredible) leather from Italy started chatting with me about the boots. I admitted I already had a pair I loved from them and could not wait to get another. She helped me look through the boots and even offered to help me customize a pair!! Then, she gave me a private tour of their incredible factory.A word to any negative review due to time: these boots are truly handmade by hardworking people in New York City with the highest quality leather. They make a maginificent boot that is worth both the wait and investment.Thank you again to Sara! She was so sweet to me, and today was an experience I will never forget.

Ordered boots on February 11th and still havent received them. Ive messaged, emailed, DMed through IG and have heard nothing. Will make one last attempt by calling. If no resolution will report to my bank as a scam.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would say that their customer service is terrible, but there is none. Ive been trying to return my order because the calves are much too small for me, but no one has responded to my emails or messages over social media. So, if youre a runner, your calves will be too big for these boots. And I guess my girlfriend is getting these boots for Christmas, since I cant seem to get anyone to accept my return!
