Great selection, reasonable prices (a lot of things for
Very nice prints but the owner made me feel very unwelcome. The problem is that I want to return but I am sure I will be judged.
Some cool stuff here, but the condescending owner ensured that I will never return. If you can stomach her unpleasantness, you might find something you like, so her shop gets three stars. Averaged with her one-star attitude, that makes this a solid two.
I had a great time looking through all the prints at Pageant Print Shop. I dont even remember how I first discovered this store, but Im glad I did! Before coming here, I didnt really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how big of a variety of prints they have and how organized it was. Im a fan of animals, especially marine life and birds, and boy did they have plenty of both. I ended up buying two prints on my first, and as of writing this review, only visit here so far. One of the prints had various birds on the print in black and white, including multiple species of ducks (which are some of my favorite birds) and the other print was in color and featured multiple marine mammals, including a whale and dolphin. The man who worked here was very nice and I appreciated the fact that the store was heavily air conditioned considering that I was there in mid summer. The store has a fantastic collection of map prints both from all over the world and for New York City and the even though I like maps I didnt end up getting any map prints, but I recommend that if youre looking for old maps, this is thee place to go.
I was amazed and so happy to find the print I had been looking for everywhere, including Europe. Without the help and devoted persistence of the owner I would never have found it. We chatted, laughed and she showed me a VERY impressive array of original prints in the same line I had been looking for. This place is amazing and should not be missed if you are looking for an antique map or print. It is the real deal.
Quaint little shop with a wide variety of classic prints of all sorts of subjects from all kinds of sources and artists. Wonderful little NY tour stop or a specific stop for a special gift.
With 15 years of experience in the print and publication world, I was excited to take a visit to Pageant. Unfortunately the experience was very unpleasant one due to the unprofessional and rude store owner. She grimaced when I asked questions about the shops history as well as its collection. As I only had ten minutes in between meetings, I took a photo of one of the prints to send to my client for approval and as I was exiting, the owner interrupted her personal phone call (where she was swearing loudly in front of myself and other customers and belittling someone telling them they were having a mental breakdown) and shouted at me ENJOY THE PHOTOS, YOU DIDNT GIVE ME ONE DOLLAR. GOODBYE! HAVE A NICE LIFE! I was shocked. I told her I needed a clients approval purchase and was in a rush and had plans to come back with the client. There was also no sign that said no photos. I had plans to tell my coworkers and friends who work in the art and publication industry they must visit the shop but after my experience I will never recommend it. If anyone mentions it, I will gladly share my experience with them and convince them to go elsewhere. Pageant Print Shop has lost what would have been great business and exposure.
I was browsing the shop at the Union Square Holiday market and while taking a photo of a print to show my mother, and with no prior conversation, the owner rudely SCREECHED at me make sure you tag me!! It was startling; I didnt even know who she was speaking to at first. She then gave me an attitude when I asked if a print came in a smaller size, as sometimes artists make smaller, similar renditions and in the most condescending, arrogant tone possible told me that they were all originals and proceeded to complain to me about another stupid customer who had asked something similar. I then asked her if the market items and store items were all available on her website, and she angrily stared at me for about 30 seconds before telling me she didnt have time for that. There were some beautiful prints I was on the verge of buying but she was so abrasive, angry, condescending and aggressive that I decided to find another vintage print shop, as I didnt want to give her my business.
🇱🇷 Happy 🎃 Holidays 🎃 19. 🇱🇷Pageant Prints on E. 4th Street between the Bowery and 2nd Avenue have a huge selection of print dating back several eras. The shop is small, but packs a lot.I browsed here often looking for gifts and whatnots, and i am usually pointed in the direction of what i am looking for. Then whomever is on staff usually let me browse as long as my hearts content, but of course i am careful and neat with the merchandise so not to damage them in any manner.
Great cosy shop with a wide selection of prints! The guy working here gave me all the time I needed to browse and enjoy the selection, absolutely no pressure, and was friendly when I went to check out.
Have some very cool high quality products. Not inexpensive though.
The shop definitely has tremendous stock and collection, however the store owner is extremely rude and arrogant. Does not recommend to visit as the experience was extremely unpleasant.
Great Selection & Very Symphatic Shop👌!!!
A place where you can find prints of all types! You need to spend sone time to go through each category but eventually youll find something that fits your style!
My experience was very unpleasant one due to the unprofessional and rude store owner, the store has so many fakes, will never visit again
Great collection
Awesome shop
If you have an attic with old newspapers, cut out the pages, put them in plastic and open your own shop !! Im exaggerating a bit ... a multitude of choices nonetheless, all thematic, too bad the plans of New York large format easily exceeded $ 250-300 or more (of good quality)!Purchase of Coca Cola advertisements dating from 1938 and 1946, back cover of National Geographic magazine ($ 4 each, size A5 approximately), as well as a larger cardboard box ready to be framed at $ 22.50).Very welcoming and accommodating lady, her CB terminal not working, gave me a gift of € 2.50, myself not having the extra. In the end, 3.5 rather than 3 or 4 !!
