Really kind staff in this snug basement spot with a magical array of photography books. Dashwood also curates the bookstore at Gucci Wooster—go to both, it’s fun to see!

Just had my first and only experience with this business. I ordered something from their website of a photographer that I admire that he advertised on Instagram as a book. I ordered three copies of it because it seemed like a good price ($18 per copy) and well, because I like his work. I also paid $15 for shipping to Canada. What I received is what you can see in the attached pictures. Its literally 5 sheets of paper stapled together in the center and folded over. there is no cover, not protection, nothing to keep it intact.I contacted them and told them that I was unhappy with my purchase. The response was: sorry that you dont like it, you can send it back as long as its in mint condition, we wont cover your shipping cost. The declared customs value of this was $0.68 per copy, which I think is probably a fair value. I could have done a better job at my home printer with a screenshot of the images and it would have taken me 3 minutes to put together a cover to not make it an amateurish job like this.

A very well curated book store for photography and art books.Miwa is very sweet and will recommend books based on your tastes and likes. She has introduced me to many artists I would not have found on my own.I often come here for book signings or just to browse for inspiration. Its an easy place to spend a lot of money, dont be shocked when you see the prices. They have a great selection of rare, limited, and signed books of various editions. It is a wonderful store to start your dream library or find the perfect gift.

Secreted below grade, down a flight of exterior stairs at 33 Bond Street, this is the hip, East Village home for great art books. Intimate and cool, it is a frequent venue for art events. Pretend its our little secret.

Great photography bookstore! Definitely could use a better organization to make it easier to find stuff, but I have found the staff to be more than helpful on multiple occasions. Often find myself in a nice conversation with the staff or patrons. This are the businesses that make NYC awesome!

Great amount of selection, and the worker was very kind and knowledgable. Went in looking for a photo book and left with three at a good price. A great spot to pick up a zine or a more well known book.

The photography bookstore opened by the Japanese is not a big place, but there are many books. The photography books of various countries, many documentary photography, and very delicious shops.

In addition to most seemingly powerful photographic thick books, there are many anonymous booklets of photography, but, they can’t understand it, or they are too dark, and sex has become something to be revealed. Expensive has no logic,
