Things was priced over what they go for new.Want a better deal, try out your local lowes or home depot.New products thats guaranteed at a lower price.Plus lowes and home depot puts more jobs in your community and donates a lot more to your local community than Habitat has ever. This place appears to just be a front for something else that may be going on behind the scenes. The only reason i gave it a 1 is because they dont have a -5.After leaving this honest review i just got threaten by management .Contacting pasco county sheriff department now.Ive left many reviews all honest and normally had a pretty good review.Never been threaten before by any company.Just goes to show how they operate.Anyone else having problems Habitat international wants you to call and report them at 1 800 habitat.
The place was kept up nice enough and the employees were cool. But the prices were so high I just couldnt find any deals. Many times the items were priced more than they would buying them new at the hardware store. Really disappointing because its the closest location to me and was really excited to go, but that excitement went right away after 10 minutes here. I really tried to look and find something priced fairly but I couldnt. Im in home depot all the time and know most market values and they need to do the same.
Very disappointed. Havent been there in a while. There is a lot less thereTheir prices have gotten very high. Now like Goodwill or Salvation Army. I stopped shopping and donating to those places. They no longer are affordable to those who really needed it. Some items I have seen are the same as they would be new in other stores. I would rather donate to Metropolitan Ministers. They help people get on their feet and help them dress for job applications. You will not find me in Habitat stores any more. You have ruined a good thing.
I went here for a water heater, they had 3 still in boxes, priced at $375.00. I asked if the price was negotiable and was told no. Now keep in mind everything they get, is donated. They get it for free. The woman told me the water heaters were already price 30% less than the stores. Total BS. I can go buy the same one at Lowes for $315.00 and have a 6 year warranty. The restore is supposed to be a discount place makingmaterials affordable for low income customers. What a crock of sh##
Maybe it depends on your expectations and being realistic but we had no issues. Bought a sectional sofa for a great price that looked brand new and had all the Havertys tags on . When I say great price it was phenomenal so not sure why other reviews are negative as your not going to pay pennies. We found the employees to be extremely helpful . Delivery was done the next day with out any problems
1st time at this store, I just move here from Mass and frequently shopped and donated to the re stores in my area. Yesterday visit was in Pasco was as enjoyable as always saw some items I need so I will measure and return to get what ever they have that I will need. People were helpful as always, looking forward to returning to there store.
Theyve reorganized and have two buildings/ covered areas outside now. Inside is mostly furniture. Always a great find in there for somebody. Dont miss the local honey up at the cash register
Well organized. Very helpful staff.
All for a good cause. And you will probably find really good bargains.
FanTASTIC place! I bought a NICE matching couch and loveseat for a price so low it almost felt criminal! Ill definitely be back! AWESOME staff too!
This has been turned into a window store.the resale shop is gone.
They prices are on the sky. Id rather to add couple dollars to retail store and I have warranty or Ill be able to return if I decide not to use it.
Great!!! I got 3 Windows i desperately needed. To replace my 1910 wimdows. And Im disabled with a very low income. The employees are very caring and helpfull!!!! I thank them so bery much!!!!
I believe they are very expensive especially since stuff is donated
Great bargains, even greater staff
Friendly staff and affordable delivery
Nice to find things i didnt know i was looking for. Staff is nice and helpful. Everything is organized very well and maintained cleanliness. Well lit areas. And huge selection. Most things are used but good place to find a gem now and then. It is worth a look inside and around the backyard. Ive found some useful details hiding around.
Sorry to say, I use to be able to find useful hard to get used items....but not its no better than a private owned thrift shop. The new concept fits another mindless wonder executives plan, but does nothing for working or retired citizens living in the area.
Everything is way over priced. The same light fixture new at home depot with all its parts is $7 cheaper then the same exact one without all its parts there. Mosaic tile $6 sheet?!? I can get the same tile at home depot for $2 a sheet. Whoever is pricing the stuff needs to start comparing prices. I drove over an hour to go find a deal only to learn the best deal is at the big retail stores with new products being cheaper then the used they have. I wont be coming back. Lesson learned.
There was a lady that used to work here that made this place what it once was - ever since she left the man that runs the place has run it into the ground. People walk in with money WANTING to find something to buy. The prices are outrageous now - the inventory is slim. Would not be surprised if this is closed very shortly. If I could give it less than one star I would. He is mean to customers, I walked around for 30 minutes really WANTING to find something, anything, that was reasonably priced... I picked up a vase that was broken and the price tag said $50 and I literally laughed out loud. I saw him looking up values online before giving customers prices for other things. Isnt this stuff donated? And he should look at the SOLD price if hes going to do that not what some idiot on eBay thinks its worth. While I was there I heard him mock at least 4 customers, for not wanting to pay his outlandish inflated prices either. My advice would be to skip this place altogether. If you want good quality, clean, reasonably priced second hand items take the drive to Goodwill instead.
Very courteous and helpful staff. Knowledgeable of their inventory.Prices are on the high end and suggest to compare new online while shopping there. Not one of the better Habitats as far as selection and not very flexible on their pricing. Parking is free and easy in and out access. A must for lunch or snack is their hot dog vendor who serves up some scrumptious homemade toppings you just gotta taste! Serves Nathans brand hot dogs.
First time into the restore and found exactly what I was shopping for 😊
It was nicer in their than it has been in years by the prices were outrageously high...
In dire need of appropriate pricing on factory seconds, preowned, used and damaged goods. Its understood that its donated, scuffed, scraped and used however prices are set too high. Make a profit but help the community without costing its citizens.
Great place to shop for all kinds of household items, furniture, appliances and much more.Friendly staff and theyre all happy to help you find what youre looking for at a great price. Its also nice to know that when you shop there youre helping in some small way to get someone into a new home that is very deserving.
I have been on this planet for quite some time, and I have NEVER experienced the type of caring and customer service that I did today at the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity. I bought a very nice piece of furniture - perfect for me but could NOT get it into my car. Erik, Assistant Store Manager tried everything he could to make my situation easier. He then spoke to Malia Zeglarski, Restore Manager who offered to deliver the piece to my home herself - for FREE - after she got off from work, which would be 4:30. This store was so busy, and yet she is offering after a long day at work to come to my house, a person she has never met before, and deliver this piece of furniture all because it would not fit in my car. I am still in shock. I am quite the talker, but I was at a loss for words by her generosity. I ended up paying for delivery, which was discounted for me, and it will arrive today within the next couple hours.I will now be shopping at this store on a regular basis, and I will spread the word about my experience to anyone I know or meet! Their act of kindness will stay with me forever. To upper management - you did a great job in hiring these two individuals. I am in awe of their generous/kind hearts! Thanks you, again, Erik and Malia!!!!
I love this store! I just moved here from Ohio and needed some things... Found great stuff there. After looking on line and reading this stores reviews, I was hesitant to shop there. I went anyway, so glad I did. They really made me feel welcome and the shop is clean, well organized and has great prices. Cant wait to go back and check out their organic garden area.
This location has friendly staff and awesome deals.
Great place for household things. Some prices good, some high but you can negotiate. Beware if buying electrical items. My experience is I have never been able to use any lights or fixtures purchased. Always something missing. No returns
Lots of building materials and items to remodel your home. You do have to watch what you mind because sales are final. Also the process sometimes are more than what you would think you would want to pay at a resale shop. But the good thing about it every dollar raised does go to help Habitat for Humanity
Management treats you poorly. Overprices items. Dirty and disorganized. No price tags.I went to see prices of sofas or love seats and found a pair of reclining love seats. Both in bad shape but one worst than the other because the leather where you leg rest was slashed or broken and someone did a noticeable tape it up quick fix. When asked what was the price since they didnt have tags like everything else. Manager said and guessed a price of $200 EACH. my wife and I were so disappointed. We told the manager, why would you price them that high of this is a store to help not only with proceeds but helping community that cant afford new things. He(manager) brushed us off and said its the price and if it doesnt sell, well change it. And the. He didnt want to talk to us. When I asked him about sofa, he walked away and just brushed us off. I wish we can put zero or no star but it requires a star.Save your time and money and just go elsewhere. With the prices they have, you might as well get it brand new.
I really dont know what happened there a lot of overpriced furniture really outdated some other miscellaneous things ok...and I really didnt appreciate the female staff members they had poor attitudes. I wanted to buy a used kitchen faucet attached to a sink and there several men and myself or even my husband that could easily take it off and the woman would not sell it too me without buying the whole sink and mind you there were many other bathroom faucets separate from sinks and only the one I wanted was for the kitchen she wouldnt sell me.. the other few faucets for the kitchen were broke. So of course like anyone I wanted one not broke. But no she-probably the manager wouldnt sell it to me. I thought everything was to be sold for a good cause but apparently not now.
I miss going almost every week when i renovated my apt. Today was great cuz i see they are so much more organized. And ill be back for a fridge!
Nice store. Nice Folks that work there. They are a bit price happy though. It seems as if they are attempting to do as Goodwill with items that maybe collectable. This idea in the long run will hurt Goodwill in the community and I hope that Habitat will strongly revisite reasonable, non gouge pricing
One of the better habitat stores. Yes the back is dusty, but its tools, and home improvement items. But you cant beat the prices for small projects.
My husband loves going into this store for some great buys, friendly helpful employees! They gave given him some good buys over the past few years and do the best to make him happy! Then they load some heavy purchases, so he arrives home a happy guy!!
Fantastic store. Great deals. Staff is awesome and love helping the cause!
Theyve grown a great deal over the years but so have their prices. I used to be able to find a table or dresser for under a $100. Now it seems nearly everything is over $200 for items that are barely over yard sale condition. Its just too much to ask for worn out, used furniture that was donated. The back room, however, is still a renovators dream of fixtures and the prices are where you need them.
Really updated the place since I last visited...love treasure hunting here because I can find everything from unique furniture to wiring at great prices! Erik was very helpful and accommodating today with my purchase of a China cabinet. Fun place to explore!
I have been there many times and seen many cool items behind the rope such as some very nice computers, computer parts and musical equipment, the guy goes either its not for sale or let me look it up on eBay. Not only the prices are very high, most items there are not priced. Not to mention when you ask the manager how much an item is he has to go and look up the prices online. I really dislike this place and prices. Its a thrift store not amazon.
I have had multiple negative experiences here in the last year and a half. Today was just another example. All the furniture, tubs, refrigerators, cabinets etc. were half off on clearance. Of course even though all the similar appliances were 1/2 priced the one I picked out was apparently not. After negotiation to get a price in the ball park, the manager made a big deal about it being priced wrong. I also looked at a piece of furniture and of course guess what that piece was also not 1/2 off. Seems odd to me.The manager once told me that he puts the prices so high (I commented that he had used stuff chairs priced at the same price as the store new) so that he could negotiate and come down in price. How ever it was like pulling teeth to get 2.50 off of the 2 items I have ever asked them to come down on.Another instance we brought a mug up to the register. It was marked 50 cents or 25 cents I cant remember which. The lady said it doesnt matter what the tag said, we had to pay 2 bucks if we wanted it. That is ridiculous. If it is tagged it should be the price.Their prices at this store are very high on most items. This are used items and not even cleaned up upon receipt. Also very poor about getting things priced, most times you have to ask for a price. Sometimes they refuse to give a price on items in the store, I am not sure if they just dont want to be bothered or dont want to sell anything, or if they just pick and choose whom they want to be helpful to. I wanted to think they were just having a bad day, but if that is the case they have them pretty often.I always utilized the Habitat stores in the other state where I lived. I like what the company stands for. Either the company is heading in the wrong direction, or this particular store needs to be examined. It makes me sad that I have to go to other stores and put money in personal pockets (businessmen) instead of in the coffers of such a good organization. But a business needs to be fair to keep my business.
I use to love this store about 5 years ago. Since they switched management. Looks like a show of hoarders buried alive! Filthy, disorganized and extremely over priced! Whoever the lady is at the register calls the shots and prices items, cause 90% of items have no price. She prices items as if they were new! And extremely rude, doesnt smile! Last time I will ever go there! I understand the money goes to a good cause, but they need to actually sells things!Next time Ill make the drive to check out one of their other stores!
High quality used home goods for dirt cheap!! Like new furniture under $50!!! Very friendly and helpful staff! They sell major appliances like stoves, washer/dryer, refrigerators and generators.
Its been around for a while. They have everything from sinks to cabinets to dishes and windows. The lack of rating is price. They have so much stuff and they are just below the actual price of new. If i wanted to pay that i would go to home depot so i could at least return it.
Bought a tv that was advertised as a smart TV and when I got it home i found out it was not only defective, but was also NOT a smart TV. They tried to reject the return until I mentioned false advertising. They also yell at and fire volunteers for working slow even if it is due to a disability that causes pain even if the volunteer is doing all they can to help out and even spending extra attention to detail making sure all of the products and the parking lot is as clean as possible.
I always find something that I really like here. Great selection, and the staff is really nice.
I got a very nice condition dresser, chest and mirror for what I considered to be a reasonable price. People were friendly and willing to work with me on the pick-up date. I was very impressed, and will be back!
I love this place because I know how hard the staff works for the amount of stuff theyre inundated with! Theyre always helpful & can locate whatever I need when I ask!I really like the way theyve remodeled so far with all the holidays & influx of people over the past couple months. It has cleaned up significantly & I know they get lots of junk dumped off that they also have to haul off for additional cost. These guys deserve major accolades for their constant effort for going above & beyond even when they dont need to.For anyone going here, be patient with them because theyre really swamped & they will help you as best they can.Remember, these guys have better prices than thrift stores because theyre trying to turn over donations & support the Habitat for Humanity Organization that helps families who need homes!
Good place for poor people to get furniture and other things at a good price. Well not anymore prices has gone up through the roof. Some of the items in this particular store are at retail price. They have forgotten this place is a people who cant afford much. People who are less fortunate.
If youre looking for and good household repair items this is the place to go great prices well organized store
Very large selection of everything. A cross between a lumber yard and high end thrift store. Good prices.
Always a great place to check out..mostly furniture, some kitchen and glassware..Back area with electrical, plumbing and cabinets...Just knowing that purchases go to help build homes for others is a great feeling..
Very organized, friendly staff, great selection.
Place was a mess the First time my partner and I went back in Febuary 2016. In just a few months the hard working team have cleaned this place up and you will always find a great deal! Employees are always nice and are always willing to help Volunteers. 👍🏻
Many prices are almost the same as Home Depo and Lowes....it is supposed to sell at lower prices to help the community refurbish their homes !!!!
A good thrift store - they seem to have a lot of home improvement items such as lighting, hardware and tile. The staff was generally helpful as well.
NIce staff. I used to go in 2 or 3 times a week but no longer. WHATS UP WITH THE PRICES LATELY? some items like the toilets and sinks are priced fairly but others...not so much! They are selling used and donated items for at or above RETAIL prices. Don,t get me wrong..I would rather give my money to Habitat but it has to MAKE SENSE!!!! I cant and wont pay more or equal retail prices for used items...Case and point:used dirty beat up lattice $15-NEW from Lowes $15.99150amp Siemens panel $120-NEW Home Depot $107.87open and used Omnigrip tile adhesive $35-NEW $31.85This is just a small example of many overpriced items!!COME ON GUYS!! Its USED and/or DONATED!
This place was great, went there for a door and they had a great selection and the the employees were helpful and very friendly, highly recommend thos place.
Had a very great experience with this company on yesterday because I couldnt find my dogs shot records so I thank you all very much for caring and helping me out with that
Experienced the same over pricing. 25 bucks for some old mini blinds that sell at Walmart new for 8.83 oh and the hardware was extra. Never again. New management needed asap or close it down. Then need to move the donated merchandise fast so they have room for more... Stay away from this store and yes we visit thrift and restores all over the state. Bad business.
It was great I found window treatments very reasonably priced and most importantly my correct size
It was horrible they want way too much money for everything I thought I was shopping at the mall it was so expensive I would have gave zero stars but that was not an option I will not be going back to that one the one in zephyr hills is one hundred percent better
I go into this store often, and wow- what a difference new management has made!! The store looks so much cleaner and more organized. Staff even seem happier and more friendly.
Recently had the pleasure of coming here to help friends with very strict budgets find furnishings and necessities for their homes. Was AMAZED to find quality, high-end pieces at very reasonable, to downright cheap prices. Moreso, the staff are wonderful, hard-working people and inspired me not only to volunteer for Habitat, but also to donate as I renovate or re-decorate my homes. In particular were Malia who is as beautiful inside as she is outside; and the people who helped load all my purchases. Not only were they careful but they were able to securely fit everything in one trip. I loved the experience so much, I came back again with a friend and was even more grateful for Erik and Gyl who were able to deliver a large furniture piece I couldnt fit into my vehicle. Also impressive was the garden in the back which was another inspiration and pleasure to see.
The guy that you have to deal with needs a personality make over. Not a happy man.
If I could give less than one star in would. Matt the manager is an as# I use to buy stuff there all the time.now its so overpriced and disorganized and the manager thinks everything is made of gold went to buy a gas stove there was a nice one there is figured 500 at the most so I asked what the price is and it was 2000 dollars holy crap
👍
Great for the community. Ive donated & bought many items. Visit regularly to find hidden gems for the home.
These folks have every connection for building material
I think it has changed? My experience was met with pleasant and helpful staff. Great selection for a particular repair and match!
Matt the manager and Tom are great! Very willing to help. So glad they accepted my donation even though I shouldve called to see if they could take them.
Ive been going here for years and have always received great service. They have absolutely everything, from nuts and bolts to doors, windows and appliances. My favorite go to store for 2nd hand everything!
The people are not friendly at all and the girl that is the cashier was rude. I dont like this location at all is not like we getting things for free by the way we were treated. Wouldnt recommend this place or change the people that work there.
Was in the Elfers HH today (1/8 2:30pm). When my 4 year old son spontaneously jumped on a mattress for sale. A female employee started yelling at him to get off, frantically throwing her hands in the air. It definitely scared him. I tried apologizing but she made it very difficult with her sarcastic comments and angry gestures/looks. I wish he hadnt jumped on the bed and got a foot print on it but he is only 4 and cant read the sign posted. We decided to leave because I felt like her comments and attitude was aimed at humiliating me. I dont understand why you would work for a company thats mission statement is to spread Gods love if you have no compassion or understanding for the humans in your facility that you come face to face with.
Good prices nice staff clean bathrooms good selection great location found everything I was looking for the building in very good shape helpful staff I go quite often everything changes almost everyday things come in things go out so wait a day and you can find what your looking for
Been going there for years hoping to find treasure. I almost never buy anything. There are no prices, no price signs on shelves or boxes of stuff and if you should be patient enough to wait for help, you will only be disappointed with the price they give you. I dont know how they can sell anything. And usually they have an area of items, often out in the backyard, that is closed off because the manager, Matt, hasnt yet decided what hes going to do with it!
I always find wonderful things here.
Love this place, go there every week they have new household items daily, cheaper than other places!
Its Under New Management, the place looks clean, everything has a price on it. When i walked it i felt welcome. If u had a bad experience before, come back and give it another go at it. Im telling you its better then the last time you came in.
Great people and they have very decent furniture and other household items. Definitely worth a look see when on tight budget.
This store is a great way to find bargains for home projects. Proceeds support Habitat for Humanity.
You never know what they have but the prices are great and weve never left empty handed. Even our teens love shopping there.
This is not a thrift store. Ive been to cleaner thrift stores. This is a junk store that sells donated items. There are no prices marked on anything. You bring what you want to the register and a volunteer will have you wait for a manager to guess a price for the item. It is non profit so your money is supposed to go to a good cause.
Great place to take stuff you dont need anymore that helps our community
I think the quality chair I found there looks perfect in our spare bedroom, what do you think ?
Most items are too pricey... Store is very clean and organized...
Found some good name brand things at great prices.
Awesome place.. Very helpful and friendly people
Better and better each visit! Keep up the good work. Im pleasantly surprised each time I visit.
Good stuff. Affordable prices
Lots of different merchandise and prices are very good. The employees were friendly and helpful.
Tons of stuff. Helpful staff. Decent prices.
I donate a lot here, as I do handyman type of work. Also find things I can use, so I buy also.
The habitat for humanity was surpose to be a lower cost for damaged goods, for lower prices. This one in west Pasco is a over priced thrift store. They get free items off of craigslist and offer up and put ridiculous prices on their items.I am very dissatisfied with them.
Beautiful items, but priced higher than new retail. Wish it was a little more affordable.
This is by far the most organized, well managed restore Ive been to - and I have shopped these stores a lot, in multiple states. Attentive staff, outstanding management, and over the top customer service.
Many thinks Lowes prices. Im grateful
Piles of stuff everywhere with dust and dirt galore but no marked prices. Woman at the counter thinks everything is a priceless collectible and prices way too high. Good grief! Prices are cheaper at the Salivating Army. Almost cheaper to go but things new.
Dont try to donate ANYTHING TO THEM. I called to donate a couch and they got to my home and told me it wasnt sellable. I have been in that store and the crap they have there! And my couch is unsellable!? Trust me the couch was fine!
Over priced on too many things but they will reduce price on some things. I still love shopping there
