Tread Bike Shop is my local bike shop (lbs). Ive been going to them for more than 10 years, buying a few bikes from them and sent many customers to them. All come away with great experiences and most come away with new bikes.Tread also will give life time free spring tune ups on bike purchase from them. Naturally all parts that need to be replaced for rider safety or broken, these components and ascessories will be charge to customers.
I love this place. Maybe is luck or maybe is just that it is the perfect place for me. I used to come to this store all the time a few years back and stopped because I moved out of the city. Back then it was great but the other day their service got me beyond happy. I had called about 15 other stores looking for a bike for my friend. All of them either didnt have any or didnt pick up which its okay we are still in the middle of a pandemic. When I call Tread Bike Shop there was a very honest messenge saying that due to high volume of customers they could not assist people on the phone that the best option I had was to pass by and that the inventorywas not updated. I truly appreciated this message because other store placed me on hold for hours and some did not even pick up. I arrived to the store made my line and was lucky enough to find out that they had just gotten a bike like the one I was looking for. They kindly asked me to wait for it to be ensemble. I was able to walk out of the store with my friends bike after such a journey in NYC and NJ trying to get one.
Strictly addressing the repairs here: rushed and shoddy. By virtue of being the only bike store within miles, Tread is very busy. They clearly dont have enough capable staff to meet the volume of work. Fixing flats, adjusting brakes or trueing wheels is not a problem for them, but anything more complicated, like replacing a chain & cassette, they flub. Ive had to bring the bike back in multiple times after repairs -- or find another repair person (which Ive done and now use) -- to get things to work. If you need substantial work, look elsewhere.
Awesome bike shop. As a new bike rider I know nothing about bike tires. I came in told them my dilemma. I caught a flat and the tires were old and the sidewall were shredded. The courteous staff informed me about what I needed and the prices were great. Dont expect cheap expect good quality parts and great advice. You pay for what you get. Bike riding is a wonderful experience. Pay the price so they can fix your bike. Thank you Tread Bike shop.
Super knowledgeable and kind! Also COVID-19 safe! Everyone wore masks and they keep a great headcount to limit customers in the store. I absolutely love my new bike and they have so many options to choose from! Well trusted establishment, my parents bought my first bike as a child from them so Im super happy to have purchased my first adult bike from them as well! You wont regret it!
Let me say, physical service is dollar for dollar you will get what you paid for. But remember, you are Paying NYC prices. Now, customer service is Horrible. After reading several reviews I was unfortunately ready for the experience. I asked my fiance to accompany me to make sure that I wouldnt project my negative expectations (from the reviews). Nope, it wasnt me, she noticed the lack of friendly attention and appreciation for bringing business to their shop. She also pointed out that she felt like the guy giving us the bill acted like he expected us to dispute the amount. Please understand, I did not tell my fiance why I had asked her to join me 🤔And again, I have no problem with the physical service, but Im from a time when and where anyone representing a business, looks you in the eyes, and does not take for granted that there are other businesses that would be extremely grateful for your business. This is a new bike for me, and maybe it isnt the top of the line model, but I was really looking for a top of the line shop. They missed that mark by far.How one presents something is sometimes just as important as what is presented.
Best bike shop in nyc anytime I have a problem with my bike i take it here and they always fix it very helpful and very knowledgeable staff I will continue to go here.
Friendly staff, great customer service, clean and spacious shop. Staff was knowledgeable and didnt try to up sell me on the upgrades I wanted to make - mechanic was also quick, less than 30 min wait timeVery happy with my first visit here, definitely wont be my last time (hopefully not for a while though!)
The 2 stars are for having genuine Shimano parts, the missing 3 are for the customer service received shopping here.Went to buy replacement brake pads and the price in store was $5 higher than advertised on their website. No big deal, but instead of simply being told the online price was old and not updated, or it was an error, the female employee ringing me up insisted I was confused that the product I was trying to buy was not the same as the one listed online. After confirming it clearly was the same product, I was then told a different reason, that they dont follow the same prices they have posted online, on their own website.Im no lawyer but Im sure thats called bait and switch? If I went to buy 10 different items and they were all off by a few dollars, then it would have been an obvious problem. But because it was just one item off by $5, it was brushed off as my error, cant be fixed or adjusted, and was told if I wanted it cheaper to try to buy it on Amazon instead. The money clearly was never the issue as I paid with a $50, but the whole reason I went there to shop was because I much rather support local businesses instead of large corporations, so to be told to do otherwise is pretty interesting as a business practice... as if bait and switching wasnt shady enough...I guess Amazon it is next time as suggested
I have been to around 7 different bike shops all good but not at all like Treads. TREADS is by far my Favorite shop. Competitive prices, fast repair and great customer service.
Wonderful shop, bit of a wait but quality repairs make up for any inconvenience. Girl at front desk was very helpful. Pet friendly too!
Store only had three people working today and surprisingly they were able to get me in and out the door with a new headset installed quickly.!!
Honestly once I took my bike to that store to fix the gears and change the crank botton and when I picked it up they gave me much worse that time I paid about $ 75. Once again I returned with my wife to have a new package bike totally adjusted to be able to release it and everything was up to date because when they returned it the brakes did not brake and I complained to her to have them fixed and they did not want to make you responsible and that time I paid some 120 $ and this last time I repaired the bearings of a wheel and they gave me one more time worse .... seriously I dont know what happens with the mechanics .... I do not recommend it .. maybe for purchases but not for repairs.
One of the best bike shops for repairs in the CITY hands down. These guys know their stuff and offer great prices.
I bought a bike & had it shipped to the store. I was suprise on how quick it was build. I was thinking it would take a few days but I got a call the next day the bike was Ready. I was super excited, and thankful that I was able to leave out the store in my new bike. The employee are awesome, helpful, & knowledgeable about bikes & I appreciate that thank you!!
The attendants are rude and not helpful unless you want something easy. I bought my two bicycles in that shop and have been a customer for years, but given the impoliteness, uselessness and bad attitude of the attendants I will never go back. These guys must be very unhappy with their job to have that attitude, better to keep away.I went there today with a slightly bent wheel asking for a repair and the only thing the attendant could say is we do not do that here, not even answering why not (answer: because aluminum breaks easily when bent, which I understand) and not even offering the solution to sell me a new wheel. So I did ask for a new wheel and the guy made me feel I was bothering him too much. I ended up going to a different shop.
Purchased a Cannondale Badboy last year at the start of the pandemic and had to wait weeks for the receipt. I was told my bike was just assembled and it was in my best interest to take that one instead of waiting for another one to get built... With that said I never received the paperwork or anything from the box that comes with a NEW bike purchase... Customer service is horrible if they pick up the phone... The bike is very nice but to this day I don’t know what I was supposed to receive in the box, overall great bike but HORRIBLE customer service!😎
Learn to update your stock before misleading your customers.
These guys are great! The mechanics are awesome. Marco is my guy. It has many selections of bikes for those looking to purchase. The only thing that always gets me is their pricing. They are pricey and they know it. They’ll probably read this and respond that their pricing is fair- but they know it’s not lol. You get taxed for parts and labor- so walk with that wallet- whoever reads this.
GREAT SERVICE and many options to choose. They fixed my daughters wheels. Was going to buy training wheels and had the seat lowered. because of covid theres a line outside and it may look closed from far but the hours on google are the same. I admire the notible health protocalsEDIT: Oops sorry I wasnt clear in my above review. Your staff was friendly and effecient you DID install her tarining wheels and lowered the seat PLUS filled the tires with air. Previously b4 covid this location has also replaced the tubes in her tires. Ive also bought some gear here: Helmet, protective pad set, bike bell, and basket. So thank you very much! Shes absolutely THRILLED & CONFIDENT when riding her bike now.
This place has a wide selection of bikes & tools...the service & selection is way better than any chain store like rei
Ive consistently received rude and dismissive service from this shop.I understand that there is a bicycle shortage, and I understand that there will be delays in getting things, but to not even ask which specific bicycle model I am interested in ordering from the manufacturer before saying, we dont order bikes, they dont have it is straight up obnoxious, especially as Cannondales website *specifically instructs *people to call their local bike shop in order to place orders.I later called Strictly Bicycles in Fort Lee and received helpful alternative suggestions and the timeline involved in ordering the specific bike my husband wants. Helpful service seems worth crossing the river for.
So much faster and SO much cheaper than I thought. I had always done my own bike servicing because I feared the cost of bike shops. I was quoted $100 by a competitor for a basic service of a few components that I didnt have the time to do myself. Tread Bike Shop did it for almost a quarter of the price and had it done in 30 minutes, and now my brakes feel tighter and more responsive than they ever have. Theyve earned my patronage going forward, and now Im more confident than ever on my bike. Also, the way theyre handling business right now during a pandemic is very efficient, safe and responsible. Thank you guys for doing excellent work and keeping the health of the public in mind.
What a wonderful bike shop! Everyone there is working hard to help everyone out during these crazy times, and despite the uptick in bike needs they are very friendly and patient. There is constantly a line out the door, but Ozzie and the others do a great job checking in with everyone about what they need. I recently dropped off my old Peugeot and they tuned it up like new and gave me great advice for the accessories I needed. I highly recommend you stop by if youre in the area!
Got my bike looked at recently and was told they overcharged me for the bike I bought. I also went back few weeks to get my tires refilled and they said it wasn’t covered. After spending over 2k on a bike that I overpaid for they couldn’t have the courtesy to see what was wrong with tires of bike I had just bought. Shop around don’t buy here.
Top notch neighborhood bike shop. Been going here for a decade- decent selection in all price ranges, good mechanics, and straightforward communication. I really appreciate that they have a little bit of something for everyone and try to be there for their community.
They had a large bike selection however their customer service was extremely dismissive. I told the guy what I wanted and he said “do you even know what you’re looking for?” with an attitude. I end up purchasing a bike because I needed it however they were extremely unwelcoming.
Really great people helping and setting me up with a new mountain bike. Really go there again for any service and potentially buy my other bike.
Great place. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they don’t try to oversell anything. We’ve brought three different bikes in for new parts and/or repairs, and on each occasion they did the job quickly and at a fair price (even steering us to less expensive options). Very satisfied.
Tread bike shop is doing great specially during the such a difficult time. And there are many people coming to help for own bike. I just surprised that there are so many people try to enjoy riding bike enjoy outside same like myself. I am sure that many people really appreciate and depend on it. Thanks guys.
Been going to treads for decades. I just bought an ebike after years of non riding I had them fine tune it. I also purchased a new stem with the help of the owner oz to make my ride smoother. Its nice to go to a place where people have knowledge of what they are doing and the owner is involved in helping out. Thanks guys!
Great service, always a pleasure to come here and interact with the staff. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. I bought my hybrid bike and come by all the time to fill up my tires for free, buy extra accessories and get any repairs done. Their relaxed attitude and welcoming vibe always has me coming back :-D . Highly recommended! Ride your bike down the green path by Hudson after getting serviced by them!!
There are a lot of bike shops in NYC but very few with great reviews. This shop had the best reviews I could find. When I picked up my bike after getting a tune up, I told them I can see why you have the best reviews in the City. This shop is super friendly, very knowledgeable and very efficient. I dropped my bike off Sat afternoon and got a call that it was ready around noon on Mon. The whole experience was easy and quick and the work they did on the bike was fantastic. I needed my brakes fixed as well as a squeak with my front wheel and a few other minor adjustments. I highly recommend this shop!!
Question: do you guys sell Se bikes?
They do not answer the phone and when you arrive there is a line and you have to wait 30 minutes outside the store. Great service! While they are knowledgeable their customer service is lacking every time I go there. Guess I will buy what I need from Amazon.
Great staffs..always showed concern about the customer and their time....has my saddle changed..tuned brake, gear and chain with reasonable price and time. I highly recommend to any bike enthusiast.
They do NOT do rentals. The site says they do but they actually don’t. They haven’t for years and they don’t have plans to ever start. But they don’t want to change the site for some reason.
They are over rated, thats a great place to buy a bike, but not for repairing or upgrading. Not just for the excessive price and waiting time, but because they always running out of parts.
Not bad.Guy said he had no gravel bikes, but saw 2 in window after I left.
Its actually pretty good with pretty helpful staff though not the most knowledgeable cross discipline mechanic staff.Pretty good selection of bicycles and accessories and very willing to custom order and do custom work.Just one word of note: There are NO REFUNDS, just store credit or exchange. They actually have a sign at the register regarding this but it doesnt really stand-out as there are other policies on the note sheet.
My favorite bike shop, best in the area. Everyone is always pleasant and professional. Their now open 7 days a week during the Covid Era.
This place is great. They have been open during the entire situation we are currently experiencing. But have taken steps to ensure safety and that is awesome. They are always super busy and have loads of people leaving happy. Now a days there is usally a line, but they have very knowledgeable staff, a guy named Joe, that takes his time explaining things and not just trying to sell you things and sending you off on your own. Knowledge is power and I will always return evwn if i have to wait on line just to be helped. Thanks guys. You rock!
Even tho they are very limited in product due to the Covid-19 and bikes being on high demand they were very very accommodating. I didnt catch the gentleman name that helped me(curly hair glasses) was very professional. They let me try out the bike around the block. End up getting the hybrid bike Jamis Citizen 2. I would recommend this place hands down. They are suppose to get a restock in shipment sometime in September. So hurry and get your bike now.
Attentive, knowledgeable staff that treats you like family
These people are the best. I needed a new bike rack for my car, not only did they help me choose the rack, they installed the rack. The customer service was beyond what you receive in the city from most places. The price of the rack was also the best price I found. I will definitely return the owner was awesome.
Best bike shop ever, excellent quality and unbeatable prices.
This is a wonderful bike shop with very friendly staff and incredibly reasonable prices! Would highly recommend renting a bike from here (half the price of downtown shops) and its super easy to get to Riverside park from the shop. The rental bikes are very high quality and easy to ride!
The service here is hit and miss. Sometimes I need to prod people into talking to me, and then people can be quite sullen. Other times, I have really nice interactions. They have reasonable prices, so thats good. There was also a time when I kept getting flats and I had no idea why. I asked them to take a look and they kept replacing the tube and saying they couldnt find anything else wrong. Well one day I got a flat and took it to another shop and they showed me that my tire was run down and causing my flats. I got another and the problem was fixed. Why didnt the guys at Tread tell me this? Could have saved me a few hours of flat fixes in my living room and several tubes.Update: I have had way more positive experiences since this review first came about. People are taking more time to talk to me and generally being friendly.
Tread bike shop has to be one of the best bike shops in Manhattan, affordable and great staff. I bought a solid bike there, and I am definitely coming back 👍.
Very courteous and professional
Solid bike shop uptown. Theyre constantly busy during COVID, I can tell cause Ive passed by several times and seen the long lines...I was able to get in there today and grab a couple things I needed...week staffed, well stocked and good prices....I shopped around a few places before landing here at the coziest prices.
Awesome old school bike Shop. Great selection, knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices and open on Sundays. What more could you ask for.You guys have a customer for life.Cheers!!
Helpful staff, and good gear. They have the same stuff as REI at the same prices. Theres usually a line to shop inside, but they have a ton of gear.
This place seriously made me start loving ice cream! The combination of the warm cone with the cold and flavorful ice cream is just amazing! I get the plain waffle cone with chocolate ice cream inside. Aside from the taste, they shape the ice cream into a rose which makes it so aesthetically pleasing and more enjoyable. Overall, love the vibe here & the ice cream is the best.
I needed help to mount a bike rack on my car and the owner was incredibly helpful. He came out to my car, showed me how to mount the rack, put it on the car and even brought a bike out to show me how to use it. He wouldn’t accept money for his kindness. I will definitely be back to buy both a bike and a rack.
Customer service was great and they really know a lot about bikes especially good when you know not so much like myself. I was able to test ride a variety of bike and get the break down and stay within my price range. Bikes range from maybe 200 to top of the line bikes. Truly a great experience.
Absolutely disappointing. After seeing solid reviews I decided to go check the place out. I picked out a few options from their online store and headed on out. I got there about 15 mins before opening and there was already a line. I stood in the line for about 25 mins AFTER they were already open before I was even asked what I was looking for. When I was asked I told them a bike and began to mention some of the bikes I’d seen IN STOCK. I was then told the website doesn’t get updated and none of the bikes I wanted would be in stock. I waited 10 more minutes to go inside and look and was told there were only a couple bikes I could. One cost thousands of dollars and the other was about $700 but not worth it at all. No discount offered because of the trouble or lack of selection, just here goes two bikes you can pick one. Disgusting display, when I asked when they’d update the webpage or at least get some inventory I was told “never” and there’s no bikes in nyc anymore. This is one of my worse experiences in trying to purchase something in my life. I didn’t deserve this and neither does anyone else. Zero stars would be more appropriate. I ALSO FOUND OUT THAT MANY OF THE ONLINE REVIEWS ARE WRITTEN BY THEIR OWN STAFF AND NOT BY ACTUAL CUSTOMERS. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.
Great bike shop with very friendly staff. Great for rentals too. Could be better with information accuracy over the phone.
Nice nice 👍🏽👍🏽
Its a real, neighborhood bike shop! A little bit of everything. Road, hybrid, city, mountain bikes. Good pricing. Friendly.
Went in to check about a groupset upgrade on my Cannondale bike & a chain pop off issue. Also helped a friend that unfortunately caught a flat rear tub during travel..
Tread is definnitely The reliable place to go to.5 stars All around! Great Customer Service. The Bike technicians know exactly what theyre doing & go beyond to make sure we ride safely.Prices are very economical too!
These guys rock. Times are tough in the pandemic, with very few manufacturers shipping at full capacity, but Tread is cranking it out as they can. Very professional.
Amazing staff. The owner is super cool
Good service Austin equipment its all good
Had a great experience here. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, theres a huge bike selection (around 300 bikes) on the floor. The prices are good, and they have older models in stock that they will give you a discount on (I got a 2011 model so I got a discount). They helped me with sizing, adjusted the bike for me by adding a seat with suspension, and let me test drive two different bikes. Overall, great experience and I walked out with a bike I love!
Best bike shop in NYC. I saw some interesting bikes up for sale. I got my two bikes 100% fixed, upgraded and ready to ride. The mechanic there is a master at work!
These guys packed up my bike and helped me ship it via BikeFlights across the country. It arrived very well packed, and they threw in 9 free bike tubes! Really easy going place and nice to deal with their team.
Two years Ive gone to this shop. I have so many great things to say and not enough time. They serviced 3 of my bikes and helped my wife pick out hers and fit it to how she liked it. They are not always the most attentive but they always have great advice and the mechanics are top notch. Prices are about average to fair for a non-corporate shop, they have group rides if you ask nicely they might tell you. Its a local shop with a big box flare..whats not to like? If you need anything extremely high-end they can order it too. They are just awesome, be patient and polite and theyll return the favor. And they rent bikes cheap!!
Fantastic expertise and service. Highly recommended
Hi Sir,How are you,Sir give me your contact no as WhatsApp/Gmail/Imo any one.
Got a Airborne Goblin online. I went in to get it tuned and properly set up. Bought my first bike here at a great price and the knowledge and professionalism of the people here was refreshing, so i knew what to expect this time around and I must say i was not disappointed. There was only one mechanic in the service area and yet i was in and out in no time. He was also very friendly and explained some of the functions of the bike which I appreciated as Im still new to Mountain Biking. If youre looking for great service, friendly people that know their products, great prices as well as a huge selection of bikes then Tread Bike Shop is your one and only stop .
They have Financing Available on their IG approvals up to $3000 No credit needed with Acima. They can text you the requirement CALL THE STORE or INSTAGRAM Ozzy is the man
Avoid this place if you can. Run by dishonest people and inexperienced mechanics.
Amazing service. Waited about 5min to get help. Asked a bunch of questions and got straight answers. Got all of my bike concerns taken care of. Took about 10-15min tinkering with the bike while I kept asking questions, they would check what I asked about. I feel a lot better about my bike after visiting. I bought the bike online and brought it here after asmebling it and realizing there may be something wrong with it. Tread bike shop fixed all of my problems for only ten bucks. Main problems were air pressure in wheels, seat, bent derailer. They even tightened my lock holder for me which was using plastic they switched a piece to rubber to make it more stable. Amazing customer service. I am very thankful. Thank you tread bike and Wally I was about to return my bike but now Im good.
They dont pick up the phone, dont answer to Facebook and Instagram messages. If thats how they want to do business, I will bring my money somewhere else.
Customer service here sucks. The only nice person in the store was the manager dude. The representatives made me feel like I was bothering them when I asked a question. Do not come here
After years of going there, today will be my last! The quality of the work is deteriorating and the customer service is terrible.
I love this place! I bought my first road bike there (Specialized Diverge A1) and they were very helpful and friendly. I recommend it to ANYONE looking to by a bicycle or repair one. They have accessories too.
I love the vibe at this shop -- friendly to female customers and staff, lots of young people who seem to really know their stuff. Their tune-ups are inexpensive and seem to hold up well over time. No hard sells from the staff. The one thing that didnt go brilliantly was a gearshift tune-up which didnt fix my problem; every other time Ive gone there things went well.
Great customer service and private parking.
Called up, was looking to bring my bike in for a Spring tune up and a once over for the 5 Boro Bike Ride. My bike has had two previous owners and was recently put back together. It has never run so smoothly after the folks at Tread gave it the care and attention it needed. The staff at Tread were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all welcoming. Tread is a wonderful bike shop with a great community feel in the neighborhood and one that I will be coming back to for all my cycle related needs. Thank you for the help!
The personal is very helpful.
I came to ask if they can check my bike since i fixed the front tire by myself, person behind the counter said that will be 50 or 60$, went behind and said yes its 60$, to take a look it a screw tire well.Cant make money any better way?Asked him to help me to pump my tires since i dont know how to do that, got response its in the front and i can go and do it.No help and no customer service. I live close but will never walk into this place unless its emergency.Hire someone pleasant who can help and not try to rob me. Or just get a proper job where you will actually do something to charge a service.Bike shop on 181 and Bennet is amazing. Will go there instead.
This is the bicycle shop that I use for almost any repair or problem. The staff are great and they do incredible work for a very reasonable price. The staff works with bicycles new and old and they have never said no to a repair no matter how difficult. I have brought them tandems, triple tandems, old school bicycles with cottered cranks, triathlon bikes, and even my bicycle trailer and they have fixed every problem with no complaint (our triple tandem was nine feet long and the mechanic made the repairs without an appointment). Sales staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. This bicycle shop is a gem and is located very near to the bicycle path and across the street from some good restaurants. You can get a meal while your bicycle is being serviced. While I have not purchased a bicycle from the shop yet, I know that they have a good service record and also rent bicycles.
I love this place, they are great for bike rentals, supplies and advice. I take friends here when the want to go biking with me and dont have a bike. Its great that they are so close to the west side. Recently I got a new bike but it had a few issues, I go to the shop 10 mins before closing, they help me figure out the issue, fix 2/3 (for free) and then tell me to come back tomorrow and they will get me all setup! I am fan for life now. My next couple of bikes will be brought here. Highly recommending!
So friendly, competent, and priced fairly in terms of repairs. Im always going to them not even because I need to but because I never want them to disappear. And when I really DO need them, theyre always ready to help with a smile. But all of that sounds corny, so heres the bottom line: theyve got a monopoly on the neighborhood but they dont take advantage of it. Instead, the guys who fix the bikes are patient and take a lot of pride in their work. I dont know about buying new bikes from them, but definitely check them out and go to them first of your bike has an issue. Thanks, Tread!
#1 spot in the heights for all your bikes needs.
Great shop. Always understanding and attentive to my needs. Quick and friendly service. High level professionalism and a tremendous assest to the neighborhood!
I like the shop. People are knowledgeable. Nice inviting place. Very helpful. My bike shop until i move out of the area far far away which i dont see happening
Best bike shop
Great bike shop. I have been a loyal customer for a few years. Great selection of bikes and equipment: entry level to pro. The owner and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the mechanics are top notch. Robert alone is the true guru who helped me build my first S-Works bike with SRAM RED etap when you couldnt even find it for sale anywhere in NYC. Highly recommend.
I dont recommend this bike store. The small guy and the lady with the avocado tattoos (yes really) think they dont need to show their customers any respect. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unaccomodating. I was surprised a kids chair costs as much as a bike for the day, the staff replied as follow: if you cant afford it then dont rent it. What a way to treat a customer. Ive negotiated day rental tariffs with the biggest car rental companies across the world, nothing strange really. Now if it isnt possible thats fine to I guess, but there is no need to address customers like that. Still shocked and appalled me and my wee son were treated like that. If you dont want to accommodate customers then dont go into the servicing business. Dreadful place. Go at your own risk.
Lets get something clear, I LOVE MY BIKE!!! Now with that in mind, the service given to my bike must be great in quality. These folks have been nothing but detail oriented, knowledgeable about bikes and are committed to the community as well.
I hate to leave negative reviews...but the customer service was just off and I was very uncomfortable during the experience. Words of advice...they should know better than to bring high end bikes into a non visible back room without inviting the owner, especially if they know they want to watch the work. I just sat there extremely anxious and didnt know what to do.I brought my $2000 bikesdirect bike in for a simple repair because it was damaged during shipping, literally a sub 5 minute fix when in a stand (by an experienced mechanic). They had my bike in the back room out of sight way too long. I was extremely uncomfortable and distressed by the experience. I wasnt sure what was going on. I usually service my own bike, and know the speed that people can do work, literally minutes to do swap outs by a typical mechanic. The shop asked me to leave the bike there a few times but I wanted to watch the work being done (first time I came they didnt have the part, ordered it and called to have me bring the bike in). When I came in they brought my bike into a non visible back room. I asked where they were going, they said they had stands on the side, I tried to peak in but couldnt see anything. I was a little nervous but thought ok they should be out soon, I dont need to see the bike every second. All of a sudden they couldnt find the part. The guy was walking to the front, to the back, all over the place.I dont know if the mechanic I got was just a little inexperienced but my $2000 bike sat in some unknown room as beater bikes were in the front/visible stands coming and going, who knows what could have been happening. When the mechanic finally came out he mumbled something to another mechanic...I dont know if it was paranoia but I swear I heard one of them say the words fast swap out...Overall they should know better, I know enough to know that the situation was odd. I would have done the work myself if the insurance didnt need proof of professional installation.Prices were average, its the unexpected that I wasnt happy with.pros- they have free air and for the most part seem to have an experienced staff.
