I was able to find a used PlayStation 5 at this location and was charged $1,089.00 for the console but still the console works great like new. It came with a store warranty so if anything was to happen to it I can always return it. Other then the price being too high I was pleased with the purchase and not have to worry about getting one before the coming holidays.

Cool store with books, manga, video games, and toys. Feels like you’re in Japan. Everything it more expensive than what you could find online which was disappointing (e.g. they sell used Switch games for $60 that you could buy new for $30). But still fun to browse. The only thing that is w good deal here is the used books section which is upstairs, where most books are only a few dollars. I would only come here if you wanted to browse the books, as nothing else is worth buying here imo. Also the lady at the checkout was kinda rude.

My older son loves Manga, and he collects figurines. When he discovered this store was in NYC we had to find it. It is loaded with books, music, movies, collectible figures, and more. Floors and floors full of stuff. This store was definitely worth checking out. Plus my son bought 2 figures from here because they were extremely cheap.

I felt like in Tokyo or Osaka.A very good selection. If you compare prices it a little bit expensive, but it is in US. Not japan. SoThats fine and totally worth it.

A wide variety of books, games, and DVDs await you in this store with an emphasis on Japanese and nerd culture. Much of it is authentic, meaning itll be hard to understand if you cant speak Japanese. All the same, its variety doesnt cater to the deeper niches. A good place overall.

I came in here for Funko Pops! I have an all Black pop collection and it can be difficult finding new figures when stores have such small selections to begin with. This place had a huge selection. I picked up 16 that day and had to leave a few behind because I either had them already or they didnt fit into my budget! I would definitely recommend this place if you are into pops!

This is a hidden gem of used books, electronics, and collectibles. My fiancé and I love to come here and we always end up leaving with a few books. While he spends his time pursuing, I like to pull a book of the shelf and sit in one of the few chairs they have there and read. If you need a place to sell or donate, it may be worth coming here!

Ive come to this bookstore a few times and it doesnt cease to amaze me how I can leave with so many gems without breaking the bank. Visually, this place is stunning - homing dvds, comics, and your traditional modes of fiction and non fiction. There is something for everybody and with the selection of dollar books generously taking up rows on end, you can be sure to spend an afternoon here reading through the synopsis of your next read.

Used to be my favorite place to shop until they started charging full price for used manga, $26 for some damaged copies is a joke. I miss the way this store used to be. It seems they just want to take advantage of their biggest clientele I mean honestly whats with some of there DVD prices? If you wanna charge that much (Im talking more than $90 for a single dvd) just sell on eBay.

No help at all. The worker just stare at you without saying anything and they let people cut in front and do nothing about it they also buy stuff for dirt cheap if you want to resell just go somewhere else or do it online

Theres also a second floor for more books, i sometime get carried away and start looking everywhere and gazing at its collection. Its great and surely youll find something youll want. :)

OVERPRICED! All the leftover, already opened gunpla is twice to three times the price of a standard unopened one. Please only go for books, manga, and CDs and movies. Those are sold at tolerable prices. Their games, with the exception of vintage games, are wayyyyy too much. Just go online at that point.

Great $1.00 finds for books. Manga is priced at the same as Barnes and Noble and larger retailers, but amazing collectibles are available. Some a bit high, but some are priced fairly or even low. Look out for deals or find something you wont anywhere else!

Bookoff shop was good... Variety of books.. And good price.

I took my mentee there to find manga. They sell a lot. Things are heavily discounted: books, manga, movies, you name it. They also sell an assortment of video games and video game consoles as well. The staff were super friendly. I ended up getting a used French textbook for $6. I recommend it also for people who love Japanese media. You probably wont leave empty handed.

Never go to store if you are selling a book. I took my text books to sell over there. Bought the book from amazon for $350 each and after finishing them I wanted to sale them so I went online to check on the price. Amazon was giving me $103 per book so the two books was total $206. Since I needed money the same day I tried to check on this company. So I took the two books and after going through their formalities. They tried to give me $9 for a book that is worth $350 on amazon. I was so angry I just told them Nope and took my books backs and later sold them for $260 on eBay. Dont you try selling any books. Take your books somewhere.

On beautiful Sunday I made a pit stop after seeing a movie to pick up few DVD now heading back home one of my favorite spots in the city calm cool and they very friendly.

The store has all things fans of comic books, anime, manga and video games will enjoy. Figures of fictional characters, comic books new and old, new or used game consoles, this place is worth visiting if youre such a fan.

I absolutely love this place. I’m a manga collector so I come here about once a month and I can always find some great manga. I particularly find out of print manga in great condition and spend about $3-$5 on a single one. I would leave with about 12 manga and spend under $200 🤗 The staff here is also really great

This store has a lot of things: English books, Spanish books, Japanese books, manga, video games, electronics, music instruments, movies, music, figures. Who knows if Im missing anything. Service is helpful and youll probably find something you wanted but never had the chance to buy here. You can also sell things that you dont want, just follow their instructions of what they allow from their website. However, dont expect a lot of money back.

I been coming here better of 5 years and found some very amazing collector pieces. It definitely depends on who is selling, but if youre lucky to see soemthing you want, snag it asap. It might not be there next time you go. My bf got me an iPad pro from here refurbished and I also managed to grab a new apple pencil for my late holiday shopping to myself. Give it a whirl. Their staff is super helpful and friendly as well.

I loved the selection they had a felt like I could lose hours in there just scanning all the books! They also had collectables like funko pops and anime characters. All in great condition and great price. Was really amazed at how big it was inside too.

I never imagined Id get to see a VCR and a videocassette ever again. But there it was, a used VCR player and anime being sold used on their original videocasete format.Bookoff is a used goods store ranging from electronics, books, figures, video games, retro consoles, movies, Anime, manga, books, etc bought and sold used.I found manga that I read during my childhood at $3 in a bin and found figures that I had not seen in years.I did find the used figures overpriced given their used status but having them available to buy immediately is a convenience to be had.Overall it is a great place to find old media and used products in good condition but for new stuff especially anime / manga I ended up preferring a close competitor book store miles away.

Always enjoy my time here, my wife and I always end up buying more that 1 book here and we stay usually around 2 - 3 hours looking through their selection! Live it here and will always come back when nearby!

I came in with a mint-condition, full collection of hard cover Harry Potter books and they offered me $1.10. I was actually offended by their offer. What a slap in the face. They also never called me after an hour of waiting when they said they’d reach out in 20 minutes. I will never be going to this store ever again and I recommend you do the same.
