I have been eating here nearly monthly for 20 years. My guests and I have always had great meals at a reasonable cost. The only caution is that the desserts are generally low-sugar, so if you have a sweet teeth, I would recommend having dessert elsewhere (with an exception for their sweet dishes at Sunday Brunch).
Hidden gem in the Upper West Side. Very friendly service, quite tasty food, & good portions for your dollar. Large windows make for great viewing as well. 5/5!
Wife, me and 2 kids, NYC vacation. Breakfast cost $92 not including tip. This place is very expensive, $15 for a waffle, no meat, only waffle + 4 fresh strawberries. Food was tasty, I had a scrambled eggs dish, eggs were cooked perfectly. Location was nice, decor was nice, a very old-world feel. Large windows for viewing lively city in-motion. Service was very good. Cannot get over the pricey menu. Probably would not return due to how expensive it is for a family meal.
This place is worth giving a shot. They serve large portions for convenient prices. Always well organized and with great ambience. Will visit here again.
This place is amazing! The breakfast food is my favorite, brunch is excellent, & lunch and dinner so delicious!I recommend to everyone! Great for couples, family, kids, friends, everyone. The staff is very efficient & if there is ever an issue (I never had one but just in case) the manager is on the floor the entire time. Excellent service.Food is always fresh & delicious.
I love the neighborhood comfort feel of this place. The chicken and waffles are great. You must try the Strawberry Filled. A nice size waffle topped with lots of fresh strawberries, ice cream and whipped ream. It is to die for.
Fantastic place to eat. Not only is the food amazing but the service is one of the best you will experience. If you ever have any issues with your order, where you are seating, etc. they don’t hesitate to make sure it is fixed. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, I wish more restaurants had their type of service. The food here really is fantastic. Whether it’s breakfast/brunch and you want eggs and pancakes or if it’s dinner and you want a burger, you can never go wrong. They will also accommodate any request you may have.
Theyre back! Newly renovated bakery on the corner of 93d & 3d! Same great food, but with a new items on the menu, including BAGELS (and cream cheeses), both made on premises! Bit on the pricey side, but cant beat the good quality and hospitable service. Great coffee, as well!New menu includes breakfast/lunch sandwiches, variety of bagels/cream cheeses, variety of salads, and of course, their usual bakery items--which, has dwindled in selection (apparently). However, today is my first time here since they opened Wednesday, so they might roll out more baked goods of their past.Great to have them back again! Enjoy!
One of the best food I had while I was visiting Washington DC. I had shrimp scampi fettuccine, its cooked perfectly 😋😋😋 The price are so good 😊Now I wil be looking for The Corner Bakery Cafe everywhere I go in the State. I found one in NYC...Definitely we will be going there in a couple of days while we in New York and in Las Vegas as well before we head home to Australia..
Im there minimum 3 times a day. Food is great, so is the service. Big fan!!!
We got together with good friends for a nice dinner. Everyone was happy with their meal, from the hummus plate to the meat loaf. Prices are reasonable, service is excellent.
Incredible!! Omelettes, muffins, fruit platter all extraordinary! Friendly, efficient service. We will be back!
Ive been coming here on the weekends for several months now and I order the same thing. Toasted Croissant, Avocado, Tomato and Onion w salt/pepper. This has always cost $6.95 which is a lot but I am willing to pay because of the quality is good. Today I ordered the same thing and they added a $1.25 charge to the order for the croissant. So essentially I would be paying $6.95 for only some avocado, slices, tomato and onion. Then an additional charge of $1.25 for the croissant bringing the total to close to $9 for a veggie sandwich. Are you kidding me!!! I realize things are not cheap on the UES but this is obnoxious. I told them to refund my order and walked out. I will never pay $6.95 for avocado, tomato and onion then pay extra for the bread. Where do you get the nerve to charge this???
Pleasantly surprised with all meals. Stumbled upon the location randomly. Brunch was fantastic. Total of 5 meals and all were beyond delicious!
This is a super cute brunch spot. Very tasty fare, but be prepared for a bit of a wait during rush times.
Food was excellent, well priced and Robert took excellent care of us. What a nice experience
Maybe I got unlucky. My server poured coffee into my cappuccino. My order was messed up and ended up giving me a bad stomach ache. They were nice enough to give me a discount. I ordered a savoury dish that mixed a steak and waffle. My friend ordered a sweet dish that looked and tasted amazing. Your mileage will vary. Seems like a solid place for comfort food.
Great food, and friendly service! They can be a bit slow sometimes so 4 stars but this is our place for brunch!
I eat here more often than at any other establishment. I originally discovered them because they needed my help in computer repairs, but I dont go there just because I know the owner or because I sometimes get free meals. I also take dates there. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. This is not a paid endorsement.
Was looking for a coffee shop/diner for some scrambled eggs...got so much more! Delicious food, prepared with care (bacon in omelette was chopped, not just thrown in), lightly toasted bread - clearly bakery, not packaged- fabulous meal (with nice side salad, twice-baked potatoes YUM). $15 for breakfast is a little pricey but Ive paid $12 for eggs and home fries that wasnt nearly as good! Ill be back.
The prepared foods for take-home are excellent. Best cole slaw in the city (a little spicy, with thin slices of red pepper) and the chicken curry is delicious. The only problem is you never know which days the chef will deign to prepare these, or any other specific dishes. Its all hit or miss.
Their bagels are great! Had breakfast with my friend this morning! Service is so good and cafe is cozy.
Good food. Polite but painfully slow service.
Great food, service could use a little work. The hostess was great- got us seated and brought coffee, but our waitress was a bit lacking. Had to hail another waiter to get coffee refills and water.
This place obviously suffers from poor management and poor hiring.Another joke of a location in the Upper East Side. One my first and last trip there, we waited for 3 awkward minutes while the whole staff behind the counter were arguing with each other as to who had to make our salads. The best was the line to his colleague from the dude with the large hooped ear hole earrings and bad attitude that, Im gonna let you make the salad so I can do my work... We walked out before taking the risk of eating there. Heres a hint for that oddball, your first job should be to bring in revenue to the shop through paying customers. Gotta love employees who DGAF about their job or the business they are working for.
The food took a very long time to come out the bread was nice and the service was nice too the food portions were really big and enough to serve 2 people. Over all a great place to dine for breakfast lunch or dinner just expect a long waiting time.
Good variety and selection of food. I especially liked the curry lentil soup.
The food is delicious! Had one of the best veggie burgers Ive had in a long time. Sweet potato fries were fried to crisp perfection! My girlfriend had the Lone Star Kobe burger grilled medium rare that even that chef on tv that loves to yell would approve! Quick, friendly service. For dessert we had the Turtle Cheese Cake, yummy only begins to describe how delicious its! A great place to go with family and friends. Looking forward to my next visit soon!
Party of 10 was accomodated (but make a reservation) Food was great and you are not rushed out. Very family friendly.
The place is full of people of all ages, from small children to elderly couples. Its not the trendiest spot or anything but the food is good and their baked goods look amazing. Convenient location and since its such a huge place, the wait for a table isnt bad.
2 stars for the service (bit of a circus, plenty of smiles), 1 star for the piping hot, fresh griddled, fluffy pancakes. unfortunately the pancakes are more fluff than flavor.
Fantastic omelette options! Very tasty corn muffins. Excellent and prompt service
The owner Paul is phenomenal. Great guy and, there is a tremendous food selection and the food is great!
Good food, nice and helpful staff. Terrific location just by Ballet Academy East.
Food good. Restraunt very dirty. I will not go after many years, again. Air conditioning vents filthy. Floor corners have not been washed or swept in ages. I took pictures . How this business gets an A is unbelievable. Corners is due for a makeover .👎
Great food and staff. Best bread pudding
A really nice neighborhood restaurant with real good diner food and pastries that makes you want to come backService is friendly portions are for more than one and price are really affordableI can only praise this place if you want to brunch with friends in the Upper east side and you are not looking for one of those super trendy places
Good food, reasonable service, old tables, old fashioned atmosphere
Good simple food. Nice staff. Burgers and saladsGood desert.
I do not recommend delivery service. Tried twice and both times were a disaster. Quoted 30 minutes--after 60 minutes, cancelled.
We went there yesterday (05/15/2018) It was very good food and the service was pretty good. It did take a little bit longer than usual for our food to arrive.
This is a undiscovered gem of a place on the UES. Best omelette in the city if you ask me. I have been going here for 23 years and have never had a bad meal. There can be a wait for weekend lunch/brunch so get there early if you want to be seated immediately. This is also a go-to spot for me for pre-made sandwiches and salads...a bit pricey but worth it!
A pricier option without the quality or service to match. Coffee came after the food. $20 waffles.
Not only is it pricey, the service is horrible, I ordered a Mocha with almond milk and I received a cafe au lait with foam, not mocha. Besides it being completely unflavored. I am pretty sure the manager noticed and I had to tell her before i left when then she run to check and they had done it wrong.
Great food. Breakfast all day. Good kids menu. Will go again.
Great breakfasts. Lox on a bagel stick and chicken tenders very good.
Great service and were able to accommodate my menu requests.
They did magic with oatmeal! Excellent service.
Always get service and the food NEVER disappoints!!!
Food was great and service was friendly
Great irish iatmesl. Yummy scones. A bit pricey, but service is excellent
Nice big apple corner diner.Excellent food. Clean.
AmaIng food and amazing atmosphere. Every time I come to New York, Im coming here.
Nice dinner for a big group and for kids! The place is big and very kid friendly. The food was ok, good huevos rancheros and eggs Benedics. The price quality ratio is also good, nothing fancy or posh, just simple breakfast/lunch food
A great place to have lunch/brunch. Their menu is varied enough to cover everyones food cravings.
Terribly slow service. You would think at 8 on a Sunday morning you would bring your A game; they did not. 20 minutes for two bagels and two coffees with maybe 20 patrons in the building. Quite incompetent.
I ordered my food and then 15 minutes later my waiter came to verify my order and had it completely wrong. I had to wait another 20 minutes to even get served. Not a great experience.
Descent food and service
Pancakes were delicious, will definitely be back.
Nice relaxed spot.
Excellent! Been eating there for years.
The best!! I eat food there every day!!
Fantastic breakfast and very reasonable prices
This is so excellent, nice to have dinner here
The service was slow and sub par and the food was very mediocre.
Our go to spot for bagels on the UES.
Overpriced bland food
Go to for simply good food .
Clean and good service
I love that place !
This place is constantly closed for the worst of reasons. When they are open, their selection has the variety of a state prison. It upsets me to no end. Going somewhere else for my cupcakes...
Sometimes, they actually get your order right...
Good food
Would rate 0 if could.
Always great!

Awesome from top to bottom
