Great/kind/informative service. I presented them with the problems with my bike and they were able to provide me with appropriate information and the right equipment geared to what best suited me and my needs. My bike was fixed and in ready to go in no time. Also I didnt feel they tried to upsell me or take advantage of my novice bike knowledge, which was much appreciated. Shout out to Forest and his accomplice with the Germanic accent (didnt catch his name, my bad!)

Very corporate, not the local bike shop feel I was hoping for today. I had a coupon from riding the Five Boro tour and stopped in to check out the shop. Nicely fit out, sleek, expensive. I selected some grip tape marked $19.99. The sales person said the price went up to $22 and the tags had not been updated. I asked to get the tagged price, but was ignored with the response, the system updated the prices. Fine, maybe a LBS would have given me the tagged price. Then, the sales person was persistent and aggressive about getting my personal information. I said no twice. He said I would not get the 30 day return policy without giving my personal information. Since I thought there might be a chance I needed to return the item, I proceeded. Then he asked for my ID to scan; I said no. I think an LBS should make customers comfortable, even if it is counter to the Trek heads pushing them to get personal information for their marketing and sales.Update: the manager called me the next day to apologize and offered to discuss and help make my next experience better. I appreciated the prompt proactive reply.

Friendly, helpful, reliable service. A little pricey, but the location is convenient and the quality is high.

Came in a week ago, for a adjustment of my differential gears over a small bent of my frame. Fixed it & cleaned between the teeth so well, my Trek 750 runs like NEW again. Nicely priced 4 the job. These guys KNOW there stuff. 2 months ago, needed 2 new inner tubes replaced. Definitely will go 4 any service my 1992 Trek 750 may need. 👍👍👍👍👍

Location great. Covid spacing-great. Staff-Adam was great. There was another guy (forgot his name)who was also cool and tune up guys- are all good, but Id have to say one staff member tweaked me enough that Im not sure Id go back.After begrudgingly answering my question about the $8,000.00 😳bike without a motor, the employee walks away offering no other insights or assistance. Comparatively the day prior, Adam was attentive and pleasant. Ill admit now I had NO INTENTION of purchasing a bike before June or from that specific store. His pleasant attitude obligated me to a purchase and I returned the next day and made it.So...Im sorry... customer service requires you engage, inform and perform the duty for which you are hired. You should do it as though all individuals have value and if they dont make a purchase its OK.Its definitely a good place for bike shopping-but be warned can be pricey.

Brian went out of his way to stay in touch and let me know the status of my bike repairs. Even with supply chain issues, they pulled it off quickly. Trek 96th is the place to go!!!

Not a great experience today (8/3) at Trek 96th (and unfortunately not the first time in recent history)...was going to drop my bike off for level 2 service. A staff member let me into the store at 5:40 pm and after explaining what I came in for, she asked me to wait until technician is done with another customer. 20 minutes later another staff member approaches me to ask what I want - I explain that I have been waiting for the service technician to finish up with another customer and want to drop off my bike for level 2 service. She immediately lets me know that the bike cannot be dropped off anymore as it is 6pm. After mentioning that I have been waiting for 20 minutes, she continues that there is no way the technician will take a look because it is 6pm. After asking why no one let me know over the last 20 minutes that no bikes can be dropped off, she just rudely says well, I am letting you know now as she leads me to the door to kick me out of the store. I mean, seriously guys at Trek 96th!? I have no problem with being told upfront that I have to come back the next day for service because it is too late (or dont let me in in the first place). My suggestion for your store is educate and train staff on appropriate customer service given you are dealing with a lot of customers that have spent, or will be spending, thousands of dollars on bikes and gear. You can do better than that Trek 96th! I will have the bike serviced at Trek 72nd, much more pleasant there...

I simply asked to put new brake pads on my bike. They told me i needed to pay an additional 100$ for a procedure i didn’t ask for. I was willing to pay for the new pads and labor. They couldn’t do it. Worst service ive ever had at any bike shop. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I’ve gone there a few times. Staff are super help and knowledgeable. Been there a couple years back and to be honest service and staff were horrible.. but now it’s totally different. Definitely give them 2 thumbs up..

This bicycle shop exudes professionalism. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and waited on my needs patiently as I walked through what was for a me a big and eventful purchase. I was offered a free trial ride, allowed to mount and explore pretty much whatever I pointed at, and anything that I purchased along with the bike was installed for free. Bicycles have become more rare and expensive in this time of COVID, so its incredibly reassuring to have the professionalism match the price, and leave with a new bike knowing theyll have your back with service, adjustment, and satisfaction. Growing up on the Upper West Side, this bike shop, though its motioned through hands and ownership, is a stable of the community and always has been. Its just not the Upper West Side without a meaningful bike shop in this location, and this staff and the Trek company feel like they have honored that legacy.

Dropped by a tubeless rim to have the tire mounted. They were super nice and had it done within the hour.

Happy customer!! Went on a test run and its nothing like most typical bikes, it is worth every penny !! Off to new adventures

Despite being expensive, I somehow couldnt go anywhere else to get my Trek bike serviced. I bought a great bike from them 4 years ago and have kept it in good shape. But it was finally time to replace a few things on it (breaks, chain, cassette, etc). Eric was super understanding and professional. I stayed there for about an hour discussing alternatives. But sometimes, just like with Apple products, you have to go with the best.

Awesome store. The employees here are A++. Prior to my visit I was on the phone with an employee and he went above and beyond in order to assist me. I left there with new knowledge and awareness of the products I purchased. Will definitely travel back there.

I was very happy that Trek Bicycles was open on Memorial Day andefficiently handling all their business outside (luckily it was a beautiful day). Apparently you were supposed to have an appointment (which it would have likely helped to have known, since Id called ahead of time) but my problem was fixed quickly once I got my turn--there were quite a few people waiting. Ive used that store for decades and am glad theyre still with us, when so many other businesses in my enighborhood have gone, long before COVID!!

Even though store is open, I could not get in to see the bikes. Apparently you only can get in if you know for sure that you will buy something.I’m browsing to know better some bikes options and they didn’t let me go in and see the bikes.Poor service experience.

Forrest was fantastic--took his time to explain everything despite the line. This is not a Trek bike--its an old Fuji I bought on Craigslist, but that didnt matter whatsoever as far as the level of service/care/respect. When I went to pick up the bike, I barely recognized it. It looked amazing and now rides like a dream. I went in unsure of whether the bike was worth the investment but couldnt be happier that I made the choice to bring it into Trek UWS. Highly recommend.

This place has absolutely bonkers labor prices. Lube up and get ready cause they’re gonna rob you. Went in with a bent hanger. Costs 14 dollars online and I could replace myself in 30 minutes. They up sold me to replace my wires and brake pads too. That’s fine. Should be 200 or less. They tried to charge me 463 for what’s basically a 30 minute job. Used to love this place never going back.Call another bike shop before you get work done here.

I have been coming to this store since 2016, always fantastic and knowledgeable people until yesterday; Had purchased 2 bicycles above $7500 - Was expecting better treatment and at least a sticker or a 1 dollar bottle for the new ride - NOTHING, the feeling was more like store is doing a favor for me and for free - very disconnected very arrogant and by no means helpful - unfortunately is my sons birthday and was standing in the store could not go anywhere for the same Bikes. Was not disrespectful but out of all standards of customer service (I understand the current situation we are all going through but there is no reason for the service to be this way) really Sad and will not come back -Great way to make business

Updated: It’s unfortunate the first pair of cycling shoes I purchased were faulty (missing the screws at the bottom the shoe) but then to return that pair and to pay more for another pair of cycling shoes only to find out that the new pair is missing an insole inside the shoe! How this wasn’t checked before selling to me (after the first pair were faulty) is beyond me and really it’s not fair to have to take the time off work to go back to the store a second time, wait outside to be allowed in and have this sorted out. At this point I give up and will have to follow up with Bontrager myself to have an insole sent to me or shoe replaced. Incredibly frustrating but also shows the lack of attention/concern for the customer.

Aaron was an absolute legend showing me the different road bike models and trying to find the best solution. The store is perfectly organized and I really hope they can start with the bike tours soon.

I wish I could put 0 stars just bought a roscoe 7 this weekend and already had to bring it in for service. The bars were loose even the stem it wasn’t shifting right when you put weight on it. The dropper post cable was supper long and sticking out far of the the frame. The front fork didn’t lock out. If I was you I would cross over the bridge and go to Paramus or edgewater way nice people and check there bikes when somebody buys one

Big thanks for servicing my bike that I shipped via BikeFlights all the way from Pittsburgh!Trek UWS put my bike back together for me and offered to service a lot of the parts -- even though I only took them up on the offer to repair broken pedals and its turned out great. Really happy with the notification system and prompt communication (calls) they have set up.I am also pretty excited to learn more about your events and programs for learning more about bikes, cycling culture, expanding upon inclusivity and safety, and getting involved with the community! Our family has been depending on this bike shop for years, during the various changes in ownership and management. We have bought 5 bikes for family members, starting with the first bikes as kids. The service is great (Forrest especially). Its terrific to have such a strong bike shop in the neighborhood.

They changed ONE tube and ONE spoke and Forest (the clerk) over charge me $61.50 for a job that should have been $35.00 max. After I picked up my bike the tire went completetly flat again just a block away from the shop. I went back and they finally did their job right but I felt they wasted my time and I was ripped off. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE.

Had been researching hybrid bikes for a few weeks, and on a couple of previous phone calls I found that the people here really wanted to help. Cy, extremely patient and friendly, helped me find a brand new in-the-box Fx Carbon Sport 4 which they got ready for me the same day for a test ride and purchase. Just signed up for my purchase of the Verve+ 2. An amazing electric bike. Such a cool thrill. Nothing but a total joy to ride. Adds so much extra fun and takes some of the hardship out of it. Still a great way to get exercise though.

Great staff and service

I was on my way to a mountain bike ride when I realized I had a problem with my rear derailleur. Jacob in the shop totally saved the day. Honestly, I was pretty annoying as I was in a hurry and desperate. But Jacob was gracious and bailed me out and was really cool about it. Will definitely go back here when I have more bike issues.

I had a slow leak on my front tire. They fixed it so fast I barely had time to get a coffee. Love the staff the location and their knowledge of ebikes. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a bike for a while and never found one that I loved. Queue in Tatiana and Stye!!! With their patience and their going back and forth in and out of the shop, I found my perfect bike (see pic for happiness level)!Not only were they super helpful, but when my grandmother called me feeling unwell in the middle of deciding which lights to get, Stye waiting patiently for me to end the phone call. When I called the shop a few days later, the first question Tatiana asked me was how my grandmother was doing. I was and am still so touched by this and have shared this story with all of my friends.I would highly recommend this location, whether you know or dont know what you want. If they dont have it, they will guide you to the right place!

What sets this shop apart is the consideration and integrity of the staff. I purchased a bicycle at this shop and later found out that a couple of items had been mislabeled. I submitted feedback (they proactively requested it) and immediately the owner called me back to learn about the experience and ensure that it was made right. I’ve been hesitant with bike shops in NYC. Everywhere I go I find it extremely hard to not only get quality service but flat out any service.Trek 92nd has been a godsend. The guys and gals have spent time helping me through my mechanical issues spending as much time as needed until the job was done.In addition the staff is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to talk to me regardless if I’m stopping by for supplies or just advice.Thanks again everyone!

Ive brought my bikes here numerous times over the years, and theyre usually friendly and reliable. I did take it in one day (early, during the weekday) and the young woman helping me was unfriendly and not very professional. But I havent seen here there after that, so perhaps she was fired. But overall, this is a reliable place to bring your bike in for repairs. Of course, they also sell bikes; but Ive only been there for repairs.

Had a problem with my lock, and they fixed it super quickly. Shout out to Sty (sp?) who saved the day!!!

Avoid this Trek Bicycle store. I took my street bike in for a rear derailleur adjustment. I was told they couldnt just do that – they had a process. I tried to explain to the less-than-interested service guy (apparently the only staff member who could write up a service ticket and who was evidently not happy that Id interrupted his lunch break) that my bike did not need to be subjected to their process, that all I needed was a simple adjustment to the derailleur – no dice. I said I would take my bike to Champion Bicycles a few blocks away and would be sure to document my experience at the Trek store in a review. That got his attention and he changed his tune – too late, though. If this is what it takes to get the simplest repair done, Id rather go elsewhere. I did go to Champion where the proprietor Marcos adjusted the derailleur in thirty seconds flat and refused payment!

The team at Trek are helpful, knowledgeable, quick, and extremely responsive when issues/problems arise. I cant recommend the shop enough.

They did a magnificent job installing a front basket on my bike, a kickstand and they tightened my front breaks.They offer reasonable prices, quick service and a professional staff. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

I stopped going to this store for a year or two even though it is 5 minutes from my apartment, because I always have a bad experience. I decided to give it another try because I saw it was a Trek store now and I needed something fixed quickly. Another disappointing experience. Told me I needed a new derailer that would cost over $200 and then began to sell me on paying to upgrade the software for my electronic shifting system for $75 and while I had the bike in, did I want to have a premium tuneup for $120. I left and went to my normal bike store and they adjusted my derailer for $10 and havent had a problem since. No matter how many times this store changes hands, its still a rip off place.

Great service! In this city, you get what you pay for. Not cheap, but they do great work, go here if you want your baby looked after by pros!

I moved to NYC fairly new to the cycling scene and completely green in terms of what bikes and gear and knowledge I and my family needed to have fun and be safe in this environment. The team at Treks UWS store has been unfailingly helpful. My spouse and kids love to stop by the store; we know were going to be greeted with a smile and will probably learn something new, in addition to getting exactly what we need in terms of equipment or service. We seem to regularly come up with requests that seem quirky or perhaps urgent in the midst of the shops busy days, and yet we always feel welcome and appreciated. The pricing is fair, and the mechanics know what theyre doing. Service is fast and done right. Thank you, Trek UWS!

Is this even a bike shop anymore? I called looking for a rubber spacer to go between a clamp for a trailer and my seat post as I no longer had the spacer. The guy on the phone said the only sold trailers in sets and wouldnt be able to any kind of spacer to go between a trailer clamp and the seat post. Sad to see Dannys go. It was already too big box, but at least it was a neighborhood shop that could actually help you with repairs and had actual parts.Raising a star since they called me after. But was too late already got the part in like 5 seconds from another store.

Didn’t know trek had company stores. They ha e tons of bikes for sale. And they had the part I needed to fix an old bike.
