This place is so calming and I love all of the things they have! If you’re a fan of a kpop group, I definitely recommend this place. The prices are a little high so be prepared to spend $$.I wanted to save money so I got 2 items each for $4.95.I got the BT21 Koya stickers and a Suga Permissoon to Dance button/pin.
This was actually one of the first places I went to years ago when I went to manhattan with my friends by ourselves in middle school, I went here again and theres a lot more variety compared to 2017 and 2018. This is perfect if youre a K-Pop fan or into anything Korean In general. They have books, skincare, K-Pop merchandise of all kinds and Korean Comics (Manhwa)
The stuff are cheaply made, especially the merchandise. The albums are like the only quality stuff around there but it’s like $50~$150 😭 if you’re wanting to look for nice stuff but don’t have the money, don’t go here unless you want some cheap pins LOL. This offbrand BTS shirt is like um just see for yourself
Lovely place and people! Even though Ive never been to Korea I feel a little bit of it! I love this diversity and different cultures, we all come from the same Creator, this is wonderful!
I only stayed for about 5 minutes but the store’s really cute ㅠㅠ before you walk in there are bts posters on the door for butter, and when you walk around there are unofficial and official merchandise for kpop groups such as got7, twice, bts (including their bt21 collection), blackpink, seventeen, nct, exo, txt… the list goes on! (i think i saw an iu poster too!!) be aware though, i’ve heard that the store overcharges for the albums! there is also a wide range of korean books and manhwas in the center, such as manhwas for the webtoon 여신강림 (true beauty)! if you’re interested in kpop or stationery, i recommend stopping by koryo books!
There is a great assortment of K-pop albums and merch at this bookstore! The prices are a bit high but there is a lot to see – theres even more BT21 merchandise than the LINE Friends store has! Definitely a worthwhile stop for any K-pop fan.
Items are extremely overpriced. I buy here at my own discretion. I overhead the older clerk telling a sales woman to watch two young girls by the albums. It made me uncomfortable. I understand shoplifting is an issue but just rubbed me the wrong way. I come inside sparingly now and shop online or at Mandu which is also overprices but a little less..
The items in the store are very fascinating and exciting to look at, but the Korean women employee was so rude. I was recording the skin care product aisle and she told me “no recording allowed” so I kindly put my phone away and she had the audacity to roll her eyes at me... that women needs to fix her attitude and not display her negative energy on customers and before entering the store there were no sign at all that read “no recording allowed”. I still bought myself a nice book mark tho.
Always have what I need a bit pricey but love this place must go for all your Korean needs
Prices are great here if you don’t mind spending more than usual 👍
Great place to buy K-pop merch. Good number of Twice merch which is what Im always looking for in a time when the market is flooded with BTS (but they have a lot of that too.
This store is literally amazing. If you are a K-Pop fan that lives in New York, and you want to find a K-pop album, then go to Koryo Books because they have a bunch of albums. The employees are very nice, and Im glad to say that this store is always the best. Im so glad that I found this store to be the best of K-pop store.
Sells unofficial kpop merch (photocards, sweatshirts, folders but the photocard design is entirely off and are like instagram screenshots (with the insta layout and everything)Sells popsockets that have pretty terrible designsSells BTS albums, a few of TXTs, How You Like That (Blackpink), and the like but they are pretty overpriced and i recommend going to a target or ordering on weverse (BTS, TXT, etcs official shop) instead. Also sells Memories of 2019 and Learn Korean with TinyTan but again, SUPER OVERPRICED.Also sells the True Beauty OST thing, and one other OST for a kdrama that I dont recognize.Sells the book versions of manhwa! (Something that I was pretty excited about, but I cant read korean so i didnt buy them). They have the physical versions of Your Throne/To be you for a day, Who Made Me A Princess (5 volumes), Death is the Only Ending for A Villainess, and The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Dukes Mansion, and another one I think I saw on Webtoons but dont read. Theyre priced at around $30.Also sells Korean skincare stuff but it wasnt too exciting
They have a huge selection, even of underrated groups like bvndit and rocket punchi got rarer loona albums (hyunjins solo and love and evil)they even had older albums like snsd’s i got a boy
They carry a wide collection of K-pop items from music albums, magazines, photo books to other merchandises. The shelves are very organized and you can find what you want very easily.Price is a bit too steep though, so I only purchased a few times from them to support my fave - SNSD. But hey what do you expect? This is midtown.
It has many of the best webtoon comic series in korean for manhwa lovers and also a section of books for korean learners.
Quite a selection but I honestly had no idea it was a Korean book store until I got closer and noticed all the Korean shops around it. Oh well, still a good selection of merchandise at what appeared to be good prices.
I’m a new costumer and I love my Kpop music that First time order I purchased 4 albums at first they gave me wrong twice album but it got fix it very quickly and the second time bought one album it came out well it for birthday present for one my sister’sI honestly great service great protection over packaging I honestly I’m glad I came into this website I live in New Jersey so I can’t wait to visit this store in person eventuallyI would definitely recommend this place
Great selection of books! Wide variety of products from kpop to traditional Korean items.
A LOT of Kpop merch and stuff like that, theres also a bunch of books but they are in korean!
I came here a lot during the summer of 2019 the employees were so nice a bit expensive but totally worth it just wished there were more kpop albums other than bts I want to come back for more
They had LITERALLY EVERYTHING Kpop related. Lots of Kpop albums and exclusive korean kpop merch. They had korean beauty products, korean stationery. If youre a BTS fan than this one place you absolutely have to visit. It put the line friends store to shame. I found an album from 5 years ago that I couldnt find anywhere else. The space is a little tight and If you dont enjoy kpop culture, than this isnt for you. But if youre looking for discontinued kpop albums than youre golding.
Little overpriced, but definitely fun to go!Theres literature in Korean, as well as books for studying language and exam preparation ($18+);k-pop merchandise (post cards $10-12, socks $9, key chains $6, post stumps ~$12, t-shirts, pens $10, calendars ~$20, sticky notes ~$7, wall posters, 12count - $25, etc.)
Great service. And good quality
My friend Legit cried about how much BTS stuff they had!! We also went like 3 times!! It was worth the price!!
Ive been a kpop fan for over 7 years, and back then finding stores that sold kpop albums was very difficult, but this store is a true gem. They have a good selection of albums/artists and some come with a free poster. They also have poster merchandise, stickers, etc.HOWEVER, be warned. You will break the bank here- if youre looking to buy a lot of albums, prepare to spend a hefty amount. The albums are overpriced, especially if it comes from a popular artist. You can spend close to $200+ on only 3-4 albums and to me i dont think its really worth the price anymore now that places like target and barnes and noble sell them for cheaperI still give them a 4 star rating because of their good selection of albums, even some that are not in print anymore (those id pay a good amount for)
Four years ago, because of my daughter I started to listen to K-Pop music and watch K-Dramas. On our last visit to New York City, Koryo Books was on her list as a place that she had to visit. And when we arrived at Korea Town I found out why.Beside K-Pop music albums, this shop has Korean cosmetics, posters, books and more.So if you like korean beauty products or is a K-Pop fan looking for a place to buy them you already found it.People are friendly and the shop is clean and new.You may find some good bargains here but in general the prices are not the cheapest. We cant blame them for this. Its NYC. Sale Taxes are higher and the cost with staff and to maintain a shop in Manhattan is not cheap, so lets just be thankful and enjoy this place as a portal we can cross to find and buy all the products direct from South Korea in NYC.Fighting!
The selection isnt great. I would consider this place to be a Black pink and BTD store. If your looking for other Korean artist this might not be the place for you.
I always enjoy going to Koryo Books. Im not from the area but whenever I am in the area, I make it a point to stop by! The staff are very nice and friendly, and explain things well!
I want to go here but i’m not really good at speaking korean, so i wanted to know if the workers speak english??
I got a txt blue hour album didn’t come with poster very disappointing
For all you kpop and Korean products lovers, this is 100% the place🥰.
I went to get the bts butter cream version but i didn’t know the poster came outside the album and they gave me the poster for the peach version album. I was too scared to ask for the other version of the poster so I just left with the poster they gave me even though I already have it. I’m really sad 😔
There were a lot of good things in this store, from albums to stickers. The prices are great a bit expensive for me but it was amazing, I would recommend it
A good store if you like kpop or looking for Korean products!
Had a great experience purchasing an album from koryo books! thank you very much :)
Best place to get K pop affiliation stuff and memorabilia of South Korea.
Well was nice place clean very organise and the attendants they r kind and good
I love visiting koryo books because they have lots of kpop mercy! Specifically BTS/BT21/TinyTan Merch!!
Most albums are $30 and above which is okay i guess because of shipping but my friends and i bought an ode by seventeen and we didn’t even get what half the album is supposed to come with, which are a mini poster, stickers, and a circle card. it really shouldn’t be a big deal but we are not getting what we payed for.
They really have a little bit of everything. Clearly they are very popular. My only complaint was that there were soooooo many other customers in the small spaces of the store that it was almost impossible to peacefully look for the albums I wanted, but that is not there fault really. The staff was very polite and helped to point out where things were located with a smile on their faces despite the over crowding from the surge of customers. I really commend their customer service under pressure.
Staff is friendly and atmosphere is upbeat and nice. The albums are overpriced (understandably) but any naïve KPOP fan would think them reasonable. (You’re much better off ordering them online where you can get them for about half the price minus shipping). There is also K-POP related merchandise. In addition, there is a small selection of Korean books in the middle of the store.
Love this store in Ktown
IT HAS SOO MUCH KPOP MERCH!! I LOVE THE EXPERIENCE AND ILL DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN!!
They have a lot of books, not only that they have a BTS merchandises. K-pop fun must go.
My kids went crazy there! They loved it
I like this place, they so much stuff that you dont find In other stores.
Loved this place!
Love everything there!
They have a very wide selection of albums from many groups including: TWICE, LOONA, BTS, GOT7, ATEEZ, IZ*ONE, etc. i come here probably once a week to expand my twice and loona collection, and i always have an amazing experience. would definitely recommend.however, one thing that you should look out for is the prices. the cheapest album i bought was a loona albums for at least $23 +tax. the most expensive being a twice album for like $32 +tax. don’t buy more than 3 albums unless you’re trying to spend $100+all of their albums are certified as well. no fakes.
So many cool things! I liked coming to this shop in particular because they have a HUGE variety of Kpop merchandise. I’ve actually never seen so many different artists and groups in one store before. I would definitely recommend coming to check this place out. The only con was that the prices are a little high. Understandable since they’re ordering internationally but figured I would note it.
Love this place! Has so many authentic Korean books, items and toys and not tho mention KPOP merch!!😍😍😍 Took the one star off cause some stuff are overpriced.
Basically a Kpop album haven, the books are breath taking as well (coming from a book lover)
Best place to get kpop albums 😆
A lot of variety and merch! Overall very good store only thing is the prices are a little high but thats understandable, I will definitely visit this store a lot
Great for kpop fans! The store is also right next to a Korean beauty store so its practically two for one. Naturally theres more albums/magazines then shirts and hats but its Great whether youre there for something specific its not so easy to find them, but this is a great place for both tourist and locals. The store is also great for dropping by if youre searching for Korean language books or recipe books(?)
So so clean and neat with nice people. All the books and also a ton of KPop albums. The safety guidelines are clear amd easy to follow. Always a pleasant visit when in KTown NYC
Incredible artist variety! The prices are a little expensive, but definitely worth it.
KPop heaven on 32nd St. Friendly staff and tons of merch.
This book store is well laidout and incorporates many modern Korean exports such as K-pop albums and merchandise as well as a section with assorted Asian goods and a rather large beauty selection. Further, there is a boutique clothing section on the lofted floor. However, many of the main products, the books are extremely overpriced. When I mean, extremely, I mean a 200% markup on the list price. For example, the Talk to Me in Korean Level 2 Lesson Book lists for about $13 and sells for about 16 on Amazon. In Koryo, it ran a whopping $26! And this appeared to be one of the more reasonably priced books in the series as some were approaching $100 for a single book. Many of the other products in the store seem much more reasonably priced, but note everything still has a significant markup. For example, any of the albums sell for around $5-10 more than competitors. For these exorbitant prices, I would at least want a great customer service experience, which they do not provide. The customer service is very bare. Not awful, just nothing notable. Beware: items are non-refundable; items can only be exchanged for in-store credit!
I went to buy some kpop albums and I had a great experience. Cashier was very nice.
They are very friendly all stuff from BTS. I love it.will come back.
Overall this store is amazing ! recently I went with my bestfriend to shop for some albums and i’m amazed . It has so many albums, cute accessories, pins, stuff like that . they also have books which i didn’t get to see but hopefully next time i do . It may be a little pricey but it’s worth it if you want to shop albums in person or anything kpop related 💗.
Love love love this place! You want your perfect dose of electric Korean items, including a lot of things K-pop then look no further. Sharing a space with makeup (obviously) you will stay longer than you expected in this cute little store.
K-pop heaven.
Great selection of kpop albums, but a little expensive. I blame it on importing prices and Manhattan rent.
Love this place! Came here several times. Theres a large variety of K-POP merchandise. They sell albums, posters, bracelets, pop sockets, face masks, decorated tape, stickers, phone cases, and even more! Great place for K-POP fans. Ill never stop coming here.
Nice Korean Book Store. My little one loves BTS and they have all of their music, posters, etc. Most of the Korean K- Pop groups you can find their music, apparel, and miscellaneous items.
A unique collection of Korean music, movies, books, traditional cultural pieces, and toys.
Absolutely adore this store. Back in the day, it was a little haven/heaven for Kpop fans in NYC and allowed us to have an experience we could only find otherwise in South Korea itself. My first trip was in the summer of 2012 (I went to buy SHINee, Girls’ Generation, EXO and Boyfriend albums) and I’ve tried to stop by regularly ever since. I’ve purchased hundreds of trinkets and CDs since. A must + top recommended for Kpop, K-Drama, K-Fashion, K-Beauty and K-movie lovers!
One star is too much for this place. The two young ladies at the beauty section were extremely rude and I felt like they didn’t want to have any conversation with me. They were chit chatting while I was at the counter paying for my stuff and never had any eye contact with me. All they said was “27.75” and “insert your chip”. After I’ve finished the payment, they pushed my stuff to me over the counter and still didn’t look at me. They seem to be attentive to and occupied by something else because right after I’ve done with my payment while I was still at the counter, they left.
I love how they sell not only books but skin care and kpop stuff! Such a great place to go for loop items. Im going to come here more often🥰🥰
Loved the selection. Great place to get pretty much anything book, gift or paper. They have an amazing card section with stuff Id never even seen.
Great selection! Although I expected it to be a big bookstore and at least half the store was cosmetics and kbeauty items. Still, everything was reasonably priced and very good quality and there was a fine collection of handsome cutouts for my niece to pose with so I consider it time well spent.
Lively and inviting. Not a big selection on Korean language learning but decent enough. Lots of reasonably priced K-Pop merchandise.
They have a good collection of Korean books and albums. The albums are pricey. Youd be better off ordering online but its worth it if you dont wanna wait. They also have a beautiful collection of puzzles.
I went there yesterday (August 16th) and I honestly will be going there again when I go to New York again! 10/10 recommend visiting 😌
Great store! We went to look at the KPOP albums. So many groups to choose from!! Great variety of items. Lots of BT21 items too! Looking forward to going back soon!
With the trend into ebooks, Koryo Books is still going strong with their loyal neighborhood support. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I love the handwritten staff suggestions next to the showcase books. It has so much charm that you cant help get lost in their inventory of books! I will always buy my books from here.
Fun little bookstore with a beauty store in Korea town. Unfortunately, most things are priced on the high end.
