This may be my favourite thing we did on our trip to New York City! The bike rental was awesome and exceeded our expectations. The pick up was easy, device for great and easy to use, just an all around amazing day biking through Central Park!! Highly recommend renting bikes. We rented the old fashioned classic bikes and they were awesome!!

We took pedicab tour of Central Park 2 hours and our guide was Bill. 10/10 experience. Bill was a blast and so nice. Never would have seen so much on our own. Thank you for a great experience!!

One of the worst experience I ever had from New york Times Square. Never ever rent bikes from these people. The bike battery was low, when i asked him if it will work. He said the bike will ride for 6 hours, but the battery got dead in one hour and I was at Manhattan. I ride the same bike. And I decided to call the shop, the guy who operate the shop he acted like he didnt understand and asked me to bring bike and its not their fault. Also, they ll asked you to get the insurance for road side assistance but they wont help you. The chain broke over 4/5 times. Went back, i paid 139$ for the bikes and asked for refund for having those issue. Guy was chill he didnt even care. He said he will return 25$ which is lame as well. He never refunded the money. Which I have proof here. I waited couple days to see the changes in transactions but its still same refund has been made. These guyz are worst for customers.

This place was all we were looking for. Received excellent customer service. Staff showed us how to use the electrical bikes, they were so patience with us. It was my daughters first time on a bike, happy to say that within 10min she was on her own. Nothing better then a bike ride in Central Park. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to do a bike ride in NYC.

A great experience. Our party did the all day E-bike. We reserved it and had a flex time of 2 hours to get the bike. Staff was very knowledge, explained the process, brought out the bikes and did a one on one tutorial on how to use the bikes. They provided the helmets and bike locks as well.The Experience: Our party left several hours of the day to bike around Central park. This was one of the best decisions of the whole trip. The loop around the park on and E-bike in my opinion is priceless. I highly recommend an E-bike. The loop/ biking around central park can be quite taxing(especially on a hot day) but with an E-bike it made all the difference. There are several locations that are uphill for hundreds of feet at a time. People without E-bikes were either exhausted or just plain gave up as it was to difficult for a person looking for a bike ride and not training for the Olympics. I also emailed a question and they got back to me really quick and answered my question.I had several questions prior that were not easily answered through reviews or the website•How to get to the park from the Shop? You can walk the bike on the sidewalk to the park(only a couple blocks)•How hard is the E-Bike to learn? Quite simple and only took a minute or two to get used to the controls.•Do you have to pedal the E-bike? Yes and No. On a straight-away you can use the throttle without pedaling. On a hill you can use the throttle without pedaling but depending on the incline you will either go at a snails pace even at full power or you will have to pedal to assist the throttle. Many of the hills on max setting would need a pedal assist to continue at a swift pace.•Can you join a tour with the E-bike? Yes, there is a charge to join the tour besides the E-bike rental price.

I cant say enough good things about this place. I had missed my tour due to my plane being late....they were very accommodating and helped me find the perfect alternative and I was able to see Central Park, while zipping around on an e-bike. Jerome was so professional, helpful and friendly. He made the experience that much better and I will definitely rent again from these guys on our next trip.

Super sketchy place… should be called “Dirty Apple”. What they don’t tell you up front until AFTER you pay is you can’t leave the store without leaving your driver’s license with them. Then, when I asked for a refund the guy charged my card an additional $100 and said “no problem”! I understand a deposit, but I have a big problem with you charging my card without notice, discussion, or consent… especially after I asked for a refund! I have an even bigger problem leaving my ID with someone I don’t know in a state I don’t live in and going without it while taking my 2 kids around one of the biggest cities in the world on bike. Even worse, if you accidentally commit a moving infraction on that bike or something god forbid happens to you or your family, you have no ID… that entirely lacks reasoning and common sense. To make matters worse the attendant was rude to my kids for touching his table after I asked for a refund. If you can’t be upfront with your customers then you shouldn’t be trusted with their information or money… there are less expensive, more reputable places to rent a bike in NYC that aren’t trying to scam tourists… behavior like this is the reason the city has a bad rep with tourists!

The scooters were fully charged and top tier! Definitely nice for scootering in Central Park! I would go again!

Bad experience. Pedal was broken and left me in the Bronx with one pedal and ruined my group bike ride. As you see in the picture the pedal was stripped and full of solder… apparently the pedal broke in the past and was badly fixed.The store owner denied all but gave me $20 refund out $85

Rode the electric bikes, they were so much fun got to see almost all of Central Park, Jerome was very helpful in teaching us how to operate the bikes and giving us directions around town. Definitely recommend and will come back for sure!

We stopped by Fancy Apple for a 2-hour pedicab through Central Park in the fall of 2018. Note: you get a free 1-hour bike rental during your stay at Park Central Hotel (next door), but Pharrell was nice enough to negotiate a great deal for a pedicab ride instead! It was the perfect tour: 2 hrs was just enough time to get through the entire park including all the stops for pictures; our guide was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and he even played Sinatra’s “New York New York”! It was a comfortable ride, they gave us some ice cold bottles of water for the tour, and the covered rickshaw provided some welcome shade on such a sunny day. On our next trip to NYC, we will 100% visit Fancy Apple again. Great job and thanks so much, guys!

Probably the most fun I had in the city. We rented the scooters a couple of days in a row, the staff was extremely friendly and the scooters got up to some speeds (avg. 20MPH) central park is right down the road and most of the streets have bike lanes; combined with the fast speed and long battery life you can pretty much see the whole city on these things 10/10 will come back again.

Fancy apple is a great service. You can get either a bike or a scooter and take a great tour of central park. The scooters were my favorite.

Great way to experience Central Park at a reasonable price! It was a chilly day so we decided to only rent basic bikes for an hour but because we had no idea just how enormous Central Park really is....we had to hightail it in order to return the bikes in time. A two hour stint would have made for a more leisurely ride. While my adult children did awesome....some of the Central Park hills definitely kicked our butts. Unless you are in fabulous shape, I would recommend the electric bikes, they would have certainly provided the extra umph needed to cruise around the park and town with a little more ease. Nevertheless we had a GREAT TIME and are so glad we added the bike ride to our trip. Our bike associate Jerome was AWESOME! Jerome....thanks for making the experience extra special! Well be back!

I just cannot say enough good things about our Central Park tour experience with Fancy Apple Bike Rentals & Tours on 7/15/2021!!We actually met our guide Benny 2 days prior to our tour when we had just gotten off a horse carriage tour (which was fun but was very short and did not cover most of the park).At the time we met him we had another place to run off to that we thought would take about an hour and by the time we got back and called him he had already scheduled something else so we began communicating back & forth until we found a time that worked for us both. Once we settled on a time, Benny did a great job of staying in touch with us reconfirming details to make sure it all came together seamlessly...have never before experienced that level of communication with a tour guide which was very impressive to me.When we first met Benny, he shared some amazing details about Central Park & NYC which he knows like the back of his hand because he grew up there. Call it a sales job if you like but we realized how little of the park we actually had seen on the carriage ride and the info he shared left us wanting more. That conversation is the reason we worked out our schedule for the tour to be with Benny instead of just scheduling with another guide at Fancy Apple. And our experience convinces us that we made the right choice with Benny!!Also, during that initial conversation, he suggested that the next day we should take a train to Coney Island and go to the beach because during our week in NYC there was an oppressive heat wave and cooling off at the beach at the famous Coney Island sounded fun since we had not originally planned time to go there, we love the beach, and we were able to check that one off our bucket list since we had never been before. His suggestion for that side trip turned out to be one of the best things we did on our NYC vacation week!!The morning of our tour, Benny started things off by texting to reconfirm time & address where to meet and he was there & ready to go when we arrived which is a great way to start any tour!!Wife & I are both in our mid-50s and because the weather was oppressively hot we opted for Electric Bikes from Fancy Apple to minimize peddling. The bikes were super easy to learn & use and kept us from exhausting ourselves. It was a great decision for us and was another recommendation from Benny as more proof the man knows what he is doing!!From the moment we entered the park, Benny stopped to give us facts & a broad overview history about the park and tidbits about the specific area surrounding us at that moment. As we rode, he would point out specific buildings or an area then share details about its importance in the history of the park and other factoids such as why we might recognize from a scene in this movie or that tv show...all very interesting stuff. Benny knows the park & city well since he grew up in NYC but his wealth of knowledge is well beyond what just a kid growing up there would know so he has obviously invested time & energy into studying park history and is well read on the subject with the ability to answer most any question.He would stop frequently at both the major & lesser known landmarks and took lots of pictures for us. The highlight for me was our stop at Strawberry Fields & all the memory pics at the Imagine plaque along with a ride over to the Dakota where John Lennon was shot...very moving moment for an old rock & roll guy like me.I began this review by saying I cannot say enough good things about Fancy Apple Bike Rentals & Tours but even more than that...I simply cannot say how happy I am that we crossed paths with Benny and took our tour with him because our tour was fantastic and Benny as our guide for those 2 hours was awesome.I highly recommend that you choose Fancy Apple Bike Rentals & Tours for your Central Park tour and strongly suggest that you ask specifically for Benny to be your guide if you truly want it to be a great experience...trust me, you wont be sorry with your choice!!!!!

Awesome sauce buttttt we saw a slightly lower price online... When we got here the pricr was jacket up🤷‍♂️ nothing stellar, the bikes are in good shape. Will report back on how we did on battery life. Its estimated to run 20 to 80 miles😂 thats a wide margin - Im throwing my chips in that well do 25 miles max. Lets give it a goooo

Amazing customer service!! Best bike rental in New York City!! I had a battery problem with one of my scooters that I rented, and I called them while I was at the park to get some help to resolve the issue, but it didn’t really fix it. So they told me to come back to give me another scooter, and they ended up giving me a even better scooter without paying more, and gave me more time on my rental. One of the guys showed me how to use all the features of the rental scooter which was really great! Will come back!!!

Offered 2 hour guided tour - didn’t happen. I ordered 2 bikes, they charged 4, after it they lied to me that they refunded. Don’t trust them!!! Bikes are pretty rubbished as well.

We took a private tour (last minute) through Central Park with Fancy Apple tours during our recent trip to NYC. When we got to the rental facility we waited a minimal amount of time for our tour guide to arrive, he had already headed home for the day and they called him back for us, the small amount of time we waited was completely on us having this as an “on the fly” plan. The were nice enough to accommodate us and even gave us bottled water while we waited. We got Daniel as our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for better. He was friendly and made sure that we got to see everything we wanted. He had great knowledge and some fun facts about the park. He also built the tour to our pace, which was nice. If I ever go back I will stick with them. I would also request Daniel if you get a chance to tour Central Park.

Amazing experience! Rented few bikes with my friends to cycle Central Park. Great bikes & service, they gave us a self-guided map was very handy. The shop is right by the park, we spent 3 hours to cycle the whole park with short stops. Loved it !

I hired bikes from here couple of times Already and had a great experience every time! The shop is a short walking distance to the park entrance and the bikes are in good condition. The owner, Faridun, is very accommodating and helpful! I highly recommend these guys👍

Used this rental place during my stay at park central. the bike was too hard, the handle bars were defective and the tires obviously needed to be changed. overall i did ride the bike and had a good time with my friend. the next day i used their competition not too far from them. the other issue came when i used the same facility to store my bags. needless to say that i dont recommend them for that specific purpose as this is not a storage facility ( no lockers and no key)

I rented a bike for three days, kept it in my hotel room. Owner gave me the best bike he had, adjusted the brakes and tire pressure. Good bike, rode around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Reasonable rates.
