I called the Upper West location on 82nd St moments after receiving an email that a prior mattress I was in the process of returning (Tulo) was scheduled to be picked up in 2 days. I immediately called my nearest Mattress Firm, in fears that I would soon be sleeping on my couch, to understand what my options were. Courtney answered the phone and he was a total pro. Friendly and knowledgeable come to mind. He immediately began explaining the difference in mattresses at certain price points and even let me know what my options were to have something delivered the same week. My partner and I visited the store and took our sweet time trying mattresses to avoid making the same mistake twice, and Courtney was very nice about it. I would highly recommend speaking to him if you need an expert opinion and value great customer service.

My wife and I stopped by the Upper West Side location (2273 Broadway) and were greeted by Jameel, who normally works at the Verdi Square store (2080 Broadway). Even though we didnt really know what we wanted (other than a bed that was more comfortable than our last one), Jameel patiently explained the technical differences between the different models as well as which mattress different types of customers commonly choose. He let us take our time trying various beds and pillows, all the while being chill, good-natured, and informative.In the end, we selected the Pro Adapt Medium king-size mattress, even though we came into the store thinking wed most likely get the Tempur-Adapt Medium Hybrid. Following the sale, Jameel kept us informed about the delivery, which happened on schedule and with stunning quickness. Within what seemed like just 5 minutes, the delivery team had carted out our old queen-size mattress (I dont remember the brand), brought in the new glorious one, taken the plastic wrap to the trash, and said goodbye.Since receiving the Pro Adapt Medium mattress, weve been singing its praises on a daily basis. We also finally decided on pillows, one Tempur-Adapt ProMid and one Tempur-Breeze ProHi. We absolutely love the mattress and have no complaints, other than questioning why we waited so long to make the change. Big thanks to Jameel for all his help and top-notch service!!

I just moved to the city this year, and Ashley at the Mattress Firm Broadway location near the Upper West Side insured that we got a great deal and found a mattress that was extremely comfortable. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. I have placed 2 orders with this company in the last month, one of them in the midtown location which they were extremely polite and quick with efficient service the other in the Upper West Side location at 2273 Broadway. I came in looking for a king mattress with a specific budget and the Manager Jameel was quick to show me a sale item which was on clearance which at first I thought was very helpful. I thought this was a great deal and happily ordered the mattress the next day. After that it went all down the hill with these guys. I needed a COI and 2 other forms with my building as most buildings need in New York City. After 30 painful emails, 100 calls back and forth I had still just half the info needed for delivery from these guys. The night before I asked them again and mentioned that if the paperwork was not done prior to delivery not to waste time with the delivery as my building would decline the delivery, another sales worker named Abdel told me very rudely, that Im tired and want to go home, 30 minutes prior to the shop closing. NOTHING IS RESOLVED other than more rude behavior. They waited until 30 minutes before my delivery the next day to finally send me the forms my building needed. The mattress arrived but wait its not over yet. As you can see in the photo there are huge signs saying pre-owned. So after all this nonsense and pain to get the delivery done they sent me a used mattress during Covid-19. I emailed the manager again asking what on earth is this and he actually had the nerve to tell me that he told me that he mentioned to me that it was a pre-used item. I asked him to please review his camera footage as this is COMPLETE LIE and I am currently still waiting for a refund. Never in my life in NYC have I witnessed such incompetence and behavior for such a simple order. My husband and I will be sleeping on a couch now for a few days due to this. If you live in a building in New York City and need paperwork done prior to delivery and want to avoid this type of mess, then I suggest you avoid this location at all costs.

My experience at mattress firm, on the west side, was great! The sales representative, Sabrina, was very friendly and helpful. Sabrina, greeted me, as soon as, I walked in the store. Further, Sabrina, assisted me in finding the perfect mattress. I expressed all of my concerns with my previous mattress to Sabrina and Sabrina, listened to all of my concerns, and recommended me some sweet mattress options, to choose from. Sabrina, also, allowed me to take as much time as, I needed, to feel out every mattress and to answer any questions, regarding the different mattresses. In result, I decided to purchase the beauty rest plush top and it’s only been theee days, hence, so far, I love it! Thank you, so much, for all your help, knowledge, and patience, Sabrina. They have sanitizer, gloves, and masks at the front door and give you “pillow napkins” to place on the pillows so you are not touching them. There are also stickers on the floor for spacing.
