Southeast is a medium-sized grocery space located in the underground Market Line food hall, below Essex Market. apparently, this is a temporary space for Southeast and it is moving to larger area in the Market Line. currently, the Market Line is only open from Wednesday to Sunday.the space is filled with Asian grocery items and snacks from furikake from Japan to Korean marinades to refrigerated dumplings to Vietnamese coffee and so much more. there’s a lot of different packaged ingredients for your kitchen needs— all from different regions of Asia. however there’s a ton of snacks from candies and chips to Pocky. prices are competitive with Asian grocers in NYC. i got some furikake and crispy garlic in chili oil.if you’re looking for something, ask the staff. It’s a one-man show. i’d definitely peruse the tables bc there’s a lot of items packed into this space.
Good selection!
Great selection of candies, sauces, drinks, frozen foods and more. Well curated, good prices.
