Our experiences with Jensen Lewis have always been great, starting years ago in the old Chelsea location. Have only dealt with staff who were actually a pleasure to work with, knew their stuff, followed up. Furniture was as ordered, excellent quality, lasted more than a decade and still going. We did once go to another furniture store (R and F) that was horrible by comparison - from issues w delivered furniture to prices and financing gimmicks (not the salespersons fault). Just sayin: J-L is the place we go back to.

Absolutely excellent variety of home furnishings -- dining room chairs (which we just shopped for), dining room tables, rugs, beds, sofas, lift desks and desk chairs, etc. Jensen-Lewis is not inexpensive by any means, but you get what you pay for, and the quality and beautiful design more than justify the prices. Much of the inventory here is of the latest and best Italian design. The service here is equally excellent, helpful but never pushy, cheerful but not overbearing. My only complaint would be the long delivery times -- weeks and even months in some cases -- but that is explainable by the virtually custom-built nature of your purchases.

Avalon was of great assistance as we picked out our new furniture. She was both knowledgeable and patient, and clearly explained our options. The showroom has a wide selection of items to choose from, too.

Be warned - I bought a $2500 chair in March with an expected delivery of June 1. It is now July 19 and no chair has been delivered. Ive had to call half a dozen times for updates and received nothing to verify delivery (nor a discount or anything else of that nature). Told I cant get a refund. Now Ive filed a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Fraud and if it comes to it Ill be getting a private lawyer. First time in my life Ive had to go through this, and hopefully this can persuade someone to avoid this place.Edit: Read owners response, and while I appreciate the offer of a charge removal, its another thing where I do not have any verification. No refund has been given as of this writing. The receipt does not in its entirety mention custom or special anywhere on it. This was an order from their floor and nothing custom was desired other than a color choice, which was on offer.

Placed an order for a sleeper sofa and left a deposit of over $1,000 on August 8. Was informed a couple of weeks later that the sofa was no longer available on the east coast and would be shipped from California in mid to late November. As we approach Christmas our couch has still not arrived. Repeated calls for information or updates on delivery have gone unanswered. The customer care at this store is horrendous. If you must buy from Jensen Lewis, pick another location. Actually, you may want to just pick another store. UPDATE: After posting this, the store did contact us and arranged a delivery date. They also removed the delivery charge and apologized for the circumstance.
