Love save a lot always saving money plus here the manager is really a nice person

Every single time I go into this save a lot theres always only one person working the register. Most of them are not pleasant at all. When you ask for help they say if its not there then we dont have it. Thats fine but dont speak to me in a way like you dont want to be bothered or do your job. They are never ever pleasant

Its pretty good, I just keep forgetting my bags, lol. But I love shopping there

Great place for some things. Some items are crazy expensive. One brand of sausage that I usually buy was $1.50 more here than at other local stores.

They were out of several items that i wanted to purchase but otherwise this is one of two stores that i purchase my groceries from.

The store had a great choice but many packages were too large for the two of us. The selection is adequate but there were no carts. Thank heavens I brought 2 cloth bags with me. Good prices help too.

Theyre ok as far as your basic needs.

Make sure to check the dates thoroughly before buying anything. Grabbed a pack of bagels from this store yesterday that had apparently expired in early August. The other pack I grabbed was 3 weeks expired.

I dont understand why the baskets are wired together and you arent allowed to use them how are you supposed to get your groceries to the vehicle

The prices fix my budget well

They didnt have the specialty items we were looking for but we knew going in that is not how they keep their prices low.The place was very clean and organized. The ladies that work there were on the move not wasting a moment to keep everything stocked and clean.

The prices are good. I wish I had known you need to bring your own bags. If you dont, its ten cents for one of theres. I wish the store was bigger though. My husband got a big bag of loaded baked potato chips for $1.59. They were really tasty. He was really surprised by it.

Get in and out reasonably well, convenient shopping, sometimes cant find an item but thats Kool,helpful staff

Shopping at Save A Lot on in Gert town was the best experience of my morning so far today. I foundgreat variety and low prices. Their meat selection was good and the quality was better. Fruits and vegetables were fresh, attractive, and well stocked. I am super pleased and will return as often as possible. A solid 4.5 stars! Be sure to bring your own bags, low frills keep the prices down.

Basic groceries shopping

Very clean, well-organized and friendly staff. Few name brands that most would recognize, although this isnt a comment on quality. Id need to try them first.

Their canned goods are a low price and the off brands are not bad. The canned tuna they carry is better than the brand name ones. The staff is not very friendly and they are very slow, but the prices make it worth stocking up every couple of months.

Excellent produce and produce employee. I love that lady. She appears to care about the food. Everything looks fresh and clean and healthy. Unfortunately, Save-a-Lot doesnt sell parsley.

Great prices and around the corner from home. Staff needs some customer service skills training (too many attitudes). If it werent for the good prices, I wouldnt shop there.

In NOLA from LOUKY. Purchased the best porterhouse steak Ive had in quite a while, very tender AND inexpensive!! Purchasing the bag to carry my food out in made up the difference, I guess! Then, I had to bag it myself! I do intend to return tomorrow to purchase a couple more steaks! I will bring my bags with me!! 😳

Always has a good selection. Staff is really friendly. Always busy there. Clean. Lots of parking. They just need to get carts. People steal them and they dont get replaced.

Incredibly low prices, surprisingly well-stocked inventory. The parking lot is a disaster (i.e. really difficult to get into and out of, since its on the corner of two very busy streets and a lot of people use the parking lot as a way to avoid the intersection of said streets.) Be prepared to bring your own bag for your groceries, or pay a small fee (10 cents, if I recall correctly) for a plastic bag. I love coming here to stock up on goods to donate to homeless shelters and Second Harvest, because the canned goods are all priced very competitively.

This store is not convenient to the customers shopping experience. I went there to purchase a few items that didnt require a rolling shopping cart ( which requires .25 cents deposit) . I only needed a hand carrier.To my disappointment, I was advised that the store no longer provided the hand carrier. The reason given was : too many thefts of hand carts.So you have a security officer stationed at the entrance door but you cant prevent a shopping hand carrier theft ? This is not acceptable.Please improve your customer service accessibility to the usage of the hand carriers.

Only two people working the registers, long wait times every time I go there. Yet they do not get paid enough to deal with being undermanned! Shameful!!

Only 1 Clerk at Registers.4 others walking around adjusting boxes and behind desks!! Customers went asking for more registers to open, all refused. High props to Darius, the one clerk who patiently worked with each customer, while 4 others ignored the line that was 12 deep I was so irritated as this was my first time here that I called their Corp.Customer Care line even before I left the store.The level of apathy and shameful attitudes towards Customers who at the end of the work day are tired and just want to go home and feed their families.If any business needs a potentially exceptional employee, please go steal him away from this Store! Darius is his name...sorry I didnt get his last name. But he was patient, focused and really tried to do his best with customers who were exasperated by the other clerks refusing to facilitate a good store experience.

Very clean and put together store. Some employees can use some customer service training but overall pretty good.

If the cashiers greet One customer, I think I think its only Fair that they would greet others, of a different ethnicity! Otherwise, I found everybody courteous, the store to be clean, and the other staff will most helpful!

Good prices on dog food. Right next to Save-A-Lot, so easy to go make groceries after! Sometimes gets crowded and they wait until its kind of rediculous. Takes getting about 25 people waiting in one line before theyll open a second register. Otherwise, its all good.

Good produce, dairy, and meat. Some non perishables I like. Some I dont Nice to go to a smaller store. This one is usually a little nicer than the one on Claiborne

In New Orleans where I live my Save-A-Lot on Carrollton has the baskets that you have to pay a quarter to use I did that in the basket would not unlock I had to wait until a customer came and gave me a quarter to unlock another basket so they got my quarter and I appreciate that lady and I reported the problem to one of the ladies inside and she looked at me and see what I can help you.When I got in the shells were being well-stocked, and also it was a day that I got caught in a storm and I have no car but other than that everything was well

Very good bargains also sell many name brands groceries for less than big box stores

Save a lot is good for certain items.The cookies and cakes arw always fresh and the seafood is the cheapest.

There is no store that has everything u need & at a great price but here they usually have good meat at a decent price & good deals in general sometimes... Only have one criticism u can never reach them by telephone which is an inconvenience for me.

It is a self serve store. You can never find anyone to help locate an item. The fresh produce is bruised and open. Cashier check out takes forever. Only one cashier working even when lines are long. I only stop there in an emergency.

Small grocery with everything. Just not a large selection of brands. Excellent value for very good quality

This store has fresher produce and much cleaner then Chalmette store on West Judge Perez.

Although produce is B quality, its so inexpensive. Its not easy to spend $30 here. You really do save a lot.

The store is mostly clean - typical of a Sav-A-Lot. The selections are decent and the prices are ok. The prices are also typical of a Sav-A-Lot - less than major grocery chains and the same or slightly higher than Walmart. Its a neighborhood grocery and close to home - so... Shopping here is basically out of convenience.

Just horrible the butter had s nasty weird taste

I purchased a wic here about a little over a week ago. I opened up a gerber baby food sniff it first as I do all his food then taste it. But this one was spoiled the expiration date is 12/2018 some in 7/2019 it wasn’t good and running like water I open two more after that they all smelled bad. so I thrown all them out. I’ve try to call the store three days now no answer. You can’t even leave a voicemail. I wanted to return the ones I do have left but not sure on how since it was a wic. I’m going to WALMART tomorrow and I have to buy a month worth of food for my son because the food I brought from sav a lot isn’t good. So I advise anyone not to buy baby food for you baby here.

Its definitely a place for those thaare budget conscience. One of my cons are... the whole bagging thing!!! MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!! I dont shop there often at all...and when I make a quick stop there I ALWAYS forget about the whole bag thing. Ridiculous!! Justbadd a penny more to all the items in the store and the bags can be included!!!
