For a grocery store that’s smaller than today’s average supermarket, they have managed to have the vast majority of what I needed on any given shopping trip. Last time it was anchovies. They had ‘em!Then there’s the added benefit of the chance to see Doreen Ketchens and her family performing outside on Royal Street.

Ill give this full service French Quarter market 4 stars. I do have one thing to voice. There is an older female employee who was recently extremely rude to me although I go to the market sometimes twice each week. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but I feel there was no call for her attitude. I really didnt respond to her but she continued her rudeness as I left the store after my purchase.

Good spot to pick up some groceries, drinks, supplies.Órale, tamales a todas madre, aqui. Habla con el compa que está en la esquina con un tall boy. $ 5.Just outside is The Tamale Guy providing a vital public service for all the partiers craving something good to eat after a hard session. Tamale Guy is usually posted on the intersection of Royal & St. Peters but sometimes closer to Orleans Street. Cant miss him as hes got a permanent tall boy in hand.$5 for a hot tamale. Pork or chicken, both excellente. Tamale Guy out there at all hours, late into the night.Pro-tip: if you are going to eat on the spot, then recommend getting a plastic spoon or fork from inside Rouses to make it easier to eat. If you plan to eat somewhere else, youll want an extra paper bag as the tamales are served hot enough to be uncomfortable when holding in your hand. Its hit or miss if there is a good street performer playing but if youre lucky, Brian Wingard (opposite side of the picture from Tamale Guy) or someone of similar caliber is out there playing. If so, youre set: grab a tall boy from Rouses, a tamale (dont forget a fork) and break some change so you can tip Brian. Youre evening is set and you can thank me later.

Better late than never. Unfortunately we didnt run across this until the last day we we were staying. No price gouging in the French Quarter. We stopped in to see how much Vodka cost and ended up leaving with a basket full of beer for the night, the Vodka, a bunch of seasoning, sausage......Very happy

Convenient for tourist and locals whom reside in the French Quarter. Prices are no different from other Rouses, but they do not follow the company’s weekly sales ad. Clean, but extremely tiny space-as expected with French Quarter shops.

This locations late night hours are incredibly convenient for service workers in the French Quarter. They have a decent enough selection for a tiny grocer. The employees are sassy but in a good way. The prices are a bit higher than other locations but nothing I wouldnt expect in the quarter. I am willing to pay for the convenience of a grocer open until 1am, a mere block from where I work.

For such a beautiful market, this market was missing the more eclectic, finer selections. John the parking lot attendant was fantastic! The liquor store had a phenomenal selection. The store is absolutely clean and pristine. Theres covered parking if you order ahead and want your food delivered to your car. But I went to find exclusive chocolates and as fast as his store was I was surprised at how little the selection there was. Theres nothing like 88% cocoyo chocolate in my coffee every morning. Along with a dollop of coconut oil, butter, salt, Splenda. Still was a nice visit. I would return for sure!

I’m a local and come here all the time. Today, another customer was having trouble understanding the line situation. I explained it to her and she was understanding. The cashier who witnessed the situation was not. She followed me outside, came up to me and told me to “eat sh$t and die”.

I have shopped here so many times every time I am in NOLA. The best spot to buy booze while in the middle of The French Quarter!! I always stay at Bourbon Orleans Hotel so this is a quick walk back to the room... or back to Bourbon st...

The store has a face lift. The interior really needed it. However, the store overall size and no public parking allow nearby stores in the near vicinity a competitive advantage.

It takes 30 minutes just to buy a $1 bottle of water. Every time the line is through the entire length of the store. They just dont care. One sleepy cashier every time, for the masses of people. Its like this is not the private sector. They just dont want people and dont want sales, I guess.

Great grocery in the middle of the French Quarters. This place will have everything you need whether you are looking for something to cook in your hotel, a quick snack or a refreshing drink. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place is well stocked and merchandised well for the limited space they have. Thanks Rouses!

Smack dab right in the middle of the quarter and is very convenient when youre hungry and you need the munchies like ASAP Rouses Market is not very far from anywhere and I like shopping at Rouses Market and supporting their causes when they sponsor baseball teams and softball teams and other sports events that got our children keeping busy in the streets not only do they sell groceries but theyre part of the community

Okay, listen up people. Save your money. Go to Rouses on Royal by the cathedral. Buy yourself a nice chicken dinner from the display near the door. Keep walking to the east wall, lined with coolers. Every drink you could possibly want to drink is available by Bourbon Street size can. You can pick up ten cans of beer or margarita or what not for about ten dollars. Walk on over to Jackson Square or Bourbon Street and have yourself an open air picnic. Watch the people wander the street looking for fun and take a long drag on your Ling Ling beer. Because now you know, the good times start within!

Much love to Sammantha! She’s my favorite cashier, and always sends me off with a smile and warm energy! This is my go to grocery store when in the French Quarters. Love the staff, consistency in fresh produce, and clean store. Pricey but worth it. No parking. They also have a large selection of liquor, bar and home supplies.

Tip Top. Large selection of local products (hot sauces, Tabasco, spice mixtures), prices lower than other shops and boobies (I visited a package during my stay, I like it in the background). I recommend 100%, if you do not have much time on the spot, go straight there without wasting time in the tourist shops.
