I went into the store after already going in a week before and taking photos of prices. I told the salesperson exactly what I wanted to buy (a sectional and dining table). He sent an email with a quote for the sofa that was 1,000 more than what I had previously photographed on the tag. I then went back to speak with a manager, and said that I wanted to buy these items directly from a manager bc now I didnt trust the sales person. The manager Kevin Karagulian then told me that the email quote below for the dining table was wrong, and the dining table would actually cost me 7k, not the 4100 I had been quoted in writing. I had seen on the sales persons screen that the cost of the table was 2500, with 20 in stock. The manager Kevin Karagulian said he needed to research to see what the cost would be, that it is a very manual process that requires calls and not an exact science (seriously!!?) and came up with the 7k. I showed him the email with the 4100 quote, and he said that it was too bad, he didnt have to honor any quote and mistakes happen. I asked him how can you do this? and he said that he can do whatever he wants. He was incredibly condescending, rude and clearly did not care if I bought these pieces and only cared about scamming me on the price. Classic bait and switch all over the place at this store.

Safavieh has unique and tasteful furniture unlike many run-of-the mill furniture stores. Im constantly underwhelmed by the lack of choice options at other stores, even high-end ones. However, that uniqueness comes at a premium price at Safavieh. Superior customer service, especially from Joyce, is worth the piece of mind in knowing you are purchasing quality furniture from a retailer that isnt going out of business anytime soon and they will be responsive should anything go wrong.
Waited nearly a year for a bed to be delivered. When I purchased it in August of 2020, I was told that it was in the warehouse and would delivered 6-8 weeks. 10 months later, and they still have not confirmed shipment. There was no communication, no explanations, minimal updates. Was an exceptionally disappointing and frustrating experience. Complete lack of customer service.

The top of our 18-year - old BDI console was ruined by falling debris, so we ordered a replacement top from BDI through Safavieh. Unfortunately, the style had slightly changed and the top didnt exactly fit. After several weeks of trying to convince ourselves that it looked fine, we decided to order the same cabinet. As a consolation prize Abraham said that we could keep the original top for free. Therefore, we have a replacement should we ever need one. I feel that this company goes above and beyond. The installation people also are very kind, creative and competent.

I had such a great experience when I bought a TV console for my living room last year, I had to come back when I renovated my dining room recently. They helped us pick all the pieces, and I’m so happy with the turnout! Everything looks so great and looks perfect in the space. Plus I love the store and the design of it, every time I come in, they have something new and eye catching.
Sales people I spoke to were very helpful. Due to the covid virus I have had to reschedule delivery of the rug I purchased and Safavieh has been helpful with that.
I wont buy from them again. We ordered 2 crystal lamps 8 weeks ago, and cant get a call back from anyone in store for an ETA on when theyll arrive. Empty promises to call back, no action. There are enough upscale furniture stores out there today, that this one isnt a must buy.
Excellent selection and good prices. Shipping and delivery was a problem. They used the wrong address but never contacted me. I called after 2 weeks to inquire and then they sent the wrong rug.
I originally worked with Luis who is an absolute professional in the interior design business. If this review was solely on him, he would be the next manager at Safavieh. He has a plethora of knowledge on every single item in this store in regard to design, fabric, material used, price points and quality of each piece. His well mannered attitude coupled with his passion for the business was visible with the way he presents himself as well as the merchandise he suggested to me when I explained exactly what I was looking for in my new apartment.I picked out several things for my home as I made a move with no furniture and wanted to redesign my home from scratch. Luis was unavailable the second time I went in but referred me to his associate Stephanie when I contacted him personally to meet again for the final purchase of the items I was interested in.Stephanie was truly fantastic as well. She was poised, polite and so understanding of my immediate need for items to be delivered to my home. She also had extended knowledge of every item in the store which I found to be surprising that not only one, but all employees who I engaged with had such depth in their details when explaining pieces I inquired about which shows their passion for their work.Last but not least, Kevin was the manager in charge who had no hesitation in getting items I wanted as floor models to my house IN THE SAME DAY which is unheard of in NYC, let alone most major cities. He was very generous in providing me a discount as I was taking some floor samples and also because I made such a large purchase. He was so happy to know I came back to his store because his employees were so wonderful to deal with and this was expressed in his inflection every time he talked about it.I haven’t taken the time to read previous reviews but I can assure you that if they are not a 5, they are a lie. I have never felt more respected by sales associates who do NOT push items down your throat because they just want to “sell, sell, sell”. It’s uncomfortable to be around sales associates who would sell you anything to hit a commission number but this was NOT the case at Safavieh.Thank you all again for your amazing service. My house has officially become a home thanks to the wonderful team at Safavieh!!

I cannot recommend Safavieh more highly. Prices were fair/competitive and our salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable and an honest broker.
Ive bought carpets here and theyre pretty good; Great service and fair prices. But their hours on their website say 10am to 9pm. I made the trek down from the upper west side and got there at 8pm, only to be told they closed at 8. The man even argued with me through the locked door. Got home and checked again. Yep! 9pm. Sorry guys. Very poor that. Change the web site or honor your hours of operation.
The Broadway retail store looks to be in disarray and sparsely staffed. It used to be much neater and with many active shoppers. Before speaking to anyone (sales person) I checked the Better Business Bureau. It said they rate them a D minus because they did not respond to their last five complaint filing inqueries. I recommend you dbl. check for yourself.
We used the store on Broadway many times for our home furnishings needs.Got all our rugs there and recently Furnirue too.Its a beautiful store !We got a designer who helped us with colors it was a free service .Very happy with our furniture it took a while to get it but it’s worth the wait.Specially grateful to delivery guys when our sofa did not fit in the elevator and they walked it up to 7 th floor!Thank you!

Shopped one day, and then emailed my contact twice with measurements for bar stools and a rather large order for certain night tables. No reply. I guess it was too much work to order the items I was interested in for viewing in the showroom, and then, simply handle the process as promised.
This place sucks. Theyre pricey and the customer service sucks. I had a few issues with my order upon delivery and they werent the least bit helpful. Once they have your money it is screw you AND do not trust them by buying the extra insurance (Guardsman) because the insurance sucks ass too! Just a waste of a lot of money.
Reza is the best! Super helpful and as a designer he has worked closely with me to get items shipped and arrived in time for big installs.

Very unsatisfied with my experience. I ordered a rug and was told it would be received by Wednesday. It never showed up. I called the store and they could not find my order - which concerned me since they noted my credit card information. I was advised that the order did not exist. Eventually after speaking to the manager twice I received an email from the salesperson that I placed the order with (Leah). She stated shortly after she took my order she discovered it was not in stock. She failed to call me to let me know this was the case and I expected my order to arrive on schedule. Given the disappointing service from the store management and salesperson, the lack of communication and the inability to remedy the situation, I will no longer consider them for any of my home furnishing needs and I do not recommend them.
