When I visited theyre definitely observing a much more safer version of the shop with the doorway covered with a barrier and a table. They have a wonderful pour over black roast that was exactly what I needed! It might take a few minutes to get your drink but its well worth the wait. Make sure to tip your server!
Small but mighty coffee shop! Quality over quantity for the menu as well; only a few specialty items, but they are truly unique and flavorful. My spouse and I both ordered iced specialty drinks. The iced coffee is strong. For those concerned about COVID protocol, there is a sturdy boundary between customers and employee. Service was excellent. We had a nice conversation with the employee about visiting Japan. To-go orders only.
The coffee was good but I didn’t taste any Mexican vanilla. Also, I spilled the coffee a little and she said they don’t have so either lying or incompetent.
Adorable little coffee shop in the French Quarter. This is where the locals go, and for good reason. Get the Las Tres Flores latte. It was *so* good, and with a really pretty presentation. Super nice barista and some great conversation while waiting in line. I would defintiely go back next time Im in NOLA!
Coffee was good but service was so slow we won’t be returning. Waited 35 minutes for a cup of coffee with only a couple people in line ahead of me, and this is not a sit-down cafe it’s a walk-up window.
Really nice little cute cafe on St. Peter street with some solid espresso drinks. The cafe is pretty small so its easy to miss it while walking along the street but look for the spitfire coffee sign and you will strike gold. Their lattes and cappuccinos are really strong and rich. The rose petals sprinkled on the lavender milk latte gives it a nice flavor and aroma. All in all, this is a really good coffee shop with awesome espressos and very courteous staff. We would certainly be visiting again for their espressos and whole heatedly recommend it to others!
Spitfire coffee was awesome! I really wanted to try a locally owned coffee shop in the French Quarter and I have absolutely no regrets. Talking to the workers felt like I was just talking to friends and the Mexican vanilla latte was delicious. Definitely go check it out if you find yourself in the quarter! :)
Great coffee. Nice staff.
Good coffee but a little on the pricy side.
It’s a fantastic lil hole in the wall with not only some of the best coffee in the city but also the friendliest staff ever!
Great pricing and service for some of the best coffee Ive had in New Orleans. Location is convenient as well as its near most of the action in the french quarter.
This coffee shop was recommended to us. Its teeny tiny and I did think it was adorable. I wasnt thrilled with the service. A little too pretentious. We had a Brown Butter Mocha and a Mexican Vanilla Latte with alternative milk. Neither of us liked our coffees and we both ended dumping them out. I cant think of a time I threw out a coffee Id purchased like this. We both tried to power through, but both of our coffees were just not tasty.
Really good coffee and conversation. Knowledgeable and passionate as well, give them a visit.
Small space with a good selection of pour over coffees. The espresso menu is complete with lattes, macchiato, and cortado. We tried the brown butter mocha and Mexican vanilla latte. The mocha had a dark, bittersweet chocolate. The vanilla latte had a strong vanilla flavor, but was not too sweet. Definitely check this place out, it is worth it!
Specialty coffee oasis right in the city. The espresso is fantastic, a longer double shot that was really well extracted and super nuanced. Cappuccino and the brown butter mocha (!!) were real well made, well steamed and well presented. The barista knew what he was doing for sure!Cant wait to return to this place
Great coffee!! Got an iced oat milk latte and an iced regular vanilla latte. Their vanilla mix or syrup whatever it is, is unbeatable.
Top 5 lattes of my life. We got the Las Tres Flores, iced and hot. They had slightly different flavor profiles and were absolutely delicious
Excellent coffee bar in the perfect spot. Tatiana was lovely!
The Cuban Cortado at Spitfire Coffee came highly recommended and Im so glad we had the chance to stop by on our visit. It was fantastic, best coffee Ive had in New Orleans so far! The barista was friendly and helpful, even while working under covid restrictions. I highly recommend if youre in the French quarter that you take the time to stop off and have some coffee.
Covid friendly, nice staff, delicious coffee creations.
This was the worst latte I ever had. It tasted like watered down espresso with milk. It left a film in my mouth too. The only thing good about this place is that they gave me my money back.
Can we have a serious conversation for a moment? I know it’s early.I’ve been on a, sometimes hopeless, search for the perfect cup of coffee. I order coffee online, sometimes find some at small businesses, and other times a restaurant. Let me be clear, I don’t mean some commercialized coffee store! I mean C O F F E E! Finding genuinely good coffee ☕️ is a task. So, when I do, I celebrate exponentially while grasping the hot cup of delicious, bold, savory, God-like, scrumptious goodness! So, do you now have a slight grasp of how I feel about coffee?? Ok, then let’s chat! This place surpasses every good thing I’ve ever felt about coffee. I, seriously, wanted to take the top off my cup and crawl down inside the cup and swim in it! It’s that much of a pleasure to drink it.While I’d like to keep my love affair private, I’m choosing to share with you. Therefore, you should go try it!
Great coffee, friendly staff. No frills, just a small simple coffee shop. Dont expect to sit down, as there is only seating for about 4 or 5 people. But great to just pick up and go. If youre a coffee snob, youll love the coffee. If youre looking for a cafe to sit and and people watch, look elsewhere.
Amazing coffee for anyone who wont settle for the ordinary.
Incredible oat milk laté and the music they were playing had me dancing before caffeine
So fresh and full of flavours. Great to sit in the morning with a good coffee. The food was excellent as was the service...
If you are looking for great coffee in the French Quarter, then you should definitely visit Spitfire. The place is very small with little seating but the friendly staff keep you entertained as the create your drink. The aroma inside the shop is great. You will not be disappointed by this little gem.
Really good! Had the cuban cortado. Rich, smooth, and excellent
Giving a five stars because the staff is great and I never had an issue. Me and my gf have been coming for years. Only one issue is coffee is a little rushed when the line is long and missing some love. However due to covid Im giving them another chance before I rate again. Just please take time dont let these other rude people stress yall out, its a little shop and patience is a virtue. Good luck see yall soon
The special coffee selection they offered was spectacular!! I highly recommend this coffee shop to anybody out there that enjoys high quality coffee. This place is eons about starbucks. I had the cubano and honestly i was blown away. The barista that assisted us was extremely friendly and knowledgable about everything coffee related. 5/5 HIGHLY recommend.
Really appreciate the time and effort put into each drink. Appreciate the man working alone to serve everyone on a busy Sunday morning as well. The las tres Flores was surprisingly delicious!
Quaint. Adapted to covid situation. Nice to just walk up and order.
The coffee is just really really good.
My cappuccino’s taste is more milky than espresso.
It’s the best coffee I ever tried in US. It’s as good as in Italy
We loved the coffee here and the oat milk option! Would def come back!
Delicious. Excellent flavor, perfect temperature. It is a tiny place, and we walked by it and back before we found it.I gave it four stars because you can not make your own if you want a specific drink (Caramel lattes are out). They have a menu of 3 flavored lattes. I chose the Mexican vanilla (half sweet). It was wonderful.
I love local coffee shops as they offer a bit different taste and style than a traditional one in my opinion. I got the cold brew with some vanilla and cream... so smooth and delicious! Please do yourself a favor and step away from the chains to give this place a try!
Good coffee. Tres flores tasted amazing
Cashless is classist! I work in a cash only business and we have had no issues from covid using cash. Please stop this discrimination
This is a really cool hole in the wall. I really love the presentation of the drinks and the beautiful latte art. The barista Nigel is really cool and knowledgeable about coffee! This place is definitely worth visiting if youre in the French Quarters!
Its unique and wonderful! I had one of the best cups of coffee here!!
Top notch shop. They do a lot in their 250 square feet. They have a stellar rotation of roasters (some offered as a pour over and others offered as cold brew) as well as the typical line up of espresso and espresso m-based drinks (with the addition of a few signature espresso drinks). I had two different pour overs (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and both were prepared extremely well. Will be my first and last stop every time I visit the Big Easy.
The espresso will make your hair stand on end.
Great spot for the grab and go crowd! The coffee is made fresh and hot or cold, whichever way you like it. Its not much of a space to hang out and do work in, but its nice lil nook to take a coffee break.
Some of the most delicious coffee Ive had. Very small space but efficient. The barista took care to ensure a quality product each time. Highly recommend.
Small place but much better coffee/espresso than the cattle herd places. Great unwind. Definitely worth a stop to break between all the eating in the French Quarter.
This place sells the best coffee I have ever had. It is bound to have a line but is definitely worth the wait. Be patient and order from the menu..this is not a Starbucks where you custom order your drink and it shows. This is way better than Starbucks.Order the Mexican Vanilla Latte with oat milk. This mixture is amazing.
I love this little place. I go every time Im near Jackson Square. If you are a coffee lover, this place is a real savior in the area. There are lots of great espresso and pour over options here. Roast options are always changing, but always high quality. They also have coldbrew if its too hot out. There isnt much room inside, but thats not what this place is about.
Fantastic latte. Great service. Tiny space, hole in the wall that we happened upon. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommend.
Adorable tiny Coffee Spot where you can actually get a decent latte. A lot of the cafes around here only sell regular coffee. This spot was cute and delicious and affordable. The people there were super friendly.
If you are in the French Quarter...go here! This is not at all a far walk from much of the tourist attractions in the area, and it’s a great stop if you’re coming and going in the morning. They have many creative selections to choose from. The staff was incredibly friendly both times I went.
Great coffee, but location is tight and difficult to get too. They were so overwhelmed with customers they couldnt keep up at all. Will try again as I am a coffee lover. I ordered something quick ad easy to make as we were packed like sardines and they were so deep in orders already. Would love to try other options.
Great spot if your in the French Quarter looking for a quality pour over. Since the coffee scene hasn’t quite made it to New Orleans, this was a pleasant surprise. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. I’ll definitely be back when I visit NOLA again.
Incredible. Get the Mexican vanilla latte. It’s not super sugary but so smooth. Staff was nice and seemed to like being there. It is very small, so if you see a line, it might be a while. My husband and I went here every day of our NOLA trip. Highly recommended.
Small location, amazing coffee, great team behind the counter. Good pastries (while they last).
Hole in the wall..... Literally! We almost didnt even see this place, but so glad we did. Only one employee was working, which got a little crazy when several people walked in. Ordered a vanilla latte, which was super tasty! Even though she was busy, she didnt neglect the pour over my husband ordered. If I lived locally, Id be at Spitfire all the time!
Very tasty cortado. Only a few seats, but good music and friendly service. If youre looking for quality coffee, this is a good choice.
Hidden gem of a coffee shop right next to the park and all the touristy spots. Excellent cortados and coffee. Theres a small bit of a wait usually but thats the extra price you pay for their quality coffee/service which definitely makes it worth the trip.
