I had a great experience today at Studio 28 with Vicki Rose. It was my first time at this piercing studio. Ive been to several piercing studios in New York and Minneapolis and this was definitely one of my best experiences. I really appreciated Vicki Roses aesthetic sense -- she helped me explore jewelry choices. I thought she had great artistic sensibility. As a professional piercer, she looks at jewelry and peoples ears, noses, etc all the time! She performed the actual piercing quickly and expertly. I will definitely be going back to Studio 28!

I was about 15 minutes early for an appointment for 3 piercings (double helix and 4th lobe), and they kept profusely apologizing for making me wait til my actual appointment time and still ended up taking me early. That was so nice of them. Vicki was my piercer. I felt really taken care of and I felt like I could trust their advice on how to get the best version of what I wanted. They were extremely professional, meticulous and their bedside manner was really sweet. The whole team was very efficient and informative. They walked me through every step and anticipated a lot of my questions. And I appreciated the small talk because I was a little nervous 😅Ill definitely be back for my next piercing and maybe my first tattoo. :)

So so amazing!!! Vicky pierced my navel and they were incredibly professional and respectful. This is my second time coming in for a piercing here and both times I’ve had amazing customer service. Kirsten was super nice and gave great suggestions. I got a tattoo with Bo and he did a great job. I booked through their appointments app on the website and they responded shortly after they opened on the same day. Was able to submit reference photos which made the consult very quick and easy. The studio is very clean and everyone is extremely friendly! Following all Covid protocols.

Went in with my mother for a naval piercing, sadly due to her body shape it could not be done but Vicki was fantastic she explained everything in great detail, she is very knowledgeable, experienced, and was very professional, she put the well being of her customer ahead of everything and for that I am grateful. I’v been searching forever trying to find a quality place that will pierce a minor because a lot of them stoped piercing clients under 18. Studio 28 is the best one in Manhattan! We got to it right off the 1 train and they were so nice and extremely professional. Not to mention the quality of their stones are above and beyond. Amazing experience here! Staff was super friendly, explained the whole piercing process thoroughly, and made sure I understood. They made sure I was comfortable and walked me through the process as it was being done. All materials were brand new, very sanitary, and they made sure to dispose gloves and use new ones. Place is strange and you will hear the phrase awesome sauce at least 30 times in a 20 minute time span. Not doing this again. No wonder they had appointments available. Upside: clean and safe.

I made an appointment with Vicki to perform a surface piercing on my nape. The staff was incredibly prompt and professional at setting the appointment and keeping in contact with me. When I walked in the shop, I just smelled the clean. The shop was spotless and they took heavy precautions to prevent covid transmissions including taking my temp and disinfecting my hands. The selection and quality of jewelry was great. They had this gorgeous pair of amethyst ends for my piercing which I gladly purchased. Vicki was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She walked me through the steps to proceed with the piercing and exactly why she was concerned with what I wanted to do. Ultimately her knowledge led me to move the location of the piercing ever so slightly from where I initially wanted it because of my bodys anatomy and how she felt like the recovery time would be drastically increased with less chance of my body rejecting the piercing from increased tissue movement. She took her time and used great quality jelwery to perform the piercing, which was practical painless thanks to her skills. I would gladly recommend her and have found a new piercer.

I recently got a double helix piercing here, on Saturday, May 15, 2021. It was the best service Ive ever had at a tattoo/piercing parlor. Vicki Rose was extremely helpful, patient and eased me through everything, as this was my first time getting pierced with a needle. It has been 2 days, and I have absolutely NO swelling, redness, pain, nothing. With previous piercings, my ear would have been swollen, red, and in pain by the second day, but its not, and Im more than happy. Its amazing and I cant wait until its fully healed. I will definitely be going back for future business.

Got my first three tattoos here at Studio 28 with Bo Snow. The studio was very clean and spacious. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Bo was professional. He made me feel comfortable and I think that helped a great deal because I was a nervous wreck once I walked through the door. I thought the 2 guys that where out front where very nice, the place was extremely clean, but I did not care for jenny the artist, I should of probably left but I was visiting from Las Vegas and I had just walked up 52 flights of stairs so i went ahead and got my tattoo, i felt that she way over charged me, but that was my fault for agreeing to get it and pay for it, any very clean place but I definitely dont recomend jenny

Upon arriving I immediately noticed how clean it was. I’m unsure of what the COVID restrictions are when it comes to the amount clients in the business, but I was the only person there. Which made it seem more personal. The receptionist (I forgot her name) was extremely friendly & helpful.On to the tattoo. Bo did everything in his power to ensure that the piece fit into the space I wanted without losing too much detail. He took his time & it seemed like it was just as important to him as it was to me. & the added bonus is he’s left handed (as we must stick together) I told him that day that I’d be back and I definitely will. HIGHLY recommend getting a tattoo here.

I got my tattoo about a week and a half ago. The piece takes up almost the whole back of my thigh. A 4 hour piece of the three wise monkeys. Bo did an amazing job. It’s healed so well, and looks so detailed. I am absolutely going back to Bo for my next piece. Highly recommend.

Went to an event @ Grand Lodge of New York and we arrived a few hours early. I looked up the closest tattoo parlors and asked if they did walk-ins. Studio 28 did and was only a few blocks away from the lodge (hidden behind some trees 🌳). The guy who did my tattoo was super chill, and did a great job. Would definitely go there again. Damn NYC is expensive, first time ever paying tax on a tattoo 😳 😐. Price aside, definitely worth it.

I dont know what put it into my head to shoot a bolt of steel into the very tenderest and most precious part of my anatomy but the decision was made and Vickie made it a great experience with a fantastic outcome. I had as much information as I could want about everything piercing, delivered with calming reassurance and utmost professional skill. What a great decision I made! Bo and TJ were both so kind and professional! They were prompt, the care was personal and kind (very nonjudgemental which isnt a given in the tattoo world). Very one on one treatment, but my boyfriend got to sit with me while that tattoo was being done. Bo was very professional and to the point, the tattoos were done quickly. The whole place was very clean with great ambience! Its been a week and my tattoos are healing really well, Im super happy with how they turned out. Will be returning later!!! Dont go unless you are extremely rich! The only thing they really care about is money.Below is my personal experience:I went to this place twice for ear piercing. On my first visit, I paid $600 + tax to purchase a tiny pair of earrings in addition to the fee for piercing. NB: You have to purchase their earrings in order to get your ears pierced.During my first visit, they told me that I should not take off those earrings myself, instead I should go back after a few months, asking them to take the earrings off and they would also adjust the length of the earrings for me (the length of earrings is typically longer when your ears first get pierced) and they would do everything for free. Pretty nice service despite being expensive, I thought! When they tried to sell me those post-care products, I bought them all!However, one of the earrings was too loose and it went off itself shortly after that visit. And because it is soo tiny I couldnt find it anywhere. I tried to go back to that place but it was closed due to covid.Now covid is almost gone so I went back there again. But first I have to pay 10.89 dollars online to make an appointment (didnt they tell me that it should be free?)During my second visit, the first thing they asked me is: Do you want to purchase a new pair of earrings? After telling them about the loose earring incident and that they have responsibility for that, they made an excuse: because it has been >1 yr, their system had wiped out the record so they couldnt do anything for me, and instead, they transferred the blame to me for not contacting them earlier. I didnt argue, and then came the third thing: the manager took out a calculator and add an additional 10+ dollars to my appointment (they said those 10+ dollars are for their facial masks and gloves for my service; to be clear, I wore my own mask and gloves so those 10+ dollars are merely for them to wear masks.) As a comparison, many shops distribute free masks and/or gloves to customers. And with 10+ dollars, you can buy a whole box!During the service, I asked them could they adjust the earring length for me (as promised), but the person told me that I have to pay another 25 dollars first. In the end, the only thing they did was to remove my earring from one ear and put it into the other. They didnt even clean/wipe that earring after it has stayed in my ear for >1 yr, before inserting it into my other ear. Even now I can feel my ear is itchy and painful...

Met at appointed time after filling out COVID check forms, place was clean, friendly and moderately priced. total pros.

Piercing Artistry at its bestI’ve been going to Vicki Rose for years. I went from having my ears closed to starting with 3 ear piercings. I love her esthetic, design and placements. Through her brilliant artistic eyes I’m now up to 11/ 12 ear piercings. Each one specifically curated to fit my ears and taste. Vicki totally gets my style and what works for me. She even designed a gorgeous rook piece for me that’s amazing. Vicki is incredibly professional, precise and chill. It’s always been the perfect experience. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Vicki Rose and Studio 28. I got a conch piercing done by Vicki last year, and they did a beautiful job explaining every detail of the process, providing advice on the best placement and jewelry, and ensuring I knew what to do for aftercare. They also provided their contact information and answered some follow up questions I had promptly via Instagram DM. And when 6 months later I got an infection in the piercing (100% my own fault, nothing to do with Vickis great clean work on the piercing--PSA stay away from ear loop masks even if you think your conch piercing is healed), they were able to see me same-day to help me remove the jewelry based on a doctors recommendation. I have already booked my next appointment and highly recommend Vicki Rose and Studio 28!

They told me that my body is not suited for a piercing and then didn’t refund my money. It’s COVID. I cant exactly walk in. I paid $43 and booked my appointment to be told that my body would reject the piercing. Which is fine but they should refund me. I had no other choice than to book the appointment online. Very unprofessional and a huge scam. I would never go there again.

I had my helix pierced here today. I was super nervous for my appointment, because I am scared of needles. However, everyone here was kind and put me at ease. They were also very patient with me throughout the whole jewelry selection process.I knew I wanted two holes but wasnt really sure where to place them on my ear. Vicky was able to give me several locations based on my pieces and provided me her honest opinions on which ones, she thinks, are most esthetically pleasing. The result turned out beautifully. She created what I only envisioned in my head. Also, they have so many pretty ear pieces to choose, ranging from bold to delicate styles. Since I came back from the shop, I have been telling all my friends to go here for their piercings

Vicki was my piercer today, and they are one of the most kind, caring, patient and professional people Ive ever met. Im so incredibly thankful that they not only helped me to figure out what piercings would look best on my ear based on my anatomy, but also didnt pressure me when I was so indecisive and took forever to make my choices. They explained every step and constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Ive been to a few different piercing places and none hold up to Studio 28 - its worth the trip in from Long Island! Booking was easy and everyone at the shop was nice. My tattoo ended up looking pretty good too. The only thing I wish was that my tattoo artist would have sat down with me longer to discuss the design before having it done. He showed me his sketch while I was filling out paperwork and I liked it, but I would have felt a lot better about it had he taken more time to talk with me, especially since it was my first tattoo and I wasn’t entirely sure what the process was. I did give suggestions about changing the design a little but every time I brought them up I felt he was a bit annoyed with me (this could have just been in my head though!) In the end, I like my tattoo, but I can’t help feeling a little sad, because I definitely would have made some minor changes if I felt more comfortable speaking with him about design changes. I definitely need to take some of the blame since I didn’t want to seem pushy, but I do wish they would have taken a few extra minutes to make someone getting their first tattoo more comfortable!

I went in to get a flat piercing and to re-pierce a second that had closed. I was nervous as I am somewhat hard of hearing so understanding people with masks on is hard for me. Everyone there was so understanding and accommodating and I had no problems. Vicki was my piercer and they were very nice and took time to make sure both piercings were in the exact right place. They definitely helped calm my nerves and I absolutely love my piercings! Thanks to everyone and especially Vicki!

I picked this spot because of their highly-rated reviews and they definitely earned that number. They were timely, professional and efficient. It was my first piercing so they were happy to explain things multiple times and answer all of my questions. My appointment was with Kirsten who was very kind and super informative. Best of all, they were extremely thorough with their safety protocols pertaining to COVID. If you’re deciding between multiple studios to get something done, literally stop looking now and pick this place.

I’m an anxious person and I’m not familiar with getting piercings. When I came in, I was welcomed by friendly staff and quick service. I was very comfortable and was treated perfectly throughout the whole process. The piercing went smoothly and I was constantly being asked if I was doing okay. Due to COVID, you can’t have anyone in the shop with you so they asked my friend to wait outside. Unfortunately the boy that worked there did not make my friend feel welcome by calling her a safety hazard. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Vicki is excellent! She explained everything and displayed exemplary piercing accumen.

I got my Daith piercing on Tuesday, May 4th, by VIcki Rose and she was patient, efficient, and very good with managing my jitters and making sure I was ok. The studio only lets 1 person in at a time for piercings and wipes everything down painstakingly between each client. I felt very safe and well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend.

Booking an appointment here is very simple . The website is very professional and it shows you a bio of the artists and a portfolio of their work. I got my naval by Vicky and she is extremely nice and professional . The environment felt very comfortable and relaxed . The people in the front were patient while I decided which earring I wanted . Vicky explained every single step to me and the process and constantly asked me me if I was okay. Everyone here was very polite and sweet . I would for sure come back here.

This studio is great. I got a piercing here back in Feb and everyone was accommodating then. I came in today for a tattoo and had an awesome experience. Bo was my artist and he was meticulous, receptive, and has a great eye for detail. He worked with me even until after closing and not once did I feel like he was rushing to go home. He took his time, did great work, and was very kind.Everyone is very friendly and willing to answer any questions. In light of the pandemic, the space is very clean with chairs more than 6 feet apart. They take your temp at the door and everyone wears masks the entire time. Very professional, very health-conscious. Im so glad I picked them and Im for sure going back for my next tattoo

Came in for a daith piercing and Vicki was the absolute best. She took the time to make me feel super comfortable and we had an awesome conversation deciding which jewelry would work best. Also the shop was very clean and all the Covid protocols were really safe. Will definitely be coming back in the future :) Thank you!!

This was the second time I visited Vicki Rose at Studio 28 for my third cartilage ear piercing. First of all, the facility is updated to accommodate all Covid 19 concerns. It was clean and efficient and I felt completely confident that I was safe. Vicki Rose is just wonderful! She has an abundance of knowledge and expertise and spends lots of time explaining the procedure and answering any questions. Best of all, she is quick and proficient. I have never had any problems with healing or pain afterwards.

I have 10 ear piercings, nose, and belly button piercing, but I have never experienced such an incredible piercing experience. I was pierced by Vicky. They asked for consent every single time before they touched me, which was extremely appreciated. I’ve never felt so comfortable getting pierced. All staff members had advanced knowledge of piercings, jewelry, and after care. It was a wonderful and pleasant experience. 10/10 I would recommend to anyone who wants a clean and professional piercing experience. They had amazing covid procedures. Masks, social distancing, sanitizing, and temp checks. Felt so comfortable, safe, and could not have been happier with my experience

GO HERE! I was SO nervous about getting my piercing and they made it an absolute breeze. Vicki was kind, professional, and wonderful at her job. I hardly ever write reviews but Studio 28 is a clean, covid-safe place to get pierced. Id absolutely go back for any future piercings.

I got a tattoo with Bo Snow and he was extremely impatient and rude throughout the process. I wanted a small tattoo in memory of my dog and he completely ruined it and refused to follow an direction. He did what he wanted and now its a permanent stain on my body. Please do no go here.

Vicki was amazing!!! I felt so comfortable with them, they made sure I knew everything I was getting into, and they very very gentle and caring. I unfortunately forgot the other employee’s name, but they were great with explaining pricing and made sure to be very efficient with COVID procedures. Best piercing experience ever! Love that they use top of the line metal, it is worth the money. 10/10 experience.

I was pierced here by Vicki the other day and it was phenomenal. Everything was very clean and professional grade material was used and they were super nice while piercing me. Also answered all the questions i had plus more. it was a really great experience!
