Bagels are pretty good but the eggs are thin and they don’t have many good sandwich options. The bagels are soft and yummy. However, the eggs are super thin so if you want a breakfast sandwich I would go elsewhere. Also I was suprised by how few sandwich combinations they had on their menu and wish they had more options. Chive cream cheese was good.
Awful experience. I placed an online order for pick up and the woman said they never got it despite showing me her the receipt I received via email. She refused to look into and when I asked if I could just pay for a new order here she told me I had to get to the back of a giant line. I had already waited in the check out line for 10 minutes. Terrible customer service. I will not be returning to this bagel place. Much better options in the city anyway.
Great staying power over quite a few years . Servers have become much friendlier a more welcoming feature but attention must be paid to efficiency of preparation maintaining a constant flow of customers, too many walking out after having not ordered but something must be right their still here and for that we are grateful.
My plain bagel was stale. Veggie cream cheese tasted extremely sour. Staff not wearing masks at all. And the establishment isn’t clean.
Quality isn’t consistent. Customer service is great for regulars, subpar if you don’t eat bagels every single day.
Was a decent bagel 🥯 that I ate. There was a coffee ☕ and bagel special price, which I didnt get since I ordered scallion cream cheese instead of plain cream cheese (I was unaware of that). So, they charged me $2 extra, which I thought was pretty chinzy for a small amount of chopped green onions in it. When I pointed that out to the cashier, she said that was house policy. Ill look elsewhere next time Im in the neighborhood.
Large selection of bagels and breakfast items. They also do catering.
Walked in. Two people are waiting for their orders. A family walked in after me. Both employees at the counter ignored me after making eye contact with me, talking to one another in Spanish. After servicing the two customers before me, both employees took the familys large order. Walked out.Truly the death nail in my relationship with my nasty neighbors after repeated appalling customer service. Its a shame that the people two doors down cant manage to give even the slightest friendly helpful service. Ill happily cross the street and go to Daniels!!!
Their bagel and lox is the best in Murray Hill!
The worst bagel I ate in my life - hard as a stone. For Bagel with salmon - $15. Do not stop there
Went there this morning, asked for an iced coffee, the cashier picked his nose, wiped it on his apron, then put the top on my coffee. Gross dude.
Ordered $40 worth of food on DoorDash. Called in to make sure it was confirmed. These SOB’s acted like my phone call disrupted the birth of their first child. Jesus f’in Christ man. I just wanted to confirm my order. I didn’t ask to be f’in condescended after I just spent $40 m’fin dollars on bagels. Christ. Treat people with respect man.
I found a hair in my cream cheese bagel, and on top of that the workers were very rude.
Gotta love the fresh bagels at 6am... their blueberry bagels are to die for... love the service from everyone there
Delicious hot bagels with schmear of all different types. Paté anyone?
Great customer service!
Kosher, should include in description
Be wary of time they stop serving.. I went at 1:35pm and the door was locked. I knocked on window and employee shook his head no. I pointed at my wrist and held up the number two as to say it wasnt 2pm and the employee continued to ignore me. Another staff shared some words with him but didnt open the door or assist me.I wasnt a regular but would stop in instead of the other folks across the street.I wont be going back, I need reliable times.Beside that, food is descent and price is what youll pay in the area.
Did deliveries for them. Very fast and friendly service. Good food.
The bagels are standard NY bagels, but I’m just so grossed out that twice now I’ve gotten bottles of Snapple that reek of cigarettes. I’m gonna walk the few extra blocks to another spot. It’s not worth it.
Best Bagels in the neighborhood. I am here everyday and the Bagels are the best! My favorite is the Honey Whole Wheat Bagel with Cream Cheese and Jelly.
Food is good. The customer service is bad. The Spanish girl at the front counter doesnt greet you, doesnt smile and doesnt make you feel welcome. If she screws up your order she gives you bad attitude. It takes away from the overall enjoyment and eating experience. She needs to be trained properly or replaced. We wont be going back for awhile because shes so unfriendly. There are many other choices in the neighborhood with much better customer service.
BEST BAGELS in Manhattan!!! Bagel Boss if the place to go for amazing freshly baked and super tasty bagels. You will definitely NOT be disappointed. Thanks, Bagel Boss!
Love their bagels. Staff is very friendly.
Enjoy taking my grandson for their excellent bagels. People behind the counter always know that Eddie wants an untoasted (plain) bagel with cream cheese and a round cinnamon roll. Excellent whole wheat bagels too.
If you are looking for a great bagel and cup of coffee, definitely visit this place. Visiting from out of town and decided to try this place for breakfast one day as it had excellent reviews. I got an everything with scallion cream cheese...it was probably the best bagel Ive ever had. Im not sure how I can have bagels in the future without comparing it to that bagel, and am truly sad that scallion cream cheese isnt a thing where I live. Had a cup of coffee, they make it for you. Usually, someone else adding the ratio for me means it wont be the best coffee, too strong or too creamy, and I wasnt expecting a super great cup. I was wrong....coffee was fantastic! That was the best quick breakfast Ive had in a long time. My husband had a Bran muffin that was super yummy, not like most bran muffins. We tried a different bagel place the next day, wasnt as good, and came back a second time. First time, we were the only ones there and just ordered at the register. Second time had a few folks in after us. We didnt know you order at the window. We had been waiting at the register to order, and we would have taken our place in line again, but they kindly still took our order. Friendly staff. Clean place. Highly recommend!
Baked Salmon, black n white, iced coffee all very good. Place very clean.Bagel also tasty.
Buying bagles in New York can be overwhelming, with slow lines, crowded shops, and yelling over the counter multiple times to place an order. My experience at Bagel Boss was quite the opposite - while the line seemed fairly long and the store was not small, we moved quickly through the line because the employees operated with an efficiency that I had never seen before. One employee asked me for my order at the beginning of the line and remembered everything, so I spent my time in line chatting with friends and didnt have to worry about repeating my order. As I got towards the end of the line, an employee asked multiple people at once if they wanted any tea or coffee, and once again remembered everything and prepared it in time such that it was ready before anyone was checking out. The employee operating the register punched in my order while finishing the credit card/receipt process for the customer in front of me, saving time in a checkout process that can otherwise be pretty slow. Overall, it was very easy to order what I wanted and I never felt anxious. The egg sandwich that I ordered was fantastic - the everything bagel it was on was soft and flavorful. I ended up going back the next day to get the same thing. While they have a great selection of cream cheeses, I wish that their bagel selection was larger.
Made fresh. I actually think these are the best bagels I’ve had in nyc. Friendly. Quick. No big complaints for a bagel shop.
Better than Ess-e bagel. Skip that massive line and taste excellence.
Awesome bagels, super friendly service, its a travesty that this place doesnt show up when you search for bagels on google maps. The server was wonderful and so helpful, offering freezer bags and adding a few extras to try to our dozen! We love this place, cant recommend it enough!
I love the breakfast and pasta salad with tuna for lunch.
Pretty good, but staff often has trouble with my orders including trying to give me caffeinated coffee just because they knowingly werent sure and only fixing when I noted it then grabbed right pot. Also there whole wheat bagels are very obviously almost all refined white wheat (see my pic) / not as healthy as many other better bagel places. They do carry tofu cream cheese (vegan) in multiple varieties (plan, veggie, scallion, and maybe others).
Boss of all the bagels!
Super tasty! We had a lox bagel and one with cream cheese. The menu was complicated, by the guy behind the counter took time to explain it to us. He was unexpectedly patient.
Awesome bagel! Love my rainbow bagel!!! The employee are also super nice!
Great bagels with a lot of options. Cinnamon raisin and rainbow bagels were delicious!
The building may not be the nicest, or cutest place, but their bagels are delicious! Theyre very nice people and they have a wide range of cream cheese choices!
Best bagels in the city
Best fresh bagels and homemade strawberry cream cheese I may even have tons of different flavored cream cheese even some with sprinkles
Best bagel shop ever! Fresh ingredients and great service
Great food and wonderful service. Not A usually crowded even during lunch hours...
Oh thats some burnt coffee.Too hot; scorched my tastebuds first thing in the morning...
Best bagel on long Island takes over NYC! Ive been eating bagel boss since the 80s from their shop in Hicksville. When our family moved 2 Seattle bagels from Bagel Boss easily makes top 3 things that I miss from NY.My kids literally grew up on foods fr Bagel Boss....from bagels, bialys (my personal favorite), pastries & deli items that are ALWAYS fresh. They are now young adults & still remember & crave Bagel Boss food! Now, apparently there is this rainbow cookie shake that they make that is to die for according 2 my kids. I havent had it yet but Im visiting next week & I just might! This is a family store run by father & his sons - the sweetest, hard working guys & they care about their customers going above & beyond to meet your complete satisfaction.
Great bagels and sides. Good spot for breakfast and lunch!
Great bagels and you can get in and out quickly.
Solid bagels and lox. Not the best Ive ever had but gets the job done and a great spot if you need to get some breakfast close to NYU Medical Center.
Price is a little high but for that party of the city I guess its not that bad.
Great selection of baked goods and salads. I highly recommend getting a toasted bagel with baked salmon spread.
Decent bagel, maybe Im living in past but when I walk out of a place with 2 bagels and a small coffee and its +$10 I cant justify that. But the patrons are more snarky than the staff. tl;dr really good but really expensive.
Like most of these places...great bagels. Great staff. Few tables.
Probably one of the worst bagels Ive had in Manhattan in the 25 years Ive came to the city. Ive had a better breakfast sandwich at shoprite
Good hours for an early day. Coffee gets the job done, but nothing special.
Best bagels in town. Sandwiches are excellent.
Smoke salmon and cream cheese! The best
I came here bc I wanted to have a bagel and use WiFi to work while I eat. I called in advance and asked if they have WiFi. The answer was yes, and I came, and was told there is no WiFi. Girls at registers werent welcoming or anything. They behaved like they did not want to work. I would not come here again.
This was an amazing -- and very much authentic -- NY bagel experience!
Awful service and my bagel came with basically a rubber egg on it, barely toasted, and no butter. The cashier ever complained to me about the customers. Do not waste your time or money.
Pretty good, kind of slow svc.
The most amazing food
Great taste, great service and pleasant neighbour hold vibes
Bagels are great. Couldnt eat the hashbrowns.
14.14 for a Lox Bagel that you wait 10 minutes to pay for. Very disorganized process.
Good service good food
Good service, great bagels and great options
Nice place. Fast pace.
Good service and good food
I love bagels!
Good bagels, quick service!
Live above this place. Its five stars when they have blueberry bagels - but selection seems to be random and inconsistent.
My favorite bagel place in murray hill!
Salmon Salad is amazing
Very good bagels
The best hand rolled bagels in New York!
Best bagels in Murray Hill.
Very. Good. Delicious.
So big price for everything . And tastes not good .
Worst bacon egg and cheese I’ve ever had
Great place to get food
Too expensive for simple bagels such as the tuna salad
Great delicious bagels
The bagel was good
Food is not so good to me

Just not my cup of tea.
