I am shopping the local NY market yet I live in NC! I am SOOOO impressed. I went to multiple websites looking for a chek booster clip-in carseat. @BuyBuyBaby didnt carry this brand....nor does BuyBuyBaby EVER HAS SALES LIKE 20 PERCENT OFF. Not only did AlbeeBaby have a 20 percent off sale on a lot of high-ticket items (not mine in particular but was $50 off anyways from what Ive seen on manufacturers site) but they also will give 20 PERCENT OFF TO FIRST RESPONDERS, HOSPITAL WORKERS, AND MILITARY!!! I love that! I also LOVED their website layout. Unlike a lot of others, even the manufacturer, chek, their site was impossible to get through and compare shop quick. I was able to not only compare, but find another color I didnt realize was available. I just have never heard of this, it was merely just a review of a certain - high priced car boosterseat company thats not as mainstream as the ones you remember from Toys R Us, Babies R Us, etc....so I think this was fabulous to have these options! Now I already am so impressed, but just as I get back from running errands three hours after placing this order do I get an email from @ALBEEBABY informing me MY TWO BOOSTER SEATS WILL BE HERE UPS TOMORROW!!!! Wait! How is that possible! So good for you, you made my day....Ive cleaned out my car and now my carseats will be locked and loaded in my car before the car gets messy again! Yay!!

Car seat arrived without a plastic bag and very dusty. Looked like a used/display item. I contacted customer server and was told new car seats dont come in a plastic cover. I even provided images of how dusty it was. How can a new item be very dusty? They sell baby products and did not put in any thoughts and considerations that, of all things, baby products should be extra clean and well packaged, especially during the pandemic. Who runs a baby product business like this is beyond me. Now I have to pay $20 shipping fee to return the dirty car seat that we cannot use for our child. Horrible company policy.

A family member purchased a gift through my registry, and the item was available in Albee Baby. They made the purchase on April 30th, and the email they have received was saying the shipping would take up to 2 weeks. On May 14th, I called to check if there are any updates about my order, or if they could provide me a tracking info. They said it has been shipped from west coast (to east coast) but they cant see the tracking info yet, and asked me to call back. I called them today (May 19th) and someone else responded, saying that the item has not been shipped from manufacturer yet. What the heck... I said what Ive been told a couple of days ago and they said they dont know why. I said this whole process has been frustrating and want to give feedback, and she was so rude that she didnt even respond. Who should I call to get info about the order; the website I made the purchase through or the manufacturer? Im just hoping to receive the item safe and clean, because I cant even imagine how the cancellation/return process would be...

I placed an order for a bugaboo stroller from Albee Baby and received a super scratched and dented stroller, I contacted their customer service team and it has been a horrible experience. They respond to me every 2 days and instead of being apologetic about the situation and trying to make things right they are offering me a really low discount for me to keep the scratched stroller. Overall horrible horrible customer service, not feeling valued as a customer and I definitely dont feel they are trying to make things right. Super rude supervisor as well.

Looking to buy another friend a Baby shower gift because this is my go to store I stumbled on the Google review and couldnt understand why the negative reviews. I bought Bugaboo and Baby Zen strollers car seats carriers name it I bought from them and I NEVER had a problem with there service and they prices are better than anywhere else. FACT. All their internet discounts can be applied in store and they have everything thats in style for these kids. Its the ONLY place worth shopping for baby and kids stuff.

The item was never delivered. It was damaged in transit and returned to Albee by the shipper directly. Albee doesnt automatically refund or resend a new one. I emailed a week ago, no response. I called this morning and was told they dont do anything unless they get a call. Beware. I would not use Albee for a gift - unless you can ask the person if they received your gift.

I absolutely loved my car seat stroller!! I got the doona 2in1 car seat stroller and Albee baby not only gave me my dream stroller for my babygirl but also gave me a huge discount for Labor Day ! The stroller is originally $499 and Albee baby had it for $399 i did preorder the stroller and got it in a month but it shipped exactly when it said it would so pay attention to shipment dates ! It came in perfect condition and nothing was wrong with my shipment nor package. I read reviews and read so many bad reviews so i was super scared ordering from here cause i live in Chicago IL and Albee baby is all the way in New York but i have no complaints just absolutely in love and can’t wait to see my babygirl in it ! Legit the worst customer service. Great products online but if you need any returns or defective products- you will have a very hard time. My stroller came missing parts for safety and they had my on a goose chase to get it and told me to use the stroller without all the safety features!!

Purchased a stroller at Albee Baby today. Had it in stock and able to take it home today. Store is friendly with lots of inventory and very competitive prices. Richard was a terrific salesperson! He took the time to explain everything about the stroller, patiently answered our questions, and gave us some hands on training. Great store and great staff! Support Albee Baby!

Hm. Ive had nothing but great experiences with Albee Baby. Im kind of shocked to read very negative reviews about this place (although it seems like the issue lies with returns to the manufacturer?)... I would say go in here if you can, Ive never had an issue with something Ive purchased in store and the staff is extremely helpful. And they work with you on prices. I give them some leeway because they dont have the same resources that BBB does, but its a local small business and I feel everyone should make the effort to support them so were not only left with giant chain stores. My last experience at BBB was disappointing, the staff were clueless and were not able to help answer my questions. The staff here really know the inventory and are a great help if you dont know what to put on your registry. Cant find parking here but thats all of NYC. They have a curated product selection so if they sell it on their website, its top of the line.

I was a bit nervous ordering from Albee given the many negative reviews. However, I had a great experience - no problems at all. I ordered a Maxi Cozi Pria 3-in-1 car seat for my daughter. They were the only store I could find that had the color I wanted and the price was the same as Buy Buy Baby and Target. The car seat shipped the next day and arrived with no problems. Since I wasn’t going to be home the day of delivery, I did have to change my UPS settings so that no signature was required. Car seat came in good condition - no complaints!

A carseat was purchased from AlbeeBaby as a gift for me for my baby shower. It ended up not being compatible with my stroller so I had to return it. I had to pay $58 for the return shipping. Three weeks after it was returned I had still not received the refund. Turns out every time I made an inquiry as to where the refund was, they were contacting the gift giver instead of me so that made it awkward with the person who bought the gift. Then, when they issued the return, they wouldnt tell me where the refund was issued to, my account or the gift giver. I am still trying to figure out where the $200 is and every time I try to call customer service I get sent to voicemail. So Im still missing the $200 and am out $58 for shipping. The car seat is awesome but BUY IT FROM ANOTHER STORE NOT FROM HERE.

I never heard of this website before, until I googled a car seat I wanted which was limited edition. I couldn’t find it anywhere but I saw that Albeebaby.com had it, for $175 cheaper than regular price! I decided to give it a shot an order it.... I have absolutely no complaints! I received the item in less than a week, everything is brand new and works perfectly fine. Will be ordering again! I ordered the 2020 Maxi Cosi Magellan Max in the limited edition color. :)

I purchased a stroller. A travel case for the stroller and one of those straps you attach to the handle for personal items. They do not provide returns labels so I paid $40 to send the items via UPS which is for 79.99 refund and a 29.99 return. I lost the ups label and tried Corresponding with them but it has not been easy at all. I returned the items with the sheet that was delivered to me with the item and hand wrote the reason for return and exchange... it’s been one month and I’ve received one email and no refund or assistance.

Despite all the bad reviews I decided to purchase the Maxi Cosi Lila. When I recieved the stroller I was a little skeptical because the box was beaten up badly. But there was no damage to the stroller and so far I love it. I also ordered the car seat compatible to the stroller and it is great. I am super happy.

Bad experience. Purchased a Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 Convertible Car Seat from them through Amazon. After using it for months we realized that car seat was not new but a returned item. The person who returned it rolled up the harness strap under the seat cover that was bothering our baby as he got bigger. After a while our baby was crying every time he had to sit in it. One day my husband got enough and took the seat apart and figured out what was the issue. Since we used the seat for months I didnt bother to contact Albee Baby. Avoid this store at all cost since you will buy a used item. Thanks Albee Baby to selling us a used car seat!

No response to emails. Claimed they havent received my return despite sending tracking info. Has taken nearly two months to get a response to items I returned. Ended up calling today & dealt with someone completely uninterested & unapologetic. Still havent had the money back, so Ive currently paid over $120 for items I dont even have in my possession anymore. You will also need to pay return postage fees for online orders and its expensive - not worth returning items. Be sure you really want it before you order and keep the tracking number. I get the feeling whether they receive your package or not, theyll put the onus on you to prove it so they dont need to pay out.

Awful experience. Purchased $800 Stokke stroller. Received damaged. Noticed stroller is not new but a returned item. Returned and ordered replacement. Received replacement but that one was missing an item. This was my first and last purchase from this store. They could have easily made $4k from me in less than a month since I’m currently purchasing all my baby nursery items. Avoid this store at all cost. They sell returned items.

The experience of buying the stroller was great! Employee recommended what seemed to be exactly what we needed. Left the store very happy. Unfortunately the stroller started braking within a week of purchased. It took us 3 weeks to get back to the store to exchange for one of higher value, however, the manager would not take the stroller back, he said it was a manufacturer problem and I needed to deal with them directly! Wow! He was very condescending and left no room for negotiation even when we wanted to spend more money at his store! worst customer service ever! Will never go back there! We bought it there originally because we were trying to support smaller businesses etc but I guess we are back to Amazon! I am never again going to that store!

I bought a Diono car seat and it arrived damaged, a strap, as well as the box, was partially cut. We contacted Albee Baby and explained the damage and also explained we no longer had the shipping box and would send the damaged seat back when the new one arrived, they refused. They are now telling us to address the issue with Diono, it has been over a month of trying to deal with this. Totally not worth the slight discount you might get.

I was very nervous after reading all the negative reviews but was desperate as I wanted a color that was discontinued by manufacturer and sold out everywhere else. I was convinced I was out money after a UPS label was generated but sat for 4 days without being picked up/updated. However, got my items overnight from pickup in SC to NY. So thankful that this turned out happily! Also even though the website and store are separate entities, Theo at the store on the Upper West Side in Manhattan is awesome!

Item will never be delivered by its delivery service FexEd because Albee put restrictions on delivery and wont remove them so you can pick up at FedEx. They shipped thru FedEx on 12/2.FedEx claims all different things for failed delivery. Albee will do nothing to help. They wont respond to emails. Dont buy online from this Company. You arent saving $, you are throwing it away because you will never get the item and Albee does not care or help.

It makes me really sad to see all the disappointing reviews. This is a LOCAL business. It means that as a community member it is our responsibility to support them. Every single time I’ve been there they have treated me with the utmost care. They answer my hundreds of questions, never make me feel rushed and when I ask for a discount they work with me. Sure you can go to Buy Buy Baby or Amazon, but then don’t complain when you walk by empty store front after empty store front. They’ve never made a mistake with me, but even if they had - it’s an honest mistake. Do you think they would intentionally send you a wrong item or send a damaged item? Your best bet is to go to the store, speak to the knowledgeable staff. I will say I bought a baby zen yo-yo from them and accidentally left the rain gear behind (they assembled it for me in store). I had mommy brain... and didn’t notice for over a year. They happily gave me a rain cover for my stroller when they really didn’t have to since it was technically my fault. (I’ve purchased many other items here too: toys, 2 other strollers, lotions, diapers, ect). I really wish more people would support local businesses instead of throwing all their business to big box stores. When you spend a dollar locally, that dollar stays in the community. It pays the people at the store who live right here in NYC some even on the UWS. Our parents shopped here, and their parents. Is there nothing to be said about history? Loyalty? Experience? I will continue to shop here (am on baby 2 and plan to go there this weekend). And I hope my daughter will some day get to shop here too.

I ordered a convertible car seat a month ago. Never received it. HUGE HASSLE! They closed my case and took my money. I never got the seat! UPS reopened an investigation for me. Still no seat. No communication with me from Albee Baby. I’ve tried calling, emailing, and request thru the website. Price seemed great, but when you lose close to $300 due to negligence on the shippers part, it sucks. Even if it was stolen, I blame Albee because I was told the shipping box showed a huge photo of the contents.

They started out great and have gone downhill. If you need customer service, its nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone. I will not be purchasing from Albee again. My first purchase of a Cybex stroller was excellent! Everything went smoothly. I got a great price and I absolutely love the item. My second purchase of a Maxi-Cosi car seat was delayed 2 weeks when I placed the order. It ended up taking about 6 weeks or more to get the item, but it was in perfect condition and I love it. My last purchase of a Summer Infant umbrella stroller has been terrible. A couple days after placing the order I received a UPS tracking number that still said that it had not been received by UPS. After a few days of the same message, I called Albee baby several times over the next couple days and could not get a hold of anyone. When directed to voicemail, I kept getting a full message. So, I sent an email. After not hearing back for 4 days, I called the store and finally got some help only to find out that my package was lost and the item was sold out. I understand that things can happen. When it takes almost a week to have someone help you with an issue youre having on an order, thats unacceptable. If their low prices attract your attention, beware.

Used Albee Baby online store to purchase a stroller I needed urgently. The negative reviews were concerning, but that was pretty much the only online shop carrying the stroller I wanted WITH the accessory pack, and also the price was pretty good too. I initially had a small issue ordering online (the accessory pack was not added for free to my cart with the purchase of the stroller), so I left a voice message in the evening. I got call back first thing in the morning, and the issue has been fixed by then. Ordered the stroller Tuesday night, received the tracking number next day, and the stroller by Friday noon. Beautiful stroller, with the accessory pack, all in great condition, so no complaints whatsoever.

This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever ever had. Myself and my husband went to see a stroller and car seat. I had to approach as sales assistant to ask him to show me me the diff configurations of the stroller. He removed the seat and walked away. I count 5 sales assistants just walking around doing very little. We asked to see a car seat also. He lifted it and put it at my feet and walked away.We had already decided on the stroller and car seat we wanted, $1600 for both, but I wouldn’t give that store 16c of my money. Beyond useless and rude.

I bought an Uppababy Cruz stroller which came with the leather trim too, that costs even more, for my grandchild from their online store. It cost me a flat $384. Everywhere else I found it for $490 with the tax and if I wanted the leather trim, I would have to pay $100 more. Thats more than $200 higher anywhere else I looked. Until it arrived I was holding my breath that there would be something wrong with it. It arrived in less than a week. It is gorgeous and perfect out of the box!!! I dont know how they do it, but what a gift to me to save all that money. I will recommend you guys to everyone I know

I purchased a stroller travel bag on their site for $170. Once it arrived I realized that I was not going to need it so I did not even open the box and instead took it to ups to return it. The return shipping, which this company makes YOU pay for, cost me $74 meaning that Im only making less than $100 back on an item that I didnt even open! Ridiculous! As Im sure other parents know sometimes we purchase things and dont need it or winding up not liking it or using it so we would like to be able to return things for free or at a very minimal cost. Fantastic service. I ordered the City Select, which with the discount was way cheaper than I could get from the big stores who exclude baby joggers from their promotions (and now made less sense to buy second hand at the price I got!) . Ordered a stroller from their online store. Saw it online for half of what buybuybaby and other retailers had it for. Product arrived within a week and is exactly what I ordered. Was a little skeptical because of the low price of the stroller but it arrived on time and was the exact stroller that I tested at buybuybaby. Very satisfied and will order from them again.

Do not buy their strollers! I bought one online, used it 2x and hated it for various reasons. When I tried to return it they would not take it back because it was “used” outside. I said to them, how else am I supposed to see if I like it? It didn’t matter. I couldn’t even speak with returns dept. on the phone which tells you something. I just lost a lot of money and won’t touch any of their products again. Never experienced such an awful return policy

Albee Baby is a great place to find all your needs when welcoming a baby. It’s packed with every little detail you could think of. Located right on Amsterdam and 95th, such a convenient location for anyone on the UWS. A diamond in the rough, as it’s one of a kind in the surrounding area.They carry just about everything to be a location I would recommend. However, from a service standpoint, improvement is needed. The manager at this location is Peter Roberge is a red flag in that store. He lacks professionalism and customer service. His demeanor when servicing the public is rather condescending, talking down to customers as if we were wasting his time. I personally felt his tone but also witnessed it several times as I continued to shop with them. Peter’s negative and rude attitude was definitely something I shouldnt have paid to experienced.One of my items for instance was delayed for about one month. Rather than receiving a call from him updating me on the status. I had to reach out Peter to follow up on the item. Rather than coming up with a solution oriented action plan or being apologetic for that matter, he blatantly and rudely suggested me to buy it from another store. Not only was this solution not what I wanted to hear from someone that manages the boutique, he proved once more that he clearly has no interest in building or retaining customer relationships.On the other hand, the rest of his team constantly gave me great service. Isidro, Carmen, Tanya and Katy are amazing! They are truly the reason why I continued shopping there. Perhaps Peter should have a touch base with his employees so they can help him improve or be reminded of what exceptional customer service in a brick and mortar store should feel like for a paying customer.If you plan on making a trip down to Albee Baby and you want a the ultimate shopping experience, followed by exceptional service. Save yourself a headache and talk to anyone other than Peter Roberge.

So.... this momma finds an INCREDIBLE deal on my dream stroller, a tandem stroller.... the Countours Options Elite tandem. I received an email that broke my heart... a little... my color choice was out of stock. 💔 In this email, they offered me a different color option. (Not one mention of a price difference) I was willing to take the new color option so I emailed, telling them that the alternate color would be fine. They emailed me for a second time and stated that there was a $100.00 difference and they expected me to pay $60.00 of that difference. Im completely broken hearted. 💔 Im awaiting a phone call to see if the new color will replace the old color, at the same price since THEY were the ones that offered!

Went there today to look at strollers and was helped by Michael, who was really knowledgeable and patient. Loved the fact that he was not pushy at all and told us to take our time to make our decision. Would definitely recommend!Edit 3/5/2019: on our first visit to the store we ordered a Nuna Pipa lite car seat, but decided several days later to change our order to a regular Nuna Pipa car seat, and Albee Baby was more than accommodating with our request. Have been nothing but happy with the customer service here.

We ordered a footmuff for our kid. We have not received it after a month.1. Very bad customer service: We called them at least 6 times during the previous couple weeks. None of them got connected to a representative successfully. Finally, I sent them email each day. After sending 5 emails, they finally started to reply my email.2. In the email (Yes, they never answer phone call), they kept saying they had shipped the package and let us check with each of our neighbors in the street (which contains at least 4 big buildings, 100 residents, under my conservative I guess).3. After my complaining that it is not our responsibility to contact each of our neighbors and it is not appropriate for us to do that as well, they let us contact the shipping company. However, the shipping order number they provide seems wrong!!!4. They kept pointing finger to us and never provided a reasonable solution. Finally, we have to resolve the dispute through our credit card company.Please dont waste your time buying anything from them, not worth the time at all. Amazon usually offers the same price with much better customer service.[some update 1/4/2016] Finally, our credit card company helped us get the money back. Worst customer server I have ever met![other update] Never trust the online reviews on their website. They delete bad reviews, only allow positive feedback to be posted, possibly also allow very few neutral ones to make it look more realistic.

Customer Service is kind of... they don’t have it at all! I’ve been trying to contact them for a week now, calling to their online store and Manhattan store, every day, several times, sending emails and leaving voice messages... they just don’t answer the phone, or the emails or return your calls... and when I managed to contact the “online” store, they were so rude, annoyed by my question, never helped me at all, and that was just for information, I don’t wanna think what would happen if I buy something with them and have a problem with the product... I decided to go to another store to buy my stroller. These days Customer Service is very important, specially for online stores... think it twice, they have good products and decent prices but that’s not all in this world.

Yes the products are cheaper, but we bought a car seat that was beyond damaged. However, when we began using it and realizing it was so defective no one assisted us. One person attempted too, but her customer service was awful. We bought a britax car seat that was beyond damaged. I will never order from them again. Back to amazon for awesome customer service.

Incompetent customer service. I started a registry in the store that I was planning on adding to and sharing with friends and family. Its been over two and a half months that Ive been trying to get access to my registry online, but AlbeeBaby hasnt been able to figure it out. Ive spoken to managers a few times, which didnt help. I havent received any response after the last time I called. I do not recommend registering here.

Read the return policy very carefully. Received my stroller Friday and learned that the button that locks the stroller does not work.Its stuck on open so the stroller Can collapse with my child inside it. I tried calling no answer, my husband got a human and she was quick to say they wont take it back bc its used even though we never took it outside. He called again hoping to get a different person and it was the same person.she didnt really want to hear what he had to say then finally said returns are handed via email. I wanted to exchange it for a not broken one so shows how much she really was listening. Emailed and they referenced back to the call saying they wont take it back because its used. After explaining The safety of the product and how disappointed I was they finally said theyd handle the exchange. I dont think this should have been such a hard thing to handle. I guess you have to be able to see through the opaque box to see if theres anything wrong with it. Btw they are really bad at answering their phones. I saved $25 on my stroller buying here but the hassle was not worth it.

I can NOT edit my 5 star review so here it the most recent recent as of 2/23/18 on Albee Baby. PLEASE USE CAUTION AND JUDGEMENT WHEN ORDERING FROM THIS SITE.So I canceled my order an hour after I placed it. It shows canceled in the computer. The guy at the store said funds would go back on card in 24 hrs. I wait business 3 days and it actually posted and went through to my card. Now Im going to have to go through the fighting process it seems like. It went through for the whole 249.99 even though the order online shows canceled and shows it for 25 less cause a lady at the 800 number when I spoke with her gave me a discount.If I knew I was going to have to go through this I would just order from the manufacturer directly even thought it was $80 cheaper but fighting for this is such a waste of a persons time but it is going to have to be done.UPDATE: IT TOOK ALBEE BABY ABOUT 5 BUSINESS DAYS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE...

Buyer beware. I purchased a Britax Boulevard car seat from Albee Baby. Upon receiving it, I noticed that there was some damage to the side. I notified Albee Baby and inquired how to return the item. I was told by customer service that I needed to call Britax to make a warranty claim instead of sending it back to them. As a courtesy, they did provide me the phone number to Britax. This is not the first purchase that Ive made at Albee Baby and never had a problem before. Their prices are competitive. Its unfortunate that I had to find out that they dont stand by their products on such an expensive item.
