Super friendly - I needed an exercise ball inflated (the ridiculous hand pump included in the package was laughable, works but would have taken hours to fill! ) - the tech couldnt figure out how to work the included needle, so the other tech working on a bike looked it up and inflated it directly. Even with that pump it took a while .. Sent me off with a smile, no charge.I looked over the different items on display and bought a water bottle (insulated). Might bring in my super touring bike some day for a tune up
Mixed results here. Came here now for a part. Website and maps says it is open but it is locked up. Never know when it will or will not be open. Did a great tune up. But also needed a wheel replaced and they wanted me to source my own wheel instead of them just giving me a new one (standard 700c wheel).
I’ve never been so disappointed by a bike shop (particularly the owner himself) in my life. As a woman of color and a small business owner living in Harlem, I go out of my way to support local, POC businesses. But every single times I’ve gone to this bike shop the owner is unnecessarily rude, condescending, and combative. The first time I visited, I was exploring bike options as a new rider and he immediately spoke to me in the rudest manner. My fiancé, who is an avid bike rider, has also attempted to have minor issues fixed on his bike here and whenever the owner is present- he has a major attitude. It’s so bad that when we see him in the store, we turn around and come back another day to avoid him. Most recently, my fiancé needed a tune-up and needed the bike sooner than it would be ready. My fiancé complimented the store for acquiring new customers and staying busy (we were just in a pandemic!) and the owner immediately went on a vulgar rant about how he “wouldn’t be in business for 8-years without being busy”, and was ultimately extremely disrespectful. I’m not sure if this fellow Dominican man has forgotten his roots, if he only belittles Black/Latino customers or if he is just the type of person who is eternally miserable- but if you can find yourself going to Talent Cycles, I would highly recommend you go elsewhere. Despite living in in the neighborhood, we now make the trip to Larry’s Free Willing on 110th. Better customer service and turn around time.
I came in asking for Allen keys for my electric bike and he tells me I dont work with electric bikes. I aint ask him to touch nothing electrical, but he still gotta try to find a loophole in avoiding to help me. I did not like the customer service either. Basically argued with me to not let me use an Allen key. Ridiculous.
Just the place I needed, came by for a basic tune up. Fair priced, good quality work, and they actually answered the phone, unlike the two other shops I called previously. They are BUSY, so if you’re coming to have a coffee and a chat about bikes it’s not the place, or perhaps not the time, I did inquire about sales and at the moment they are all sold out and doing just repairs and rentals, just in case anyone is shopping. I’m glad I have a new go to spot for quick fixes and service!
HOW DR. JECKLE TURNED INTO MR. HYDE AND WENT FROM 5 STARS TO 2Im shocked Im making such a low review when days ago they had 5 in my book. It was a rough beginning of the summer when my bike was stolen, but I trusted the owner of this establishment to do a great job putting my new custom Bigshot together that I had it shipped directly to his establishment. The job he did was great. The bike cost me $425 (not incl tax) and assembly of the bike pkus replacing stock tires with Gator Shells, a plush seat for the narrow one and an anti-theft device for the seat ran me $371. For me money well spent for the upgrades and a job well done.I then broke a NYC cardinal rule and left my bike parked for 4 days in the same place with three NYC Kryptonite locks recurring the frame and both wheels. I checked on it every evening around midnight and in the morning around 6am and everything was fine. I told myself the only thing they can get is the handle bars. The 5th I foun that they took both the bars and the forks.I dropped the bike off at Talent Cycles and the owner took the bike in to keep what was left safe while I contact Bigshot Bikes for replacement parts. Bigshot told me the bars and forks are sold with the frame as one unit, but that they were having a sale dropping the price from $425 to $325 and gave me a special code to knock the price down to $260.Distraught I went back to Talent Cycles and asked the owner to see if he could find the parts for replacement. He told me to come back next week. One week later he said he found nothing, but it wouldve cost me $200 plus to replace it. He told me to purchase the bike, send it to him and that he would do it for free because I was also purchasing anti-theft devices for the forks and the wheels as well as a tool box with optional saddle bags for storage totaling well over $200 in business. When the bike finally came in he said it would be done by 4pm the next day and when I returned it was still being built. No biggie I came back the next day and the bike wasnt there. After a while his worker came in with it after what I presumed was a test drive with the new tires soiled and grease on parts of the frame. While I was waiting the owner was giving me attitude, but I thought he was just having a bad day.I then inquired about the ant-theft upgrades and he snapped back at me that he couldnt find them after telling me he had it in the store. I noticed that my light mount attached to the seat shaft was missing (see first pic after robbery). The helper said it wasnt there and the owner said the thieves mustve taken it in a short curt tone. I took my bike and brought it to my storage space where I new it would be safe.I spotted the mount in the pics took for the police report that evening and the next day went in to purchase the tool box with saddle bags and of course remove what was left of my $425 bike. Once again I was met with attitude and haste from the owner and he got even angrier when I showed him the evidence in the picture. I brushed it off that maybe he was having another bad day. But then after half looking for it in a cluttered drawer he slammed it shut and barked what color WHITE OR RED? Perplexed I tried to describe what I wanted to accomplish and he said that he, didnt have time for this and I quickly replied red. He then tossed a tiny $5 red light on to the counter at me exclaiming to me it was bettet than the one I bought online for $20 (not really). When I told him that I wanted to get the remnents of my bike he angrily barked in Spanish to his assistant who brought me the parts missing just one seat from the original build. The owner grabbed it and remanded me calling me nit picky for everything and that I was ungrateful for him building this bike for free.I told him it was quite the opposite. I was very grateful and asked him he got my note on messanger to see that I put up posts on Facebook and Instagram edifying his place with 5 stars. He proceeded to tell me he doesnt care about the publics good reviews or bad reviews. I will update my reviews.
Highly recommended. I had an emergency with my bicycle, and the owner on Easter Sunday help me out. Store was closed and thank God he saved the day. Very professional and pleasant personnel. Thank you Edwin
Really nice bikes in stock and good people working there. Excellent bike shop
The staff who run this shop are really great. We had great service when we purchased a bike and that great service continued through getting needed repairs. We appreciated being treated with friendliness and respect. A really great experience.
I’ve gone to Talent Cycles on numerous occasions to attempt to purchase a bike. Each time I went there the guy who appeared to be the owner was unable to assist me in my search for a bike. He was busy each time fixing bikes so I left each time since I was told I would be assisted shortly each visit and after waiting approximately 15 minutes each time with no help whatsoever I left each time. I kept going back because I wanted to support my neighborhood’s bike store. However, the last time I went to Talent Cycles when I arrived I was the only person there. Therefore, I figured I’d be able to get some assistance but I was wrong. Another guy came in with a bicycle about a 2 minutes after I arrived to get his bike tuned up. The owner immediately tended to the guy who observed that I was there and told the owner there was no need to rush. The owner then told me he would tend to me in “20minute” as if I wasn’t there first. Throughout my visits to the store I sensed the owner didn’t want to deal with me but I was unsure so I kept going back. My final visit confirmed what I originally thought the owner simply wasn’t interested in helping me find a bike. I could only assume why the owner was eager to assist me but my budget was $1000 and I guess I’ll have to spend it with a business downtown which I was trying to avoid.
Horrible, horrible. I just walked into this store to ask to change my tire. I did not say anything beside the fact that I hurt my self by opening the door of this store. And the guy walked toward me without the mask. I asked him if he could put one on him he said if I don’t like it I can leave. I left.
Waste of time going here. There is only 1 person working. I stood there for 15 minutes with no service only to be told we have no bikes, not anything else. I understand theyre busy but rude service.
Got my old city / mountain bike tuned up for $45. Restored all my gears, adjusted breaks and wobbly front wheel. Rides like new now - Thanks!!
The best Bike Shop
While trying to buy a new bike I opted to go to this place so that i could support my local community bike shop instead of simply buying online. After checking out their site I went in to see what they had in stock and what they could recommend. Right off a bat the store owner acted like a pompous stuck up dude bro. His very first question was how much I had to spend, and after explaining to him that money was not an issue, he proceeded to quiz me on how much I knew about bikes. Given that i had heard of non of his US brands, he concluded loudly and in front of all other customers and staff that i knew nothing about bikes. He literally said You know nothing about bikes then. If you dont know these brands you are not into bikes or the bike scene. These are the best brands in the world. I cant event get into his ludicrous claim...Dude seriously needs to check his dude bro attitude and learn some basic humility and customer service. I left his store not only not wanting to support my local community bike shop, but also wondering if I even really wanted a bike. In the end I found a great deal online...too bad my $800 wont be supporting local community businesses this time around.
I’ve been bringing my bikes to Talent because the guy is a great mechanic, which is hard to find in the city. But the opening hour is getting later and later, from 10 to 11 and now 12... And sometimes I found myself waiting for it to open passed the time. The owner is more of an artist than a business man. Sigh.
I had an extremely positive experience at Talent Cycles. The staff are very friendly and quite helpful. My visit was for my Fuji road bike, which needed a new set of tires and tubes. They serviced my bike very quickly and I was back on the road in no time at all. Were luckily to finally have such a great bike shop in Harlem. Ill definitely be back!
First off--if youre not a young, knowledgeable and active road/racing cyclist/enthusiast--SKIP THIS STORE!! I repeat--SKIP THIS STORE! Owner Edwin caters to this specific community--only selling Specialized brand racing bikes. Youve been warned in this JULY 2019 review and should highly regard the other poor reviews offered about Talent Cycles (502 W. 139th St., across from City College).Owner Edwin is a rigid, arrogant, pompous and inconsiderate bike store owner whos only in it for the money. I simply stopped in to purchase a modestly priced replacement bike seat while Edwin was working on a Latinx customers high end road bike, and was rudely dismissed and disregarded when asking a few basic questions about seat size and pricing. He later told me that if I didnt want the seat he recommended I could shop someplace else.If youre just stopping in for basic service repairs as a local and do not speak Spanish when Edwin is doing repairs--get ready to be ignored and forget about customer service. Though a capable bike mechanic, Edwin is not community oriented. If you need to spend on overpriced bikes, high end equipment and costly repairs and want to be spoken to in a condescending manner--this is your store. Wish I could give Talent Cycles and Owner Edwin a minus one star!
This is my go-to bike shop, even though its not the closest to my home. If Specialized or Canondale are your choice, Talent is a great place to purchase (I bought a Specialized there). The shop is relatively small so they wont necessarily have your precise size or model in stock, but theyll get it for you and make sure youre happy with it. But more importantly, Edwin and staff do excellent tune up work at competitive prices. Ive had two bikes serviced there. One was an old Specialized mountain bike that Edwin overhauled nicely. Your bike will come home like new.
Was in the market for a new bike and had little knowledge of what I should get. After shopping around at many stores I returned to Talent Cycles and picked up an entry level hybrid bike (Giant Escape). It was the only place out of about 10 shops that had a bike in my price range and one that I actually really cared for. Very happy to had the chance to purchase a bike from Edwin and his team at Talent Cycles. No pressure, just friendly, laid back bike enthusiasts here. Great experience. Would definitely recommend.
Great prices, owner very helpful. I recommend.
This place never opens on time. It’s absurd. They have a great store and the service is not bad. But for goods sake. Be professionals for once or chance your opening hours online so we know when you guys are actually opening. Countless times had to wait outside for hours and nothing. The owner showed couple times and he is like “good luck guys” I mean seriously?
Awesome shop, even better owner! Edwin knows everything from the highs and lows of the bike world, coming from a cycling background helps me out since I am just starting out, he was such a pleasure to deal with! The bike collection is superb and if I needed anything else he said hed order it, will definitely be back here for all my bike needs!
Stayed open an extra fifteen minutes to help fix my flat. Very thorough and found a tiny shard of glass in the tire that had given me two flats in a week. Thank you!
Went to this shop to get my bike fixed, first of all GREAT PRICE, the owner was super cool, super chill, great bike selection, really cool vibes and you can tell he knows his stuff. 10/10 will go again.
Great experience
Edwin is a true professional, and a heck of a good guy. He takes the time to describe everything that is best for you and your bike, and is very knowledgable. It also helps that he was the former road cycling champion of the Dominican Republic - he loves bikes, and that passion translates to an incredible experience. The shop has a wonderful selection of bikes and parts, and Edwin is a top notch mechanic. I will definitely be visiting this shop for all my bike needs.
I had a bad experience here and was let down.We brought in 2 little kid bikes that were in bad shape - rusted chains and a bunch of other rust. The mechanic said he would make them run for $45+tax.Now, we just trusted and didnt get a detailed breakdown of the work to be done (our fault, yes).Unpleasantly surprised when we got them home - yes chains were changed (and had the factory oil on them), but the mechanic didnt look at ANYTHING else - not a bolt tightened or drop of grease or oil anywhere. If you were only going to change out a chain just say that and offer up other prices for a tune-up, or anything else that needs fixing. Also, I expected more care, pride and advice here from what seemed like a seasoned mechanic (judging by reviews). And, I definitely expected more for $45 considering a full size bike basic tune-up costs $45 according to their site.I spent the weekend really tuning them up, truing wheels, greasing parts, tightening up things. The truth is I build my own bikes but had no time for the work, which I ended up doing, because who wants crying kids - especially ones who had already been so patient?Additionally, called them and left a voicemail about the issue - no callback.Last thing to point out is that this project was our test run for the shop in order to give them my three adult bikes for full pro tune-ups ($150 a piece). What better test than to see what they do with kids bikes in bad shape.Again, I can build and rebuild every part on a bike myself, but no time to due to work. Now, I have no confidence, and have to go further from home to get the work done.
This is THE best bike shop for getting a bike serviced. Prices for servicing are what one would expect, but the work itself sets this place apart. You can tell that they truly take pride in their work and pay close attention to detail. They will take care of you and your bike.
Stopped in to get my brake pads replaced and he basically gave my bike a tune up. And the price was less than Id expected. Very welcoming and knowledgable. Ill definitely be back if I need anything else done to my bike.
I have tried to go here on multiple occasions. Not once has it been open when the hours said it was open. I have also called, emailed, etc. and never gotten a response/answer. I have no idea what their services are like if you happen to catch them while they are open, but you definitely should not plan a trip here. You will most likely be disappointed.
Got my bike repaired which need a bunch of fixing. Excellent job & fast!
Best bike shop I have been too in Harlem. Very friendly staff and affordable. I got a tune up and upgraded some of the parts on my bike there yesterday. I had a great experience. They also have a shower in their bathroom for cyclists.
Talent Cycles is a gem! I decided to rent a bicycle for the afternoon, thinking Id have to put up with some lumbering tank-like rentable, but instead I was treated to a brand new light-weight hybrid. I felt like I was in a dream as I zipped all over Manhattan, and at a price less than Id have paid elsewhere. Edwin, the owner and head bike mechanic, is out-going and pleasant. He gave me his full attention and even ran next door to grab me a bottle of water. Tell your friends!
Always get quick professional service and no attempts to up sell. The one bad review from Elias Batista is suspicious to me because he gives 5 stars to juniors bike shop just a bit further uptown. Maybe competition? Im speculating. I know my experience has been uniformly positive.
Super competent, friendly service at very fair prices. Uptown Manhattan cyclists are lucky to have this place nearby.
Nice, attractive store, friendly staff.Went in on a Sunday afternoon 30 minutes before closing, and the owner installed the gear I bought for my bike (pin lock and rear view mirror) right there and then. Threw in a little tune up (air in tired, checked breaks, locks and gears), for free.Great to have a good bike store in the neighborhood.
The deluxe tuneup is a bargain. Im an experienced cyclist with several bikes, and for $75, I have never had such good treatment (Ive had multiple bikes tuned up here). Its a small shop, so sometimes there is a wait when its crowded (its New York), but this shop is great. It lost a star because, as others have pointed out, it sometimes opens later than the hours posted.
Do not waste your time! This store was listed as one of Giant retailers in the city. We were excited discovering another bike shop in the city, and after an hour of walking in cold weather we found store closed! It was not even 5 pm, and store was supposed to be open until 6 pm! What a waste of time and energy! So unprofessional! Do not waste your time or money with lazy people, when there are some great bike shops in the city!
Talent Cycles is the best in the city. Edwin had my bike Ironman ready and couldnt have been happier with the results. For a bike shop that cares Talent Cycles is the place to go! You and your bike will be grateful
The owner goes through too many mood swings one day hes friendly and helpful next day has an attitude problem you dont know which mood your going to get when you walk in good luck
Been coming here for years... great atmosphere, good people. I would not take my business elsewhere. Highly recommend..!!!
While theyre small, theyre really knowledgeable and have most everything you might need. (If youre shopping for a bike, they might not have exactly what youre looking for, as their selection is relatively small, but for accessories, tune-ups, and repairs, generally they have everything.)Especially for the small, last-minute things Ive ended up needing, theyve been perfect, as theyre in the neighborhood--which means I dont have to go all the way up to Inwood or all the way downtown for something Id rather get at the local shop.
Edit: Per my earlier review, this month (April 2019), I checked the store website and noticed that they had put up a notice of dates theyd be closed and returning (presumably a vacation or other such event). It looks like theyve realized that customers need to know when to expect them to be opened/closed.-------‐---Older review: I come here often enough, as theyre the closest shop to my work. Pricing is fine, service is usually quick and efficient. However, their store hours are a MESS. The website says theyre closed on Sundays, yet theyre open 7 days a week during the spring and summer. Then today, I swing by, and theyre closed - on a Monday thats not a holiday - without any notice on the outside of the store, without anything on their website or their Facebook page. I get that things happen (deaths in the family, short staffing, vacations, etc) but this is at least the second time in a year where Ive personally seen this happen (who knows how many other times theyve been closed when theyd normally be open) and nothing has been announced or posted.
Listen Carefully guys if you go to this store be aware of waiting and bad customer service as well i went here today and a bold guy was attending a lady and i went so they could fix my tire they were flat and he told me that is ok he will fix it and them three more people came to the store and he told me them made wait 20 minutes and them told me that they could not fixed my bike and he even tell me come later or tomorrow and i will fix it what a terrible costumer service this place should be closed. hate it!!!!
Super friendly mechanic, great service! So happy that its in the neighborhood now. Definitely a go-to place for all bike-related services! :)
Best service that I had...
I had a bad experience at this place.Generally, Im willing to pay a little extra for parts &/or installation at a bike shop as long as I get honest & accurate information about the parts they put on my bike. When I got home I found out that the employees misrepresented the quality & the size of the part they installed on my bike, so I bought the right part & installed it myself.I went back to return the unused part to the shop. The owner (who wasnt there at the time of my purchase) told me I would be given a store credit because of his return policy. I told him that is not acceptable because his employees were misinformed (best case) or dishonest (worst case) about the part they installed. He argued with me over the refund. He only issued a full refund after saying I would dispute the charge with my credit card company.Although Im glad I didnt have to get my credit card company involved (why I gave 2 stars), this is not the kind of shop I want to do business with. You shouldnt have to argue to be taken care of honestly and fairly.
Took my girlfriends bike here to fix a flat. They started on it immediately. They also installed some new grips that we had purchased elsewhere for no cost.Excellent customer service. I will be returning fort next purchase and repair.
Edwin knows his stuff, one of the best mechanics in the city. As a semi-professional racer, I need to be 100% confident in my bicycle to perform as expected, Edwin isnt just one of the best mechanics in the city, but he treats you like family too.
Talent bicycle is so good that even after I moved out of the neighborhood, I have to go back. This is something I learned the hard way from going to other bicycle shops that are run by people that dont have an understanding of bikes the way that Talent Bicycles has.
Fix my flat for 5 min, good price, work late, open for me after 7:30
Former ModSquad customer..did some reconnaissance in the area since ModSquad had moved to EU.. Talent Cycles was very similar to the level of professionalism and knowledge I was acclimated to.I was lucky enough to walk in with no other customers in the store. The owner did what I asked him to, and more. Its clear that hes passionate about bicycles and isnt just doing it for the money. While he was working on my bicycle there was a line of over four or five customers that accrued and he didnt seem phased by that. He calmly continued working on my bicycle until he was satisfied.Ive found my new shop.
Came here today to fix my chain, which he did quickly but customer service was awful. I don’t plan on coming back here ever again.
Their website has the wrong hours listed so its hard to know when they actually open. When I finally managed to get there while they were open, they did a good job replacing my back wheel and brakes.
These guys have an attitude problem and are very rude.
Harlems own, Harlems best.
Awesome customer service, and works on your bike right away until it is and feel right. Truly dedicated to his craft!
This store is at a whole new level in terms of servicing bikes. Some of the best mechanics out there.
From web site i got to know that they open at 9am. I came here at 10:15am. Now it’s 11:20am, but till now there are not open.
Im always on a tight budget, so I never want to spend anything, but whenever I stop by his store, Edwin makes you feel welcome. Great place too.
I purchased two bikes from Edwin, one for my son, and cyclocross/commuter. Both Giants. Edwin also has serviced my Cervelo. Always top notch service.
Hours vary. Owner was really rude when I asked questions. Doesnt seem to care about being kind or patient to anyone who comes in.
I originally stop by the Talent Cycles about 3 weeks ago, looking to purchase a bike. Edwin was very helpful in showing me various models. However, for financial reasons, I decided to purchase a like-new pre-owned bike instead. Based on my interaction with Edwin during my first visit, I decided to give this local bike shop my business to set up my bike.I dropped off my bike and provided parts on Wednesday, 10/18 for the following service:Cut the steerer tubeRemove crank and BB30 bearingsRemove bar tape, stem, and handlebarSwap brake padsInstall GXP Crank and new outboard BB30 to GXP bottom bracket*Full Tune UpInstall supplied handlebar, stem and bar tapeEdwin said he would have the bike ready on Friday, 10/20/17, end of day. On Friday, I stopped by the shop expecting to pick up my bike. Unfortunately, one of the employees informed me that Edwin was not in and therefore, my bike was not ready. Shortly after, I spoke with Edwin, and he informed me that due to an emergency he couldn’t make it in, and promised me that he will have my bike ready by end of day Saturday. Things happen, and I totally understand. In order to give Edwin a heads start, while was still at the store, I went ahead and swapped the handle bars and stem myself. On Saturday, I picked up my bike from the shop towards the end of the day, as Edwin was not able to work on it earlier.Sunday morning I took the bike out for my first ride and unfortunately, experienced the following issues:Creaking bottom bracket pedaling out of the saddle while climbing*Loose bolts on both bottle cagesRear brake rubbing wheel on one sideChain falls off crank shifting from small to large chainringLoose head set.*My review is solely based on the ‘bottom bracket’ issue, because this is the reason why I will never do business with Talent Cycles again.Monday morning, I called Wheels Manufacturing regarding the creaking issue with the bottom bracket I purchased from them. Apparently, there was a step in the installation process that was overlooked (applying PTFE paste). I stopped in to speak to Edwin about it, and he said he would need to order the PTFE paste, as he didn’t have it in stock. He mentioned that he would install it on bottom bracket. He further mentioned the item would be on Wednesday, 10/25, and that he will need to install it the same day as he will be out of town as of this Thursday, for two weeks.Today, 10/25, I stopped by the shop around 1:30pm to see if he received the item. To my surprise, right out the gate, Edwin rudely scolded me about me purchasing a bike that has bottom bracket problems. He further mentioned that if the creaking sound persists, he will not service it again. He totally brushed me off. In a nutshell, he will not be addressing the issue with my bike.
I go here only for the sake of convenience...very poor customer service. I highly recommend Master Bike Shop on 72nd or Tread on Dyckman.
This shop owner is an arrogant a-hole. i asked him how business was going because id never seen the shop before.,,, his response was to look me up and down and ask me why????. Said he didnt have time for my questions. A- hole.
The worst shop I have ever been to in my life. He seems like a money hungry man. I brung my cousin bike and mine to get fixed. The tire popped less then a block away. He then put my chain on wrong after fixing it the second time. Now the bike makes this scrapping sound. Then he said dont come back. There is another shop on 151th street. I left with still a broken bike even dispite the tip I gave him. Worst experience ever.
You should be open when your website says you’re open. It’s noon on a tuesday. In the middle of when you say you’re open, and I just walked my bike a long way to be met with shut gates and no explanation.
This bike shop does not actually open during their advertised hours. A bunch of people sitting around waiting and no shopkeeper in sight. I would not recommend coming here to anyone.
Reasonable prices, good staff, but like others have said they arnt always open during their open hours
Great Service, and great prices!
Super helpful... bought a great helmet!
The only bike shop ill trust for great service and fair prices
Friendly service, great prices
Amazing advice and great tune ups.
As someone who worked at MODSquad Cycles (another fellow Harlem shop), I remember the year when both Talent Cycles and Larrys Freewheeling opened. Understandably this meant that both these shops had just become arch-nemeses, as they were taking away business from where I worked at the time. I left for college and came back the year later to find MODSquad closed and my local shop now Talent Cycles. Since that time I have learned that it was a blessing in disguise. In New York there are few shops that offer such great service and individual attention. For anyone who lives above 110th street, Talent Cycles is probably your best bet for anything with two wheels and two pedals. Edwin, the owner and head mechanic is hands down the best mechanic in the city in addition to being a pretty rad guy. I say that anyone who lives above 110th street should visit, but Edwins expertise and the great selection of bikes really make it worth it to come by regardless of where you live.Five Freaking Stars.
Very good service!! Love it!!
For the second time in a row (one in October 2015 and one on 7/2/16) I came to pick a bike a little bit after 10 am (on the web they are supposed to open at 10 am). But on 7/2/16 it was closed also at 11:10 am. So I had no chance to bike that morning.
Poor phone customer service. I called the shop because it was like a 10 minute walk from me And the guy that answered the phone was not helpful and came off kind of rude.
Hes never open dont bother dont waste your time. Just go to 72nd and west end thats where most of their old workers went anyway.
Great service, atmosphere and selections. Its open till late.
Great spot for cycles; knowledgeable, friendly service
I change my broken tire and works perfect is been like 3 weeks and i do not have any problem
Never open. The hours on the shop door and on the Google maps listing are not accurate.
Finally a bike store that is knowledgeable, competent, and in my neighborhood!
Highly recommend, Excellent customer service.
:Terrible bike store never on time and items are way overpriced
Great Shop and Edwin is the Best!
I had a very bad experience here, the price for the bike is ok, but the service is very bad
Store is run by a very unhappy dude, incapable of saying “hello, goodbye, thank you, you’re welcome.” Last time l ever go to him.
Says they’re open but they’re closed. Call before you come.
I had a very bad experience at this place
Unfriendly people real horrible experience was not welcoming our friendly like other bike shops in the city didnt even want to let me use Allen keyI purchase something
Good price
Small shop with road bikes, rentals, and service
Excellent service
Never opened on time!
