They are my clock doctors. Have nbr of clocks and theyre the first I call if a clock needs work.

These folks are the best in the business. They have repaired two clocks for me that I inherited, and sold me another. And the one I purchased has never needed a repair. I will only go to them.

I brought my great-great-grandmothers grandfather clock there to repair some wood damage, clean the gears and calibrate the speed. The place is super cute and I really wanted to like it.They took forever to get the clock done, way longer than promised. They did a shoddy and incomplete job on the woodwork. They returned it to me going 3 minutes/day fast. Its impossible to get it more accurate. Well, a quick google and location of the adjustment screw and now its about 17 seconds/day. And then they charged me $300. What did i get for those $300?I doubt they even cleaned the gears. They looked great, we didnt have to do anything. Sounds more like eh, its fine to me. This clock has not been touched in half a century, theres gotta be dust and grime inside.

I brought in a Swiss chiming mechanical clock for repair. It was purchased by my dad about 50 years ago and even though hes gone the regular chiming served as a signature element in my moms home as well as a constant reminder of him. The clock suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago to my mothers dismay. I brought it into Sutton not knowing what to expect but thinking it was going to cost a small fortune to repair and clean. It took them a week to check out the clock but to my surprise I received a call today telling me the clock is now working fine, a full cleaning is not required now (maybe in the future), and I can pick it up -at no cost! Which I just did. The clock was just mistreated by my moms new aid and needed some gentle adjustments. Great news and I intend to recommend Sutton to anyone who needs their services. Happy customer.

These guys are the greatest! They are true experts who really know what they are doing, and really nice too. Sebastian even e-mailed me from his vacation last summer with advice about how to manage our clocks safely while our apartment was painted. I feel so lucky to have them nearby.

A few years ago I needed my grandfather clock repaired and I called Suttons. House visit was $150 plus repairs which was fine with me. Yesterday I called because my clock is not working. I was told by the man that answered the phone after 3 PM (Ive been calling all day after 11 PM) that house visit alone would be 1,250 dollars. I couldnt believe what I has hearing. I asked three times and was given the same answer. I told him for this I could purchase another clock. I am so disappointed and will never do business at this place again.

I was extremely impressed by the thoughtful analysis and care you gave my clock, but mostly by the honest assessment that it needed no repair, just a slight adjustment which you did free of charge. It is now hanging on my wall, keeping perfect time. Thank you so much!

I accidentally left a one star review of this amazing place while searchingly google one day last week! I haven’t even been here, I was simply looking for a place in Manhattan to take my young daughter to look at cuckoo clocks! I’ll try to stop by and apologize in person!

So glad this place exists. Ive come here over the years for different issues, usually regarding a vintage clock and always had good results. Our restaurant has several items that are working great because of their careful efforts.

The Sutton Clock Shop did an amazing job restoring the glass on my vintage wall clock. They maintained the integrity of the design. Moreover they were very nice and transparent about the process.

This was a terrific experience. I presented them with a family heirloom mantle clock that stopped chiming. The total estimate was more than the clock was worth. These guys did me a solid - returned it in working order less chiming, but now keeps time, at least.

The work was done, when they said it would be done. And when the need for another repair arose, they volunteered that the clock was still under warranty, and quickly + without question fixed the problem. Vendors whose word is good, like the folks at Sutton, deserve respect (not to mention our business!). I will use them again.

I have used them many times in the past 5 years. (I have collected clocks and watches all my life.) On a French carriage clock, they did a great restoration, but I stopped short of their making a piece necessary to make it chime. It is a valuable clock, and we talked about the investment more than returning itself in increase in value. Im holding off, but will do that one day. Most recently a Crystal Regulator (mercury pendulum) that I bought in England over 40 years ago was damaged in a move. Now it runs better than ever. Expensive, but worth every penny on beautiful old clocks. I think I wigg ask them to look at my Waltham car clock that broke the mainspring 15 years ago. They really know their stuff.

It was a pleasure doing business here. The owners are very knowledgeable and do great service. If you cant decide on where to have a clock fixed, this is the go to place!!

Friendly people. Very professional in dealing with customers and communicating complicated problems. For the most part clocks arent working because the owner doesnt understand them. Observed a few cases when the Sutton crew managed to explain things clearly.
