The Mattress Firm store at 969 3rd Ave. has two levels of mattresses you can test with various price points. The sales people are very helpful and explain the differences between the mattresses and what might work for your preferences. (I worked with Kevin Hack). The delivery group was good with confirming my delivery time and the delivery men were very efficient and careful of my belongings. They removed my old bed and installed the new one in about 10 minutes.

What an amazing experience at this mattress firm. Lita was extremely helpful and her customer service was exemplary. She made my decision in selecting a mattress so much easier.

Quick and easy - after a move, our box spring broke. First place that a) had them on site [although I didnt have a truck to move it] b) 1 day delivery.Quick nice service and a night saver.

As soon as I went into the mattress firm I met a guy named Moncef Boudhaimi and he was trying to explain as many mattress as he can and I finally found the mattress that I was looking for. He gave me opportunities to try on many mattresses and I finally found the one with king size an extra firmness mattress, and he gave me lots of time to think about the deal before I actually sign on the bill. I think because he was not only passionate to sell some product but also he has an ability to satisfy the needs of the customer. I would not buy the mattress without saving delivery fee which is about 120 bucks because I thought that it was already over my limited budget so I was looking for whether there any way to save the delivery fee. and he found a way to save it he made the phone call to the manager and persuaded him to save the delivery fee for me. It was my first time for buying a mattress at the shop which was recommended by my friend and I dont regret that.

When I entered Mattress firm a white gentleman stated someone will be with us shortly to assist me. The white man was in the middle of assisting another customer ( white Lady).When he thought he was done with the white lady he then ask to Assist’s me. The white lady abruptly interrupted us by asking the salesman a question. The salesman Rudely dismissed me to answer the white lady. I then continued to walk towards the back of the business and was ask by A salesman Richard who was professional and welcoming. A young lady who helped assist me with my purchase was welcoming as well.Overall my experience was good. Being assisted by Richard and the young lady.

After waiting two and a half months for a mattress due to two separate orders being cancelled by two other companies, Mattress Firm Midtown East came through for us in less than 24 hours. Came into Mattress firm at 969 3rd Avenue on Monday March 8 at 4pm.Came in with the idea of testing out new mattresses and not buying.Was welcomed by a salesperson who Asked me first what price range and directed me to the showroom.Before laying down to test out ANY mattress, he asked me when I wanted it delivered. A bit aggressive.Then I asked him to give us some space so I could lay down, test the mattresses - so I could test out on my own without having someone breathing down my neck. He came back to me and my wife about the whole “covid” speech that he needs to wipe the mattresses and preferred I select specific mattresses. Good comeback.We left and went across the street at an official mattres firm called Tempur Pedic.Guy there, Khaleel welcomed us, and showed us what his inventory was, and what we were looking for, and set up for us to test EVERY mattress on the floor!!! (Yes he wiped after we tested and yes, he did it multiple times, that’s part of the job).As a result, I bought and ordered that day at 540pm - specially coming from such a poor customer service environment at 969 3rd Avenue.I see they have so many amazing reviews, so maybe I was an exception or maybe they do every possible way to attract AMAZING reviews.

We visited several stores before stepping into this Mattress Firm today and we can honestly say our experience here was beyond comparison. Moncef was knowledgeable and thoughtful, and most importantly respectful of our decision making process. Also, the sanitation precautions for Covid were front and center, which allowed us to try out the mattresses safely.

My fiancee and I went to this store looking to purchase a new mattress. We had been sleeping on our futon for over a year which led to us developing back pain. When we first entered the store, we didnt know what type of mattress we wanted or what size to get. The sales associate in the store greeted us on arrival and immediately helped us to ultimately find our dream mattress. Mr. Kwesi Snagg showed us multiple mattresses (full, queen, soft, medium, firm). He also showed us multiple brands from different companies. And after trying out many mattresses, my fiancee and I purchased the Alcove Hybrid Plush Queen Mattress and the Adjustable Base. The base comes with an adjustable head/foot, massage, and phone charger outlet in the back. We are incredibly happy with our purchase. We even purchased the 10 year warranty plan and feel like this decision will last us for many years to come. I highly recommend this store! Mr. Snagg is amazing, hospitable, and very informative.

First the guy in the store is arrogant and his only answer to any question is “well that is what you get for that price” so basically if I am purchasing something cheaper than $ 400 the mattress has no features.But then it gets worse, after I made my son try every mattress I purchase one I was suppose to receive it tomorrow (a 15 days wait) . We reorganize our weekend to be at home for the delivery. I made the purchase 2 weeks ago, but only today (Saturday PM) less than 24 hours I received a call from the store saying I could only receive it on the 25th? Really? Mattress Firm is a scam !

We bought an expensive queen Whitfield Plus Legends mattress about two months ago from Bill at mattress firm. After all costs, taxes and discounts, the total was over $3,000 -- a lot, sure, but we were willing to pay to sleep well. To begin, Ill say our experience in store was great, but things quickly went south from there.First, the delivery people scratched the floors and the unit we received had holes in the top padding. I took pictures and sent it to Bill, but through a bureaucratic mess of excuses, there was no resolution on either of those. We tried to like the mattress anyway.But it was terrible! It was hard, had unusual and inconsistent support in the shorter direction, and slept *really* hot. And I mean, really hot. After about a month and given our terrible delivery experience, we decided we were going to return and not exchange the mattress. The experience had convinced us to try an online bed-in-a-box.*It turns out returns to Mattress Firm are a scam.* Full stop. As part of the initial deal, we were given an adjustable base for free. For returns, they only take back the mattress and charge you for the adjustable base -- even if you dont want it -- and, on top of that, you get charged a restocking fee that I was initially told was about $250. Even though the adjustable bases full price (and they always discount it when they actually sell it) is $499, they only refunded us about $2,000, meaning the restocking fee was somehow $500.This means that our month of sleeping on a terribly hard, inconsistent, very hot mattress cost us $1,000. We dont want the adjustable base. When the delivery people picked up the mattress -- completely unprompted -- one of the guys pointed out to me that he thought this unit was faulty based on the very inconsistent build he noticed.Two days ago, Mattress Firm announced they were considering bankruptcy. I can only imagine that delivery issues, poor mattress quality, and refund policies that are essentially scams have gone along way in contributing to that. Online mattress-in-a-box shops actually give you full refunds, and when youre spending $3k, its worth it to have that option, even if you think youll love the mattress like we did.
