Thank you to the team at Auto Care East. My car got a bad ding in our neighborhood garage and Auto Care East removed the dent and repainted the quarter panel with perfection. I know its NYC and service can be impersonal, yet Mary was kind and professional when I first called and when I arrived. She called me when my car was ready for pick up as promised. I was very surprised to find the car spotless inside and out, washed and looking like brand new, which was relief with Covid still an issue (interior was sanitized).Thank you so much. I would suggest taking your car to this garage. No, it wasnt close but it was worth the Uber trips to get these dents removed, repaired and repainted.

I feel this is a high-quality shop that Im glad I trusted my car with. My insurance company recommended them and they were right. They made the repairs in more than a timely manner and kept us in the loop. Very good customer service. I am very pleased with what they did.

Auto Care East defies the typical negative stereotypes of mechanics. They are polite, professional, communicative, straightforward and do what they say, on time and on budget. They were helpful in coordinating timing that was convenient for me for drop off and pick up multiple times. I recommend them highly.

Customer service is disgusting. The tall Caucasian Man in the office needs some classes on respect and communication. I would rather deal with my car being the way it is than to subject myself to his treatment.

After a fender bender we took our brand new Mazda CX-5 to Auto Care East and were not disappointed we did. The repair work was excellent and prompt. Communication was also decent, though not perfect. I had to call to follow up on the estimate, for example. That said, however, the work was done well and was reasonably priced. The car was also cleaned inside and out when we got it back - and it definitely didnt go in that way! We feel like we have our new car back! Thanks Auto Care East!!

I had high hopes for them to fix my vehicle which was damaged from a large tree branch that fell due to high winds. They were keeping me up to date with the progress via email the entire time (approximately a month). They called me yesterday, stating that they were finishing up my vehicle and going to give it a wash then I could pick it up. Since they close at 5pm & I got off of work after that, they informed me that they could leave it in the garage across the street & I had until midnight to pick it up. They definitely made sure to collect my deductible over the phone. I was asked if I wanted a text or email of the ticket for me to retrieve my car, I asked for both and didnt receive anything. I hadnt realized until after 5pm that I didnt even receive a receipt or anything. My father went to the 2 garages on the block and tried to inquire if there was another way to pick up my car and they said they needed the ticket. Now when I was expecting to have my car yesterday, I have to wait until Monday to pick it up. I left voice-mails and emails. They give their business hours over the phone and said theyd be open today. My father stopped by twice this morning and nobody was there. I called twice and left an additional voice-mail. So as I said, I had high hopes but it seems as if all autobody shops are the same - theyre just after the money & dont care about customer satisfaction. I am highly disappointed at the lack of communication at the end of this.

They got me in on a busy Sat. morning, and fixed my bumper for free!

Started out great but communication was not good. I left pretty confused and unheard. I also received conflicting information or none at all. Auto Care East is not for me.

I have been going to Auto Care East for ~7 years and have always been satisfied with their service, pricing, timely turnaround and their courtesy. I have an older Lexus and they do great work and they will alert me on upcoming service that should be done when the SUV hits certain mileage levels. I park near garage and they will pick-up and drop-off my vehicle to my garage. They couldnt be more professional.

Yesterday, I walked to my moms car and surprise- flat tire. I live on the UES and the thought of going to a mechanic here v the burbs was scary. I figured it would be expensive and a hassle. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The friendliest, most helpful mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. Warm and thoughtful too. I’m floored. And then the bill came- fair as can be. The same price as the tires at sears and labor was only $40 Plus this puppy lives there and she is the sweetest.Guys- this is the best find on the UES

Greatest auto body repair Ive ever experienced. Ive used them twice with insurance once without. They are the nicest, people, the work is totally professional and my car looks good as new. Prices are fair. Timing is good and they stay in touch and provide updates regularly. I love them and would not use any place else in Manhattan.

At first I was really satisfied with these guys they took me on an emergency basis and had an answer to me in under an hour.I live two hours East of Manhattan right before I got there I had gone over several bumps and all of a sudden my car started making a horrible clunking noise near the driver side wheel. I suggested it could be a wheel bearing or something and they told me they listened to my transmission, that it was shot, to try to get my car home and maybe get a new one (214,000 miles 7 years old). Well I almost junked my car bc I tried to drive it back to Long Island but around 40 miles an hour things were getting worse so I went to Brooklyn and towed my car 90 miles to my local transmission place only to find out that I HAD A LOOSE WHEEL BEARING!!! I doubt they even put my car on the lift at this point. Incompetence.

My check engine light came on driving into Manhattan, and I was lucky enough to be close to Auto Care East. They got me right in and checked out my car and were able to get me back on the road quickly and reasonably priced. Very helpful and courteous.

Theses guys are the real mccoys. They have earned the title of vehicle restoration extraordinaires from my wife and I. Youll swear your ride never had any damage when you receive your baby back (as it should be expected) and leave this shop. I promise you. My 2015 Honda EXL Pilot had care here twice unfortunately. They are truly restoration doctors.

Extremely disappointing. I live in the neighborhood but always work until after they close, so I called to get a quote on a simple battery replacement and was told that they never give prices over the phone. I understand that this policy makes sense for things like body work and extensive repairs that require a look at the vehicle, but seems completely arbitrary for basic maintenance. The person I spoke to via the phone was blunt and unhelpful.

I had a great experience here. The staff is friendly. Their pricing and business practices are reasonable and fair. The mechanics are knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed my issue, ordered a part and had my car fixed within a few days and kept me informed throughout the process.

I was in and out quickly for my oil change. The location is very convenient to the upper east side for body work and other issues with my car. Not many of those places left as developers scoop up buildings all over the upper east side.

I came to auto Care East after I was told by the mechanic at the Mobil on E 106th that I need new hub bearings to pass inspection for $900.Auto Care East then inspected my car and checked the hub bearings. I was told they were perfect and I passed inspection. Thank goodness I brought my car to Auto Care East. They were very honest and saved me $900. I would highly recommend them.

This review is for anyone considering bringing your car here for body work through insurance. I wouldn’t suggest it, they charged a crazy amount of money and insurance didn’t even cover it all, the repair cost almost covered the value of the car when it wasn’t that serious of a damage. Another problem was, you can only get an estimate if you agree to do your repair at this location, when I had Geico I was able to get a quote from a body shop and retrieve a check and choose where I’d like to have my work done.Lastly, The main problem I had with this shop was the unsure date of when my car would be ready, I had to call to keep tabs on wether my car would be ready for the date they told me to come in, of course it wasn’t. I showed up to pick my car up about two times in a month span it took for them to repair it.Car came out fine but I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service and astronomical prices.

Auto Care East has done post accident work on my vehicle twice in the last four years. In both cases the work was outstanding. All parts were manufacturer and the finish left me feeling like nothing had ever happened. They were professional and courteous, providing me with timely updates and photos of their progress.

The staff were friendly . They answered all my questions and contacted me often to let me know about the repair work they were doing and how long it would take. My car repairs were finished earlier than the estimated date.

Very disappointed with there service.. I was told my car would be ready on July 22nd, then it was moved to the 26th, the the 30th, now it’s moved to August 1 .. they’ll say anything to get you to leave your car .. then they do as they like because they have your vehicle.. think twice before you leave your car with them.. if I could’ve given zero stars I would.. update, it’s Friday and on the day I’m supposed to pick up my car, again I’m told it’s not done.. sometime next week.. there’s a gentleman by the name of Anthony!!!! I had no problem scheduling an appointment for my car to be inspected and serviced.. The garage was ready for the car when I delivered it and the car was ready for pickup when I was told that it would be. The bill was exactly what the estimate indicated that it would be. Most important, my wife and I were treated courteously by everyone at the garage with whom we interacted.

I have been bringing my cars to Auto Care East for 20 years and have always been pleased with their service. When Ive had a mechanical problem, they gave me an estimate and a timeframe and have met both. Their work is guaranteed. I have not had to bring the car back for anything having to do with their repairs.When someone keyed the length of my car, I brought it for a touch up. The paint was a perfect match to the manufacturers color.I am continuing to use Auto Care East and would highly recommend them to anyone needing car work.

Everything worked perfectly. They liaised directly with the insurance company, got additional authorizations for needed work, kept me posted, I could follow the progress online (looking at actual pictures of work being done of my car), and they finished on time. I can not think of anything that they could have done better.

2nd Review (12/02/2014)=====================I believe businesses should have 2nd chances to prove themselves. But disappointed again. Went there for headlight bulb replacement. I was lazy and forgot my previous experience and settled for convenience. The bulb was replaced or not the headlight didnt work next morning 6AM. Called in, I was casually told to bring it back, maybe the socket has an issue. I am almost certain that if I had checked the headlights as soon as I took the car off the lot, I would have seen that the headlight is not working. The importance of customers time and excellence of service is missed in this shop. It is probably because they are too busy. Either way, if you go there, double check the service you got, and price you paid. I did get the car checked else where and it was the socket. Both the bulb and the socket were replaced to my satisfaction. Individual experiences may vary, but I had bad service twice.=====================First Review (5 Month Ago)Although it is conveniently located and people are decent, but the professionalism and real customer care is completely lacking. I also feel that I got stuck, otherwise I would have gone some other place.The reason for my dissatisfaction is because I almost never got a straight answer. The car wasnt even touched for first two weeks, in which I was paying part of rental fee. I had to constantly call and get any update, which was usually another call me on Monday, or Friday, or I am and such. I can understand a busy business, but I expect some straight answers with regards to time and services.Also paid for the inspection upfront, after the rest of the service. The inspection is still due. Went there, the answer again Call me on such and such day and I will let you know if the inspection guy is in. I would have expected Why dont you come in at this time on this day, since you already paid for the service.The convenience and price, needs to be carefully assessed for your particular case with respect to this service provider.Low rating to wake them up from their current practice.

Christmas, a couple of years back. My wife, newborn, and I were in New York visiting family. I cant remember what the issue was with our truck, but it was bad enough that I didnt feel like we could make the six hour trip back home to Virginia Beach. Forget about the fact that it was Christmas and that the Upper East Side isnt exactly teaming with repair shops. These guys were the only ones of almost a dozen spots in the yellow pages that even had a number that rang, let alone catch a voice at the other end. They fit me in on short notice, got me squared away, and even made me an offer on my truck if I were ever interested in selling. Standup guys. Standup shop.

Just out to make $$ off you. Called to have a part replaced, a simple installation of a radiator. Bought the brand new one at AutoZone and called for an appointment. They said they wouldnt do any type of repair unless THEY purchased the part. When asked for the cost of my radiator I was quoted a price of $210+ tax. I payed $101.99 from AutoZone. Theres a difference between trying to make a profit on a something and flat out screwing over the customer. Thanks for the help, Ill be sure to recommend you...

They noticed a muffler I had replaced at another repair shop was just our old one painted silver! Thanks to Auto Care East we were able to get our money back and they fixed the real problem, which wasnt the muffler at all.

Subpar customer service. Brought my car in for insurance related repair and wanted to do some minor extra body work. Waited to get a price from one of the appraisers on the non-covered portion of repairs for a week, gave up and went somewhere else. Multiple phone calls were made to reach the guy and was given all kinds of excuses. I guess they arent interested in your business and as I result I am not interested in theirs. Fail.

The price is right. The mechanic is a wonder and super nice.

This is a criticism in Spanish for Hispanic customers if you take your car here to fix it, get ready because it is very costly and the worst thing is there is nothing professional job my car had 22 days to fix a simple job and surprise the day the guy to look for the door knob is not ready I had to pay $ 1290 of deductible I think they agree and Emili insurance maybe they gave a commission the total cost of the work was about $ 4000 x something simple and the most disastrous was back to Philadelphia the police stopped me and I lowered the glass of the door that they fixed and sewed 22 days it did not rise again and the Piera on the same side the lock does not work so I do not recommend it even if they do For free I thought they were making another car if they want to pass the same problems go to car care east and check my complaint att Oswaldo García
